OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use.
Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This
unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature.
NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance on
hair extensions.
STYLING WITH THE NEW TOURMALINE
CERAMIC, EASY-GLIDE FLOATING PLATES
Both plates of your new flat iron are designed
with a little give to “float” in the iron. This
provides better contact with hair and eliminates
gaps to achieve straighter results faster. The
plates of your new flat iron have a tourmaline
ceramic, easy-glide surface, the newest
technology. This means it’s not only simpler to
clean off styling product residue, etc., after each
use, but you’ll find that hair glides easily over
the surface of the plates as you straighten. The
tourmaline ceramic surface also helps smooth
down flyaways and frizzies.
It evenly distributes heat so that the style you
create has a salon-perfect, silky smooth, shiny
finish. Hair also slips right off the plates after
it's straightened.
The new tourmaline ceramic technology is a
pleasure to work with and makes styling your
hair easier and the results more professional.
GETTING STARTED
SWITCH ACTIVATION CONTROL
IMPORTANT! This appliance features delayed
activation control. Immediately after turning the
appliance on, you are able to adjust the
temperature. After 5 seconds of the appliance
being turned on, the control buttons will
automatically lock. To adjust the controls, hold
down the heat control buttons "HIGH" or "LOW"
button for 1-2 seconds. This will deactivate the
lock mode and allow the settings to be changed.
To turn off the appliance while in lock mode,
hold down the ON/OFF button until the appliance
switches off.
Plug the iron cord into any household outlet
(120V). Press and hold the ON/OFF button for
approximately 1 second to turn the appliance
on. The unit will heat up very quickly. Press
HIGH or LOW button to select your desired
temperature. Once the temperature has stopped
blinking on the LED, the unit is ready to use.
To turn unit off, press and hold the power
ON/OFF button again until light goes off.
WARNING: The iron’s plates will get very hot
within a few seconds and should not be
placed in contact with the skin after the iron
has been turned on.
TO STRAIGHTEN HAIR
Hair should be clean and completely dry before
using the flat iron. For best results, use a light
styling product before blow-drying hair.
1. Start with a hair section that is 1½ inches
wide and no more than ½ inch thick.
2. Open the iron and place the hair section
between the two hot plates, close to the scalp.
Trap hair between the plates by firmly squeezing
the handles together.
3. While maintaining the tension, slowly pull the
unit down along the hair section toward the
ends. At the ends, release the pressure on the
handle and allow the hair to slide out.
4. Repeat the process on additional sections
of hair until you achieve the hairstyle you desire.
It may be necessary to repeat the process on
certain areas, depending on the texture of
your hair.
Some experience is necessary when learning to
use this flat iron. After using the iron several
times, you will learn the ideal way to straighten
and style your hair.
ADD VOLUME AND SHAPE
To add flips and waves, secure ends between
plates and wrap hair around the outer housing.
It’s an easy way to add shape to straight styles.
Turn your wrist up or under to create flips and
add curl or more body.
NOTE: Never leave your flat iron on and
unattended. However, should you fail to turn
the iron off, it will shut itself off automatically
within 60 minutes.

DE OPERACIÓN
Para uso doméstico solamente. Úselo solamente
con corriente alterna (60 Hz). Este aparato ha
sido diseñado para funcionar con corriente de
110–120 V AC.
El cable de este aparato cuenta con un enchufe
polarizado (una pata es más ancha que la otra).
Como medida de seguridad, se podrá enchufar
de una sola manera en la toma de corriente
polarizada. Si no entra en la toma de corriente,
inviértalo. Si aun así no entra completamente,
comuníquese con un electricista. No intente
modificar esta función de seguridad.
NOTA: No use este aparato en cabello
sintético/extensiones.
NUEVAS PLACAS FLOTANTES CON
REVESTIMIENTODE CERÁMICA/TURMALINA
DE FÁCIL DESLIZAMIENTO
Su nueva plancha alisadora cuenta con placas
“flotantes” diseñadas para proporcionar un
mejor contacto con el cabello y obtener
resultados más lisos, más rápidamente.
Las placas están cubiertas con una capa de
cerámica/turmalina de deslizamiento suave, lo
último en tecnología de peluquería. Notará que
el cabello se desliza fácilmente sobre el
revestimiento y que los residuos de productos
de peinado son muy fáciles de limpiar después
de cada uso. El revestimiento de cerámica/
turmalina también ayuda a controlar la estática
y el frizz.
Distribuye el calor uniformemente, para crear
peinados sedosos y brillantes, igual que en el
salón. Además, las placas no retienen el cabello
después de alisarlo.
Es un placer trabajar con esta nueva tecnología,

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
FUNCIÓN DE BLOQUEO DE LA TEMPERATURA
¡IMPORTANTE! Este aparato cuenta con una
función de bloqueo de la temperatura. Podrá
ajustar la temperatura solamente
inmediatamente después de encender el
aparato. Después de 5 segundos, los controles
se bloquearán automáticamente. Para ajustar la
temperatura después de este tiempo, mantenga
presionados los botones HIGH y LOW por 1 a 2
segundos; esto desactivará el modo de bloqueo
y permitirá ajustar la temperatura. Para apagar
el aparato mientras está en el modo de bloqueo,
mantenga presionado el botón ON/OFF por 1 a 2
segundos.
Enchufe el aparato en una toma de corriente de
120V. Mantenga presionado el botón ON/OFF
por aprox. 1 segundo para encender la unidad.
La unidad se calentará muy rápidamente. Elija la
temperatura deseada, presionando el botón
HIGH (alto) o LOW (bajo). Cuando el indicador
luminoso del botón de temperatura usado deje
de parpadear, la unidad está lista para su uso.
Para apagar el aparato, mantenga presionado el
botón ON/OFF hasta que el indicador luminoso
se apague.
ADVERTENCIA: Las placas se ponen muy
calientes en segundos; evite el contacto con
la piel después de encender el aparato.
TECNOLOGÍA IÓNICA
Este aparato cuenta con un potente generador
de iones de alto voltaje.
Este avanzado generador de iones emite hasta
un 50% más iones para:
• Reducir los pelos sueltos y el frizz
• Eliminar la estática
• Realzar el brillo
NOTA: Puede que el aparato produzca un
chasquido de vez en cuando; esto es normal y
es debido a la alta cantidad de iones generados
por el generador de iones.
Este aparato también cuenta con calentamiento
instantáneo y 5 ajustes de temperatura
ultra-alta únicas para proporcionar mayor
versatilidad, cualquiera que sea su tipo de
cabello. Si su cabello es fino/delgado, se
recomienda usar el ajuste de temperatura bajo
para conseguir mejores resultados. Si su cabello
es espeso, grueso, ondulado o resistente, se
recomienda usar un nivel de temperatura alto.

CÓMO ALISAR EL CABELLO
El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Para obtener
resultados óptimos, aplique una loción fijadora
ligera en el cabello antes de secarlo.
1. Divida el cabello en secciones de 1½ in.
(4cm) de ancho por un máximo de ½ in.
(1.5cm) de grueso.
2. Coloque el aparato cerca del cuero cabelludo.
Abra las placas y coloque una sección de
cabello entre ellas. Cierre las placas, apretando
firmemente el mango.
3. Manteniendo la tensión, baje lentamente la
plancha hacia las puntas. Suelte el cabello al
llegar a las puntas.
4. Repita el proceso en cada sección, hasta
conseguir el estilo deseado. Dependiendo de
la textura del cabello, puede que sea necesario
repetir el proceso varias veces en algunas
secciones.
Nota: Será necesario experimentar un poco al
principio. Con práctica, encontrará la manera
perfecta para alisar y peinar su cabello fácil
y rápidamente.
CÓMO DAR VOLUMEN
Para doblar las puntas o crear ondas, agarre las
puntas del cabello entre las extremidades de las
placas y enrolle el cabello alrededor de las
placas cerradas. Es una manera fácil de dar
volumen a cualquier peinado liso. Gire la
muñeca hacia arriba o abajo para doblar las
puntas hacia fuera/dentro, rizar o dar cuerpo.
NOTA: Nunca descuide/deje el aparato
sin vigilancia después de encenderlo.
Para su seguridad, el aparato se apagará
automáticamente después de 60 minutos.

USER MAINTENANCE
Your appliance is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from
the power source, allow to cool and wipe
exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition
occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and
return it for repair to an Authorized Service
Center only. No repairs should be attempted by
the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the appliance. Damage will occur
at the high flex point of entry into the appliance,
causing it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect
the cord frequently for damage. Stop use
immediately if damage is visible or if unit stops
or operates intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to store.
Allow appliance to cool, then simply store out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not
jerk or strain cord at plug connections. Do not
wrap the line cord around the appliance. Allow
the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the
point of entry into the appliance.

Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your
unit free of charge for 60 months from the date
of purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the
defective product to the service center listed on
back, together with your purchase receipt.
California residents need only provide proof of
purchase and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR for
shipping instructions. In the absence of a
purchase receipt, the warranty period shall be
60 months from the date of manufacture.
