Your Amplified Omnidirectional VHF/UHF TV Antenna
provides excellent reception of VHF/UHF TV channels in most
viewing locations. The UV-protected housing is made of impact-
resistant filled co-polymer, making the exterior resistant to
weathering and color change. Omnidirectional operation provides
excellent reception where broadcasts are received from different
directions. The built-in FM trap prevents strong FM stations from
interfering with TV Channels 2–13.
1. Temporarily connect a 75-ohm cable between the power
injector’s ANT 75-ohm jack and the antenna’s F-connector.
2. Connect the power injector’s TV cable to your TV’s VHF/UHF
75-ohm F-connector.
3. Insert the supplied AC adapter’s small plug into the power
injector’s DC 12V jack. (See notes on this page.)
4. Plug the AC adapter into a standard AC outlet. If the power
injector’s LED lights, the antenna is properly connected.
The antenna can be mounted on a horizontal mast, closet rod, or on
a short piece of mast suspended from a roof support by a wall-mount
bracket . Or, you can simply place the antenna on a shelf in a closet.
Position the antenna so it cannot easily fall or be damaged.
For best results, mount the antenna away from trees and
obstructions. Install it on any antenna mast or light-duty mount with
hand tools and the following items:

NOTES
If you are installing the antenna in a motor home, we recommend using
a 12V DC cord (not supplied).
The cable between the power injector and the antenna carries DC
power from the power injector to the antenna’s amplifier board, and
carries amplified TV signal from the antenna, through the power
injector, to the video equipment.
If devices such as amplifiers, splitters, matching transformers, or
300-ohm cable are used in your home cable system, they must be
connected between the power injector and your video equipment. Any
devices connected between the power injector and the antenna might
cause a short in the amplifier power source. If this happens, the power
injector’s LED does not light and signals to your video equipment might
be significantly degraded.

CAUTION
Do not bend coaxial cable (RG-6/U) into less than a 3-inch radius.
Tighter bends can cause shorts and change the cable’s impedance.

install coaxial cable where it will have a pulling tension greater
than 50 pounds. Leave no tension on the cable after installing it.
Use only round-headed staples. Any clamps or securing devices should
grip the cable evenly without crushing it.
Do not expose coaxial cable to a temperature greater than 176
˚
F (80

C).
Keep the cable away from heating vents and water heaters.
The cable jacket withstands most outdoor environments. However, you
must seal connections and splices against water entry.

3. Plug one end of a 75-ohm coaxial download cable to the
antenna jack an

seal it with sealant tape or a weather boot.
4. Mount the antenna on the mast, and secure it with the hex nut
Ground wires should be copper or aluminum, 8 AWG or larger.
Mount a grounding block as close as possible to where the
download enters the house.
Download wire from the antenna to the grounding block and the
mast ground wire should be secured to the house and spaced
4–6 feet apart.
Lightning Protection
1. Connect the coax download from the antenna to the power
injector’s ANT jack.
2. If your TV has an F-connector, connect the coax from the power
injector to your TV’s VHF/UHF 75-ohm F-connector.
If your TV has screw terminals for VHF/UHF connection, connect
a 75-to-300 ohm transformer (not supplied) between the power
injector and the VHF/UHF terminals.
If your TV has a 75-ohm VHF connection and a 300-ohm UHF
connection, connect a signal splitter (not supplied) between the
power injector and the TV’s VHF/UHF connections.
3. Insert the AC adapter’s small plug into the power injector’s
DC 12V jack. Plug the adapter into a standard AC outlet. The
power injector’s LED lights to indicate proper connection.
Many do-it-yourself and professional antenna installers are injured or
killed each year by electric shock, because they fail to recognize
overhead wires as being potentially lethal. Touching any part of the
antenna mast or guy wire to these overhead wires is the same as
touching the wires with your bare hand. A very serious shock is
almost sure to result when contacting an electrical wire. In the case
of primary wires on the top of poles, the shock is like being struck by
a bolt of lightning. Many power wires are within 20–25 feet of the
ground and can easily be touched by an antenna and mast.
Select an antenna site away from all overhead wires.
Do not try to guess which overhead wires carry high voltage. If
you notice anything making contact with the overhead wires, call
the power company to have it removed safely.

Get help from a qualified professional when removing the old
antenna if there is any doubt of clearing overhead wires.
Never install an antenna when it is windy.
Do all assembly work on the ground, then raise the antenna.
Make sure the antenna mast downlead cable is connected to
suitable lightning arrestors.
Make sure the installation is secure. Use plenty of guy wires and
new hardware.

workmanship under normal use for ninety (90) days from the date of purchase from

EXPRESS WARRANTIES AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THOSE OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN
DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THE WRITTEN LIMITED WARRANTIES CONTAINED
HEREIN. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, Antennacraft SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY OR
RESPONSIBILITY TO CUSTOMER OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY WITH

In the event of a product defect during the warranty period, take the product and the sales
receipt as proof of purchase date to any Antennacraft dealer. Antennacraft will, at its option,
unless otherwise provided by law: (a) correct the defect by product repair without charge for
parts and labor; (b) replace the product with one of the same or similar design; or (c) refund
the purchase price. All replaced parts and products, and products on which a refund is
made, become the property of Antennacraft. New or reconditioned parts and products may
be used in the performance of warranty service. Repaired or replaced parts and products
are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. You will be charged for
repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration of the warranty period.
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to acts of God,
abuse, accident, misuse, improper or abnormal usage, failure to follow instructions,
improper installation or maintenance, alteration, lightning or other incidence of excess
voltage or current; (b) any repairs other than those provided by a antennacraft authorized
service facility; (c) consumables such as fuses or batteries; (d) cosmetic damage; (e)
transportation, shipping or insurance costs; or (f) costs of product removal, installation, set-
up service adjustment or reinstallation. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you
may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

3. Conecte un extremo del cable coaxial de bajada de 75 ohmios en el
enchufe de la antena y séllelos con cinta selladora o con una funda
para la intemperie.
4. Monte la antena en el mástil y asegúrela con las tuercas
hexagonales.
Los cables de conexión a tierra deben ser de cobre o de aluminio,
de calibre AWG 8, o más gruesos.
Monte un ancla de conexión a tierra tan cerca como sea posible
del punto donde el cable de bajada entra en la casa.
El cable de bajada de la antena al ancla de conexión a tierra y el
cable de conexión a tierra del mástil deben asegurarse a la casa,
con una separación de 4 a 6 pies (de 1.2 a 2 metros) entre sí.

Si va a utilizar la antena en una casa rodante, le recomendamos utilizar
un cordón de 12 voltios para corriente continua (no viene incluido).
El cable existente entre el inyector de corriente y la antena lleva la corriente
continua del inyector a la placa de amplificación, y transporta la señal
amplificada de televisión desde la antena, a través del inyector de corriente,
hasta el equipo de video.
Si en el sistema de cableado doméstico se emplean dispositivos como
amplificadores, divisores, transformadores de adaptación, o un cable de
300 ohmios, deben estar conectados entre el inyector de corriente y el
equipo de video. Todos los dispositivos conectados entre el inyector de
corriente y la antena pueden llegar a causar un corto en la fuente de
alimentación del amplificador. Si sucede esto, el diodo luminiscente del
inyector no se enciende y las señales enviadas al equipo de video podrían
resultar deterioradas en un grado considerable.

El forro del cable tolera la mayoría de las condiciones a la intemperie.

1. Conecte temporalmente un cable de 75 ohmios entre enchufe ANT
[ANTENA] de 75 ohmios del inyector de corriente y el conector F
de la antena.
2. Conecte el cable de televisión del inyector de corriente al conector
F de VHF/UHF de 75 ohmios del televisor.
4. Conecte el adaptador en una toma de corriente alterna (C.A.)
estándar. Si se enciende el diodo luminiscente del inyector de
corriente, significa que está conectada correctamente la antena.
PRUEBA PREVIA A LA INSTALACIÓN
Su antena UHF/VHF de televisión omnidireccional amplificada proporciona
una recepción excelente de los canales de televisión VHF/UHF en la
mayoría de los lugares donde se ven. La caja, la cual dispone de
protección contra rayos ultravioleta (UV), está hecha de copolímero relleno
resistente a impactos, gracias a lo cual el exterior es resistente a la
intemperie y a cambios en el color. El funcionamiento omnidireccional de la
unidad proporciona una recepción excelente donde se recibe la
transmisión desde diferentes direcciones. La trampa de FM integrada evita
la interferencia de las estaciones potentes de FM con los canales de
televisión 2 al 13.

1. Conecte el cable coaxial de bajada de la antena en el enchufe

Si el televisor dispone de terminales de tornillo para conexión

Si el televisor dispone de una conexión VHF de 75 ohmios y de una

del televisor.

Muchos instaladores de antenas, tanto aficionados como profesionales,
resultan lesionados o muertos debido a descargas eléctricas debido
a que no reconocen el peligro potencialmente mortal de los cables
aéreos. Si se toca cualquier parte del mástil de la antena o de un cable
de retención, equivale a tocar los cables con la mano descubierta.
Una descarga eléctrica seria es el resultado casi seguro al tocarse un
cable eléctrico. En el caso de los cables principales en la parte superior
de los postes, la descarga equivale a la de un rayo. Numerosos cables
de energía eléctrica están a 20 ó 25 pies (de 6 a 8 metros) del suelo,
y pueden ser tocados fácilmente por una antena y un mástil.
Seleccione un lugar para la antena alejado de todo cable aéreo.
No trate de adivinar cuáles cables aéreos son de alto voltaje.
Si observa alguna cosa haciendo contacto con los cables aéreos,
