If using a container, press ON/ZERO/ Off to tare the container before adding material. If the applied load exceeds the capacity of the scale, an E will appear on the display and the load should be removed immediately. The scale now displays zero and will display the weight of material added. Once the desired quantity is reached, press ON/ZERO/Off again to reset the display to zero before adding the next item.
