SURFACE PREPARATION
For best results the project surface should be sound, clean and dry prior to priming. Remove all
loose, peeling paint. Scuff sand glossy surfaces.
PRIMING
Metal Effects Primer can be applied to clean metal, wood, masonry, plaster and previously painted
surfaces.
Stir well before use with the stir stick provided. Apply 2 coats (wait approx. ½ hour between coats)
of Metal Effects Primer with the chip brush supplied. DO NOT THIN! Allow primer to dry (approx.
12 hours).
APPLICATION
Stir Oxidizing Copper Paint well before use with the stir stick provided. Apply first coat with the chip
brush supplied and let dry (approx. 1/2 hour). Apply second coat and while paint is still wet, spray
on a light coat of Green Patina Aging Solution over the entire surface. Do not saturate the surface
as it will create pooling and over activate the finish. As the activated surface dries (approx. 30-40
min.) a green patina finish will appear. Cold temperature and/or humid conditions will prolong the
oxidation process and dry time.
COVERAGE
Metal Effects Green Patina Finish kit will cover approx. 28 - 30 sq./ft depending upon project type
and application thickness.
CLEAN UP
Clean brush with warm soapy water immediately after use. Promptly wipe up spills and splatters
with a damp cloth.

from freezing. If contents freeze, allow to thaw at room temperature before use. Stir thoroughly
before use. Do not apply at temperatures below 55˚F/13˚C. Dispose of unused or unwanted
product in accordance with local laws regulating water base coatings.
