User’s Guide Model DV30 AC VOLTAGE DETECTOR Safety Precautions 1. Improper use of this meter can cause damage, shock, injury or death. Read this guide before use. 2. Secure any covers or battery doors before use. 3. Inspect the condition of the meter for any damage before use. 4. Set the Sensitivity adjustment (2) to the high (counterclockwise) position If the detector begins to beep/flash (1), slowly reduce the sensitivity (clockwise) until the beep stops. Move the detector voltage sensor (1) near the conductor until the tip flashes and beeper sounds. Slowly adjust the sensitivity (2) and reduce the distance between the sensor and conductor to pinpoint and identify the conductor. Turn power OFF and release the end cap latch from the pocket clip and slide out the battery compartment (3). Replace the four LR44 batteries and replace the battery compartment.
