1. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical

Code ANSI/NFPA 70 and local electrical codes. Electrical

installation should be performed by a qualied licensed

electrician.

2. The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted

and capable of reliably supporting 35 lbs. (15.9 kg). Use only

UL Listed outlet boxes marked “Acceptable for Fan Support of

35 lbs. (15.9 kg) or less.”

3. The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7.55 ft (2.3m)

clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the oor.

4. Do not operate the reversing switch while the fan blades are in

motion. You must turn the fan off and stop the blades before

you reverse the blade direction.

5. Do not place objects in the path of the blades.

6. Electrical diagrams are for reference only. Light kits that are not

packed with the fan must be UL listed and marked suitable for

use with the model fan you are installing. Switches must be UL

General Use Switches. Refer to the instructions packaged with

the light kits and switches for proper assembly. Use 9W LED

bulbs max (included).

7. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors should

be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the outlet box.

The wires should be spread apart with the grounded conductor

and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the

outlet box.

8. All setscrews must be checked and retightened where

necessary before installation.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury,

do not bend the blade brackets (also referred to as

anges) during assembly or after installation. Do not

insert objects in the path of the blades.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of re or electric

shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed

control device.

WARNING: Remove the rubber motor stops on

the bottom of the fan before installing the blades or

testing the motor.

WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock,

turn the electricity off at the main fuse box before

wiring. If you feel you do not have enough electrical

wiring knowledge or experience, contact a licensed

electrician.

Warranty

The supplier warrants the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a

period of 25 years after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The supplier also warrants that all other fan parts, excluding any glass or

acrylic blades, to be free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of one year after the date

of purchase by the original purchaser. We agree to correct such defects without charge or at our option replace with a comparable or superior

model if the product is returned. To obtain warranty service, you must present a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase. All costs of removing

and reinstalling the product are your responsibility. Damage to any part such as by accident or misuse or improper installation or by afxing any

accessories, is not covered by this warranty. Because of varying climatic conditions this warranty does not cover any changes in brass nish,

including rusting, pitting, corroding, tarnishing, or peeling. Brass nishes of this type give their longest useful life when protected from varying

weather conditions. A certain amount of “wobble” is normal and should not be considered a defect. Servicing performed by unauthorized persons

shall render the warranty invalid. There is no other express warranty. Hampton Bay hereby disclaims any and all warranties, including but not limited

to those of merchantability and tness for a particular purpose to the extent permitted by law. The duration of any implied warranty which cannot be

disclaimed is limited to the time period as specied in the express warranty. Some states do not allow a limitation on how long an implied warranty

Installation

MOUNTING OPTIONS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock

or personal injury, mount to outlet box marked

“Acceptable for fan support of 35 lbs. (15.9 Kg) or

less”, and use screws provided with the outlet box. An

outlet box commonly used for the support of lighting

xtures may not be acceptable for fan support and may

need to be replaced. If in doubt, consult a qualied

electrician.

If your ceiling fan does not have an existing UL-listed mounting

box, then install one using the following instructions:

□ Disconnect the power by removing the fuses or turning off

the circuit breakers.

□ Secure the outlet box directly to the building structure. Use

the appropriate fasteners and materials. The outlet box and

its bracing must be able to fully support the weight of the

moving fan (at least 35 lbs.). Do not use a plastic outlet box.

The illustrations below show three different ways to mount the

outlet box.

If the canopy touches the downrod, then remove the canopy bottom

cover, and turn the canopy 180° before attaching the canopy to the

mounting plate.

To hang your fan where there is an existing xture but no ceiling joist,

you may need an installation hanger bar as shown above

(available at any Home Depot store).

NOTE: You may need a longer downrod to maintain

proper blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped

ceiling. The maximum angle allowable is 30° away from

horizontal.

Preparing for mounting

□ Loosen, but do not remove, the two setscrews (RR) on the

collar (TT) on top of the motor housing.

□ Align the holes at the bottom of the downrod (B) with the

holes in the collar (TT) on top of the motor housing.

□ Carefully insert the hanger pin (DD) through the holes in

the collar (TT) and downrod (B). Be careful not to jam the

hanger pin (DD) against the wiring inside the downrod (B).

□ Insert the locking pin (EE) through the hole near the end of

the hanger pin (DD) until it snaps into its locked position.

□ Re-tighten the two setscrews (RR) on the collar (TT) on top

of the motor housing.

□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C) by

loosening the two canopy screws (HH) located in the “L

shaped” slots.

□ Remove and save the two canopy screws (HH) and

lockwashers (GG) in the round holes. This will enable you

to remove the mounting bracket (A).

□ Route the wires exiting the top of the fan motor (E) and

through the coupler cover (D).

□ Make sure the slot openings are on top and route the

wires through the canopy (C) and then through the

ball/downrod assembly (B).

WARNING: Failure to properly install the locking pin could

result in the fan becoming loose and possibly falling.

□ Pass the 120-Volt supply wires through the center hole in the

mounting bracket (A).

□ Install the ceiling mounting bracket on the outlet box by sliding

the mounting bracket (A) over the two screws (LL) provided with

the outlet box. If necessary, use leveling washers (not included)

between the mounting bracket (A) and the outlet box. Note that

the at side of the mounting bracket (A) is toward the outlet box.

When using close-to-ceiling mounting, it is important that the

mounting bracket be level.

□ Securely tighten the two mounting screws (LL).

WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or personal

injury, mount to outlet box marked “Acceptable for fan support

of 35 lbs. (15.9 Kg) or less”, and use screws provided with the

outlet box.

□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C) by

loosening the two canopy screws (HH) located in the “L

shaped” slots.

□ Remove and save the two canopy screws (HH) in the round

holes. This will enable you to remove the mounting bracket

(A).

□ Remove the canopy bottom cover (M) from the canopy (C) by

pressing the three studs.

□ Remove three of the six screws (JJ) and lock washers (KK)

(every other one) securing the motor collar to the top of the

fan motor housing (E).

□ Place the rubber gasket (AA) over the remaining three screws.

Make sure the slot opening is on top, then proceed to place

the ceiling canopy (C) over the collar at the top of the motor

(E).

□ Align the mounting holes with the holes in the motor (E) and

fasten, using the three screws (JJ) and lock-washers (KK)

removed previously.

□ Tighten the mounting screws securely.

Making the electrical connection

IMPORTANT: Use the plastic wire connectors (CC) supplied with

your fan. Secure the connectors with electrical tape and ensure

there are no loose strands or connections.

WARNING: Each wire not supplied with this fan is designed to

accept up to one 12-gauge house wire and two wires from the

fan. If you have larger than 12-gauge house wiring or more

than one house wire to connect to the fan wiring, consult an

electrician for the proper size wire nuts to use.

□ Carefully lift the fan-motor assembly (E) up to the slide-on

mounting bracket (A).

□ Insert the ball portion of the ball/downrod assembly into the

socket of the slide-on mounting bracket.

□ Turn the ball/downrod assembly clockwise until it is seated

with the tab of the slide-on mounting bracket aligned with the

slot in the ball.

□ If using close-to-ceiling mounting, hang the fan on the hook

provided by utilizing one of the round holes at the outer rim of

the ceiling canopy (C).

WARNING: The hook (OO) is only to balance the fan while

making the electrical connections. Failure to hang as shown

may result in the hook (OO) breaking, causing the fan to fall.

The hook must pass from the inside to the outside of the

canopy.

WARNING: When hanging the fan on the hook (OO) it is

critical that you use one of the non-slotted (round) holes in

the canopy (C).

□ The fan comes with 30 in. lead wires for use with an extended

ball/downrod assembly. If using the 4.5 in. ball/downrod

assembly (B) provided, you can cut the lead wires to your

desired length (no shorter than 12 in.) This will make extra

room in the canopy (C). If you do not wish to cut the wires,

you will need to neatly wrap them.

□ Connect the fan motor green wires to the household green or

bare wire using a wire connecting nut (CC).

□ Connect the fan motor white wire to the household white wire

using a wire connecting nut (CC).

□ Connect the fan motor black and blue wires to the household

black wire using a wire connecting nut (CC).

□ Secure each wire connecting nut using electrical tape.

□ Turn the wire connecting nut (CC) upward and push the wiring

into the outlet box (MM).

NOTE: The fan comes with 30 in. lead wires for use with an

extended ball/downrod assembly. If using the 4.5 in. ball/downrod

assembly (B) provided, you can cut the lead wires to your desired

length (no shorter than 12 in.).

WARNING: Remove the rubber motor stops on the bottom of the

fan before installing the blades or testing the motor.

Standard mount.

□ Align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy (C) with the two

screws in the mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage the

slots and turn clockwise to lock in place.

□ Firmly tighten the two mounting screws.

□ Install the two mounting screws (HH) and lock washers (GG)

(saved from Assembly Step 1 “Prepairing for mounting”)

into the holes in the canopy (C) and tighten rmly.

WARNING: When using the standard ball/downrod mounting, the

tab in the ring at the bottom of the mounting bracket must rest in

the groove of the hanger ball. Failure to properly seat the tab in

the groove could cause damage to the wiring.

Wrapping the extra wire

□ Gently wrap the excess wire around the mounting bracket.

□ Secure with electrical tape.

NOTE: Follow this step ONLY if you did not cut the extra length off

from the wires coming from the ceiling fan.

WARNING: The locking slots of the ceiling canopy are provided only

as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly unattended

until all four canopy screws are engaged and rmly tightened.

(close-to-ceiling mount)

□ Carefully unhook the fan from the mounting bracket (A) and

align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy (C) with the two

screws in the mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage the

slots and turn clockwise to lock in place. Immediately tighten

the two mounting screws rmly.

□ Install the two mounting screws (HH) and lock washers (GG)

(saved from Assembly Step 1 “Prepairing for mounting” into

the holes in the canopy (C) and tighten rmly.

□ You may now proceed to attaching the fan blades.

WARNING: The locking slots of ceiling canopy are provided only

as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly unattended

until all four canopy screws are engaged and rmly tightened.

□ Mount the fan blades (H) to the blade bracket (I) by aligning

the three key-slot holes in the blade (H).

□ Insert and tighten the three blade screws (FF) in the blade

bracket holes.

□ Repeat for the remaining blades (H).

NOTE: Your fan blades are reversible. Select the blade

side nish which best accentuates you decor.

Attaching the blade brackets

□ Fasten the blade bracket (I) to the motor (E) by

inserting the alignment post into the slot on the

bottom of the fan-motor assembly (E) and tightening

the motor screws.

□ Repeat for the remaining four blade brackets (I).

NOTE: Your fan blades are reversible. Select the blade

side nish which best accentuates you decor.

Assembly - Attaching the Light Kit

□ Remove the three screws (QQ) from the light kit tter

assembly (F).

□ Connect the wires exiting the bottom of the motor assembly

(E) by connecting the molded adaptor plugs together (blue to

blue, and white to white).

□ Slide the light kit (F) and secure it to the switch housing

using the three screws (QQ) that were removed in the rst

step.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect

the electrical supply circuit to the fan before installing the

light kit.

Installing the bulbs and attaching

the lamp shade

□ Gently slide the lamp shade (G) over the lamp holder. Make

sure the lamp shade (G) is fully inserted into the socket for

a secure t. Repeat for the remaining lamp shades (G).

□ With the power off, insert and tighten the light bulbs (K)

(included) into light kit sockets. Use 9W LED bulbs.

□ Attach the pull chain extensions (BB).

CAUTION: Over lamping the fan will result in the fan lights

shutting down until the proper wattage bulbs are installed.

Reset the lights by turning off the power, replacing the bulbs

with the correct wattage bulbs, and turn the power on.

CAUTION: Make sure the power is off before attaching or

removing the

lamp shade (G).

WARNING: Allow the lamp shade (G) to cool completely

before removing.

Assembly - Attaching without the Light Kit

Operation

Turn on the power and check the operation of the fan. The pull

chain controls the fan speeds as follows:

1 pull - High, 2 pulls - Medium, 3 pulls - Low, 4 pulls - off

The appropriate speed settings for warm or cool weather depends

on factors such as the room size, ceiling height, and number of

fans.

The slide switch controls (XX) the direction of the blades:

Forward (switch down) or Reverse (switch up).

A. Warm weather - (Forward) A downward airow creates a cooling

effect. This allows you to set your air conditioner on a warmer setting

without affecting your comfort.

B. Cool weather - (Reverse) An upward airow moves warm air off

of the ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit on a cooler

setting without affecting your comfort.

NOTE: Wait for the fan to stop before reversing the direction of

blade rotation.

Assembling the fan without light kit

□ Remove the three light kit mounting screws (QQ) from the

switch cup cover (J).

□ In order to use the fan without the light kit, remove the

switch cup cover (J) from the top of the light kit tter

assembly (F) by removing the center hex nut inside the

switch cup cover (J ), and then thread the switch cup cover

off of the threaded nipple on the top of the light kit tter

assembly (F).

□ Position the switch cup cover (J) onto the bracket and

reinstall the light kit mounting screws (QQ).

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution

The fan will not start. □ Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.

□ Check the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing.

The fan is noisy. □ Ensure all motor housing screws are snug.

□ Ensure the screws that attach the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are tight.

□ Ensure the wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch housing.

□ Allow a 24-hour “breaking in” period. Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this time.

□ If you are using the Ceiling Fan light kit, ensure the screws securing the glassware are tight. Check that the light

bulbs are also secure.

□ Ensure the canopy is a short distance from the ceiling. It should not touch the ceiling.

□ Ensure your outlet box is secure and rubber isolator pads were used between the mounting plate and outlet box.

The fan wobbles. □ Check that all blade and blade arm screws are secure.

□ Most fan wobble problems are caused when blade levels are unequal. Check this level by selecting a point on the

ceiling above the tip of one of the blades. Measure from a point on the center of each blade to the point on the

ceiling. Measure this distance. Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement. Repeat for each

blade. Any measurement deviation should be within 1/8 in. Run the fan for ten minutes.

□ Use the enclosed blade balancing kit if the blade wobble is still noticeable.

□ Because of the fan’s natural movement, some connections may become loose. Check the support connections, brackets, and blade

attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.

□ Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years. Do not use water when cleaning, as this could damage

the motor, or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock. Use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the nish. The

plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or tarnishing.

□ You can apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood for additional protection and enhanced beauty. Cover small scratches with a

light application of shoe polish.

□ You do not need to oil your fan. The motor has permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings.

WARNING: Make sure the power is off before cleaning

your fan.

1. Todo el cableado tiene que cumplir con el Código Nacional

El proveedor garantiza por 25 años, a partir de la fecha de adquisición por el comprador original, que el motor del ventilador no presenta defectos de

fabricación ni de material al momento del envío desde la fábrica. El proveedor también garantiza que todas las demás partes del ventilador, excepto

OPCIONES DE MONTAJE

ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de incendio,

descarga eléctrica o lesiones personales, instala sólo

en caja eléctrica marcada como “para soporte de

ventilador de 35 lb (15.9kg) o menos” y usa los tornillos

que vienen con ella. Unas caja eléctrica normalmente

usada como soporte de equipos de iluminación pudiera

no ser aceptable para soportar ventiladores y sería

preciso reemplazarla. En caso de duda, consulta a un

electricista calicado.

Si tu ventilador de techo no tiene una caja de montaje aprobada

por UL, instala una conforme a las instrucciones siguientes:

□ Desconecta la energía retirando los fusibles o apagando los

cortacircuitos.

□ Fija con seguridad la caja eléctrica directamente a

la estructura de la edicación. Usa los sujetadores y

materiales apropiados. La caja eléctrica y su soporte tienen

que sostener el peso completo del ventilador en movimiento

(al menos 15.9 kg). No uses una caja eléctrica de plástico.

Las ilustraciones más abajo muestran tres formas distintas de

montar la caja eléctrica.

Si la cubierta toca el tubo bajante, retira la tapa inferior de aquella

y gira la cubierta 180º antes de jarla a la placa de montaje.

Para colgar tu ventilador donde ya hay una lámpara, pero ninguna viga

de techo, tal vez necesites una barra colgante como se mostró más

arriba (disponible en cualquier tienda de The Home Depot).

NOTA: Tal vez necesites un tubo bajante más largo para

mantener la altura mínima adecuada de las aspas al

instalar el ventilador en un cielo raso inclinado. El ángulo

máximo permitido es 30° con respecto a la horizontal.

Preparación para el montaje

□ Aoja, sin quitarlos, los dos tornillos de jación (RR) del

collarín (TT) ubicados en la parte superior de la carcasa

del motor.

□ Alinea los oricios en la parte inferior del tubo bajante (B)

con los oricios en el collarín (TT) de la parte superior de la

carcasa de motor.

□ Inserta con cuidado el pasador de soporte (DD) a través

de los oricios del collarín (TT) y del tubo bajante (B). Ten

cuidado de no forzar el pasador de soporte (DD) contra el

cableado dentro del tubo bajante (B).

□ Inserta el pasador de cierre (EE) en el oricio cercano al

extremo del pasador de soporte (DD) hasta que quede

encajado en su posición.

□ Vuelve a ajustar los dos tornillos de jación (RR) del collarín

(TT) ubicados en la parte superior de la carcasa del motor.

□ Retira el soporte de montaje (A) de la cubierta (C)

aojando los dos tornillos de esta (HH) ubicados en las

ranuras en forma de L.

□ Quita y guarda los dos tornillos de la cubierta (HH) y las

arandelas de seguridad (GG) en los oricios redondos.

Esto permitirá retirar el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Inserta los cables que salen por la parte superior

del motor del ventilador (E) a través de la cubierta

del acoplador (D).

□ Asegúrate de que las ranuras estén en la parte

superior, pasa los cables a través de la cubierta (C) y

seguidamente a través del conjunto tubo bajante/bola (B).

ADVERTENCIA: Si no instalas correctamente el pasador

de cierre, es posible que el ventilador se aoje y caiga.

Cómo jar el ventilador a la caja

eléctrica

□ Pasa los cables de suministro de electricidad de 120 V~ a través

del oricio central en el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Instala el soporte de montaje en el cielo raso sobre la caja

eléctrica deslizando el soporte de montaje (A) sobre los dos

tornillos (LL) incluidos con dicha caja. Si es necesario, usa

arandelas niveladoras (no incluidas) entre el soporte de montaje

(A) y la caja eléctrica. Fíjate que el lado plano del soporte de

montaje (A) esté mirando hacia la caja eléctrica. En caso de

montaje cerca del techo, es importante que el soporte de montaje

esté nivelado.

□ Aprieta rmemente los dos tornillos de montaje (LL).

ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de incendio, descarga

□ Retira el soporte de montaje (A) de la cubierta (C) aojando los

dos tornillos de esta (HH) ubicados en las ranuras en forma de L.

□ Quita y guarda los dos tornillos de la cubierta (HH) en los

oricios redondos. Esto permitirá retirar el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Retira la tapa inferior de la cubierta (M) de esta (C) presionado

los tres pasadores.

□ Retira tres de los seis tornillos (JJ) y arandelas de seguridad

(KK) (alternos) que sujetan el collarín del motor a la parte

superior de la carcasa del motor del ventilador (E).

□ Coloca la junta de goma (AA) sobre los tres tornillos restantes.

Asegúrate de que las aberturas de ranura estén mirando

arriba; enseguida procede a colocar la cubierta de techo (C)

Cómo colgar el ventilador

Cómo hacer las conexiones eléctricas

IMPORTANTE: Usa los conectores de cables plásticos (CC) que

se incluyen con tu ventilador. Asegura los conectores con cinta

eléctrica y cerciórate de que no queden hilos ni conexiones sueltas.

ADVERTENCIA: Cualquier cable no suministrado con este

ventilador debe estar diseñado para aceptar un cable de vivienda

de hasta calibre 12 y dos cables del ventilador. Si tienes cableado

doméstico que exceda del calibre 12 o más de un cable doméstico

para conectar al cableado del ventilador, consulta a un electricista

a n de precisar el tamaño adecuado de las tuercas para cables

que se usarán.

□ Con cuidado, levanta el ensamblaje del motor del ventilador (E)

hasta el soporte de montaje deslizante (A).

□ Inserta la bola de soporte del conjunto tubo bajante/bola en el

casquillo del soporte de montaje deslizante (A).

□ Gira el conjunto del tubo bajante/bola hacia la derecha hasta

que quede encajado con la pestaña del soporte de montaje

deslizante alineada con la ranura de la bola.

□ En el montaje "cerca del cielo raso", cuelga el ventilador del

gancho suministrado, usando uno de los oricios redondos en el

borde exterior de la cubierta de techo (C).

ADVERTENCIA: El gancho (OO) debe usarse para sostener el

ventilador ya sólo mientras se hacen las conexiones eléctricas.

Si no se cuelga como se muestra, el gancho (OO) puede

romperse y provocar que el ventilador caiga. El gancho tiene

que pasar de dentro hacia fuera de la cubierta.

ADVERTENCIA: Al colgar el ventilador en el gancho (OO), es

decisivo que uses uno de los oricios sin ranura (redondos) de

la cubierta (C).

NOTA: El ventilador viene con cables terminales de 76.2 cm para

usar con conjunto extendido de tubo bajante/bola. Si usas el conjunto

extendido tubo bajante/bola (B) de 11.4 cm incluido, puedes recortar

los cables terminales al largo deseado (no menos de 30.5 cm).

ADVERTENCIA: Quita los tapones de hule del motor en la parte inferior

del ventilador antes de instalar las aspas o de probar el motor.

□ El ventilador viene con cables terminales de 76.2 cm para usar con

un conjunto extendido de tubo bajante/bola. Si usas el conjunto

extendido tubo bajante/bola (B) de 11.4 cm (incluido), puedes recortar

los cables terminales al largo deseado (no menos de 30.5 cm). Esto

dejará espacio adicional en la cubierta (C). Si no deseas cortar los

cables, deberás enrollarlos ordenadamente.

□ Conecta los cables verdes del motor del ventilador a los cables verdes

o pelados del hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de cables (CC).

□ Conecta el cable blanco del motor del ventilador al cable blanco del

hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de cables (CC).

□ Conecta los cables negro o azul del motor del ventilador al cable

negro del hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de cables (CC).

□ Asegura cada tuerca de conexión de cables con cinta de electricista.

□ Gira la tuerca de conexión de cables (CC) hacia arriba y coloca el

cableado dentro de la caja eléctrica (MM).

Cómo montar el conjunto del motor

del ventilador (montaje estándar)

□ Alinea las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta de techo (C) con los

dos tornillos del soporte de montaje (A). Empuja hacia arriba

para enganchar las ranuras y gira hacia la derecha para

asegurarlas en su sitio.

□ Aprieta rmemente los dos tornillos de montaje.

□ Instala los dos tornillos de montaje (HH) y las arandelas

de seguridad (GG) (guardados en el Paso 1 del ensamblaje,

“Preparación para la instalación”) en los oricios de la cubier-

ta (C) y aprieta rmemente.

ADVERTENCIA: En el montaje estándar del conjunto tubo bajante/

bola, la pestaña en el aro de la parte inferior del soporte de

montaje tiene que encajar en la ranura de la bola de soporte. Si

la pestaña no se asienta correctamente en la ranura, se puede

dañar el cableado.

Cómo enrollar el cable sobrante

□ Con cuidado, enrolla el exceso de cable alrededor del soporte

de montaje.

□ Asegura con cinta de electricista.

NOTA: Sigue estos pasos SOLO si no cortaste el cable sobrante del

ventilador de techo.

ADVERTENCIA: Las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta del techo se

incluyen sólo como ayuda para el montaje. No dejes de vigilar

el ensamblaje del ventilador hasta que los cuatro tornillos de la

cubierta estén jos y rmemente ajustados.

Cómo montar el conjunto del motor del

ventilador (montaje cerca del techo)

□ Con cuidado, desengancha el ventilador del soporte de

montaje (A) y alinea las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta del

techo (C) con los dos tornillos en el soporte de montaje (A).

Empuja hacia arriba para enganchar las ranuras y gira hacia

la derecha para asegurarlas en su sitio. Inmediatamente,

aprieta con rmeza los dos tornillos de montaje.

□ Instala los dos tornillos de montaje (HH) y las arandelas de

seguridad (GG) (guardados en el Paso 1 del ensamblaje,

“Preparación para la instalación”) en los oricios de la

cubierta (C) y aprieta rmemente.

□ Ahora puedes jar las aspas del ventilador.

ADVERTENCIA: Las ranuras de bloqueo de la cubierta de techo

sólo se brinda como ayuda para el montaje. No dejes de vigilar

el ensamblaje del ventilador hasta que los cuatro tornillos de la

cubierta estén jos y rmemente ajustados.

Cómo jar las aspas del ventilador

□ Monta las aspas del ventilador (H) al soporte correspondiente

(I) alineando los tres oricios tipo ojo de cerradura en cada

aspa (H).

□ Inserta y aprieta los tres tornillos de aspas (FF) en los oricios

de los soportes de ellas.

□ Repite para las aspas (H) restantes.

NOTA: Las aspas de tu ventilador son reversibles.

Elige el acabado del aspa por el lado que mejor

resalte tu decoración.

Cómo jar los soportes de las aspas

□ Ajusta el soporte del aspa (H) al motor (E) insertando

el poste de alineación dentro de la ranura de la parte

inferior del conjunto del motor del ventilador (E) y

ajustando los tornillos del motor.

□ Repite este procedimiento para los restantes cuatro

soportes de aspas (I).

NOTA: Las aspas de tu ventilador son reversibles.

Elige el acabado del aspa por el lado que mejor resalte

tu decoración.

Cómo instalar el juego de luces

□ Quita los tres tornillos (QQ) del ensamblaje del soporte del

juego de luces (F).

□ Conecta los cables que salen de la parte inferior del conjunto

del motor (E) uniendo los enchufes del adaptador moldeado

(azul con azul y blanco con blanco).

□ Desliza el conjunto del juego de luces (F) y asegúralo a la caja

del interruptor con los tres tornillos (QQ) que se quitaron en

el primer paso.

ADVERTENCIA: Para disminuir el riesgo de descarga

eléctrica, desconecta el circuito de energía del ventilador

antes de instalar el juego de luces.

Cómo instalar los focos y

colocar la pantalla de la lámpara

□ Con cuidado, desliza la pantalla de la lámpara (G) sobre el

soporte de esta. Asegúrate de que la pantalla de la lámpara

(G) esté totalmente insertada en el portafoco para un ajuste

seguro. Repite para las restantes pantallas de lámpara (G).

□ Con la electricidad desconectada, inserta y ajusta los focos

(incluidos) en los portafocos del juego de luces. Usa focos

LED de 9 W.

□ Instala las extensiones de cadena del interruptor (BB).

PRECAUCIÓN: Colocar focos de vataje incorrecto hará que

las luces del ventilador se apaguen hasta que se instalen

los focos adecuados. Para cambiar las luces, corta la

electricidad, reemplaza los focos por otras del vataje correcto

y vuelve a conectar la electricidad.

PRECAUCIÓN: Asegúrate de que la corriente esté cortada

antes de montar o retirar

la pantalla de la lámpara (G).

ADVERTENCIA: Espera que la pantalla de la lámpara (G)

se enfríe completamente antes de retirarla.

Ensamblaje - Cómo instalar sin el juego de luces

Funcionamiento

Enciende la fuente de electricidad y verica el funcionamiento del

ventilador. El interruptor de cadena controla las velocidades del

ventilador de la siguiente manera:

1 vez: alta, 2 veces: media, 3: baja, y 4: apagado.

Las conguraciones de velocidad apropiadas para clima cálido o frío

dependen de factores tales como el tamaño de la habitación, la altura

del techo y la cantidad de ventiladores.

El interruptor deslizante controla (XX) la dirección de las aspas:

hacia adelante (hacia abajo) o en reversa (hacia arriba).

A. Clima cálido - (Hacia adelante) Un ujo de aire descendente surte

un efecto refrescante. Esto permite jar tu aire acondicionado a

temperatura más alta sin afectar tu comodidad.

B. Clima frío - (Reversa) Un ujo de aire hacia arriba desplaza el aire

cálido lejos del cielo raso. Esto te permite congurar la unidad de

calefacción a temperatura más baja sin afectar tu comodidad.

NOTA: Espera a que se detenga el ventilador antes de invertir la

dirección de giro de las aspas.

Cómo ensamblar el ventilador sin el

juego de luces

□ Quita los tres tornillos de montaje del juego de luces (QQ)

de la cubierta de la caja del interruptor (J).

□ Con el n de utilizar el ventilador sin el juego de luces,

retira la cubierta de la caja del interruptor (J), ubicado en la

parte superior del soporte del juego de luces (F), quitando

la tuerca hexagonal del centro dentro de la cubierta de la

caja del interruptor (J) y desenroscando esta cubierta de

la boquilla roscada sobre la parte superior del soporte del

juego de luces (F).

□ Coloca la cubierta de la caja del interruptor (J) en el

soporte y reinstala los tornillos de montaje del juego de

luces (QQ).

□ Verica los fusibles o cortacircuitos principal y secundarios.

□ Verica las conexiones de cables tanto en línea con el ventilador como en la caja de interruptores.

El ventilador hace

□ Asegura que todos los tornillos de la carcasa del motor estén bien ajustados.

□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos que unen el soporte de aspa al cuerpo del motor estén bien apretados.

□ Asegúrate de que las conexiones de tuerca de cable no choquen unas con otras ni con la pared interior de la caja

del interruptor.

□ Espera que transcurra un período de “adaptación” de 24 horas. En ese período desaparece la mayoría de los

ruidos asociados a un ventilador nuevo.

□ Si usas el kit de luces de ventilador de techo, asegúrate de que los tornillos que sujetan el vidrio estén bien

apretados. Verica que también las bombillas estén aseguradas.

□ Asegúrate de que la cubierta esté a corta distancia del techo. No debe tocar el techo.

□ Asegura que la caja eléctrica quede bien ajustada y que las almohadillas aislantes de hule se hayan instalado

entre la placa de montaje y la caja eléctrica.

El ventilador oscila. □ Verica que todas las aspas y los tornillos de sus brazos estén bien ajustados.

□ La mayoría de los problemas de oscilación del ventilador se deben a que las aspas no están al mismo nivel.

Verica este nivel seleccionando un punto en el techo sobre la punta de una de las aspas. Mide desde un punto

en el centro de cada aspa al otro en el cielo raso. Mide esta distancia. Para medir, gira el ventilador hasta que la

siguiente aspa quede bien colocada. Repite para cada aspa. Las desviaciones de la medición no deben pasar de

0.3 cm. Deja que el ventilador funcione durante diez minutos.

□ Si la oscilación sigue siendo perceptible, usa el kit de compensación de aspas que se incluye.

□ Debido al movimiento natural del ventilador, algunas conexiones pueden aojarse. Revisa dos veces al año las conexiones del soporte,

los soportes y los accesorios de las aspas. Comprueba que estén seguros. No es necesario desmontar el ventilador del techo.

□ Limpia el ventilador con frecuencia para que luzca como nuevo al pasar los años. No uses agua al limpiar. Esto puede dañar el motor

o la madera e incluso provocar descarga eléctrica. Usa sólo un cepillo suave o un paño sin pelusas para evitar arañar el acabado.

El revestimiento está sellado con laca para minimizar la decoloración u opacidad.

□ Puedes aplicar a la madera una na capa de pulimento para muebles y asegurar así mayor protección y superior belleza.

Cubre los arañazos pequeños con una leve aplicación de lustrador para calzado.

□ No necesitas lubricar el ventilador. El motor tiene cojinetes de bola sellados y permanentemente lubricados.
