chaunel uumber on the screen. If you press

it again, the chaunel numbeEwill disappear.

13.SLEEP button- Press to display the sleep

timer and start the function. Tile shut otT

time can be determined by the number of

times you press tile button. (0, 10, 20, 30,

_90, 0 minutes)

14.GAME button- Press to set Game mode

and external input mode at the same time.

Press the INPUT SELECT button to exit.

15.AC cord- Connect to a standard AC outlet

(120V/60Hz).

Note: Unwrap the AC cord completely

from tbe backcover before plugging the

coLd into an AC outlet.

16.AUDIO OUTPUT L/R jacks- Connect to

the audio iuput of an external amplifieE or

decorder.

2) Insert 2 "AA" penlight batteries into bat-

tery compartment in tile direction as indi-

cated by the polarity (+ / -) markings.

Batteries installed with incoErect polarity

may damage the remote unit.

When you use the AUDIO/VIDEO input,jacks

or COMPONENT VIDEO INPUT ,jacks,

select "VIDEO 1" OE"VIDEO2" or "COMPO-

NENT" mode by pressing the INPUT

SELECT button ou the remote control.

• To use the VIDEO ,jack on the rear of tbe

TV, select "VIDEO 1".

• To use the jack on tile front ol tile TM select

"VIDEO2".

Notes:

• You may also set Game mode by pressing

!) Connect the power cord to a standard AC outlet.

Note: If some digits appear in the corner of the screen

press the POWER button without unplugging the power cord.

2) Press tile POWER button to turn on the TV.

3) Press tile MENU button so that the menu display appears

on the TV screen.

4) Press the CH(annel) • or • button to point to "[ENG]".

5) Select "ENG(lish)", "ESP(afiol)" or "FRA(nt;ais)" by using

the VOL(urne) • or • button.

6) Press tile MENU button to exit tile menu.

V-CHIP enables parents to prevent their children from watching inappropriate material on TV.

V-CHIP reads the ratings lot progranuniug (except for news and sports progralns, unedited movies

on premium cable channels and Emergency Broadcast System signals), then deuies access to pro-

gramnfing if the program's rating meets or exceeds the limitations you select. In this case, "PRO-

TECTED PROGRAM by ..." message appears on the TV screen.

To block certain ratings, follow the steps below.

• Programming may be rated by the Motion Picture Associatiou of America (MPAA) or accordiug

to the Television Pareutal Guidelines. In order to block any inappropriate programming, set

your limits in both places (MPAA RATING and TV RATING).

• You cannot access the menu when the "PROTECTED PROGRAM by ..." message appears.

canales de televisi6n por cable cuyo ndmero

sea igual o superior al 100.

9. Bot6n MUTE- Ptilselo para apagar el

sonido del pmgrama de TV. (La visuali-

zaci6n del nivel del volumen cambia del

color"AZUL CLARO a ROJO CLARO.

Pulse de nuevo este bot6n o los botones

VOL • o • para reponer el sonido.

10.Bot6n INPUT SELECT- Ptilselo para

seleccionar el modo de entrada del televisor

o de un equip externo (AUXI, AUX2 o

modo de juego y el modo de entrada

PREPARACION PARA LA UTILIZACION

Si desea cambiar el idioma del mend eu pantalla, siga el procedimieuto de abajo.

1) Conecte el cable de alimentaci6n a una toma de CA est;indar.

Nota: Si aparezcan algunos digitos en el rinc6n de la pantalla,

pulse el bot6n POWER sin desenchufar el cable de alimentaci6n.

2) Pulse el bot6n POWER para encender el televisor.

3) Pulse el botdn MENU para que aparezca la visualizaci6n del

mend en el televisor.

4) Pulse el bot6n CH(annel) • o • para indicar "[ENG]".

5) Seleccione "ENG(lish)", "ESP(afiol)" o "FRA(ngais)" utilizando

el bot6n VOL(ume) • o •.

6) Pulse el bot6n MENU para salir del mend.

V-CHIP pennite a los padres impedir que sus hijos vean en el televisor programas no apropiados

para ellos. V-CHIP lee la calificaci6n de la programacidn (excepto uoticias y programas de

deportes, pelfculas sin editar de los canales de televisi6n por cable de inter6s general, y sefiales de

sistemas de emisi6n de emergencia), y luego impide el acceso a la programaci6n si la calificaci6n

de los programas encuentra las limitaciones que usted seleccioua. Eu este caso, el mensztje

"PROGRAMA PROHIBIDO por ..." aparece eu la pantalla del televisor.

Para bloquear la programaci6n, siga los pasos de ab_jo.

• La programaci6u puede haber sido calificada por la Motiou Picture Association of America
