• Extensive use could lead to the product’s excessive heating and
shorter life. Should this occur, discontinue use and allow the unit to

eruptions.

• DO NOT use this product before bed. The massage has a stimulating
effect and can delay sleep.

Maintenance
To Store
Place massager in its box or in a safe, dry, cool place. Avoid contact
with sharp edges or pointed objects which might cut or puncture the
fabric surface. To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around
the unit. Do not hang the unit by the hand control cord.
To Clean
Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a
soft, slightly damp sponge. Never allow water or any other liquids to
come into contact with the unit.
• Do not immerse in any liquid to clean.
• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene,
glass / furniture polish or paint thinner to clean.
• Do not attempt to repair the Shiatsu Massaging Cushion.
There are no user serviceable parts. For service, send the
unit to the HoMedics address listed in the warranty section.
NOTE: Cleaning instructions apply to the unit and
removable flap.

• This unit should not be used by children or invalids without adult
supervision.
• This product is not for use in automobiles.
• This appliance is designed for household use only.
Instructions for Use
The Double Shiatsu Massaging Cushion comes with a screw located
on the back of the unit to protect the massage mechanism during
shipment, which must be removed before the first use to allow the
shiatsu feature to function. Use the provided allen wrench. Then,
properly dispose of the screw, and place the included black plug
nto the hole that was left by the screw. Warning – Failure to remove
screw may cause permanent damage to the massage cushion.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug
(one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way
. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper
outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
This cushion is powered by and comes with a UL-approved cord. Untie
cord strap, extend cord and insert plug into 120-volt household electrical
outlet to power unit.
Attach the cushion to most chairs for a luxurious massage as you read,
rest or even work. See pages 6–7 for instructions on the use of the
hand control.
Strapping System
The Double Shiatsu Massaging Cushion incorporates a unique
strapping system which allows you to fasten it to almost any chair.
Just slip the straps over the seat or chair and adjust fastening straps
to secure. Your massager won’t slip or slide away.
Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu is a deep kneading circular massage.
This unit features a massage mechanism that
travels up and down the back of the cushion.

unit will complete one
cycle of Shiatsu back
massage (the unit will
travel up and down the
back in HIGH intensity,
then up the back in LOW
intensity and will finish
by moving down the
back in HIGH intensity).
Once complete, the unit
automatically turns off.

LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY
HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for
a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. HoMedics warrants that its
products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty
extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, mail the product and your dated sales receipt (as
proof of purchase), postpaid, to the following address:

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer
purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the
terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the
attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized
repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction
or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation
damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is
at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond
the control of HoMedics.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product
is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country
than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products
damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE
NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY
OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS
COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL
OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR
REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE
PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE
MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS
IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.
This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or resealed products,
including but not limited to sale of such products on Internet auction sites and/or sales of such products by
surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate as to
any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified, without the prior express
and written consent of HoMedics.

Instrucciones de uso
El Almohadón de Doble Masaje Shiatsu trae un tornillo en el respaldo
de la unidad que sirve para proteger el mecanismo de masaje durante
el transporte; es necesario quitar ese tornillo antes del primer uso para
permitir que la función de shiatsu pueda actuar. Para retirarlo, use la
llave Allen incluida. Deseche el tornillo apropiadamente, y coloque el
tapón negro incluido en el orificio donde estaba el tornillo. Advertencia
– El no retirar el tornillo puede causar daño permanente al
almohadón para masajes.
Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, este artefacto tiene un enchufe
polarizado (una paleta es más ancha que la otra). Este enchufe encaja de
una sola forma en un tomacorriente polarizado. Si el enchufe no encaja
completamente en el tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe. Si aún así no
encaja, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado para que instale
el tomacorriente adecuado. No modifique el enchufe de ninguna forma.
Este almohadón viene equipado con y se alimenta por medio de un
cable homologado por UL
. Desate la cinta del cable, extienda el cable
e inserte el enchufe en un tomacorriente doméstico de 120 voltios para
alimentar la unidad.
Sujete el cojín a la mayoría de los tipos de silla para obtener un
suntuoso masaje mientras lee, descansa o incluso mientras trabaja. Vea

Sistema de correas
El Almohadón de Doble Masaje Shiatsu incorpora un exclusivo sistema

Mantenimiento
Para guardar
Coloque el masajeador en su caja
o en un lugar seguro, seco y fresco. Evite el contacto con bordes
filosos u objetos punzantes que puedan cortar o perforar la superficie
del material que lo recubre. Para evitar roturas, NO envuelva el cable
de corriente alrededor de la unidad. NO cuelgue la unidad del cable
del control manual.
Para limpiar
Desenchufe la unidad y deje que se enfríe antes de limpiarla. Limpie
únicamente con una esponja suave, apenas húmeda. Nunca permita
que el agua ni otro líquido entre en contacto con la unidad.
• NO sumerja la unidad en ningún líquido para limpiarla.
• NUNCA utilice limpiadores abrasivos, cepillos, gasolina, querosén,
limpiador de vidrios o lustramuebles para limpiar.

Este equipo ha sido ensayado y probado y se ha comprobado que
cumple con los límites de los dispositivos digitales de la Clase B, según la
Sección
15 de las Normas FCC. Estos límites han sido dispuestos para
proporcionar una protección razonable contra las interferencias dañinas en las
instalaciones domésticas. Este equipo genera, usa y puede irradiar energía de
radiofrecuencia y, si no se instala y usa según las recomendaciones, puede causar
interferencias dañinas a las comunicaciones radio. Sin embargo, no hay garantías
de que dichas interferencias no se produzcan en una instalación particular. Si este
equipo causara interferencias dañinas a la recepción de radio o televisión, lo que
puede determinarse encendiendo y apagando el equipo, se anima el usuario a que
trate de corregir la interferencia con uno o más de los siguientes procedimientos:
• Volver a orientar y ubicar la antena receptora.

Masaje Shiatsu
Shiatsu es un masaje con movimiento circular
de amasar en profundidad. Esta unidad tiene
un mecanismo de masaje que se desplaza
hacia arriba y hacia abajo en el espaldar del
almohadón.
ATENCIÓN:
El
mecanismo de
masaje Shiatsu
siempre “se aparca”
o se coloca en su
posición más baja.
Sigue en esta posición
después de
desconectar la energía.
Si la corriente se
interrumpe, cuando
vuelve, el mecanismo
se “aparca” o sea se
coloca en la posición
más baja.

Teclas de intensidad
Para ajustar la intensidad del masaje
Para seleccionar una intensidad de masaje,
simplemente presione las teclas y el L.E.D
correspondiente se iluminará.
ATENCIÓN: La unidad se apaga
automáticamente después de
15 minutos, por seguridad.
Botón de encendido
Para encender las
funciones de masaje,
primero oprima el botón
POWER (Encendido).
El indicador L.E.D. se
iluminará confirmado
su selección. Para
apagar las funciones de
masaje, simplemente
oprima el botón
nuevamente. El indicador
L.E.D. destella mientras
el mecanismo de masaje
Shiatsu vuelve a la
posición más baja
y luego se apaga.

Para una breve
demostración de las
características del
almohadón de doble
masaje shiatsu,
presione el botón de
demostración (DEMO).
La unidad completará
un ciclo de masajes
shiatsu para la espalda
(la unidad se desplaza
hacia arriba y abajo en
la espalda, en alta
intensidad [HIGH], luego
hacia arriba en la espalda
en baja intensidad [LOW]
y termina desplazándose
hacia abajo en la espalda,
en alta intensidad
[HIGH]). Una vez
terminado, la unidad se
apaga automáticamente.
