Choose Your Connection
There are several ways to connect your television,
depending on the components you want to connect
and the quality of the signal you want to achieve. The
following are examples of some dierent ways to
connect your TV with dierent input sources.
Connecting a VCR
To avoid picture noise (interference), leave an adequate
distance between the VCR and TV.
Connection Option 1
Set VCR output switch to channel 3 or 4 and then tune
the TV to the same channel number.
Connection Option 2
Connect the audio and video cables from the VCR’s A
output jacks to the TV input jacks, as shown in the
figure. When connecting the TV to VCR, match the
jack colors (Video = yellow, Audio Left = white, and
Audio Right = red). If you connect a S-VIDEO output
from VCR to the S-VIDEO input, the picture quality is
improved, compared to connecting a regular VCR to
the VIDEO input.
Insert a video tape into the VCR and press

How to connect
Connect the audio and video cables from the •
external equipment’s output jacks to the TV input
jacks, as shown in the figure.
When connecting the TV to external equipment, •
match the jack colors (Video = yellow, Audio Left =
white, and Audio Right = red).

Select the input source using the A INPUT button on
the remote control.

How to connect
Connect the DVD video outputs (COMPONENT) to A

Connecting a DTV (digital TV)
This TV can receive Digital Over-the-air/Cable signals
without an external digital set-top box. However, if you do
receive Digital signals from a digital set-top box or other
digital external device, refer to the figure as shown below.
This TV supports HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital
Contents Protection) protocol for Digital Contents
(480p,720p,1080i).
How to connect
Use the TV’s COMPONENT, HDMI jack for video •
connections, depending on your set-top box
connector. Then, make the corresponding audio
connections.
How to use
Turn on the digital set-top box. (Refer to the owner’s A
manual for the digital set-top box.)

Connecting a digital audio output
Send the TV’s audio to external audio equipment (stereo
system) via the Digital Audio Output (Optical) port.
How to connect
Connect one end of an optical cable to the TV Digital A
Audio (Optical) Output port.
Connect the other end of the optical cable to the

digital audio (optical) input on the audio equipment.

such as amplifers or speakers, please turn the TV
speakers o.

Caution:
Do not look into the optical output port. Looking •
at the laser beam may damage your vision.
Connecting a computer
How to connect
To get the best picture quality, adjust the PC graphics A
card to 1280s 1024.
Use the TV’s VGA or DVI (Digital Visual Interface)B
and AUDIO IN port for computer connections,
depending on your computer connector.
If the graphic card on the computer does not •
output analog and digital RGB simultaneously,
connect only one of either PC IN or HDMI IN to
display the VGA on the TV.
If the graphic card on the computer does output •
analog and digital RGB simultaneously, set the TV
to either VGA or HDMI.
Then, make the corresponding audio connection. If

using a sound card, adjust the PC sound as required.
How to use
Turn on the computer and the TV.A
Use INPUT on the remote control to select PC or B
HDMI source.
Check the image on your TV. There may be noise
C
associated with the resolution, vertical pattern,
contrast or brightness in PC mode. If noise is present,
change the PC to another resolution, change the
refresh rate to another rate or adjust the brightness
and contrast on the menu until the picture is clear.
If the refresh rate of the PC graphic card can not be
changed, change the PC graphic card or consult the
manufacturer of the PC graphic card.
Note
Avoid keeping a fixed image on the TV’s screen ❏
for a long period of time. The fixed image may
become permanently imprinted on the screen.
The synchronization input form for Horizontal and ❏
Vertical frequencies is separate.

How To Connect
Connect the source device to HDMI port of this TV A
with an HDMI cable (not supplied with this product).
No separated audio connection is necessary.

How To Use
If the source device supports Auto HDMI function, •
the output resolution of the source device will be
automatically set to 1280s720p.
If the source device does not support Auto HDMI, •
you need to set the output resolution appropriately.
To get the best picture quality, adjust the output
resolution of the source device to 1280s720p.
Select HDMI input source in input source option of •
Selecting Main source menu.
When the source device (DVD player or Set Top Box)
supports DVI
How To Connect
Connect the source device to HDMI port of this TV A
with a DVI-to-HDMI cable (not supplied with this
product).
A separated audio connection is necessary.

DVI AUDIO In port located on the side of PC port.
How To Use
If the source device supports Auto DVI function, •
the output resolution of the source device will be
automatically set to 1280s720p.
If the source device does not support Auto DVI, you •
need to set the output resolution appropriately.
To get the best picture quality, adjust the output
resolution of the source device to 1280s720p.
Press the • INPUT button to select HDMI input source
in input source option of Selecting Main source
menu.
Operation
In the manual, the OSD (on screen display) may be
dierent from your TV’s, because it is just an example to
help you with the TV operation.
There are several options you might need to set up in
order for your TV to work properly. Read the instructions
that follow.
Switching On/O the TV set
First, connect power cord correctly.A
Select the viewing source by using B INPUT button on
the remote control.
When finished using the TV, press

the remote control. The TV reverts to standby mode.
If you intend to be away on vacation, disconnect the

power plug from the wall power outlet.
Note
If the TV in power on , the screen show information ❏
according the type of input signal. If there is no
signal, “No Signal” will display on the screen.

When you start using your set for the first time, you must
select the language which will be used for displaying
menus and indications.

Choose the Input source
Change the picture source so you can watch your TV, Be
sure any other devices are connected to your TV.
Press A INPUT button to enter the Input Source menu

HDMI3,HDMI4, USB).

Picture Menu
The TV menu gives you an overview of the menus you

The picture mode provides the pre-defined images
settings:

Brightness ❖
This will adjust the light output of the complete
picture, which will mainly aect the darker areas of
the picture.
Color ❖
This will adjust the saturation level of the colors to suit
your personal preference.
Tint ❖
Allows you to select the color mix (Tine) of the picture.
Sharpness ❖
This will adjust the sharpness of fine details in the
picture.
Note
The picture options can only be adjusted in the ❏
User mode. The other picture modes are preset.

the audio listening eld wider and deeper to create
exceptional sound quality from the TV's speakers

MTS/SAP : This TV can receive MTS stereo programs
and SAP (Secondary Audio Program) that accompanies
the stereo program, if the station transmits an additional
sound signal as well as the original one.
When having selected
MTS/SAP button on the remote
control, this TV can only receive the signal when the TV
station transmits the proper signals.
Mono sound is automatically received if the broadcast is only
in Mono, even though Stereo or SAP has been selected.
Select Mono if you want to listen to mono sound during
stereo/ SAP broadcasting. Stereo or SAP can be received
in a Analog channel.
Use
A MTS/SAP button to select your desired MTS
mode in a analog signal.
Each time you press •
MTS/SAP
button, Mono,
Stereo or SAP appear. If other languages are
available on the digital signal, select them with the
noise and improves picture quality when receiving
weak video signals: On or O.
Color temperature ❖
This will increase or decrease Warm (red) and Cool
(blue) colors to suit personal preferences.
Select Cool to give the white colors a blue tint,
Standard to give the white colors a neutral tint, Warm
to give the white colors a red tint.
Dynamic Contrast ❖
To adjust the dynamic contrast: O/Low/Medium/
Strong.
Backlight ❖
To adjust the brightness of Backlight.

Please do not unplug the USB device when the
connected USB storage device is working. When such

Cleaning the Screen
Here’s a great way to keep the dust o your screen A
for a while. Wet a soft cloth in a mixture of lukewarm
water and a little fabric softener or dish washing

Production of the LCD screen requires high and ❏
precision technologies. However, there might be
some dark or bright (red, blue or green) spots, or
some anomalistic stripes or spots. This is not defect.
If the TV set is used in an area 2,400 meters above
the sea level where the air pressure is below 750hpa,
the picture on the LCD screen may be aected
and a mued sound might be produced. These
phenomena might happen in the area 1,500 meters
above the sea level. This is resulted from dierence
between air pressures inside and outside the display.
This is not a defect covered by the limited warranty.

Elija su conexión
Hay muchas formas de conectar su televisor,
dependiendo de los componentes que quiera conectar
y la calidad de señal que desee lograr. Los siguientes son
ejemplos de distintas formas de conectar su televisor
con distintas fuentes de entrada.
Conectando un equipo de video
Para evitar interferencia de la imagen, deje una distancia
adecuada entre el video y el televisor.
Conexión Opción 1
Fije el interruptor de salida de video en el canal 3 o
4 y luego sintonice el televisor en el canal del mismo
número.
Conexión Opción 2
Conecte los cables de audio y video de los A
terminales de salida del video a los terminales de
entrada del televisor, como se muestra en la gura.
Cuando conecte el televisor al video, debe calzar
los colores de los terminales (video=amarillo, audio
izquierdo=blanco y audio derecho=rojo). Si conecta
una salida de S-VIDEO del equipo de video a la
entrada S-VIDEO, la calidad de la imagen mejora en
comparación a conectar un equipo de video regular
a la entrada de VIDEO.
Inserte una cinta de video en el equipo de video

Conecte las salidas del video DVD (componentes) A

Conectando a DTV (televisión
digital)
Este televisor puede recibir señales digitales de cable/
aéreas sin una caja de instalación digital externa. Sin
embargo, si usted requiere recibir señales digitales de un
decodicador u otro dispositivo digital externo, reérase
a la gura que se muestra a continuación. Este televisor
apoya el protocolo HDCP (Protección de contenidos
digitales de banda ancha) para contenidos digitales
(480p,720p,1080i).
Como conectarlo
Utilice los terminales COMPONENT, HDMI •
del televisor para las conexiones de video,
dependiendo de su decodicador. Luego realice las
correspondientes conexiones de audio.

Para obtener la mejor calidad de imagen, ajuste la A
carta de grácos de su PC a 1280x1024.
Utilice el puerto del televisor VGA o DVI (Interfaz B
Visual Digital) y AUDIO IN para las conexiones del
computador, dependiendo del conector de su
computador.
Si la tarjeta gráca en el computador no produce •
simultaneamente RGB analógico y digital, conecte
sólo una de las dos ya sea en PC IN o HDMI IN para

congure el televisor en VGA o HDMI.
Luego, realice la conexión de audio correspondiente.

Revise la imagen en su televisor. Puede haber cierta

distorsión asociada a la resolución, patrón vertical,

el menú hasta que la imagen sea clara. Si el rango
de Hz en la tarjeta gráca del PC no puede ser
cambiado, cambie la tarjeta gráca del PC o consulte

imagen, ajuste la resuloción de salida del dispositivo
fuente en 1280x720p.
Seleccione la fuente de entrada HDMI en la opción •
de fuente de entrada del menú de selección de
fuente principal.
Cuando el dispositivo fuente (reproductor de DVD o
decodicador) apoya DVI
Como conectar
Conecte el dispositivo fuente al puerto HDMI de este A
televisor con un cable DVI-a-HDMI (no suministrado
con este producto).
Se necesita una conexión de audio separada.

Si el dispositivo fuente tiene un conector de salida de C
audio analógico, conecte el dispositivo de fuente de
salida de audio a DVI AUDIO en el puerto ubicado al lado
del puerto de PC.
Como utilizarlo
Si el dispositivo fuente apoya la función Auto DVI, la •
resolución de salida del dipositivo de fuente se jará
automáticamente en 1280x720p.
Si el dispositivo fuente no apoya la función •
Auto DVI, necesita jar la resolución de salida
apropiadamente. Para obtener la mejor calidad de
imagen, ajuste la resuloción de salida del dispositivo
fuente en 1280x720p.
Presione el botón INPUT para seleccionar la fuente •
de entrada HDMI en la opción de fuente de entrada
del menú de selección principal de fuente.
Operación
En el manual, el OSD (On Screen Display = Despliegue
en pantalla) puede ser diferente de su televisor porque
es sólo un ejemplo para ayudarle con la operación del
televisor.
Hay varias opciones que usted podría necesitar
congurar para que su televisor funcione correctamente.

Encendiendo/Apagando el Televisor

Filtra automáticamente y reduce el ruido de la
imagen, mejorando la calidad de la imagen cuando
recibe señales de video débiles: encendido o
apagado.
Temperatura del Color ❖
Esta aumentará o se reducirá los colores Cálido y Frío
para adaptarse a sus preferencias.
Seleccione frío para darle a los colores blancos un
tinte azul, Estándar para darle a los colores blancos un
tinte neutral y Cálido para darle a los colores blancos
un tinte rojo.
Contraste dinámico ❖
Para ajustar el contraste dinámico: Apagado/ Bajo /
Medio / Alto.

profundidad y alcance para crear una calidad de sonido
excepcional de los parlantes del televisor

MTS/SAP:este televisor puede recibir programas
estéreo MTS y SAP (Secondary Audio Program, programa
de audio secundario) que acompaña al programa
estéreo si la estación transmite una señal de sonido
adicional además de la original
.
Cuando haya seleccionado el botón MTS/SAP en el
control remoto, este televisor sólo puede recibir la señal
cuando la estación de televisión transmite las señales
correctas.
Se recibe sonido Mono automáticamente si la
transmisión está hecha en Mono, aunque usted haya
seleccionado Stereo o SAP. Seleccione Mono cuando
desee escuchar sonido mono durante una trasnmisión
stereo/SAP. Stereo o SAP pueden ser recibidos en un
canal an{alogo.
Use
A MTS/SAP para seleccionar el modo MTS
deseado en una señal análoga.
Cada vez que presione el botón • MTS/SAP,
aparecerá Mono, Stereo o SAP. Si hay otros idiomas
disponibles en la señal digital, seleccionelos con el

en el modo PC.

Presione el boton Q.MENU para ingresar, esta función
incluye algunas de la operaciones mas usuales tales
como Modo de Imagen, Modo de Sonido, Temperatura
Color, Tiempo de Apagado, Modo de Pantalla y
Contraluz.

codicación no incluye los códigos nombrados.

Para lograr una buena reproducción, asegúrese de

la clasicación del código de archivo debe ser t
menor a 300KB/S;
debido a la limitación de la señal USB de t
transmisión distante se recomienda no usar el
cable de parche USB. En caso de usar el cable,
asegúrese de que su longitud no sea mayor de 1
metro;
utilice un dispositivo USB de alta velocidad en t
conformidad con la interfase estándar de USB 2.0
de velocidad completa. Si se usa el dispositivo
USB en conformidad con la interfase estándar de
USB 1.1 de velocidad completa, la reproducción
podría no ser tan buena.
Cuando conecte/remueva el
dispositivo USB
Presione A INPUT en el control remoto para
seleccionar la opción USB.
Inserte el dispositivo USB en el punto de contacto

correspondiente 2 segundos luego de iniciado el
sistema.
Luego de acceder al menú de sistema, presione

archivos USB requeridos, presione el botón OK para
conrmar la selección e ingrese a la lista de archivos

Nota
Mientras esté usando el USB, presione el botón

Mantención
Cualquier falla temprana puede prevenirse. Una
limpieza cuidadosa y regular puede extender el tiempo
que tendrá su nuevo televisor. Asegúrese de apagar
el televisor y desconectar el cable eléctrico antes de
comenzar cualquier tipo de limpieza.
Limpiando la pantalla
Este es un gran modo de mantener el polvo fuera de A
su pantalla por un tiempo. Moje un paño suave en
una mezcla de agua tibia y un poco de suavizante
de telas y detergente para loza. Estruje el paño
hasta que esté casi seco y luego úselo para limpiar la
pantalla.
Asegúrese de que no haya agua excesiva en

la pantalla y luego deje que se seque antes de
encender el televisor.
Limpiando el equipo
Para remover polvo y suciedad, limpie el equipo con un
paño suave, seco y libre de pelusas. Por favor asegúrese

Ausencia extensa
Si espera dejar su televisor sin atención por un período
de tiempo extenso (como vacaciones), es una buena
idea desconectar el cable eléctrico para proteger de
posibles daños como rayos o cortes eléctricos.

Televisión

Desconecte el televisor del
suministro eléctrico y luego de 10
segundos conéctelo nuevamente
al tomacorriente. Si el problema
persiste, contacte a un agente de
servicio post venta autorizado para
asistencia técnica.
Nota
No deje la televisión con estática en su imagen por ❏
un período extenso de tiempo ya que la imagen
podría quemarse permanentemente.
Nota
La producción de una pantalla LCD requiere de ❏
tecnologías altas y de precisión. Sin embargo,
pueden haber algunas manchas oscuras o brillantes
(rojo, azul, verde), o algunas manchas o franjas
anómalas. Esto no es un defecto. Si el televisor
se usa en un área sobre los 2.400 metros sobre el
nivel del mar donde la presión del aire es menor
a los 750hpa, la imagen en la pantalla LCD puede
verse afectada y producirse un sonido sordo. Este
fenómeno puede suceder en un área de 1.500
metros sobre el nivel del mar. Esto resulta de la
diferencia entre la presión del aire dentro y fuera de
la pantalla. Este no es un defecto que se cubra por la
garantía limitada.
