When using this product, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should be taken, including the following:

1. Never operate the unit if it is not working properly, if it has been damaged or if it has been immersed in water.
2. THIS IS NOT A TOY. Close adult supervision is necessary when this product is used by, on, or near children or people with certain disabilities.
3. DO NOT use these jewels on children 6 years of age or younger, as small objects may present a choking hazard.
Store unit and jewels out of reach of children.
4. Use only new batteries. Never mix old and new batteries.
5. Use this product only for its intended use as described in this guide.
6. This product is designed for adding jewels to hair only. DO NOT use this product for any other purpose.
7. Do not use any attachments other than those supplied by Conair.
8. This appliance is not intended for commercial use.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
10. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.

USER MAINTENANCE
Your Quick Gems™ Jeweler is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. If cleaning becomes necessary, wipe exterior with a damp
cloth. If any abnormal condition occurs, return it to an authorized service representative only. No repairs should be attempted by the consumer.
HOW TO LOAD THE BATTERIES
1. Remove screw to open battery compartment.
2. Insert 2 AAA batteries into the jewelling tool as indicated in the battery compartment.
3. Once batteries are in place, replace battery cover on and fasten screw. In order for the Quick Gems™ unit to work,
be sure to insert the batteries in the correct position.
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
1. This product requires 2 AAA batteries (not included).
2. Since batteries are sensitive to high temperatures, keep them in a cool, dry place when storing.
3. Battery contacts need to be clean, both on the battery and in the appliance, before installation.
4. Batteries should be removed from the appliance when not being used for long periods of time (e.g., months).
5. Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
6. Be careful and install (+) and (-) on batteries to the correct plus and minus on device.
7. Replace all old batteries at one time. Do not mix old and new.
8. Remove discharged battery immediately to avoid leakage.
9. Never put batteries into a fire.
10. Switch off device after use.
11. Keep batteries away from children, especially the batteries that are small enough to ingest.
12. If a battery is ingested, seek immediate medical attention. The National Battery Ingestion Hotline is available
anytime at (202) 625-3333 (call collect if necessary) or call your poison center at (800) 222-1222.
13. Never open, crush, puncture or disassemble batteries.
14. Dispose of batteries according to any state and local regulations.
