Surface-to-Surface Measuring
1. Press and release the ON button to activate the laser. A red laser dot will appear on any target surface at which the
device is aimed, and a measurement will appear in the device display. The measurement represents the distance from
the base of the device to the target.
2. Place the base of the device against the surface from which you want to measure. Shift the base of device until the red
laser dot appears steadily on the target surface to which you want to measure.
3. Press and release the ON button again to lock the target distance in the display for easy reading. The laser dot
disappears when the distance locks in the display. To resume measuring, press and release the ON button.
NOTE:
The device does not measure distances less than 1' 5".
