Before calling for service, please make sure unit is installed and being used correctly.

2. This appliance is for household use only. It is not intended for commercial applications.

3. The appliance is intended for indoor use only. DO NOT use outdoors.

4. DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

5. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).

If the plug does not fit properly into the outlet, reverse it. If it still does not fit, try a different outlet or

contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to modify the plug in any way.

6. The appliance must be plugged into a properly installed and grounded outlet that meets the voltage

requirements listed on the ratings label.

7. DO NOT immerse the Kettle, Base, or power cord into water or any other liquids.

8. DO NOT operate the kettle with damaged cord or plug, or if the unit is damaged or malfunctions in any

way. Contact customer service or a service technician.

9. ALWAYS turn off and unplug from outlet before servicing, changing accessories, cleaning the unit, or when

not in use. Allow unit to cool down completely before cleaning, moving or servicing.

10. DO NOT unplug your appliance by pulling on the power cord. ALWAYS grasp the plug firmly and pull it

straight out from the outlet.

11. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

12. DO NOT allow children to operate or play with the appliance.

13. This appliance should not be operated by anyone with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or

does not have experience with this type of equipment, unless under supervision.

14. DO NOT attempt to remove any parts of the housing or insert any metal objects into the interior of the

appliance.

15. DO NOT let the cord hang over edge of table or counter. ALWAYS keep cord away from hot or sharp

surfaces or items.

16. DO NOT operate the unit or handle the plug with wet hands.

17. Use only clean water in the kettle.

18. Some parts of the appliance get very hot when in operation. DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use caution when

unit is in use, and ALWAYS grasp by the handle.

19. CAUTION: There is the risk of being scalded by hot water or escaping steam.

20. This appliance is designed for heating water only. DO NOT put any other liquid into the kettle.

21. The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is accessible.

22. CAUTION: If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may spray out.

23. WARNING: DO NOT open the lid while the water is boiling.

24. The kettle should only to be used with the stand provided.

25. Avoid spilling water on the base or connection point on the bottom of the Kettle.

26. CAUTION: Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its stand.

27. The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injuries.

28. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should be used to reduce the risks resulting

from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised

in their use and:

a. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating

of the appliance.

b. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or table top where it

can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE USE

Prior to initial use, clean the unit by going through several boiling cycles, using clean water with each cycle and

filling the kettle to its MAX marking. The water will begin boiling after approximately 5 minutes, and the unit will

turn off automatically.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Place the kettle on a stable and level surface.

2. Pour the desired amount of clean water into the kettle. The amount of water can be measured by the

markings on the kettle. ALWAYS pay attention to the minimum and maximum levels and ensure that the lid

is properly and firmly closed.

3. Place the kettle on the base so that the bottom of the kettle fits into the contacts on the base.

4. Insert the plug into the outlet.

5. Put the On/Off switch to the “On” position by pushing it down to start the heating process. The indicator

lamp will light up.

6. When the water reaches the boiling point, the On/Off switch will automatically go to the “Off” position

and the indicator light will turn off. The kettle can also be switched off manually by pushing the On/Off

switch up into the “Off “position.

7. The hot water may now be poured into another container.

CAUTION: DO NOT touch any part of the kettle except the handle when the appliance is in use, and ensure

that the lid is properly closed.

NOTE: This kettle is equipped with a safety cut–out to protect the appliance from damage. In the event

the appliance is accidentally operated without water, or if all the water has evaporated, the safety cut-out will

automatically turn off the heating element. If this occurs, remove the plug from the outlet, and refill the kettle

only after it has cooled down for at least 15-20 minutes.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

CLEANING THE KETTLE

• ALWAYS turn the kettle off, unplug it, and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.

• DO NOT immerse the base or the kettle in any liquid. To clean the exterior, wipe the unit off with a soft

damp, lint free cloth if needed. DO NOT use abrasive or harsh cleaning solutions.

• It is advisable to remove lime deposits from the kettle at regular intervals or as needed.

• The filter can be removed if necessary for cleaning by carefully pulling back on the small plastic tab at the

bottom of it while lifting upwards.

DECALCIFYING

If the kettle turns off before the water starts boiling, it is likely that it needs to be decalcified.

You can use a decalcifying solution, ensuring that all directions are followed, or a mix of water and white vinegar.

Fill the kettle to about ½ full with equal parts white vinegar and water. Bring to boil, then turn off and allow the

mixture to sit for about 15-20 minutes. Pour out the water, and fill to the MAX fill line with clean water. Bring that

to a boil, let sit until cool, then pour out, repeating 2 or 3 times until there is no smell of vinegar. Finish by rinsing

with clean water.

DO NOT fill the kettle to the MAX fill mark to avoid overflow if the descaling agent causes the water to boil up.

LIMITED WARRANTY

MC Appliance Corporation warrants each new Electric Kettle to be free from defects in material and workmanship, and agrees

to remedy any such defect or to furnish a new part(s), at the company’s option, for any part(s) of the unit that has failed during

the warranty period. Parts and labor expenses are covered on this unit for a period of one year from the date of purchase. A

copy of the dated sales receipt/invoice is required to receive warranty service, replacement or refund.

This warranty covers appliances in use within the contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. This warranty does not

cover the following:

• Damages due to shipping damage or improper installation.

• Damages due to misuse or abuse.

• Content losses due to failure of the unit.

• Repairs performed by unauthorized service agents.

• Service calls that do not involve defects in material and workmanship such as instructions on proper use of the

product or improper installation.

• Replacement or resetting of house fuses or circuit breakers.

• Failure of this product if used for other purposes than its intended purpose.

• Disposal costs for any failed unit not returned to our factory.

• Any delivery/installation costs incurred as the result of a unit that fails to perform as specified.

• Expenses for travel and transportation for product service if your appliance is located in a remote area where

service by an authorized service technician is not available.

• The removal and reinstallation of your appliance if it is installed in an inaccessible location or is not installed in

accordance with published installation instructions.

• Refunds for non repairable products are limited to the price paid for the unit per the sales receipt.

• This warranty is non transferable. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and does not extend to any

subsequent owner(s).

Limitations of Remedies and Exclusions:

Product repair in accordance with the terms herein, is your sole and exclusive remedy under this limited warranty. Any and all

implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are hereby limited to one year or the shortest

period allowed by law. MC Appliance Corporation is not liable for incidental or consequential damages and no representative or

person is authorized to assume for us any other liability in connection with the sale of this product. Under no circumstances is

the consumer permitted to return this unit to the factory without the prior written consent of MC Appliance Corporation.

Some states prohibit the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on implied warranties.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Guarde este manual. Al transferir/vender el dispositivo a un tercero, el manual debe entregarse junto con el

dispositivo.

Antes de contactar al servicio técnico, por favor, cerciórese de que la unidad esté instalada y se esté usando de

la unidad o cuando no esté en uso. Permita que la unidad se enfríe antes de limpiarla, moverla o repararla.

10. NO desenchufe su aparato halando el cable de alimentación. SIEMPRE sujete la clavija firmemente y sáquela

derecha desde el tomacorriente.

11. Se requiere supervisión de cerca cuando niños utilicen cualquier aparato o cuando se use cerca de ellos.

12. NO permita que los niños usen ni jueguen con el aparato.

13. Las personas con facultades físicas, sensoriales o mentales reducidas o que no tengan experiencia con este

20. Este aparato está diseñado solo para calentar agua. NO ponga ningún otro líquido en el hervidor.

21. El equipo debe posicionarse de modo tal que el enchufe quede accesible.

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO

ANTES DE SU USO

Antes de su uso inicial, limpie la unidad pasando por varios ciclos de hervido, utilizando agua limpia con

cada ciclo y llenando el hervidor hasta la marca de máxima capacidad. El agua empezará a hervir después de

aproximadamente 5 minutos y luego la unidad se apagará automáticamente.

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO

1. Coloque el hervidor sobre una superficie estable y seca.

2. Vierta la cantidad deseada de agua limpia en el hervidor. La cantidad de agua se puede medir por las marcas

en el hervidor. SIEMPRE preste atención a los niveles mínimo y máximo y asegúrese de que la tapa esté

cerrada firme y adecuadamente.

3. Coloque el hervidor en la base, de forma que la parte inferior del mismo se ajuste en los contactos de la base.

4. Inserte la clavija en el enchufe.

5. Oprima el interruptor On/Off hasta colocarlo en la posición de encendido para empezar el proceso de

calentamiento. La luz indicadora se encenderá.

6. Cuando el agua alcance el punto de ebullición, el interruptor On/Off automáticamente se colocará en la

posición de apagado y la luz indicadora se apagará. El hervidor también se puede apagar de forma manual

oprimiendo el interruptor On/Off para colocarlo en la posición de apagado.

7. El agua caliente puede verterse entonces en otro contenedor.

PRECAUCIÓN: NO toque otra parte del hervidor que no sea la manija cuando el aparato esté en uso y

asegúrese de que la tapa esté bien cerrada.

NOTA: Este hervidor está equipado con un cortacircuitos automático de seguridad para proteger el aparato de

daños. En caso de que el aparato se use accidentalmente sin agua, o si el agua se ha evaporado, el cortacircuitos

automático de seguridad apagará automáticamente el componente de calentamiento. Si esto ocurre, remueva la

clavija del enchufe y vuelva a llenar el hervidor solo después de que se haya enfriado durante por lo menos 15-20

minutos.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO

LIMPIEZA DEL HERVIDOR

• Apague SIEMPRE el hervidor, desenchúfelo y deje que se enfríe completamente antes de limpiar.

• NO sumerja la base ni el hervidor en ningún líquido. Para limpiar el exterior, limpie la unidad con un paño

ligeramente húmedo, sin pelusas, si es necesario. No utilice limpiadores abrasivos ni agresivos.

• Se recomienda que remueva los depósitos de cal del hervidor a intervalos regulares o cuando sea necesario.

• Se puede remover el filtro, si es necesario limpiarlo, retirando cuidadosamente la pequeña lengüeta plástica

en la parte de abajo del mismo mientras la levanta.

DESCALCIFICACIÓN

Si el hervidor se apaga antes de que el agua haya hervido, es posible que necesite descalcificarse.

Puede utilizar una solución descalcificadora, asegurándose de seguir todas las instrucciones, o una mezcla de

agua y vinagre blanco. Llene el hervidor aproximadamente por la mitad con partes iguales de vinagre blanco y

agua. Ponga a hervir la mezcla, luego apáguela y deje que esta repose por aproximadamente 15-20 minutos. Saque

el agua y vuelva a llenar el hervidor hasta su capacidad máxima con agua limpia. Espere a que hierva y luego

déjela reposar hasta que esté fría. Saque el agua y repita 2 o 3 veces hasta que ya no haya olor a vinagre. Finalice

enjuagando con agua limpia.

NO llene el hervidor hasta la marca de máxima capacidad para evitar que se derrame si el agente descalcificador

hace que el agua hierva.

GARANTÍA LIMITADA

MC Appliance Corporation garantiza que cada Hervidor eléctrico nueva carece de defectos en los materiales y en la mano de

obra, y conviene en remediar cualquier defecto o proporcionar la(s) pieza(s) nueva(s), por cualquier/cualesquiera pieza(s) de la

unidad que haya(n) fallado durante el período de garantía, a discreción de la compañía. Las piezas y los gastos de mano de obra

de esta unidad están cubiertos por un período de un año a partir de la fecha de compra. Es necesario presentar una copia del

recibo o de la factura de venta fechado, para recibir el servicio de garantía, reemplazo o reembolso.

Esta garantía cubre los aparatos en uso dentro de los Estados Unidos contiguos, Alaska, Hawái y Puerto Rico. Esta garantía no

cubre lo siguiente:

• Los daños causados durante el envío o por instalación incorrecta.

• Los daños causados por uso incorrecto o abuso.

• La pérdida de contenido a causa de fallas de la unidad.

• Las reparaciones llevadas a cabo por agentes de servicio no autorizados.

• Las llamadas al servicio técnico que no impliquen defectos en el material y mano de obra, tales como instrucciones

sobre el uso correcto del producto o la instalación incorrecta.

• El reemplazo o reajuste de los fusibles de la casa o los interruptores de circuito.

• La falla de este producto si se usa para fines distintos de aquellos para los que fue diseñado.

• Los costos de desecho de cualquier unidad defectuosa no devuelta a nuestra fábrica.

• Cualquiera de los costos de entrega/instalación incurridos como resultado de una unidad que no funcione según las

especificaciones.

• Los gastos de viaje y transporte para obtener servicio para el producto si su aparato está ubicado en una zona

remota donde el servicio por parte de un técnico de servicio autorizado no está disponible.

• El retiro y la nueva instalación de su aparato si está instalado en una ubicación inaccesible o no fue instalado

conforme a las instrucciones de instalación publicadas.
