INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
INSTALACIÓN Y DESINSTALACIÓN
DE RÓTULA:
Este juego de herramienta es para utilizarse
en vehículos y camiones ligeros que tienen
rótula de presión. El 2325 de URREA ayudará
al usuario a remover y a instalar rótulas sin
necesidad de remover el brazo de control del
vehículo.
NOTA: Algunos vehículos y camiones ligeros
deben tener un punto de soldadura en
la parte superior de la rótula y el brazo de
control. La soldadura debe ser cortada y
retirada antes de intentar remover la rótula.
Desinstalar
1. Ensamble la prensa de rótulas sobre el
brazo de control como se muestra en la
Figura 1, seleccione el tamaño correcto del
tubo receptor, posicione este debajo de la
rótula del vehículo como se muestra.
2. Apriete el tornillo forzador hasta que el
tubo receptor llegue al brazo de control.
Verificar la alineación de la herramienta y
componentes, continué apretando el tornillo
forzador hasta remover la rótula.
Instalar
1. Limpie el brazo de control y cubre el
diámetro interno con suficiente lubricante.
2. Inserte la rótula de repuesto la mas recto
posible en el brazo de control del vehículo.
3. Ensamble los componentes de la prensa
para rótulas como se muestra en la Figura
2, posicione el tubo receptor, apriete el
tornillo forzador. Verificar la alineación de
la herramienta y componentes, continué
apretando el tornillo forzador hasta que la
rótula esta sentada firmemente.
INSTALACIÓN Y DESINSTALACIÓN
DEL PERNO DE SUJECIÓN DEL
FRENO:
1. Remover todos los anillos de seguridad en
el perno de sujeción del freno.
2. Posicione la prensa tipo “C” sobre la araña
del freno como se muestra en la Figura 3.
3. Apriete el tornillo forzador hasta remover
el perno de sujeción del freno.
ENSAMBLE Y DESENSAMBLE DE LA
JUNTA “U”:
La prensa tipo C es usada en los servicios de
junta U en la mayoría de vehículos y camiones
ligeros. La junta U puede reparase montada o
desmontada del vehículo.
Desensamble
1. Remueva todos los anillos de seguridad
internos y externos.
2. Posicione la prensa tipo C alrededor de
la unión de la flecha de transmisión, gire
apretando el tornillo forzando hasta que
sea removido el primer rodamiento, como se
muestra en la Figura 4.
3. Reposiciona la prensa tipo C y remueve el
seguro rodamiento.
Ensamble
1. Limpie toda la suciedad y aceite en el área
de unión
2. Alineé el rodamiento de repuesto y la
prensa tipo C lo mas recto posible sobre la
unión. Prense el rodamiento dentro de la
unión e instale nuevamente los anillos de
seguridad internos y/o externos.
3. Reposicione la prensa tipo C y el segundo
rodamiento de repuesto lo mas recto posible
sobre la unión.

instale nuevamente los anillos de seguridad

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
BALL JOINT REMOVAL AND
INSTALLATION:
This tool set is designed for use on all cars and
light trucks that have press-fit type ball joints.
2325 URREA will help the user remove and
install ball joints without the need to remove
the control arm from the vehicle.
NOTE: Some cars and light trucks may have
the upper ball joint spot-welded to the
control arm. The weld must be cut before
attempting to remove the ball joint.
Removal
1. Assemble the ball joint press over the
control arm as shown in Figure 1. Select the
correct size receiving tube, and position it
under the vehicle ball joint as shown.
2. Tighten the forcing screw until the receiving
tube contacts the control arm. Check the
alignment of all tooling and components,
and continue tightening the forcing screw
until the ball joint is removed.
Installation
1. Clean the control arm and coat the I.D.
with a suitable lubricant.
2. Insert the replacement ball joint as straight
as possible into the vehicle control arm.
3. Assemble the ball joint press components
as shown in Figure 2. Position the receiving
tube, and tighten the forcing screw. Check
the alignment of all tooling and components,
and continue tightening the forcing screw
until the ball joint is firmly seated.
BRAKE ANCHOR PIN REMOVAL AND
INSTALLATION:
1. Remove all lock ring retainers from the
brake anchor pins.
2. Position the C-frame press over the brake
spider as shown in Figure 3.
3. Tighten the forcing screw until the anchor
pin is removed.
”U” JOINT ASSEMBLY AND
DISASSEMBLY:
The basic C-trame press is used to service the
“U” joints on most cars and light trucks. The
“U” joints can be serviced either on or off the
vehicle.
Disassembly
1. Remove any external and / or internal lock
rings.
2. Position the C-frame press around the drive
shaft yoke, and tighten the forcing screw
until the fist bearing is removed as shown in
Figure 4.
3. Reposition the C-frame and remove the
second bearing.
Assembly
1. Clean all dirt and oil from the yoke area.
2. Align the replacement bearing and C-frame
press straight as possible over the yoke. Press
the replacement bearing into the yoke, and
reassemble the external / internal lock ring.
3. Reposition the C-frame press and second
replacement bearing as straight as possible
over the yoke, and press the bearing into the
yoke. Reassemble external / internal lock ring.
