OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
TO STRAIGHTEN HAIR
Hair should be clean and completely dry before
using the flat iron. Plug the iron into an electrical
outlet. A blue ON/OFF LCD will appear on the
bottom of the handle. Press down on it for a few
seconds until the control panel lights up. The
default temperature setting of 338°F will appear,
and you’ll see running bars until that tempera-
ture is reached. To select a different tempera-
ture, press (+) to increase or (–) to decrease the
temperature.
TO LOCK TEMPERATURE SETTING
Once you select your temperature setting, press
the little LOCK button located on the side of the
handle. The UNLOCK symbol on the control panel
will change to the LOCK symbol. This setting
prevents the temperature setting from acciden-
tally changing during use.
To change the locked temperature setting, sim-
ply press the switch to return to the UNLOCK
position. Select a new temperature, and press
once more to reset the LOCK position.
NOTE: The flat iron cannot be turned off in the
temperature LOCK position. Reset to UNLOCK,
then press ON/OFF for 3 to 4 seconds to turn the
iron off.
However, should you fail to turn the unit off, it
will shut itself off automatically within 60
minutes.
INSTANT HEAT TECHNOLOGY
The iron’s unique high temperature settings
and Instant Heat technology provide styling
versatility for all hair types. If you have thin/
fine hair, a low temperature will provide the
best results. If you have coarse or hard-to-
straighten hair, keep the heat setting on high.
You can vary the iron’s temperature according
to your particular need by selecting the desired
temperature setting.
For best results, use a light styling product
before blow-drying hair. Start with a hair
section that is 1 ½ inches wide and no
more than ½ inch thick. Open the iron and
place the hair section between the two hot
plates, close to the scalp. Trap hair between
the plates by firmly squeezing the handles
together. While maintaining the tension,
slowly pull the unit down along the hair
section toward the end. At the end, release
the pressure on the handle and allow the hair
to slide out. Repeat process on additional
sections of hair until you achieve the hair
style you desire. It may be necessary to
repeat process on certain areas, depending on
the texture of your hair.
Some experience is necessary when learning
to use this flat iron. After using the iron
several times, you will learn the ideal way to
straighten and style your hair.

WARNING: The flat iron’s tourmaline
ceramic-coated plates will get very hot
within a few seconds and should not come
into contact with the skin after the flat iron
has been turned on. The unit has a built-in
kickstand which allows it to be placed on a
countertop or other surface. The kickstand
should always be used for this purpose
once the unit has been turned on.
If you set the temperature to 266/285/301˚F,
“FINE” will be shown on the LCD display.
If you set the temperature to 320/338/356˚F,
“NORMAL” will be shown on the LCD display.
If you set the temperature to 375/391/410˚F,

DE OPERACIÓN
CÓMO ALISAR EL CABELLO
El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Conecte
el cable a una toma de corriente. El indicador
luminoso azul del botón de encendido/
apagado se encenderá. Presione el botón
durante unos segundos hasta que la pantalla
se ilumine. La temperatura por defecto (338
°F/170°C) aparecerá en la pantalla así como
un gráfico que indica cuando el aparato
alcanza la temperatura. Para elegir otra
temperatura, presione los botones táctiles
+/-.
CALENTAMIENTO INSTANTÁNEO
Este aparato con calentamiento instantáneo
cuenta con varias opciones de temperatura,
para proporcionar mayor versatilidad durante
el peinado, para todo tipo de cabello. Si su
cabello es fino, le recomendamos que utilice
un nivel de temperatura bajo. Si su cabello
es grueso o resistente, le recomendamos
que utilice un nivel de temperatura alto.
¡Personalice la temperatura, según su tipo
de cabello!
Para conseguir resultados óptimos, aplique
una loción fijadora ligera sobre el cabello
antes de peinarlo. Divida el cabello en
secciones de 1½ pulgada (4 cm) de ancho
por ½ pulgada (1.5 cm) o menos de espesor.
Coloque el aparato cerca del cuero cabelludo.
Abra las placas y coloque una sección de
cabello entre ellas. Cierre las placas. Baje
la plancha lentamente hasta las puntas,
manteniendo las placas bien cerradas. Suelte
el cabello tras llegar a las puntas. Repita
el proceso con cada sección de cabello.
Según la textura del cabello, puede que sea
necesario repetir el proceso varias veces en
cada sección.
Será necesario experimentar un poco al
principio. Con práctica, encontrará la manera
perfecta para peinar su cabello fácil y
rápidamente.

PARA ASEGURAR LA TEMPERATURA
Después de elegir la temperatura, presione el
botón LOCK ubicado en el costado del mango
(un candado cerrado aparecerá en la
pantalla). Esta función evita cambiar la
temperatura sin querer durante el uso.
Si desea cambiar después de haberla
asegurado, simplemente presione el botón
LOCK otra vez (un candado abierto aparecerá
en la pantalla). Elija la temperatura deseada,
y luego presione el botón LOCK otra vez para
asegurarla si desea.
NOTA: no podrá apagar el aparato mientras
la temperatura está asegurada. Para apagar
el aparato, presione LOCK hasta que el
candado abierto aparezca en la pantalla,
y luego presione el botón ON/OFF durante
3–4 segundos.
Para su seguridad, el aparato se apagará
automáticamente después de 60 minutos.

STORAGE
When not in use, your iron is easy to store.
Allow appliance to cool, then simply store out
of reach of children in a safe, dry location.
Do not jerk or strain cord at plug
