IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:

disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
14. Be sure handles are properly assembled to basket and locked in place. See detailed assembly
instructions.

16. WARNING: POSSIBLE ERUPTION. WATER'S REACTION TO

17. Before use, check that your local voltage corresponds with the specifications shown on the
appliance nameplate located under the appliance.
18. Only connect the appliance to electrical sockets which have a minimum load of 15A. If the
sockets and the plug on the appliance should prove incompatible, get a professionally qualified
technician to replace the socket with a more suitable one.
19. This electrical equipment operates at high temperatures which may cause burns. Do not touch
the hot surfaces of the appliance (lid, plastic parts...).
20. To ensure safe operation, oversized foods must not be inserted into the appliance.
21. Do not overload the pan. For safety reasons never exceed the maximum quantity.

22. The cooking times are given as guidelines only.
23. Do not leave the cord hanging.
24. Do not unplug the appliance by pulling on the cord.
25. Always unplug the appliance immediately after use, when moving it and prior to any cleaning or
maintenance.
26. In the event of fire, never try to extinguish the flames with water. Unplug the a ppliance. Close
the lid, if it is not dangerous to do so. Smother the flames with a damp cloth.
27. Do not move the appliance when it is full of hot food.
28. Never immerse the appliance in water!
29. This appliance is not suitable for recipes with a high-liquid content (eg. soups, cookingsauces...).
30. Never turn on the appliance if the cooking pan is empty.
31. Do not overfill the cooking pan, never exceed the indicated quantities or maximum food level
mark (for French fries only).
32. Ensure that the lid and bowl are completely dry after washing and before use.
33. The oil level must always be between the Min. and Max. markings.
34. Never operate your fryer without any oil.
35. This model is equipped with a permanent metallic filter, which does not need to be changed.
36. This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote
control system.
37. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
38. This appliance is intended to be used in household only.
It is not intended to be used in the following applications, and the guarantee will not apply for :

POLARIZATION INSTRUCTIONS (USA)
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk
of electric shock this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
Do not use with an extension cord.
A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

BEFORE FIRST USE
The fryer can be completely dismantled.
• Remove the lid and the filter. Remove the frying basket, the bowl
and the spatula (depending on model).
• Clean the lid, the spatula, the lid of the filter, the bowl, the frying
basket with soap and water or put them in the dishwasher.
• Clean the housing separately with a sponge (not too wet).
• Dry thoroughly.
• Position the bowl in the housing.
Do not immerse the
housing in water.
Do not clean the carbon

Frying process
• After the bowl has been filled with oil, plug in the fryer without
the frying basket.
• Set the On/Off switch button to position I and the temperature
indicator light will switch on. Position the adjustable
thermostat to the desired temperature .
• The fryer will now start to heat the oil.
• Note : the temperature indicator light will switch off when the
desired temperature is reached.
• Remove excess moisture (water & ice) from food.
• Place food in the basket without overfilling. Notice the MAX
food level marking on the basket. Reduce the quantities for
frozen foods.
• After the temperature light has turned off, place and lower the
basket slowly into the frying oil. Plunging the basket too
rapidly in the oil may cause it to overflow.
• Set the cooking time : press on the timer button to set the time
minute by minute. Release the button. The selected time is
displayed and the countdown starts.
• For best results we recommend using vegetable oil.
• If you use solid vegetable shortening (not recommended): Cut it into small pieces, melt it in a
separate pan then pour the melted shortening into the fryer bowl.

Put the lid on the fryer.
• Frying is complete when the cooking time has elapsed and
food is the desired color and texture.
• Remove the lid carefully to avoid condensation (drops of
water) dripping into the oil.
• Allow excess oil to drain by hooking the basket on the
support on the inner bowl.
• Do not cover the basket with the lid.
• Raise the basket slowly .
• Leave to drain for 30 seconds
• When you are done frying your food, set the On/Off switch
to the O position.
• Unplug the appliance and let it cool for about 3 hours with
the lid on.
We recommend that you:
Change your oil regularly.
For quality and fast
cooking, limit the quantity
of French fries to 1/2 a
basket at a time.
Do not touch the fryer
when it is in use as it will be

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always unplug your fryer and leave it to cool completely before
cleaning it (approx. 3 hours).
• Remove the lid from the fryer.
• Remove the basket.
• Remove the bowl and empty it (oil, water, waste).
• The lid (remove the filter before), the basket, the removable
bowl and the spatula (depending on model) can be washed in
the dishwasher or in hot water with dish soap .
• Clean the housing separately with a sponge (not too wet).
• Do not use an abrasive pad or any abrasive or
alcohol based cleaning products.
• Dry all parts thoroughly before replacing them.
• Place the removable bowl, the basket and the
lid back on the fryer.
Carry the container with
both hands.
Store it in a cool dry place
away from the light and
especially from humidity.
Do not pour used oil in the
sink.

PRÉCAUTIONS IMPORTANTES
Lorsque vous utilisez des appareils électriques, veillez à prendre quelques

Ne touchez pas les surfaces chaudes de l’appareil (filtre, hublot, parois métalliques (selon le
modèle), autres parties métalliques apparentes…).
20. Pour une utilisation en toute sécurité, n’introduisez pas d’aliments trop volumineux dans l’appareil.
21. Ne surchargez pas votre panier, respectez les quantités limites sécuritaires.
22. Les temps de cuisson sont donnés à titre indicatif.
23. Ne laissez pas pendre le cordon.
24. Ne débranchez pas l’appareil en tirant sur le cordon.
25. Débranchez toujours l'appareil immédiatement après l'avoir utilisé, pour le déplacer ou pour le
nettoyer.
26. En cas de feu, ne tentez jamais d’éteindre les flammes avec de l’eau. Étouffez les flammes avec
un linge humide.
27. Ne déplacez pas l’appareil contenant des aliments chauds.
28. Ne plongez jamais l’appareil dans l'eau !
29. Cet appareil ne convient pas à la préparation de recettes liquides (soupes...).

31. Ne surchargez pas le plat, respectez les quantités recommandées.
32. Après le nettoyage, assurez-vous que le couvercle et la cuve sont complètement secs avant de les utiliser.
33. Ne dépassez jamais les quantités Min. et Max. de matière grasse.
34. Ne faites jamais fonctionner votre friteuse à vide (sans matière grasse).
35. Votre friteuse est dotée d’un filtre métallique permanent ; il n’est pas nécessaire de le changer.
36. Cet appareil n'est pas destiné à être mis en marche au moyen d'une minuterie extérieure ou par
un système de commande à distance.
37. Cet appareil n’est pas conçu pour être utilisé par des personnes (y compris les enfants) dont les

Votre appareil est muni d'une fiche polarisée (une lame est plus large que l’autre), ce qui a pour but
de réduire les risques de décharges électriques. Cette fiche ne se branche que dans un sens. Si la fiche
ne rentre pas correctement dans la prise murale, mettez-la dans l’autre sens. Si elle ne rentre toujours
pas, contactez un électricien. Ne modifiez en aucune façon la fiche.
INSTRUCTIONS CONCERNANT LE CORDON D’ALIMENTATION
N’utilisez pas de rallonge ; le produit est fourni avec un cordon d’alimentation court afin d’éviter
qu'il ne s’emmêle ou que l’on trébuche dessus.

AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
La friteuse peut être complètement démontée.
• Retirez le couvercle et le filtre. Retirez le panier à friture, la cuve
et la spatule (en fonction du modèle).
• Nettoyez le couvercle, la spatule, le couvercle de filtre, la cuve, le
panier de friture avec de l'eau et du savon ou mettez-les dans le
lave-vaisselle.
• Nettoyez le boîtier séparément avec une éponge (pas trop humide).
• Séchez soigneusement.
• Placez la cuve dans le boîtier.
Ne plongez pas le boîtier
dans l'eau.
Ne nettoyez pas le filtre à
charbon.
Changez le filtre après 40

Processus de friture
• Une fois la cuve remplie d'huile, branchez la friteuse sans le
panier à friture.
• Réglez le bouton Marche/Arrêt de l'interrupteur à la position I
et le voyant de température s'allumera. Réglez le thermostat à
la température désirée.
• La friteuse va maintenant commencer à chauffer l'huile.
• Remarque : le voyant de température s'éteint lorsque la
température désirée est atteinte.
• Retirez l'excès d'humidité (eau et glace) de la nourriture.
• Placez les aliments dans le panier sans trop le remplir.
Remarquez la marque de niveau d'aliments MAX sur le panier.
Réduisez les quantités dans le cas d'aliments surgelés.
• Une fois que le voyant de température est éteint, placez
et descendez le panier lentement dans l'huile de friture.
Plonger le panier trop rapidement dans l'huile peut la faire
déborder.
• Réglez le temps de cuisson : appuyez sur le bouton de la
minuterie pour régler le temps de cuisson, à intervalles d'une
minute. Relâchez le bouton. Le temps de cuisson sélectionné
est affiché et le compte à rebours commence.
• Pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats possibles, nous recommandons l'huile végétale.
• Si vous utilisez du shortening végétal solide (non recommandé), coupez-le en petits morceaux,
faites-le fondre dans une casserole, puis versez-le dans la cuve de la friteuse.

Mettez le couvercle sur la friteuse.
• La friture est terminée lorsque le temps de cuisson est écoulé
et que la nourriture est de la couleur et de la texture désirée.
• Retirez le couvercle avec précaution afin d'éviter que de la
condensation (gouttes d'eau) ne tombe dans l'huile.
• Laissez l'excédent d'huile s'égoutter en accrochant le panier
sur le support sur la cuve intérieure.
• Ne couvrez pas le panier avec le couvercle.
• Levez le panier lentement.
• Laissez égoutter pendant 30 secondes
• Lorsque vous avez terminé de faire frire vos aliments, réglez
le commutateur Marche/Arrêt à la position O.
• Débranchez l'appareil et laissez-le refroidir pendant environ
3 heures en laissant le couvercle en place.
Nous vous recommandons :
de changer l'huile
régulièrement.
Pour une cuisson de qualité
et rapide, limitez la
quantité de frites à un 1/2
panier à la fois.
Ne touchez pas la friteuse
pendant l'utilisation, car
elle sera extrêmement
chaude et peut causer de
graves brûlures.

• Débranchez toujours votre friteuse et laissez-la refroidir
complètement avant de la nettoyer (environ 3 heures).
• Retirez le couvercle de la friteuse.
• Retirez le panier.
• Retirez la cuve et videz-la (huile, eau, déchets).

INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA POLARIZACIÓN : ESPECIAL PARA USA

La freidora puede desarmarse completamente.
• Retire la tapa y el filtro. Retire la cesta de freír, el recipiente y la
espátula (según el modelo).

cesta de freír con agua y jabón, o bien, colóquelos en el
lavavajillas.

Proceso de fritura
• Una vez llenado con aceite el recipiente, enchufe la freidora sin
la cesta de freír.
• Coloque el botón del interruptor de Encendido/Apagado en la
posición I para que se encienda la luz indicadora de
temperatura. Posicione el termostato ajustable en la
temperatura deseada.
• Ahora, la freidora empezará a calentar el aceite.
• Nota : la luz indicadora de temperatura se apagará cuando se
alcance la temperatura deseada.
• Retire la humedad en exceso (agua y hielo) del alimento a freír.
• Coloque el alimento en la cesta, sin desbordarla. Observe la
marca de nivel de alimentos MÁX en la cesta. En caso de
alimentos congelados, reduzca la cantidad.
• Una vez apagada la luz de temperatura, coloque
y haga descender la cesta lentamente al aceite de freír.
Si sumerge la cesta muy rápidamente en el aceite,
esto podría producir un desborde.
• Establezca el tiempo de cocción: presione sobre el botón del
temporizador para establecer el tiempo minuto por minuto.
Suelte el botón. Se muestra el tiempo seleccionado y se inicia
la cuenta regresiva.
• Para obtener mejores resultados, se recomienda usar aceite vegetal.
• Si usa grasa vegetal sólida (no se recomienda): córtela en pequeños trozos, derrítala en una
olla separada y, luego, vierta la grasa derretida en el recipiente de la freidora.

Coloque la tapa sobre la freidora.
• El proceso de fritura se completa una vez transcurrido el
tiempo de cocción y una vez que el alimento tenga el color y
la contextura deseados.
• Retire la tapa con precaución para evitar que la
condensación (gotas de agua) ingrese al aceite.
• Deje drenar el exceso de aceite al colgar la cesta en el
soporte del recipiente interno.
• No cubra la cesta con la tapa.
• Eleve la cesta lentamente.
• Deje drenar durante 30 segundos
• Cuando termine de freír sus alimentos, deje el interruptor de
Encendido/Apagado en posición O.
• Desenchufe el aparato y deje que se enfríe durante
aproximadamente 3 horas con la tapa colocada.
Le recomendamos que:

LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
• Siempre desenchufe la freidora y deje que se enfríe
completamente antes de limpiarla (aprox. 3 horas).
• Retire la tapa de la freidora.
• Retire la cesta.
• Retire el recipiente y vacíelo (aceite, agua, desechos).
• La tapa (primero, retire el filtro), la cesta, el recipiente extraíble
y la espátula (según el modelo) pueden lavarse en el
lavavajillas o en agua caliente con jabón de lavar.
• Limpie la carcasa por separado con una esponja (no muy
mojada).
• No use una esponja abrasiva ni ningún tipo de producto
abrasivo o a base de alcohol.
• Seque completamente todas las partes antes
de reemplazarlas.
• Coloque el recipiente extraíble, la cesta y la
tapa detrás de la freidora.

Los datos que aparecen en la Lista de Países corresponden también al Centro de Servicio Autorizado directo y sitio para compra de refacciones y accesorios. TEFAL/T-FAL cubrirá los gastos de transportación
razonablemente erogados para el cumplimiento de esta garantía, exclusivamente para aquellos sitios donde no se cuente con un centro de servicio autorizado.
