* It is recommended that you use the watch correctly following the above-mentioned scope of usage

after ascertaining water resistance precautions marked on the dial or caseback.

ENGLISH

1 A watch with water resistance for daily life 30m (3 bar) can be used during

face-washing, etc. but cannot be used in an environment in which it will be

submerged in water.

2 A watch with reinforced water resistance for daily life I 50m (5 bar) can be

used while swimming, etc. but cannot be used during any type of diving

including skin diving.

3 A watch with reinforced water resistance for daily life II 100m or 200m (10

or 20 bar) can be used while skin diving, but cannot be used while scuba

diving using oxygen tanks or saturation diving using helium gas, etc.

4 Keep the crown pushed in at all times (in the normal position) while using

the watch. If the crown is the screwed-down type, check that it is securely

screwed down.

5 Do not operate the crown underwater, or while the watch is wet. Water

may enter the interior of the watch and defeat the water resistance.

6 If your watch is non-water resistant, beware of splashes of water (during

face washing, rain, etc.) and sweat. If the watch becomes wet from water

or sweat, wipe the moisture off with a dry, soft cloth.

7 Even with a water resistant watch for everyday use, avoid directing strong

jets of mains water onto the watch. Water pressure above the limit can

apply, which may defeat the water resistance.

8 With a water resistant watch for everyday use, rinse sea water off the case

after exposure, then wipe it thoroughly to avoid corrosion and other effects.

9 The interior of the watch contains some amount of moisture, which may

cause fogging on the inside of the glass when the outside air is cooler than

the internal temperature of the watch. If the fogging is temporary it causes

no harm inside the watch, but if prolonged, or if water enters the watch,

consult your place of purchase and do not leave the problem untreated.

(2) Shock

1 Be sure not to carry the watch when you engage in strenuous

sports, whereas playing such light sports as golf, etc., will not

adversely influence the watch.

2 Avoid a violent shock such as dropping the watch on the

floor.

(3) Magnetism

1 If the watch is left at a location with strong magnetism for an extended

period of time, the components may be magnetized, resulting in

malfunction. Be careful.

2 The watch may temporarily speed up or slow down when exposed to

magnetism. Precision is restored when placed away from magnetism. In

such a case, reset the time.

(4) Vibration

The watch may lose precision if subjected to strong

vibrations such as from riding motorcycles, using

jackhammers, chain saws, etc.

(5) Temperature

In environments below and above normal temperatures (5°C-35°C), the

watch may malfunction and stop.

Do not use the watch at high temperatures, such as in a sauna. The watch

may heat and cause burns.

(6) Chemicals, Gases, etc.

Utmost caution must be exercised when coming into contact with gases,

mercury, chemicals (paint thinner, gasoline, various solvents, detergents

containing such components, adhesives, paint, drugs, perfumes,

cosmetics, etc.), and so forth. Such may cause discoloration of the

watchcase, watchband, and dial face. Discoloration, deformation, and

damage to various resin-based component parts may also occur.

(7) About accessory parts

Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the watch.

Store the bracelet/strap pin and other small parts out of the reach of

children.

If any small parts are swallowed, immediately contact a doctor.

(8) Allergic reactions

If you develop a skin rash or your skin becomes abnormally irritated due to

contact with the watch or strap, stop wearing the watch immediately and

consult a doctor.

(9) About “luminous light”

Some models have luminous light on the hands and dial.

The luminous light is a safe paint that stores sunlight and artificial light

without using any radioactive material, and emits that light in a dark

setting. As the paint discharges the stored light, it will become dimmer

over time. The amount of light emitted and the time that light is emitted

depends on various factors when the light is stored, such as the shape

of the glass, the thickness of the paint, surrounding brightness level, the

distance from the watch to the light source, and the light absorption level.

Please note that when not enough light energy is stored, the watch may

emit weak light or emit light for only a short time.

(10) Water resistant watchband

Some models employ leather and nylon bands on which a special

treatment to resist perspiration and water absorption have been applied.

Please understand that the water resisting effect of this watchband can be

lost depending on the period and conditions of use.

 HOW TO IDENTIFY THE CALIBER NUMBER

Check the caliber number by referring to the model number of your watch or

the case code on the watch’s case back.

1. Searching by 10-digit model number

Check the 10-digit model number on the guarantee supplied with your watch.

You can also see the number on the product tag put on the watch. Its second

and third digits indicate the caliber number of your watch.

Example: If the model number is “ FX01002B ”, the caliber number is “FX”.

2. Searching by the case code

See the case code on the case back of your watch.

A: If the case code is 6 digits, the first two digits indicate the caliber number.

B: If the case code is 8 or 9 digits, the first three digits indicate the movement

number. Search the caliber number corresponding to the movement

number referring to the correspondence table.

“46D”. The caliber number corresponding the number will be

found “EU” on the table.

• After 24 hours at room temperature with the mainspring wound fully and the

• Due to the characteristics of the automatic winding watch, the time may

deviate from the stated “daily accuracy” depending on the following

conditions: amount of time the watch is worn each day, position of the

watch, movement of your arm, winding condition of the mainspring.

Product specifications may change without notice, for improvement.

CAUTION

* Avoid setting the date during the time periods listed in “Remark1” above

since the calendar changes during this time. If the date is set during this

time period, the date may not change or the watch may malfunction. Be

sure to move the hour and minute hands away from this time period when

setting the date.

 AUTOMATIC WINDING MECHANISM

(1) This is an automatic winding mechanical watch.

(2) The mainspring is wound by natural movements of your

arm when wearing the watch on your wrist.

(3) If your watch stops, swing the watch back and forth ten

or more times to re-start the second hand. After it starts

moving, set the date and time.

(4) This watch will run approximately 40 hours after it is fully

wound. If it is not wound enough, the watch may lose

accuracy. In order to maintain the watch’s accuracy, we recommend

wearing the watch at least 8 hours a day.

 MODELS WITH SCREWED-DOWN CROWN

Depending on the model, you may not be able to pull the crown out without

unscrewing it (models with screwed-down crown).

Operate this type of watch as follows:

(1) Before setting the date and time, first turn the crown to the left to loosen

the screw lock.

(2) After setting the date and time, turn the crown to the right while pressing

in, until it stops turning to securely tighten the screw.

 HOW TO SET THE TIME

[EU(46D), FX(46Y), FE(46P), FN(46V), FP(46W)]

(1) Pull out the crown to the second click.

The second hand does not stop.

(2) Turn the crown clockwise and set the

current time.

Since this watch comes with a calendar,

make sure that you set either a.m. or

p.m. without fail.

The date changes at [twelve o’clock

midnight].

When setting the time, first bring the

hand back slightly earlier the actual

time and then move it forward to the

actual time.

(3) Press the crown in to the normal

position.

 HOW TO SET THE DATE [ALL MODELS]

(1) Pull the crown out to the first click.

The crown on this watch can be pulled out

to the first and second clicks.

(2) Turn the crown counterclockwise until you

reach today’s date.

(3) Press the crown in to the normal position.

The position of the crown, date indicator, etc. may vary on some models.

About date correction at month’s end:

Date correction is necessary for months with 30 days or less. Set the date to

the [1st day] on the first day of the next month.

The 24-hour hand moves in conjunction with the hour

hand and cannot be set by itself.

Some watches may display time using pictures or

symbols (Sun & Moon) instead of the 24-hour hand.

HOW TO SET THE TIME & DAYS OF THE WEEK [ES(46C), ET(46B)]

Set the day of the week first by turning the hour hand and minute hand

since this watch does not come with a correcting mechanism for the day of

the week.

(1) Pull the crown out to the second click. (Second

hand does not stop.)

(2) At first, turn the crown and set the day of the

week.

Turn the crown clockwise until the hand

indicates the day of the week.

Turn the crown counterclockwise and bring

back the

hands to

about 11:30

p.m. (At this

time, the day

Again, turn the crown clockwise until the hand

indicates the next day of the week.

Repeat this operation and set the day of the

week.

(3) Turn the crown clockwise to set the time.

* Since this watch comes with a calendar, be

sure to set either a.m. or p.m.

The date changes at [twelve o’clock midnight].

Also, you can check a.m. and p.m. with the 24-

hour hand.

Some models may use a picture-based system

(Sun & Moon) instead of the 24-hour hand. The

time is twelve o’ clock midnight when the Moon

symbol is at the top of the window.

* When setting the time, first bring the hand

back slightly later than the actual time and then

move it forward to the actual time.

(4) Press the crown in to the normal position.

 HOW TO SET THE TIME & DAYS OF THE WEEK [EV(46E)]

Set the day of the week first by turning the

hour hand and minute hand since this watch

does not feature a correcting mechanism for

the day of the week.

(1) Pull the crown out to the second click.

(Second hand does not stop.)

(2) At first, turn the crown and set the day of the

week.

Turn the crown clockwise until the hand

indicates the day of the week.

If a day of the week is between two days of the

week, turn the crown until a day is shown.

Turn the crown counterclockwise and bring

back the hands to about 11:30 p.m. (At this

time, the day of the week does not come

back.)

Again, turn the crown clockwise until the next

day of the week is shown.

Repeat this operation and set the day of the

week.

(3) Turn the crown clockwise to set the time.

Since this watch comes with a calendar,

be sure to set either a.m. or p.m.

The date changes at [twelve o’clock

midnight].

When setting the time, first bring the hand

back slightly later than the actual time and

then move it forward to the actual time.

(4) Press the crown in to the normal position.

Press the click button at the two o’clock position to set AM/PM and the day

of the week.

When setting the time, be sure that AM/PM is set correctly.

Example: Changing the display from SUN AM to MON AM

(1) Press the click button to change the display from SUN AM to SUN PM.

(2) Press the click button again to change SUN PM to MON AM.

* For types of watches with a click button that cannot be pressed with your

finger (i.e. the “hidden button” type)

The day of the week can be set by pressing the click button using a sharp,

pointed object such as a precision screwdriver, a pair of tweezers or a metal

pin.

The layout of the days of the week and the location of the window vary from

model to model.

There are models that indicate the day of the week with l (dot) or ▲ (arrow).

Though display methods are different, operation methods are the same.

See below for operation methods.

Press the click button until the month to be set lines up with the last two digits

of the year to be set at the top of the dial.

* To display the month of January or February during a leap year, line up the

last two digits of the year with the appropriate

in the black box.

The last two digits of the year for a leap year are printed in red.

A calendar with the days for the specified month in their appropriate places is

displayed at the bottom of the dial.

◆ HOW TO USE THE DUAL TIME FUNCTION [FE(46P)]

You can see the time for two different time zones, one for the city you are in

and another for any other city, using the rotating bezel and the 24-hour hand.

(1) First be sure that the watch is showing the correct time.

(2) Get the time difference for the city you want to know the time of. (See

Comparison table of standard times.)

(3) When the time difference is a negative number, turn the bezel clockwise to

that number of hours. When the time difference is positive, turn the bezel

counterclockwise to that number of hours.

(4) The number on the bezel where the 24-hour hand is pointing will be the

time in the city you selected.

Example: When you want to know the time in London while you are in Japan

London time is 9 hours behind Japan. Therefore, turn the rotating bezel

clockwise 9 hours. The hours and minutes shown by the watch hands is the

time in Japan. The number on the bezel where the 24-hour hand is pointing

is the time in London. (Japan time: 10:09 a.m., London time: 01:09 a.m.)

Example: When you want to know the time in Japan while you are in London

Japan time is 9 hours ahead of the time in London. Therefore, turn the

rotating bezel counterclockwise 9 hours. The hours and minutes shown by

the watch hands is the time in London. The number on the bezel where the

24-hour hand is pointing is the time in Japan. (London time: 10:09 a.m.,

Japan time 07:09 p.m.).

◆ USING THE ROTATING WORLD TIME RING

When you turn the rotating indicator ring and align the city names with the

times, you can read the respective times of the cities right away.

Example: It is 10:00 p.m. in Tokyo now.

(1) In the 24-hour system, 10:00 p.m. is 22:00 hours.

(2) Set TOKYO on the World Time

Ring to the 22-hour position of

the 24-hour scale.

* The World Time Ring comes in

various types, such as with a

crown for setting world time or

with a rotating bezel.

(3) The position that CHICAGO on

the World Time Ring indicates

is the time in Chicago.

* The position indicated by each

scale on the World Time Ring represents the time in that country.

Using this method, you can simultaneously see the time in countries around

the world by using the scales on the World Time Ring and reading the dial.

* The position of the inner ring crown and details of the date indicator may

vary depending on the model.

◆ HOW TO ADJUST A DAY OF THE WEEK [FX(46Y)]

Correction of a day of the week is required the beginning of a month.

Please unite the day of the week display of a dial on the day at the

beginning of a month.

Please adjust the following procedure.

Push the click button, and adjust a day of the week.

Whenever it pushes a day of the week display twice, it changes.

(* It does not change to the right position only by pushing once)

Please repeat this operation and adjust with the day of the week of that

month.

* For types of watches with a click button that cannot be pressed with your

finger (i.e. the “hidden button” type)

The day of the week can be set by pressing the click button using a sharp,

pointed object such as a precision screwdriver, a pair of tweezers or a metal

pin.

◆ USING THE ROTATING ORIENTATION RING [FE (46P)]

Turning the crown will rotate the

rotating orientation ring.

If you point the hour hand in the

direction of the sun while keeping

the watch horizontal, the direction

between the hour hand and twelve

o’clock will face south.

(1) In the morning, with twelve

o’clock as the origin, “the

position midway between

twelve o’clock and the hour

hand counterclockwise from

twelve o’clock” will point toward

south. Refer to FIG. 1.

(2) In the afternoon, with twelve

o’clock as the origin, “the

position midway between

twelve o’clock and the hour

hand clockwise from twelve

o’clock” will point toward south.

Refer to FIG. 2.

The orientation ring is labeled with

indications for north, south, east,

and west (N, S, E, and W) as well

as numbers for degrees of angles

to allow directions to be known quickly.

This function can only be used in the northern hemisphere. However, you

may not be able to use it in regions in latitudes lower than the Tropic of

Cancer, depending on the season.

• To use this function, you need to be able to confirm the position of the

sun.

• To use this function, you need to set the watch’s time to the local time

of the place where you are located.

• This function is merely a simple compass and cannot be used to

determine true direction.

Example: When wanting to know the direction of east at nine o’clock in the

morning. Refer to FIG. 1.

(1) Point the hour hand toward the sun.

(2) The position midway between the hour hand (nine o’clock) and twelve

o’clock points toward south, so turn the S on the rotating orientation ring to

line it up with the position of 10:30 on the dial.

(3) In this case, the direction in which E points (7:30) on the rotating orientation

ring is east.

◆ HOW TO SET THE MONTHLY CALENDAR

Some models come with a calendar function which uses an inner ring or bezel

on the exterior of the case to indicate the date.

The monthly calendar can be used by turning the crown to set the rotating ring

inside the watchcase and aligning it with the day of the week that is printed

on the dial.

Turn the crown to align the first day of the month to the appropriate day of

the week.

* Note that when setting the first day of the month, if the days at the end of the

month (31st, etc.) are aligned with the section that does not have the days

of the week printed on the dial (3 - 4 o’clock side), days of the week will not

be indicated at the end of the month.

* The position of the inner ring crown and details of the date indicator may

vary depending on the model.

 HOW TO USE THE ROTATING INDICATOR BEZEL

Please notice that some models come with a

rotating indicator bezel, which should be used

properly.

Turn the bezel by pointing the



mark to the

minute-hand. While certain time goes by,

you can measure the elapsed time from the

distance between minute-hand and figures on

the rotating indicator bezel. You can also set

the



mark as a desired time to remind you

how long time is still remain for an appointment.

You cannot turn the bezel reversely since

it comes with a protection mechanism for

preventing wrong operation by force or shock.

Figures on the bezel could also help you to

read the current time easily.

* Depending on design, anti-reversely and 1 minute “click” sound mechanism

on rotating indicator bezel does not apply to some models.

WARNUNG

1 Eine Uhr mit Wasserfestigkeit für täglichen Gebrauch 30m (3 bar) kann beim

Gesichtwaschen usw. verwendet werden, ist aber nicht dafür geeignet, in

Wasser getaucht zu werden.

2 Eine Uhr mit gesteigerter Wasserfestigkeit für täglichen Gebrauch I 50m

(5 bar) kann beim Schwimmen usw. verwendet werden, ist aber nicht zum

Tauchen, einschließlich Tauchen ohne Geräte, geeignet.

3 Eine Uhr mit gesteigerter Wasserfestigkeit für täglichen Gebrauch II 100m

oder 200m (10 oder 20 bar) kann beim Tauchen ohne Geräte verwendet

werden, ist aber nicht zum Scuba-Tauchen mit Sauerstoffflaschen oder

Sättigungstauchen mit Heliumgas usw. geeignet.

ACHTUNG

4 Lassen Sie die Krone beim Gebrauch der Uhr immer eingedrückt (in

Normalposition). Wenn die Krone als Schraubensperrtyp ausgelegt ist, stellen

Sie sicher, dass sie sicher eingeschraubt ist.

5 Betätigen Sie die Krone nicht unter Wasser oder bei nasser Uhr. Dabei kann

trotz Wasserbeständigkeit Wasser kann in die Uhr eindringen.

6 Wenn Ihre Uhr nicht wasserbeständig ist, achten Sie auf Wasserspritzer (beim

Gesichtwaschen, Regen usw.) und Schweiß. Wenn die Uhr durch Wasser

oder Schweiß nass wird, wischen Sie die Feuchtigkeit mit einem trockenen,

weichen Lappen ab.

Auch bei einer für täglichen Gebrauch wasserfesten Uhr vermeiden Sie es, direkte

starke Wasserstrahlen auf die Uhr auftreffen zu lassen. Bei Wasserdruck über

dem Grenzwert kann trotz Wasserbeständigkeit Wasser in die Uhr eindringen.

8 Bei einer für täglichen Gebrauch wasserbeständigen Uhr wischen Sie

Meerwasser sofort von der Uhr ab und wischen Sie sie dann gründlich ab, um

Korrosion und andere Auswirkungen zu vermeiden.

9 Das Innere der Uhr enthält eine geringe Menge Feuchtigkeit, die zu Beschlag

innen auf dem Deckglas führen kann, wenn die Außenluft kälter als die

Innentemperatur der Uhr ist. Wenn der Beschlag kurzzeitig ist, werden keine

Schäden in der Uhr verursacht, aber wenn der Zustand länger anhält oder

falls Wasser in die Uhr eindringt, wenden Sie sich an das Geschäft in dem die

Uhr gekauft wurde und ignorieren Sie das Problem nicht.

(2) Stöße

1 Tragen Sie die Uhr nicht bei harten sportlichen Aktivitäten;

bei relativ sanften sportlichen Aktivitäten wie Golf usw. kann

die Uhr aber getragen werden.

Vermeiden Sie starke Stöße, wie z. B. Herunterfallen auf den Fußboden.

(3) Magnetismus

1 Wenn die Uhr längere Zeit starkem Magnetismus ausgesetzt

wird, werden die einzelnen Teile magnetisiert, wodurch Störungen

verursacht werden können. Bitte lassen Sie Vorsicht walten.

2 Wenn die Uhr Magnetismus ausgesetzt wird, kann sie zeitweilig vor- oder

nachgehen, aber wenn sie nicht mehr dem Magnetismus ausgesetzt ist,

geht sie wieder mit ihrer ursprünglichen Genauigkeit. Stellen Sie in einem

solchen Fall die Uhr auf die richtige Zeit.

(4) Vibration

Wenn die Uhr starken Vibrationen ausgesetzt ist, wie z.

B. beim Fahren auf einem Motorrad oder bei Verwendung

eines Presslufthammers oder einer Motorsäge, kann sie

zeitweilig nachgehen.

(5) Temperatur

In Umgebungen unter oder über Normaltemperaturen (5°C - 35°C) kann

die Uhr Fehlfunktionen aufweisen und stoppen.

ACHTUNG

Tragen Sie die Armbanduhr nicht an Orten mit sehr hohen Temperature,

wie etwa in einer Sauna. Die Uhr kann sehr heiß werden und

Hautverbrennungen verursachen.

(6) Chemikalien, Gase usw.

Bei Kontakt mit Gasen, Quecksilber, Chemikalien (Verdünnungsmittel, Benzin,

Lösungsmittel, Reinigungsmittel mit solchen Bestandteilen, Klebstoffe, Farben,

Medikamente, Parfüme, Kosmetika usw.) usw. ist äußerste Vorsicht erforderlich.

Solcher Kontakt kann Verfärbung des Uhrgehäuses, des Armbands bzw. des

Zifferblatts verursachen. Es kann auch zu Verfärbung, Verformung oder

Beschädigung der verschiedenen auf Harz basierenden Bestandteile kommen.

ACHTUNG

Versuchen Sie nicht diese Uhr auseinanderzubauen oder zu modifizieren.

WARNUNG

Legen Sie den Armbandstift und andere kleine Teile außer Reichweite

kleiner Kinder ab.

Falls kleine Teile verschluckt werden, suchen Sie sofort einen Arzt auf.

(8) Allergische Reaktionen

ACHTUNG

Falls Sie einen Hautausschlag bekommen oder Ihre Haut durch Berührung

mit der Uhr oder dem Armband gereizt wird, nehmen Sie die Uhr sofort ab

und suchen einen Arzt auf.

(9) Über „Fluoreszierende stoffe“

Einige Modelle verfügen über leuchtende Zeiger bzw. Ziffernblatt.

Das Leuchten entsteht durch eine fluoreszierende Sicherheitsfarbe, die

Sonnenlicht und Kunstlicht speichert, ohne den Einsatz von radioaktivem

Mate-rial, und gibt dieses Licht in dunkler Umgebung ab. Da die Farbe

das gespeicherte Licht allmählich abgibt, wird das Leuchten mit der Zeit

immer dunkler. Die Intensität und Dauer der Lichtabgabe hängt von

verschiedenen Faktoren bei der Lichtspeicherung ab, wie der Form des

Glases, der Dicke der Farbe, der Helligkeit der Umgebung, der Entfernung

der Uhr zur Lichtquelle und der Lichtaufnahme. Bitte beachten Sie, dass

bei einer ungenügenden Lichtspeicherung die Uhr nur schwach oder nur

für kurze Zeit leuchtet.

) Wasserbeständiges Armband

Einige Modelle verwenden Leder- und Nylonarmbänder, die besonders

behandelt wurden, um die Aufnahme von Ausdünstungen und Wasser

zu verhindern. Der wasserbeständige Effekt dieses Armbands kann

allerdings abhängig von Art und Dauer der Verwendung verloren gehen.

 IDENTIFIZIEREN DER KALIBER-NUMMER

Prüfen Sie die Kaliber-Nummer entsprechend der Modellnummer Ihrer Uhr

oder dem Gehäusecode auf der Gehäuserückseite der Uhr.

1. Suchen nach der 10-stelligen Modellnummer

Prüfen Sie die 10-stellige Modellnummer auf der der Uhr beiliegenden

Garantiekarte. Sie können die Nummer auch auf dem Produktaufkleber auf

der Uhr prüfen. Die zweite und dritte Stelle gibt die Kaliber-Nummer Ihrer

Uhr an.

Beispiel: Wenn die Modellnummer „ FX01002B “ ist, ist die Kaliber-Nummer „FX“.

2. Suchen nach dem Gehäusecode

Suchen Sie den Gehäusecode auf der Gehäuserückseite der Uhr.

A: Umfasst der Gehäusecode 6 Ziffern, zeigen die ersten zwei Ziffern die

Kalibernummer an.

B: Umfasst der Gehäusecode 8 oder 9 Ziffern, zeigen die ersten drei

Ziffern die Modellnummer an. Die der Modellnummer entsprechende

Kalibernummer können Sie der Zuordnungstabelle entnehmen.

 AUTOMATISCHER AUFZIEHMECHANISMUS

(1) Dies ist eine mechanische Uhr mit automatischem Aufzug.

(2) Die Hauptfeder wird durch die natürliche Bewegung Ihres

Armes beim Tragen der Uhr am Handgelenk aufgezogen.

(3) Wenn Ihre Uhr stehenbleibt, so schwenken Sie die Uhr

mindestens zehnmal hin und her, um die Bewegung des

Sekundenzeigers zu starten. Nach Beginn der Bewegung

stellen Sie Datum und Zeit ein.

(4) Diese Uhr läuft etwa 40 Stunden, wenn sie voll

aufgezogen ist. Wenn die Uhr nicht ausreichend aufgezogen ist, kann sie

ihre Ganggenauigkeit verlieren. Wir empfehlen, dass Sie die Uhr täglich

mindestens acht Stunden tragen, um die Genauigkeit der Uhr zu erhalten.

 MODELLE MIT VERSCHRAUBBARER KRONE

Abhängig vom Modell müssen Sie die Krone erst losschrauben, bevor Sie sie

herausziehen können (Modell mit verschraubbarer Krone).

Verfahren Sie bei diesem Uhrentyp wie folgt:

(1) Vor dem Einstellen von Datum und Zeit drehen Sie die Krone nach links, um

die Verschraubung zu lösen.

(2) Drehen Sie die Krone nach dem Einstellen von Datum und Uhrzeit unter

Druck nach innen nach rechts bis zum Anschlag. Hierdurch wird die Krone

sicher verschraubt.

Drehen Sie dann die Krone wieder im

Achten Sie beim Einstellen der Zeit darauf, dass Vormittag/Nachmittag

Die letzten zwei Ziffern eines Schaltjahres werden in rot dargestellt.

Am unteren Ziffernblattrand wird der Kalender mit den Tagen des ausgewählten

Monats an ihren entsprechenden Stellen angezeigt.

◆ VERWENDUNG DER DUALZEITFUNKTION [FE(46P)]

Mit dem drehbaren Ring und dem 24-Stunden-Zeiger können Sie die Zeit in

zwei Zeitzonen gleichzeitig ablesen, d.h. die lokale Ortszeit und die Zeit für eine

andere Stadt.

(1) Stellen Sie zuerst sicher, dass die Uhr die korrekte lokale Ortszeit anzeigt.

(2) Stellen Sie den Zeitunterschied für die gewünschte Stadt fest. (Beziehen Sie

sich auf die Tabelle der Städte mit der gleichen Zeit.)

(3) Wenn der Zeitunterschied negativ ist, so drehen Sie den drehbaren Ring

um die Anzahl der Stunden im Uhrzeigersinn. Wenn der Zeitunterschied

positiv ist, so drehen Sie den Ring um die Anzahl der Stunden gegen den

Uhrzeigersinn.

(4) Der 24-Stunden-Zeiger zeigt dann die Uhrzeit der gewünschten Stadt auf

dem drehbaren Ring an.

Beispiel: Wenn Sie in Japan sind und die Zeit in London wissen wollen

London liegt zeitlich 9 Stunden hinter Japan. Drehen Sie deshalb den

drehbaren Ring um 9 Stunden im Uhrzeigersinn. Die von den Zeigern der

Uhr angezeigten Stunden und Minuten zeigen die Zeit in Japan an. Die vom

24-Stunden-Zeiger auf dem drehbaren Ring angezeigte Zahl zeigt die Zeit in

London an. (Zeit in Japan: 10:09 Uhr, Zeit in London: 1:09 Uhr)

Beispiel: Wenn Sie in London sind und die Zeit in Japan wissen wollen

Japan liegt zeitlich 9 Stunden vor London. Drehen Sie deshalb den drehbaren

Ring um 9 Stunden gegen den Uhrzeigersinn. Die von den Zeigern der Uhr

angezeigten Stunden und Minuten zeigen die Zeit in London an. Die vom

24-Stunden-Zeiger auf dem drehbaren Ring angezeigte Zahl zeigt die Zeit in

Durch Drehen der drehbaren Anzeigescheibe und Einstellen eines

Stadtnamens auf eine Zeit einstellen, können Sie die Uhrzeit der

Beispiel: Es ist jetzt 22 Uhr in Tokyo.

Am Beginn eines jeden Monats ist es erforderlich, den Wochentag zu

korrigieren.

Passen Sie am ersten Tag eines jeden Monats die Wochentagsanzeige an.

Folgen Sie dem nachstehenden Verfahren.

Sie kann aber auch, abhängig von der Jahreszeit, nicht südlicher des

nördlichen Wendekreises angewendet werden.

• Sie müssen zur Verwendung dieser Funktion die Position der Sonne

bestimmen können.

• Zur Verwendung dieser Funktion muss außerdem die Uhr auf die

örtliche Zeit eingestellt werden.

• Bei dieser Funktion handelt es sich um einen einfachen Kompass, der

sich nicht zur genauen Bestimmung der Himmelsrichtung eignet.

Beispiel: Bestimmung des Ostens um 9 Uhr morgens (siehe Abbildung 1)

(1) Richten Sie den Stundenzeiger in Richtung Sonne.

(2) Die Position in der Mitte zwischen dem Stundenzeiger (9 Uhr) und 12 Uhr

zeigt südwärts. Richten Sie deshalb die S-Anzeige auf dem Richtungsring

mit der 10:30-Uhr-Position des Ziffernblatts aus.

(3) In diesem Fall zeigt die E-Anzeige (7:30 Uhr) des Richtungsrings in

Richtung Osten.

◆ EINSTELLEN DES MONATLICHEN KALENDERS

Einige Modelle sind mit einem Kalender ausgestattet, bei dem das Datum auf

einem inneren Ring oder der äußeren Lünette des Gehäuses angezeigt wird.

Der monatliche Kalender kann genutzt werden, indem an der Krone gedreht

wird, um den rotierenden Ring im Uhrgehäuse an dem auf dem Ziffernblatt

aufgedruckten Wochentag auszurichten. Monats auf den korrekten Tag auf

der Skala zeigt.

Drehen Sie die Krone, sodass der erste Tag des Monats auf den richtigen

Wochentag für diesen Monat zeigt.

* Achten Sie bei der Einstellung darauf, dass das Monatsende (31. usw.)

nicht in den Bereich kommt, in dem keine Wochentage aufgedruckt sind (3

Uhr bis 4 Uhr), da Sie sonst nicht den Wochentag ablesen können.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass manche Modelle mit

einer drehbaren Anzeige-Lünette ausgestattet

Drehen Sie die Lünette indem Sie die

Markierung

auf den Minutenzeiger

weisen lassen. Während verschiedene

Zeiten durchlaufen werden, können Sie die

vergangene Zeit am Abstand zwischen dem

Minutenzeiger und den Angaben auf der

Anzeige-Lünette messen. Sie können auch

die Markierung

auf eine gewünschte Zeit

einstellen, um Sie daran zu erinnern, wieviel

Zeit bis zu einer wichtigen Verabredung

verbleibt.

Sie können die Lünette nicht rückwärts

drehen, da sie mit einem Schutzmechanismus

gegen Fehlbedienung durch Gewalteinwirkung oder Erschütterungen

ausgestattet ist. Die Angaben auf der Lünette können auch zum leichten

Ablesen der aktuellen Uhrzeit helfen.

* Je nach dem Design sind der Schutzmechanismus gegen Rückwärtsdrehen

und der 1-Minuten-„Klick“-Ton bei bestimmten Modellen nicht vorhanden.

ATTENTION

4 Laissez toujours la couronne poussée (en position normale) lors de

l’utilisation de la montre. Si la couronne est du type à verrouillage par

vissage, vérifiez si elle est bien visée.

N’utilisez pas la couronne sous l’eau ou lorsque la montre est humide. De l’eau

risquerait de pénétrer à l’intérieur de la montre et de rendre nulle l’étanchéité.

6 Si votre montre n’est pas résistante à l’eau, faites attention aux

éclaboussures (quand vous vous lavez le visage, quand il pleut, etc) et

à l’humidité. Si la montre devient mouillée avec de l’eau ou de l’humidité,

essuyez-la avec un chiffon sec et doux.

7 Même avec une montre résistante à l’eau pour l’utilisation de tous les jours,

évitez les jets d’eau puissant directement sur la montre. Une pression d’eau

dépassant la limite pourrait être appliquée et rendre nulle l’étanchéité.

8 Avec une montre résistante à l’eau pour l’utilisation de tous les jours,

rincez l’eau de mer du boîtier après une exposition à l’eau de mer, puis

essuyez complètement pour éviter la corrosion ou tout autre effet.

9 L’intérieur de la montre contient une certaine quantité d’humidité qui peut

causer de la buée sur la vitre quand l’air extérieur est plus froid que la

température interne de la montre. Si la buée est temporaire, elle ne cause

aucun dégât à l’intérieur de la montre, mais si elle reste longtemps ou si

de l’eau entre dans la montre, consultez le magasin où vous avez acheté

la montre et ne laissez pas ce problème sans solution.

(2) Chocs

1 Assurez-vous de ne pas porter la montre quand vous

pratiquez des sports alors que des sports léger tels que le

golf, par exemple, n’auront aucune influence sur la montre.

2 Evitez les chocs violents, par exemple en faisant tomber la

montre.

(3) Magnétisme

1 Si la montre est laissée telle quelle à un emplacement à champ

magnétique puissant pendant une période prolongée, ses pièces se

magnétiseront, ce qui se traduira par une défaillance. Faites attention.

La montre peut temporairement avancer ou retarder quand elle est exposée

au magnétisme, mais elle refonctionnera avec sa précision d’origine quand

elle sera éloignée du champ magnétique. Dans ce cas, corrigez l’heure.

(4) Vibrations

La montre risque de perdre de sa pécision si elle est

soumise à de fortes vibrations, par exemple en roulant

à moto, ou en utilisant des marteaux perforateurs, des

tronçonneuses, etc.

(5) Température

Dans un environnement où la température est inférieure ou supérieure

à la normale (5°C à -35°C), la montre risque de ne pas fonctionner

correctement et de s’arrêter.

ATTENTION

N’utilisez pas la montre à haute température, comme dans un sauna. La

montre pourrait chauffer et entraîner des brûlures.

(6) Produits chimiques, gaz, etc.

Faites extrêmement attention à ne pas mettre la montre en contact avec

des gaz, du mercure, des produits chimiques (diluant, essence, divers

solvants, détergents renfermant ces composants, colles, peintures,

médicaments, parfums, cosmétiques, etc.), etc. De tels contacts risquent

de décolorer le boîtier de montre, le bracelet et le verre de montre. Il

risque également de se produire une décoloration, une déformation et des

dommages des différentes pièces de la montre à base de résine.

(9) À propos de la “lumière luminescente”

Certains modéles possédent un éclairage luminescent sur les aiguilles et le cadran.

L’éclairage luminescent provient d’une peinture sans risque qui stocke

la lumière d u soleil et la lumière artificielle sans utiliser aucun matériau

radioactif, puis qui émet cette lumière dans un environnement sombre. Au

fur et à mesure que la peinture se décharge de la lumière stockée, l’éclairage

s’assombrit. La quantité de lumière émise et la durée pendant laquelle cette

lumière est émise dépend de divers facteurs relatifs au stockage de la lumière

tel que la forme de la vitre, l’épaisseur de la peinture, le niveau de luminosité

de l’environnement, la distance de la montre à la source de lumière et le niveau

d’absorption de la lumière. Veuillez noter que quand une quantité insuffisante

d’énergie lumineuse est stockee, la montre peut émettre uniquement une

faible lumière ou émettre une lumière pendant un court moment.

(10) Bracelet de montre étanche

Certains modèles possèdent un bracelet en cuir ou en nylon ayant subi

un traitement spécial pour les rendre étanches à la transpiration et à

l’absorption d’eau. Veuillez noter toutefois que cet effet d’étanchéité risque

d’être perdu selon les durées et les conditions d’utilisation.

Vérifiez le numéro de calibre en vous référant au numéro de modèle de votre

montre ou au code du boîtier au dos du boîtier de la montre.

Vérifiez le numéro de modèle à 10 chiffres sur la garantie fournie avec la

montre. Vous pouvez aussi voir le numéro sur l’étiquette de produit mise sur

la montre. Le deuxième et le troisième chiffre indiquent le numéro de calibre

de votre montre.

Exemple: Si le numéro de modèle est “ FX01002B ”, le numéro de calibre est “FX”.

2. Recherche par code de boîtier

Consultez le code de boîtier au dos du boîtier de votre montre.

A: Si le code de boîtier comporte 6 chiffres, les deux premiers chiffres

indiquent le numéro de calibre.

Si le code de boîtier comporte 8 ou 9 chiffres, les trois premiers chiffres

indiquent le numéro de modèle. Recherchez dans le tableau de

correspondance le numéro de calibre correspondant au numéro de modèle.

 MÉCANISME DE REMONTAGE AUTOMATIQUE

(1) Cette montre est une montre mécanique à remontage

automatique.

(2) Le ressort se remonte sous l’effet des mouvements naturels

du bras lorsque vous portez la montre au poignet.

(3) Si la montre s’arrête, secouez-la au moins dix fois de suite de

façon que la trotteuse recommence à bouger. Quand elle a

recommencé à bouger, ajustez la date et l’heure.

(4) La montre fonctionnera environ 40 heures quand elle est

remontée à fond. Si elle n’est pas suffisamment remontée,

elle risque de se mettre à retarder. Pour conserver la précision de la montre,

il est recommandé de la porter au moins 8 heures par jour.

 MODÈLES À COURONNE DE TYPE VISSANT

Selon le modèle, il est possible que vous ne puissiez pas tirer sur la couronne

sans la dévisser (modèle à couronne de type vissant).

Utilisez ce type de montre comme indiqué ci-dessous:

(1) Avant d’ajuster la date et l’heure, commencez par tourner la couronne vers la

gauche pour déverrouiller le mécanisme.

(2) Une fois la date et l’heure ajustées, tournez la couronne vers la droite tout

en appuyant dessus, jusqu’à ce qu’elle cesse de tourner. Ceci permettra de

serrer la vis à fond.

Pour régler l’heure, vérifiez que AM/PM (matin/après-midi) est

correctement réglé.

Exemple: Changement de l’affichage SUN AM (dimanche matin) en MON

AM (lundi matin)

(1) L’affichage passe de SUN AM (dimanche matin) à SUN PM (dimanche

après-midi) lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton à déclic.

◆ UTILISATION DE LA FONCTION D’HEURE DOUBLE [FE(46P)]

Vous pouvez lire simultanément l’heure de deux zones horaires différentes, l’une

pour la ville où vous vous trouvez, et l’autre pour toute autre ville du monde, en

tournant la bague échelle rotative et l’aiguille de 24 heures.

(1) Commencez par vous assurer que la montre affiche l’heure locale correcte.

(2) Calculez la différence horaire de la ville dont vous vous voulez connaître

l’heure. (Voyez le tableau des villes ayant la même heure.)

(3) Si la différence horaire est un chiffre négatif, tournez la bague échelle de ce

nombre d’heures dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre. Si la différence

horaire est un chiffre positif, tournez la bague échelle de ce nombre d’heures

dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre.

(4) Le chiffre qu’indique l’aiguille de 24 heures sur la bague échelle est l’heure de

la ville sélectionnée.

Exemple: Si vous voulez savoir quelle heure il est à Londres lorsque vous êtes au Japon

Londres est en retard de 9 heures sur le Japon. Par conséquent, tournez la bague échelle

rotative de 9 heures dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre. Les heures et les minutes

indiquées par les aiguilles de la montre représentent l’heure du Japon, tandis que les

chiffres qu’indique l’aiguille de 24 heures sur la bague échelle représentent l’heure de

Londres. (Heure au Japon: 10 heures 09, heure à Londres: 1 heure 09)

Exemple: Si vous voulez savoir quelle heure il est au Japon lorsque vous êtes à Londres

Le Japon est en avance de 9 heures sur Londres. Par conséquent, tournez

la bague échelle rotative de 9 heures dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une

montre. Les heures et les minutes indiquées par les aiguilles de la montre

représentent l’heure de Londres, tandis que les chiffres qu’indique l’aiguille de 24

heures sur la bague échelle représentent l’heure du Japon (Heure de Londres: 10

heures 09, heure du Japon: 19 heures 09)

Si vous tournez la bague indicatrice rotative et que vous ajustez les noms de

ville avec les heures, vous obtiendrez instantanément les heures respectives

Exemple : Il est actuellement 10h00 du soir à Tokyo.

(1) Dans le système horaire sur 24 heures, 10h00 du soir correspond à

l'aligner avec la position 10:30 sur le cadran.

(3) Dans ce cas, la direction dans laquelle E pointe (7:30) sur la bague

rotative d'orientation indique l'est.

◆ AJUSTEMENT DU CALENDRIER MENSUEL

Certains modèles possèdent une fonction de calendrier qui utilise la bague

intérieure ou la lunette sur l’extérieur du boîtier pour indiquer la date.

Le calendrier mensuel s’utilise en tournant la couronne pour régler la bague

rotative à l’intérieur du boîtier et en l’alignant avec les jours de la semaine qui

sont imprimés sur le cadran.

Tournez la couronne pour aligner le premier jour du mois avec le jour de la

semaine correspondant.

* Veuillez noter à propos de la plage d’ajustement du premier jour que

lorsque la fin du mois (31, etc.) arrive à la section où plus aucun jour n’est

imprimé sur le cadran (à la position de 3-4 heures), vous finirez par ne plus

avoir de jour de la semaine pour l’ajustement.

 UTILISATION DE LA LUNETTE INDICATRICE ROTATIVE

Veuillez noter que certains modèles possèdent

une lunette indicatrice rotative qui doit être

utilisée correctement.

l’heure passe, vous pouvez mesure la durée

écoulée à partir de la distance entre l’aiguille

des minutes et les chiffres sur la lunette

indicatrice rotative. Vous pouvez aussi régler

sur l’heure souhaitée pour vous

rappeler combien de temps il reste encore

avant un rendez-vous important.

Vous ne pouvez pas tourner la lunette dans le

sens inverse car elle possède un mécanisme

de protection empêchant toute mauvaise

opération en force ou à la suite d’un choc. Les chiffres sur la lunette peuvent

aussi vous aider à lire l’heure actuelle facilement.

* En fonction de la conception de la montre, il se peut que le mécanisme

empêchant la rotation en sens inverse et le son mécanique à 1 minute sur

la bague indicatrice rotative n’existe pas sur certains modèles.

* Si consiglia di utilizzare l'orologio correttamente, seguendo le modalità di impiego sopra menzionate

dopo aver controllato le precauzioni sulla resistenza all'acqua indicate sul quadrante e sul retro

della cassa.

1 I comuni orologi impermeabili resistenti sino alla profondità di 30 metri (3

bar) possono essere usati a contatto con l’acqua, ad esempio quando ci si

lava il viso, ma non dovrebbero essere impiegati in immersione.

2 I comuni orologi impermeabili rinforzati per profondità sino a 50 metri (5

bar) possono essere usati durante il nuoto ma non dovrebbero essere

impiegati in alcun tipo d’immersione, compresa quella in apnea.

3 I comuni orologi impermeabili rinforzati per profondità sino a 100-200 metri

(10-20 bar) possono essere usati durante le immersioni in apnea ma non

dovrebbero essere impiegati durante quelle con respiratore e ossigeno o

o in saturazione d’elio.

Mantenere sempre la corona premuta (in posizione normale) quando si utilizza

l’orologio. Se la corona è del tipo a vite ci si deve accertare che sia ben serrata.

5 Non utilizzare la corona con l’orologio immerso in acqua o bagnato.

L’acqua potrebbe penetrare all’interno dell’orologio e comprometterne la

resistenza all’acqua.

6 Se il modello non è impermeabile, fare attenzione agli spruzzi d’acqua

(durante le abluzioni, la pioggia, ecc.) e al sudore. Se l’orologio si bagna

con acqua o sudore, asciugarlo con un panno soffi ce e asciutto.

7 Anche con orologi resistenti all’acqua per uso normale, evitare forti getti

o fl ussi diretti d’acqua verso l’orologio. Potrebbe essere applicata una

pressione dell’acqua superiore al limite, che potrebbe comprometterne la

resistenza all’acqua.

Con orologi resistenti all’acqua per uso normale, asciugare con cura

l’acqua di mare dalla cassa dopo l’esposizione, per evitare corrosione e

altri effetti indesiderati.

L’interno dell’orologio contiene una certa quantità di umidità, che potrebbe

provocare formazione di condensa all’interno del vetro, quando l’aria

esterna diventa più fredda della temperatura interna dell’orologio. Se la

formazione di condensa è temporanea, non provoca danni all’interno

dell’orologio, altrimenti, se prolungata o se all’interno dell’orologio penetra

acqua, rivolgersi al rivenditore per risolvere il problema quanto prima

possibile.

(2) Urti

1 Si raccomanda di togliere l’orologio dal polso durante la

pratica di sport pesanti, mentre la pratica di quelli leggeri, ad

esempio il golf, non v’influisce negativamente.

2 Evitare urti violenti, come il lasciare cadere l’orologio per

terra.

(3) Magnetismo

1 Qualora l’orologio venga lasciato nelle vicinanze di un forte magnetismo

per un tempo più o meno lungo, le parti componenti possono rimanere

magnetizzate fino al punto di causare malfunzionamenti. È opportuno

prestare la dovuta attenzione.

2 L’orologio può temporaneamente andare avanti o indietro mentre rimane

esposto al magnetismo, ma quando viene allontanato dal magnetismo

esso riprende il suo funzionamento con la precisione originale. In questo

caso correggere l’ora.

(4) Vibrazioni

L’orologio può risultare meno preciso se esposto a forti

vibrazioni, come in caso di guida di motociclette, o per

l’uso di martelli pneumatici, seghe a catena, ecc.

(5) Temperatura

Alle temperature inferiori o superiori a quelle normali (5-35°C) l’orologio

potrebbe non funzionare correttamente o addirittura arrestarsi.

Non utilizzare l’orologio alle alte temperature, come ad esempio nelle

saune. Potrebbe infatti riscaldarsi eccessivamente a causare ustioni.

(6) Prodotti chimici, gas, ecc.

Prestare la massima cautela in caso di contatto con gas, mercurio,

prodotti chimici (diluenti, benzina, solventi vari, detergenti contenenti

tali componenti, prodotti adesivi, vernici, medicine, profumi, cosmetici) e

così via. In questi casi si potrebbe verificare lo scolorimento della cassa

dell’orologio, del cinturino e del quadrante. Si potrebbe anche verificare lo

scolorimento, la deformazione e il danneggiamento di vari componenti a

base di resina.

(7) Informazioni sugli accessori

Non tentare di disassembrare o modificare l’orologio.

Conservare perni e altri elementi di piccole dimensioni fuori dalla portata

dei bambini.

n caso di ingestione accidentale di piccoli pezzi, chiamareimmediatamente

un medico.

(8) Reazioni allergiche

In caso di arrossamento cutaneo, o se la pelle dovesse presentare

irritazioni anomale causate dal contatto con l’orologio o con il cinturino,

toglierlo immediatamente e consultare un medico.

(9) Vernice luminescente

Le lancette e il quadrante di alcuni modelli sono ricoperti da una vernice

luminescente.

Tale vernice, di tipo sicuro poiché non radioattiva, immagazzina la luce del sole

e quella artificiale restituendola quindi al buio. Via via che libera la luce l’intensità

luminosa si riduce gradualmente. La quantità di luce emessa e la durata dell’emissione

dipendono dai vari fattori in atto nel periodo d’immagazzinamento, tra i quali la forma

del vetro, lo spessore della vernice stessa, il livello di luminosità circostante, la

distanza dell’orologio dalla sorgente luminosa e il livello di assorbimento. Va infine

notato che quando la quantità di energia luminosa immagazzinata è insufficiente

l’orologio ne potrebbe emettere poca, oppure per un tempo limitato.

(10) Cinturino impermeabile

Alcuni modelli impiegano cinturini di pelle e nylon sottoposti a uno speciale

trattamento per renderli impermeabili e resistenti alla traspirazione. La

durata dell’effetto di resistenza all’acqua dipende dal periodo e dalle

condizioni di utilizzo del cinturino.

 COME IDENTIFICARE IL CALIBRO DELL’OROLOGIO

Il calibro va ricavato dal nome di modello dell’orologio o dal codice impresso

sul fondello della cassa.

1. Individuazione dal nome del modello a 10 cifre

Il nome del modello a 10 cifre è ricavabile dalla scheda di garanzia fornita con

l’orologio. È altresì ricavabile dall’etichetta che appare sull’orologio stesso. La

seconda e la terza cifra ne indicano, appunto, il calibro.

Esempio: se il nome del modello è “

FX01002B

” il calibro è “FX”.

2. Individuazione dal codice della cassa

Il codice della cassa è riportato sul fondello dell’orologio.

A: Se il codice della cassa è formato da sei cifre, le prime due indicano il

calibro.

B: Se il codice della cassa è formato da 8 o 9 cifre, le prime tre indicano il

numero di movimento. Cercare il calibro in base al numero di movimento

facendo riferimento alla tabella corrispondente.

La precisione giornaliera dichiarata è valida alle seguenti condizioni:

• Dopo 24 ore trascorse alla normale temperatura ambiente, con una carica

completa della molla principale e con il quadrante rivolto verso l’alto.

• Per via delle caratteristiche dell’orologio a carica automatica, in base alle

seguenti condizioni la precisione dell’ora indicata potrebbe deviare rispetto

alla “precisione giornaliera” dichiarata: durata quotidiana d’uso dell’orologio

e sua posizione, movimento del braccio e condizione di avvolgimento della

molla motrice.

Le caratteristiche tecniche dell’orologio sono soggette a modifiche migliorative

senza preavviso.

* Evitare di impostare la data durante i periodi di tempo indicati sopra nella

 MECCANISMO DI CARICAMENTO AUTOMATICO

(1) Questo è un orologio meccanico a caricamento

automatico.

(2) La molla principale viene caricata dai movimenti naturali

del braccio mentre si porta l’orologio sul polso.

(3) Se l’orologio si ferma, far oscillare l’orologio avanti indietro

dieci o più volte, per avviare il movimento della seconda

lancetta. Dopo l’avvio del movimento si può impostare la

data e l’ora.

(4) Con un caricamento completo, l’orologio funziona per circa 40 ore. Se

non ha abbastanza carica, l’orologio potrebbe ritardare. Per mantenere

la precisione dell’orologio si raccomanda d’indossarlo almeno 8 ore al

giorno.

 MODELLO DI TIPO CON CORONA AD AVVITAMENTO

A seconda del modello, potrebbe non essere possibile estrarre la corona

senzasvitarla (Modello di tipo con corona ad avvitamento).

Azionare questo tipo di orologio nel modo descritto di seguito:

(1) Prima di impostare data e ora, ruotare la corona verso sinistra per

allentarel’avvitamento.

(2) Dopo aver impostato data e ora, ruotare la corona verso destra, mentre la

si tiene premuta, fino a quando smette di ruotare. In questo modo la vite

sarà avvitata saldamente.

(1) Estrarre la corona fino al secondo

gradino. La lancetta dei secondi non si

ferma.

(2) Ruotare la corona in senso orario e

impostarla sull’ora corrente.

Poiché questo orologio è dotato di

calendario, accertarsi di impostare l’ora

a.m. o p.m. senza errori.

Quando la data cambia, passa a [ore

dodici, mezzanotte].

Per regolare l’ora, per prima cosa

portare indietro la lancetta leggermente

prima dell’ora corrente, quindi

muoverla in avanti in corrispondenza

dell’ora corrente.

(3) Premere la corona per riportarla in

la data su [1st day], sul primo giorno del mese successivo.

di correzione per il giorno della settimana.

(2) Prima di tutto, ruotare la corona e impostare il

giorno della settimana.

Ruotare di nuovo la corona in senso orario fino

al giorno successivo della settimana.

In seguito, ruotare la corona in senso

antiorario e riportare indietro le lancette a

(1) Il display passa da SUN (domenica) AM a SUN (domenica) PM quando si

preme il tasto di scatto.

(2) Premere nuovamente il tasto di scatto per passare da SUN (domenica)

PM a MON (lunedì) AM.

* Modelli di orologio con tasto di scatto non azionabile con le dita (ad esempio,

gli orologi con “tasto nascosto”)

Per regolare il giorno della settimana agire sul tasto di scatto con un oggetto

sottile e appuntito, come un cacciavite di precisione, delle pinzette o uno spillo

metallico.

La disposizione dei giorni della settimana e la posizione della finestra possono

variare a seconda del modello.

◆ COME USARE LA FUNZIONE DI DOPPIO ORARIO [FE(46P)]

Utilizzando la lunetta rotante e la lancetta delle 24 ore, è possibile leggere

nello stesso tempo l’orario di due fusi orari diversi, un orario relativo alla città

in cui ci si trova e l’altro a un’altra città.

(1) Prima di tutto, accertarsi che l’orologio indichi l’ora esatta del luogo in cui

ci si trova.

(2) Controllare la differenza oraria della città della quale si desidera conoscere

l’ora. (Vedere la tabella delle città che hanno lo stesso orario).

(3) Se la differenza oraria è un numero negativo, ruotare la lunetta in senso

orario per il numero di ore. Se la differenza oraria è un numero positivo,

ruotare la lunetta in senso antiorario per il numero di ore.

(4) Il numero indicato sulla lunetta, al quale punta la lancetta delle 24 ore,

corrisponde all’orario della città selezionata.

Esempio:

Se si desidera conoscere l’ora di Londra mentre ci si trova in Giappone.

L’ora di Londra è di 9 ore indietro rispetto a quella giapponese. Pertanto,

ruotare la lunetta rotante in senso orario di 9 ore. Le ore e i minuti indicati

dalle lancette dell’orologio corrispondono all’ora giapponese. Il numero

indicato sulla lunetta, al quale punta la lancetta delle 24 ore, corrisponde

all’ora di Londra. (Ora giapponese: 10:09 a.m.; ora di Londra: 01:09 a.m.).

Esempio:

Se si desidera conoscere l’ora giapponese mentre ci si trova a Londra.

L’ora giapponese è 9 ore avanti rispetto all’ora di Londra. Pertanto, ruotare

la lunetta rotante in senso antiorario di 9 ore. Le ore e i minuti indicati dalle

lancette dell’orologio corrispondono all’ora di Londra. Il numero indicato

sulla lunetta, al quale punta la lancetta delle 24 ore, corrisponde all’ora

giapponese. (Ora di Londra: 10:09 a.m.; ora giapponese 07:09 p.m.).

 COME UTILIZZARE LA GHIERA DELL’ORA INTERNAZIONALE

ROTANTE

Se si ruota l’anello indicatore rotante e si impostano i nomi e gli orari delle

città, è possibile leggere subito le ore delle diverse città.

Esempio: a Tokyo sono attualmente le 22:00.

(1) Nel sistema a.m./p.m., le 22:00 corrispondono alle 10:00 p.m.

(2) Impostare TOKYO sulla ghiera

dell’ora internazionale alla

posizione delle 22:00 nella

scala del ciclo orario di 24 ore.

* Esistono diversi tipi di ghiera

dell’ora internazionale;

ad esempio può essere

presente la corona per l’ora

internazionale oppure una

ghiera girevole.

(3) La posizione di CHICAGO

sulla ghiera dell’ora internazione riporta l’ora di Chicago.

* La posizione indicata da ciascuna scala della ghiera dell’ora

internazionale, inoltre, rappresenta l’ora in quel determinato paese.

Questo metodo consente di visualizzare l’ora in tutto il mondo

contemporaneamente, utilizzando le scale della ghiera dell’ora

internazionale e leggendo il quadrante.

◆ IMPOSTAZIONE DEL CALENDARIO MENSILE

Alcuni modelli sono dotati di una funzione calendario che utilizza un anello

interno o una lunetta sull’esterno della cassa per indicare la data.

È possibile utilizzare il calendario mensile ruotando la corona per regolare

l’anello rotante che si trova all’interno della cassa dell’orologio e allinearlo al

giorno della settimana stampato sul quadrante.

Ruotare la corona per allineare il primo giorno del mese sul giorno della

settimana appropriato.

* Fare attenzione all’intervallo di regolazione per il primo giorno, perché alla

fine del mese (31, ecc.) è inclusa una sezione in cui non ci sono giorni

della settimana stampati sul quadrante (sul lato delle 3-4) e quindi ci si può

trovare senza nessun giorno della settimana da impostare.

 COME UTILIZZARE LA LUNETTA ROTANTE CON INDICATORE

Si prega di notare che alcuni modelli sono

provvisti di una lunette rotante con indicatore

rotante.

Ruotare la lunette sino a far coincidere il simbolo

con la lancetta dei minuti. È così possibile

misurare il tempo trascorso osservando la

distanza angolare tra la lancetta dei minuti e le

cifre riportate sulla lunetta rotante. Ruotando lo

Essendo provvista di un meccanismo di

ADVERTENCIA

1 Un reloj de uso diario, con estanqueidad para 30 m (3 bar), puede usarse

para el lavado diario de la cara, etc., pero no podrá sumergirse en agua.

2 Un reloj con estanqueidad reforzada para uso diario I 50 m (5 bar) puede

utilizarse para practicar natación, etc., pero no puede utilizarse para

practicar buceo, inclusive buceo libre.

3 Un reloj con estanqueidad reforzada de uso diario II, 100 m o 200 m

(10 ó 20 bar) puede utilizarse para practicar buceo libre, pero no puede

utilizarse para practicar buceo de profundidad, con tanques de oxígeno, ni

buceo de saturación que utilice gas helio, etc.

PRECAUCIÓN

4 Mantenga siempre la corona hacia adentro (en la posición normal)

mientras lleva puesto el reloj. Si la corona es del tipo de bloqueo por

rosca, compruebe que esté firmemente enroscada.

5 No opere la corona bajo el agua o cuando el reloj esté mojado. El agua

podría entrar en el interior del reloj y dañar la resistencia al agua.

6 Si su reloj no es resistente al agua, cuídese de las salpicaduras de agua

(durante el lavado de cara, lluvia, etc.) y del sudor. Si el reloj llegara a

mojarse con agua o sudor, séquelo con un paño suave y seco.

7 Incluso con un reloj resistente al agua para el uso diario, evite poner el

reloj debajo de un chorro fuerte de agua. Podría aplicarse una presión de

agua por encima del límite, y dañar la resistencia al agua.

8 Con un reloj resistente al agua para el uso diario, limpie la caja si ha estado

expuesto al agua del mar, y a continuación séquelo por completo para evitar

la oxidación y otros efectos perjudiciales.

9 El interior del reloj contiene una cierta cantidad de humedad, la cual

podría causar el empañamiento sobre el lado interior del cristal cuando

la temperatura del aire exterior esté por debajo de la temperatura interna

del reloj. Si el empañamiento es temporal, no causará ningún daño en el

interior del reloj, pero si es prolongado, o si penetrara agua en el reloj, no

deje este problema sin tratar, póngase en contacto con el vendedor.

(2) Golpes

1 Asegúrese de quitarse el reloj cuando participe en deportes

extenuantes, aunque el uso del reloj para un deporte ligero

como el golf, etc., no tendrá efectos perjudiciales.

2 Evite los impactos fuertes, como dejarlo caer al suelo.

(3) Magnetismo

1 Si deja el reloj en un lugar cerca de un campo magnético fuerte durante

largo tiempo, los componentes del mismo podrán magnetizarse y

ocasionar una avería. Tenga cuidado.

El reloj se podrá adelantar o atrasar temporalmente cuando sea expuesto a

un campo magnético. El reloj se adelantará o atrasará temporalmente cuando

sea expuesto a un campo magnético, pero volverá a funcionar con la precisión

original cuando lo retire del magnetismo. En este caso, corrija la hora.

(4) Vibraciones

El reloj puede retrasarse temporalmente si se expone

a vibraciones fuertes, como al conducir una moto o al

utilizar martillos mecánicos, sierras de cadena, etc.

(5) Temperaturas

En ambientes por debajo o por encima de la gama de temperaturas

normales (5°C a 35°C), el reloj puede funcionar defectuosamente y

detenerse.

PRECAUCIÓN

No utilice el reloj a altas temperaturas, por ejemplo, en un sauna. El reloj

podría calentarse y causarle quemaduras.

(6) Sustancias químicas, gases, etc.

Preste suma atención al entrar en contacto con gases, mercurio, sustancias

químicas (diluyente, gasolina, diversos disolventes, detergentes que contengan

tales componentes, adhesivos, pinturas, medicinas, perfumes, cosméticos,

etc.), y otros productos similares. El contacto con tales sustancias podrá

ocasionar la decoloración de la caja del reloj, la correa y la esfera. También

podrán decolorarse, deformarse y dañarse varios componentes fabricados a

base de resinas.

(7) Acerca de los accesorios

PRECAUCIÓN

No intente desmontar o modificar el reloj.

ADVERTENCIA

Guarde el broche de la pulsera/correa y otras piezas pequeñas fuera del

alcance de los niños.

Si se ingiere accidentalmente alguna pieza pequeña, consulte

inmediatamente a un médico.

(8) Reacciones alérgicas

PRECAUCIÓN

Si ha experimentado irritación en la piel o ha sufrido una irritación

anormal a causa del contacto con el reloj o la correa, deje de usar el reloj

inmediatamente y consulte a un médico.

(9) Sobre la “luz luminosa”

En algunos modelos se iluminan las manecillas y la esfera.

La luz luminosa es una pintura segura que almacena luz solar y luz artificial, sin

hacer uso de ningún material radioactivo, y que emite luz en lugares oscuros.

La luminosidad se desvanece gradualmente, a medida que la pintura descarga

la luz almacenada. La cantidad de luz emitida y su duración dependen de

varios factores vinculados al almacenamiento de la luz, por ejemplo la forma

del cristal, el espesor de la pintura, el nivel de brillo circundante, la distancia

entre el reloj y la fuente de luz, y el nivel de absorción de luz. Por favor tenga

en cuenta que cuando no se almacene suficiente energía lumínica, el reloj

podría emitir una luz débil o emitirla sólo por un tiempo breve.

Correa resistente al agua

Algunos modelos emplean correas de cuero y nilón que han recibido un

tratamiento especial para resistir la transpiración y la absorción de agua.

Tenga en cuenta que el efecto de resistencia al agua de esta correa se

puede perder, dependiendo de los periodos y condiciones de uso.

 CÓMO IDENTIFICAR EL NÚMERO DE CALIBRE

Compruebe el número de calibre consultando el número de modelo del reloj

o el código de caja en la parte posterior de la caja del reloj.

1. Búaqueda por número de modelo de 10 dígitos

Compruebe el número de modelo de 10 dígitos en la garantía suministrada

con su reloj. Asimismo el número podrá encontrarse en la etiqueta del

producto que viene con el reloj. Los dígitos segundo y tercero indican el

número de calibre de su reloj.

Ejemplo: Si el número de modelo es “

FX01002B ”, el número de calibre

será “FX”.

2. Búsqueda por código de la caja

Vea el código de la caja en la parte posterior de la caja de su reloj.

A: Si el código de la caja es de 6 dígitos, los dos primeros dígitos indican el

número de calibre.

B: Si el código de la caja es de 8 o 9 dígitos, los tres primeros dígitos indican

el número de movimiento. Busque el número del calibre correspondiente

al número de movimiento en la tabla de correspondencias.

 MECANISMO DE CUERDA AUTOMÁTICO

(1) Este es un reloj mecánico con mecanismo de cuerda

automático.

(2) Lo que le da cuerda al muelle principal son los

movimientos naturales del brazo mientras lleva el reloj en

su muñeca.

(3) De pararse su reloj, agítelo en vaivén unas diez veces o

más, hasta que la manecilla de los segundos se empiece

a mover. Después que se empiece a mover, ajuste la

fecha y la hora.

(4) Con toda la cuerda, este reloj funcionará durante aproximadamente

40 horas. Si le falta cuerda al reloj, podría empezar a retrasarse. Para

mantener la precisión del reloj, recomendamos usarlo por lo menos, 8

horas diarias.

 MODELO CON CORONA DEL TIPO DE BLOQUEO POR ROSCA

Dependiendo del modelo, es posible que no pueda extraer la corona sin

desenroscarla (modelo con corona del tipo de bloqueo por rosca).

Si su reloj es de este tipo, proceda de la siguiente manera:

(1) Cuando desee ajustar la fecha y la hora, primero gire la corona hacia la

izquierda para aflojar la rosca.

(2) Después de ajustar la fecha y la hora, gire la corona hacia la derecha

mientras la presiona hacia adentro, hasta que deje de girar. La rosca

quedará firmemente apretada.

Mediante el bisel giratorio y la manecilla de 24 horas, podrá saber simultáneamente la

hora de dos lugares diferentes, es decir, del sitio de residencia y de cualquier otro lugar.

Es posible saber simultáneamente la hora de otras ciudades del mundo

Esta función sólo puede usarse en el hemisferio norte. Dependiendo

de la estación, es posible que no pueda usarla en regiones situadas en

latitudes al sur del Trópico de Cáncer.

• Para usar esta función, debe confirmar la posición del sol.

• Para usar esta función, debe poner el reloj en hora según la hora local

del lugar donde se halle.

• Esta función sólo hace de brújula, pero no puede usarse para

determinar una posición verdadera.

Ejemplo: Si quiere saber dónde está el Este a las 9 de la mañana (ver figura

1):

(1) Coloque la manecilla de las horas apuntando al sol.

(2) La posición a medio camino entre la manecilla de las horas (nueve en

punto) y las doce en punto apunta al Sur, así que gire la S del anillo

giratorio de orientación hasta alinearlo con las 10:30.

(3) En este caso, el Este está indicado por la E (7:30) en el anillo giratorio de

orientación.

◆ AJUSTE DEL CALENDARIO MENSUAL

Algunos modelos incluyen una función de calendario que utiliza un anillo

interior o bisel en el exterior de la caja para indicar la fecha.

El calendario mensual se puede utilizar girando la corona para ajustar el anillo

giratorio en el interior de la caja del reloj y alinearlo con el día de la semana

que hay impreso en la esfera.

Gire la corona para alinear el primer día del mes al día de la semana

apropiado.

* Cuando efectúe el ajuste del día primero, tenga en cuenta que si el fin de

mes (día 31, etc.) coincide con una parte del dial sin ningún día impreso

(lado de las 3 - 4 horas), no se podrá efectuar correctamente el ajuste del

 CÓMO USAR EL BISEL INDICADOR GIRATORIO

Por favor tenga en cuenta que algunos modelos

están equipados con un bisel giratorio, el cual

deberá ser utilizado correctamente.

Gire el bisel dirigiendo la marca

hacia la

manecilla de minutos. Después de un cierto

tiempo, podrá medir el tiempo transcurrido

a partir de la distancia entre la manecilla de

minutos y las cifras del bisel giratorio. Asimismo

podrá ajustar la marca

a una hora dada,

como un recordatorio del tiempo que le falta

para un compromiso.

El bisel no puede girarse en sentido inverso

ya que está provisto de un mecanismo de

protección para prevenir el mal funcionamiento

debido a operaciones forzadas o golpes. Las

cifras del bisel podrán asistirle además a leer

fácilmente la hora actual.

* Dependiendo del diseño, el mecanismo anti-inversión y el sonido de

chasquido de 1 minuto en el aro indicador giratorio no se emplea en

algunos modelos.

1 Часы с водонепроницаемостью для повседневного использования 30 м (3 бар)

могут использоваться во время умывания и т. п., но не могут использоваться в

условиях, при которых они будут погружаться в воду.

2 Часы с усиленной водонепроницаемостью для повседневного использования

класса I 50 м (5 бар) могут использоваться во время плавания и т. п., но не могут

использоваться во время ныряния или подводного плавания.

3 Часы с усиленной водонепроницаемостью для повседневного использования

класса II 100 м или 200 м (10 или 20 бар) могут использоваться во время

ныряния или подводного плавания, но не могут использоваться во время

подводного плавания с кислородным баллоном или выполнения водолазных

работ с автономными дыхательными аппаратами на гелии.

4 При эксплуатации часов головка должна находиться в утопленном

(нормальном) положении. Если головка относится к типу завинчиваю¬щихся,

то она должна быть плотно завинчена.

5 Не используйте головку под водой или если на часах имеется влага. Вода

6 Если Ваши часы не являются водонепроницаемыми, то не допускайте

попадания на них водяных брызг (во время умывания, в дождливую погоду и

т. д.), а также запотевания. При попадании на часы воды или при запотевании

удалите влагу с помощью сухой мягкой ткани.

7 Даже если Ваши часы, предназначенные для повседневного использо¬вания,

обладают водонепроницаемостью, не допускайте воздействия на них сильной

струи воды. При превышении допустимого уровня давления воды может быть

нарушена герметичность часов.

8 При попадании на Ваши водонепроницаемые часы, предназначенные для

повседневного использования, морской воды, стряхните воду и протрите

корпус насухо, чтобы не допустить возникновения коррозии или иных

негативных последствий.

9 Внутри корпуса часов содержится небольшое количество влаги. Поэтому

когда температура окружающего воздуха ниже температуры воздуха внутри

корпуса часов, на внутренней поверхности стекла может образовываться

запотевание. Если запотевание носит временный характер, то это не наносит

вреда часам. Однако если запотевание остается на стекле продолжительное

время или если в часы попала вода, проконсультируйтесь по месту

приобретения часов и не остав¬ляйте эту проблему без внимания.

(2) Ударопрочность

1 Снимайте часы во время занятий энергичными видами

спорта, однако, занятие такими видами спорта, как гольф и т.

д., не окажет негативного воздействия на состояние часов.

2 Избегайте сильного удара типа падения часов на пол.

(3) Воздействие магнитных полей

1 Запрещается подвергать часы воздействию сильных

магнитных полей в течение длительного периода времени, поскольку

компоненты часов могут намагнититься, что приведёт к нарушению работы

часов. Соблюдайте осторожность.

2 Под воздействием магнитного поля часы могут временно спешить или

отставать.Точность показаний часов будет восстановлена, если устранить

воздействие магнитного поля на часы. В таком случае повторно установите

время.

(4) Вибрация

Часы могут потерять точность, если будут подвержены

сильной вибрации, например, вызываемой поездкой на

мотоцикле, использованием отбойного молотка, цепной

пилы и т. д.

(5) Температура

Часы могут идти неправильно или остановиться при температурах ниже или

выше нормального диапазона (5°С – 35°С).

Не пользуйтесь часами при высокой температуре (например, в сауне). Часы

могут нагреваться и вызывать ожоги.

(6) Химические вещества, газы и т.п.

Следует соблюдать максимальную осторожность при контакте с газами,

ртутью, химическими веществами (разбавителем для краски, бензином,

различными растворителями, моющими средствами, содержащими такие

вещества, клеями, красками, лекарственными препаратами, парфюмерией,

косметикой и пр.) и т.п. Эти вещества могут изменить цвет корпуса часов,

браслета/ремешка и циферблата. Возможны также изменение цвета,

деформация и повреждение полимерных компонентов.

(8) Аллергические реакции

(9) Люминесцентное покрытие

На стрелках и кольце некоторых моделей имеется люминесцентное

покрытие.

Оно выполнено из безопасной нерадиоактивной краски, накапливающей

солнечный и искусственный свет и отдающей его в темноте. Отдавая

накопленный свет, покрытие постепенно становится более тусклым.

Количество отдаваемого света и время свечения зависят от различных

факторов: формы стекла, толщины слоя краски, уровня яркости окружающей

среды, расстояния от часов до источника света и степени поглощения света.

Помните, что если накоплено немного света, часы будут светиться слабо

или недолго.

(10) Водонепроницаемый браслет

B некоторых моделях используются кожаные и нейлоновые ремешки,

подвергнутые специальной обработке для защиты от потоотделения и

воздействия воды. Свойство водонепроницаемости данного браслета может

быть потеряно в зависимости от периода и условий эксплуатации.

Проверьте номер калибра Ваших часов по номеру модели часов или коду

корпуса на задней крышке корпуса часов.

1. Поиск по 10-значному номеру модели

Проверьте 10-значный номер модели на гарантийном талоне, прилагаемом

в комплекте поставки часов. Вы также можете найти номер на этикетке

изделия, прикрепленной к часам. Второй и третий знак номера указывают

номер калибра Ваших часов.

Пример:

Если номер модели представляет собой “ FX01002B ”, то номер

калибра — “FX”.

2. Поиск по коду корпуса

Найдите код корпуса на задней крышке корпуса Ваших часов.

A: Если код корпуса шестизначный, первые две цифры соответствуют

Заявленная суточная точность хода обеспечивается при соблюдении

следующих условий:

• После 24 часов пребывания в условиях комнатной температуры, с

полностью заведенной пружиной и циферблатом, обращенным вверх.

• Технические особенности часов с автоматическим ходом могут стать

причиной отклонения суточной точности хода от заявленного значения; на

это влияют следующие факторы: продолжительность ежедневного ношения

часов, положение часов, движение руки и условия завода пружины.

Технические характеристики могут быть изменены без предварительного

уведомления в связи с модернизацией изделия.

ВНИМАНИЕ

* Не рекомендуется корректировать дату в промежутках, указанных

в “Примечании 1” выше, поскольку в это время происходит смена

даты. При установке даты в этот промежуток времени она может не

смениться вовремя, либо может возникнуть сбой в работе часов. При

установке даты обязательно переведите часовую и минутную стрелку

на другой промежуток времени.

(1) Данные часы - механические, они оснащены функцией

автоматического завода.

(2) При ношении часов на запястье пружина заводится от

естественных движений руки.

(3) Если часы остановились, встряхните их не менее

десяти раз, чтобы запустить секундную стрелку. После

того, как стрелка будет запущена, установите дату и

время.

(4) C полным заводом часы будут идти приблизительно 40 часов. Если

часы заведены недостаточно, точность хода может отличаться от

заявленной. Для обеспечения точности хода часы рекомендуется

носить не менее 8 часов в день.

 МОДЕЛИ С ЗАВИНЧИВАЮЩЕЙСЯ ГОЛОВКОЙ

B некоторых моделях Вы не сможете вытянуть головку, не выкрутив ее

(модели с завинчивающейся головкой).

Для эксплуатации часов данного типа:

(1) Перед установкой даты и времени поверните головку против часовой

Вы можете видеть время для двух различных часовых поясов - одно для

того города, в котором Вы находитесь, и другое время для любого другого

города - с помощью вращающегося кольца и 24-часовой стрелки.

(1) Сначала убедитесь в том, что часы показывают правильное время.

(2) Узнайте разность во времени с городом, время которого Вы хотите

знать. (См. Сравнительную таблицу стандартного времени.)

(3) Если разница во времени является отрицательной величиной, поверните

кольцо по часовой стрелке на соответствующее количество часов. Если

разница во времени является положительной величиной, поверните

кольцо против часовой стрелки на соответствующее количество часов.

(4) Число на кольце, на которое указывает 24-часовая стрелка, показывает

время в выбранном Вами городе.

Пример: Если Вы хотите узнать время в Лондоне, находясь в Японии, Вы

должны знать, что в Лондоне на 9 часов меньше, чем в Японии. Поэтому

поверните вращающееся кольцо по часовой стрелке на 9 часов. Часовая

и минутная стрелки на часах показывают японское время. Число на

кольце, на которое указывает 24-часовая стрелка - это время в Лондоне.

(Японское время: 10:09, лондонское время: 01:09)

Пример: Если Вы хотите узнать время в Японии, находясь в Лондоне,

Вы должны знать, что в Японии на 9 часов больше, чем в Лондоне.

Боли Вы повернете вращающееся кольцо индикатора и совместите

названия городов с показаниями времени, Вы сможете сразу видеть

значение времени в соответствующих городах.

Пример: сейчас в Токио 10:00 вечера.

(1) По 24-часовой шкале это 22:00.

(2) Установите TOKYO на

кольце всемирного времени

в положение 22 часа по

24-часовой шкале.

* Кольцо всемирного времени

бывает разных типов -

например, с головкой для

установки всемирного

времени или с вращающимся

кольцом.

(3) Положение CHICAGO на

кольце всемирного времени

показывает время в Чикаго.

* Положение, соответствующее каждой отметке на кольце всемирного

времени, показывает время в конкретных странах.

Используя данный метод, вы можете одновременно узнавать время

в разных странах мира, используя шкалу на кольце всемирного

времени и читая показания циферблата.

широтах южнее тропика Рака.

• Для использования этой функции нужно наверняка знать

местоположение солнца.

• Для использования этой функции на часах должно быть

установлено местное время.

• Это функция очень приблизительна и не может использоваться

для определения точного направления.

Пример. Вы хотите определить направление на восток в девять утра.

См. рис. 1.

(1) Направьте часовую стрелку на солнце.

(2) Точка посередине между часовой стрелкой (девять часов) и

двенадцатью часами указывает на юг, поэтому поверните кольцо так,

чтобы буква S на кольце оказалась в положении 10:30 на часах.

(3) Буква E (7:30) на кольце будет указывать на восток.

В некоторых моделях имеется функция календаря, когда для указания

даты используется внутреннее кольцо или кольцо на внешней части

корпуса.

Для использования календаря на месяц установите вращающееся

кольцо внутри корпуса часов и совместите его с днем недели,

отпечатанным на шкале, вращая головку.

Поверните головку, чтобы совместить первый день месяца с

соответствующим днем недели.

* Устанавливая первый день месяца, обратите внимание на то, что дни

недели в конце данного месяца не будут показаны, если последние

числа месяца (31-е и т.д.) совмещены с сектором циферблата, на

который не нанесены дни недели (сторона 3 - 4 часов).

* Расположение головки внутреннего кольца и индикатора даты в

разных моделях могут различаться.

Обратите внимание, что некоторые

модели оснащены вращающимся безелем

индикатора, которое следует использовать

надлежащим образом.

Поверните безеле таким образом,

чтобы совместить метку



с минутной

стрелкой. При прохождении определенного

времени Вы можете измерить истекшее

время по расстоянию между минутной

стрелкой и цифрами на вращающемся

безеле индикатора. Вы также можете

установить метку



на желаемое время,

чтобы напоминать себе, сколько времени

остается до условленного времени.

Безеле не может поворачиваться в

противоположном направлении, поскольку

оно оснащено защитным механизмом, предназначенным для защиты от

ошибочной операции в результате приложения силы или удара. Цифры

на вращающемся безеле также могут упрощать считывание текущего

времени.

* В зависимости от конструкции защита от поворота в обратном

направлении и 1-минутный “щелчок” на некоторых моделях

отсутствует.
