Fundamental safety warnings

The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,

sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been

given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for

their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Never immerse the appliance in water.

This is an household appliance only. It is not intended to be used in: sta kitchen areas in

shops, oces and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and

Danger! This is an electrical appliance, it is therefore

important to respect the following safety warnings:

enabling the appliance to be unplugged when necessary.

switch (A23) on the side of the appliance in the 0 position.

Turn it o using the main switch (A23), unplug from the

Important! Do not grasp the coee maker when it is

out of the cabinet.

Do not rest recipients containing liquids or inammable or cor-

rosive materials on top of the appliance. Place the accessories

required to make the coee (the measure for example) in the

special holder.

Do not rest large objects which could obstruct movement or un-

stable objects on the appliance.

Important! Do not use the appliance when extracted.

Make sure the appliance is inactive before extracting it.

The only exception is adjusting the coee mill which must be

done with the machine out (see the section “Adjusting the coee

mill”).

N.B.: Use original or manufacturer recommended acces-

sories and spare parts only.

Designated use

This appliance is designed and made to prepare coee and heat

drinks.

All other use is considered improper.

This appliance is not suitable for commercial use.

The manufacturer is not liable for damage deriving from impro-

per use of the appliance.

This appliance can be installed over a built-in oven if the latter

is tted with a cooling fan at the rear (maximum microwave

power: 3 kW).

PRELIMINARY CHECKS

Controls after transport

After removing the packaging, make sure the product is comple-

te and undamaged and that all accessories are present.

Do not use the appliance if it is visibly damaged.

Installing the appliance

Important!

• Installationmustbeperformedbyaqualiedprofessional

in compliance with legislation in force in the country of in-

stallation (see Built-in installation).

• Thepackingelements(plasticbags,polystyrenefoam,etc.)

should be kept out of reach of children.

• Donotinstalltheapplianceinroomswherethetemperatu-

re may drop to 0°C or lower.

• Customisethewaterhardnessassoonaspossiblefollowing

the instructions in the “Setting water hardness” section.

Connecting the appliance

Danger! Check that the mains power supply voltage

corresponds to the value indicated on the rating plate on the

bottom of the appliance.

Connect the appliance to an eciently earthed and correctly in-

stalled socket with a minimum current rating of 10A only.

If the power socket does not match the plug on the appliance,

have the socket replaced with a suitable type by a qualied pro-

fessional.

To comply with safety directives, an omnipolar switch with a mi-

nimum contact distance of 3 mm must be installed.

Do not use multiple sockets or extensions.

Important! Safety cutout devices must be included

in the mains power supply in compliance with the installation

regulations in the country concerned.

Disposing of the appliance

The appliance must not be disposed of with household

waste, but taken to an authorised waste separation

and recycling centre.

USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE

FIRST TIME

• Coeehasbeenusedtofactorytesttheapplianceanditis

therefore completely normal for there to be traces of coee

in the mill.

• Customisewaterhardnessassoonaspossiblefollowingthe

instructions in the “Setting water hardness” section.

1. Connect the appliance to the mains supply. Press the ON/

stand-by button (A7).

Set the required language.

2. To set the language, use the icons (B7 and B8) to

choose the required language (g. 2). When the message

“PRESS OK TO CHOOSE ENGLISH” is displayed, press the OK

icon (B9) (g. 3) for 3 seconds until “ENGLISH INSTALLED”

is displayed. If you set the wrong language, follow the

instructions in the “Setting the language” section. If your

language is not available, select one from those displayed.

The instructions refer to the English version. Then follow

the instructions displayed:

3. After 5 seconds, the appliance displays “FILL TANK”. Extract

the water tank (g. 4), rinse and ll with fresh water wi-

thout exceeding the MAX line.

Replace and push as far as it will go.

4. Place a cup under the cappuccino maker (g. 5).

The appliance displays: “HOT WATER PRESS OK”.

Press the OK icon (B9) (g. 3) and after a few seconds a little

water comes out of the spout.

5. The machine now displays “TURNING OFF... PLEASE WAIT”

and goes o.

6. Extract the appliance by pulling it out using the handles

(g. 6). Open the lid and ll the container with coee be-

ans, then close the lid and push the appliance in.

The coee maker is now ready for normal use.

Important! Never introduce pre-ground coee, freeze

dried coee, caramelised beans or anything else which could

damage the appliance.

N.B.: When using the appliance for the rst time, you

need to make 4-5 cups of coee and 4-5 cappuccinos before the

appliance gives satisfactory results.

N.B.: Each time you turn the coee maker on by the ON/

OFF switch (A23), it performs a SELF-DIAGNOSIS cycle and then

goes o. To turn it on again, press the ON/OFF button (A7) (g. 1)

TURNING ON AND HEATING UP

Each time the appliance is turned on, it performs an automatic

preheat and rinse cycle which cannot be interrupted.

The appliance is ready for use only after completion of this cycle.

Danger of burns! During rinsing, a little hot water

ows from the coee spouts.

To turn the appliance on, press the ON/OFF/stand-by button (A7)

(g. 1). The message “HEATING UP... PLEASE WAIT” is displayed.

When heating is complete, the message changes to “RINSING”;

The appliance is at temperature when the message “MEDIUM

CUP NORMAL TASTE” is displayed.

If no icon is pressed within about 2 minutes, the time (if set, see

the “Setting the clock” section) is displayed.

If the time has not been set, the appliance displays the last fun-

ctions set.

When any icon is pressed, “MEDIUM CUP NORMAL TASTE” is di-

splayed again. The appliance is ready to make coee again.

MAKING COFFEE USING COFFEE

BEANS

1. The appliance is preset to make coee with a normal taste.

You can also choose coee with an extra-mild, mild, strong

or extra-strong taste. There is also a pre-ground coee op-

tion. To choose the required taste, press the icon (B4)

(g. 7) a number of times. The required coee taste is di-

splayed.

2. Place 1 cup under the spouts to make 1 coee (g. 9) or 2

cups for 2 coees (g. 8). Lower the spouts as near as possi-

ble to the cup for a creamier coee (g. 10).

3. Press the icon (B5) (g. 11) to select the type of coee:

espresso, small cup, medium cup, large cup, mug.

Now press the icon (B10) (g. 12) if you want to make a

coee and the icon (B11) (g. 13) if you want to make

2 coees.

The appliance now grinds the beans and starts delivering

the coee into the cup. Once the set amount of coee has

been delivered, the machine stops delivery automatically

and expels the exhausted waste coee into the waste cof-

fee container.

4. After a few seconds, the appliance is ready for use again.

5. To turn the appliance o, press the ON/OFF/stand-by but-

ton (A7) (g. 1).

(Before going o, the appliance performs an automatic rin-

se cycle. Take care to avoid scalds).

NOTE 1: If the coee is delivered a drop at a time or not at all, see

the “Adjusting the coee mill” section.

NOTE 2: If the coee is delivered too fast and the cream is not

satisfactory, see the “Adjusting the coee mill” section.

NOTE 3: Tips for a hotter coee:

• Proceedasdescribedinthesection“Changingandsetting

menu parameters”, “Rinse” function.

• Unlesspreheated,donotuseexcessivelythickcupsasthey

will absorb too much heat.

• Preheatthecupsbyrinsingthemwithhotwater.

NOTE 4: Coee delivery can be interrupted at any moment by

re-pressing the previously selected icon which remains lit during

the operation.

NOTE 5: As soon as delivery is nished, to increase the quantity of

coee in the cup, just keep pressing the previously selected icon

within 3 seconds after delivery has nished.

NOTE 6: When the appliance displays “FILL TANK”, ll the tank

with water or the appliance will not deliver coee.

(It is normal for there to be a little water left in the tank).

NOTE 7: After about 14 single (or 7 double) coees, the appliance

displays “EMPTY WASTE COFFEE CONTAINER”.

Even if not full, the empty waste coee container message is di-

splayed 72 hours after the rst coee has been delivered. For the

72 hours to be calculated correctly, the machine must never be

turned o with the main switch in the 0 position.

To clean, open the service door on the front of the appliance

by pulling the spout (g. 16), extract the drip tray (g. 17) and

clean.

When cleaning, always extract the drip tray completely.

Important! When extracting the drip tray, the waste

coee container MUST always be emptied.

If this is not done, the machine may be clogged.

NOTE 8: Never extract the water tank while the machine is de-

livering coee.

If it is removed, it will not be possible to make the coee and

the appliance will display “GROUND TOO FINE ADJUST MILL AND

PRESS OK” and then “FILL TANK”. Check the level of water in the

tank and replace in the appliance.

To turn the appliance back on, press the OK icon (B9). “HOT WA-

TER PRESS OK” is displayed.

Press the OK icon (B9) within a few seconds and deliver water

from the cappuccino maker for about 30 seconds. When delivery

stops, the basic modes are displayed again.

N.B.: The coee maker may request the operation to be

repeated a number of times until the air is completely eliminated

from the hydraulic circuit.

N.B.: if this operation is not performed correctly or if

the machine is turned o, the basic modes may be displayed,

although the problem is in fact still present.

CHANGING THE QUANTITY OF COF

FEE IN THE CUP

The appliance is set by default to automatically make the fol-

lowing types of coee:

• espresso

• smallcup

• mediumcup

• largecup

• mug

To change the quantity, proceed as follows:

• Pressthe icon (B2) to enter the menu (g. 15). Press

the icons (B7) and (B8) (g. 2) until “PROGRAM

COFFEE” is displayed.

• PresstheOKicon(B9).

• Selectthetypeofcoeeyouwanttochangebypressing

the icons (B7) and (B8).

• PresstheOK icon(B9)toconrmthetypeof coeeyou

want to make.

• Usethe icons (B7) and (B8) to change the quantity

of coee. The progress bar shows the quantity of coee se-

lected.

• PresstheOKicon(B9)againtoconrm(orthe icon

(B6) to cancel the operation).

• Pressthe icon (B6) (g. 18) twice to exit the menu.

The appliance is now reprogrammed with the new settings and

is ready.

ADJUSTING THE COFFEE MILL

The coee mill is preset in the factory and should not require

adjusting. However, if after making the rst few coees you nd

that delivery is either too fast or too slow (a drop at a time), this

can be corrected by adjusting the grinding adjustment knob (g.

14).

Important! The grinding adjustment knob must only

be turned when the coee mill is in operation.

For slower delivery and creamier coee, turn one click anti-

clockwise (ner pre-ground coee).

For faster delivery (not a drop at a time), turn one click clockwise

(coarser pre-ground coee).

PREPARING COFFEE WITH PRE

GROUND COFFEE INSTEAD OF BE

ANS

• Pressthe icon (B4) (g. 7) and select the pre-ground

coee function.

• Extract the machine by pulling it outwards using the

handles

• Liftthecentrallid,placeonemeasureofpre-groundcoee

in the funnel (g. 19), push the appliance in then proceed

as described in the section “Making coee using coee be-

ans”. N.B.: You can make just one coee at a time by pres-

sing the icon (B10) (g. 12).

• Afterusingthemachinewithpre-groundcoee,togoback

to making coee using beans, deactivate the pre-ground

coee function by pressing the icon (B4) (g. 7).

NOTE 1: Never introduce pre-ground coee when the machine is

o or it could spread through the inside of the appliance.

NOTE 2: Never add more than 1 measure, otherwise the applian-

ce will not make the coee.

NOTE 3: Use the measure provided only.

NOTE 4: Introduce only pre-ground coee for espresso coee

machines into the funnel.

NOTE 5: If more than one measure of pre-ground coee is used

and the funnel clogs, push the coee down with a knife (g. 21)

then remove and clean the brewing unit and machine as descri-

bed in the “Cleaning the brewing unit” section.

DELIVERING HOT WATER

• Alwaysmakesuretheapplianceisready.

• Turnthecappuccinomakeroutwardsandplaceacontainer

underneath (g. 5).

• Pressthe icon (B13) (g. 20).

Press the OK icon (B9) again and hot water is delivered

from the cappuccino maker into the container underneath.

You should not deliver hot water for more than 2 minutes at

a time.

To interrupt, press the icon (B13) or the icon (B6).

The appliance stops delivery once the set quantity is rea-

ched.

CHANGING THE QUANTITY OF HOT

WATER

The machine is set by default to automatically delivery 200 ml

of hot water.

To change these quantities, proceed as follows:

• Placeacontainerunderneaththecappuccinomaker(g.3).

• Pressthe icon (B2) to enter the menu (g. 15) or press

the icons (B7) and (B8) (g. 2) until “PROGRAM

HOT WATER” is displayed.

• PresstheOKicon(B9)toconrm.

• Select the required quantity of water by pressing the

icons (B7) and (B8). The progress bar shows the

quantity of water selected.

• PresstheOKicon(B9)toconrm(orthe icon (B6) to

cancel the operation.

• Pressthe icon (B6) (g. 18) twice to exit the menu.

• Theapplianceisnowreprogrammedwiththenewsettings

and is ready.

MAKING CAPPUCCINO USING THE

STEAM FUNCTION

• Turnthecappuccinomakertowardsthecentre(g.5).

• Takeacontainer,llitwithabout100gofmilkforeach

cappuccino to be made and place it under the cappuccino

maker. In choosing the size of the recipient, bear in mind

that the milk doubles or triples in volume.

You are recommended to use partially skimmed milk at

refrigerator temperature.

• Immersethecappuccinomakerinthemilkcontainer(g.

23), taking care not to immerse it for more than half its

length.

• Pressthe icon (B12) (g. 22) (take care to avoid scalds).

“STEAM PRESS OK” is displayed.

• PresstheOKicon(B9).

• Tointerruptsteamdelivery,pressthe icon (B12) again

or the icon (B6).

Steam comes out of the cappuccino maker. For a creamier

froth, immerse the cappuccino maker in the milk and move

the container with slow upward movements. You should

not deliver steam for more than 2 minutes at a time.

• Whentherequiredfrothisreached,interruptsteamdelive-

ry by pressing the icon (B12) again or the icon

(B6).

• Makethecoeeasdescribedaboveusingsucientlylarge

cups, then ll them with the frothed milk prepared pre-

viously.

IMPORTANT: always clean the cappuccino system immedia-

tely after use. Proceed as follows:

• Pressthe icon (B12) and then press the OK icon (B9) to

discharge a small amount of steam for a few seconds. This

empties the steam spout of all traces of milk.

IMPORTANT: to ensure the hygiene of the appliance, you

are recommended to carry out this procedure each time

you make cappuccino to avoid stale milk remaining in the

circuit.

• Waitforthecappuccinomakertocooldown,thenholding

the cappuccino maker lever rmly in one hand, unscrew

the cappuccino maker itself with the other, turning it an-

ticlockwise and removing it downwards (g. 24).

• Remove the cappuccino maker nozzle by pulling it

downwards.

• Washthecappuccinomakerandnozzlethoroughlyinhot

water.

• Makesurethetwoholesshowningure25arenotblo-

cked. If necessary, clean with a pin.

• Replacethenozzlebyinsertingitupwardsintothecappuc-

cino maker.

• Replacethecappuccinomakerbypushingitupwardsand

rotating it anticlockwise.

CLEANING

Cleaning the coee maker

Do not use solvents or abrasive detergents to clean the coee

maker. A soft damp cloth will suce.

Never wash any of the components of the coee maker in the

dishwasher.

The following parts of the machine must be cleaned regularly:

• Wastecoeecontainer(A4).

• Driptray(A14).

• Watertank(A12).

• Coee(A13),hotwater(A11)andcappuccinomakerspouts

(A10).

• Pre-groundcoeefunnel(A21).

• Insideofthemachine,accessibleafteropeningtheservice

door (A2).

• Brewingunit(A5).

Cleaning the waste coee container

When “EMPTY WASTE COFFEE CONTAINER” is displayed, the wa-

ste coee container must be emptied and cleaned.

To clean:

• opentheservicedooronthefrontoftheappliance(g.16),

extract the drip tray (g. 17) and clean.

• Cleanthewastecoeecontainerthoroughly.

Important! When extracting the drip tray, the waste

coee container must always be emptied.

Cleaning the drip tray

Important! If the drip tray is not emptied the water

might overow.

This could damage the machine.

The drip tray is tted with a level indicator (red) showing the

level of water it contains (g. 27).

Before the indicator protrudes from the cup tray, the drip tray

must be emptied and cleaned.

To remove the tray:

1. Open the service door (g. 16).

2. Remove the drip tray and the waste coee container (g.

17).

3. Clean the drip tray and waste coee container (A4).

4. 4. Replace the drip tray and waste coee container (A4).

5. Close the service door.

Cleaning the water tank

1. Clean the water tank (A12) regularly (about once a month)

with a damp cloth and a little mild washing up liquid.

2. Remove all traces of washing up liquid.

Cleaning the spouts

1. Clean the nozzles periodically using a sponge (g. 28).

2. Check regularly that the holes in the coee spout are not

blocked.

If necessary, remove coee deposits with a toothpick (g.

26).

Cleaning the pre-ground coee funnel

• Checkregularly(aboutonceamonth)thatthepre-ground

coee funnel is not blocked (g. 21).

Danger! Before performing any cleaning operations,

the machine must be turned o by pressing the main switch

(A23) and unplugged from the mains power supply.

Never immerse the coee maker in water.

Cleaning the inside of the coee maker

1. Check regularly (about once a week) that the inside of the

appliance is not dirty.

If necessary, remove coee deposits with a sponge.

2. Remove the residues with a vacuum cleaner (g. 29).

Cleaning the brewing unit

The brewing unit must be cleaned at least once a month.

Important! The brewing unit (A5) must not be remo-

ved when the appliance is on.

Do not use force to remove the brewing unit.

1. Make sure the machine is correctly turned o (see “Turning

the appliance o”).

2. Open the service door (g. 16).

3. Remove the drip tray and waste coee container (g. 17);

4. Press the two red release buttons inwards and at the same

time pull the brewing unit outwards (g. 30).

Important! Do not use washing up liquid to clean the

5. Soak the brewing unit in water for about 5 minutes, then

rinse.

6. After cleaning, replace the brewing unit (A5) by sliding it

onto the internal support and pin at the bottom, then push

the PUSH symbol fully in until it clicks into place.

N.B.: If the brewing unit is dicult to insert, you must

rst adapt it to the right dimensions by pressing it forcefully

from the bottom and top as shown in the gure.

7. Once inserted, make sure the two red buttons have snap-

ped out.

8. Replace the drip tray and waste coee container.

guage is displayed.

N.B.: If you choose the wrong language, you can access

Rinsing

This function enables you to obtain hotter coee.

Proceed as follows:

small cup of coee (less than 60 cc), preheat the cup by

rinsing it with hot water.

• Ifontheotherhandmorethan2/3minuteshavepassed

since the last coee was made, before requesting another

coee, you must preheat the brewing unit by rst pressing

the icon (B2) to enter the menu then the icons

(B7) and (B8) to select the “RINSING” function.

Press the OK icon (B9).

“RINSING... PLEASE CONFIRM” is displayed.

Press the OK icon (B9) again.

Deliver the water into the underlying drip tray or alterna-

tively use this water to ll (and then empty) the cup to be

used for the coee to preheat it.

Changing the length of time the appliance

remains on

The appliance is set by default to go o automatically 30 minutes

after the last coee has been made.

To change this interval (max. 120 min), proceed as follows:

• Pressthe icon (B2) to enter the menu and then the

icons (B7) and (B8) until “SHUT-OFF TIME” is displa-

yed.

• PresstheOKicon(B9)toconrm.

• Pressthe icons (B7) and (B8) to set the time after

which the appliance will go o (after 1/2 hour, 1 hour, 2

hours).

Setting the clock

coee temperature from low, medium and high.

Setting water hardness

The operating period can be extended if required, making desca-

ling less frequent by programming the machine on the basis of

the real lime content in the water used.

Proceed as follows:

• removethe“TotalHardnessTest”strip(attachedtopage2)

from its packaging then dip it fully in the water for a few

seconds,

Then remove and wait about 30 seconds (until it changes

colour and forms red squares).

• turn the appliance on by pressing the ON/OFF/stand-by

button (A7).

• Pressthe icon (B2) to enter the menu and then the

icons (B7) and (B8) until “WATER HARDNESS” is di-

splayed.

• PresstheOKicon(B9).

• Pressthe icons (B7) and (B8) until the number coin-

cides with the number of red squares on the test strip (for

example, if there are 3 red squares on the test strip, select

the message “WATER HARDNESS 3” .

The coee maker is now programmed to provide the desca-

le warning when actually necessary.

Descaling

Important! Descaler contains acids.

Respect the safety warnings provided by the manufacturer and

given on the descaler pack.

N.B.: Use the descaler recommended by the manufac-

turer only.

Use of other descalers invalidates the guarantee.

Failure to descale the appliance as described also invalidates the

guarantee.

When “PLEASE DESCALE !” is displayed, the machine requires

descaling.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Below is a list of some of the possible malfunctions.

If the problem cannot be resolved as described, contact Custo-

mer Services.

Use a type of coee for espresso coee makers.

The coee is delivered too slowly

or a drop at a time.

The coee is ground too nely. Turn the grinding adjustment knob one click

clockwise towards “7” while the coee mill is in ope-

ration (g. 11).

Continue one click at a time until coee delivery is

satisfactory.

The eect is only visible after delivering two coees.

The coee is delivered too quickly. The coee is ground too coarsely. Turn the grinding adjustment knob one click an-

ticlockwise towards “1” while the coee mill is in

operation (g. 11).

Avoid turning the grinding adjustment knob exces-

sively otherwise when you select 2 cups, the coee

may be delivered a drop at a time.

The eect is only visible after delivering two coees.

Coee does not come out of one of

the spouts.

The spouts are blocked. Clean the spouts with a toothpick (g. 23).

The coee does not come out of

the spouts, but from around the

service door (A2).

The holes in the spouts are clogged

with dry coee dust.

The coee guide (A3) inside the

If necessary, remove coee deposits with a toothpick,

ligeramente.

OPERACIONES PRELIMINARES

Control del transporte

Tras haber desembalado la cafetera, asegúrese de su integridad

y de que no falten accesorios.

No utilice el aparato si presenta desperfectos evidentes. Póngase

en contacto con la asistencia técnica.

Instalación del aparato

¡Atención!

• Un técnico cualicado deberá realizar la instalación en

cumplimiento de las normas locales en vigor (véase el pár.

“Instalación empotrada”).

• Loselementosquecomponenelembalaje(bolsasdeplásti-

co, poliéster, etc.) no deben dejarse al alcance de los niños.

• Noinstalenuncaelaparatoenambientescuyatemperatura

pueda llegar a 0°C.

• Le aconsejamos personalizar cuanto antes la dureza del

agua, para ello siga las instrucciones relativas a la “Progra-

mación de la dureza del agua”.

Conexión del aparato

¡Peligro! Asegúrese de que la tensión de la red eléctri-

ca corresponda al valor indicado en la placa de datos situada en

el fondo del aparato.

Solamente puede enchufar el aparato a un enchufe de corriente

instalado en conformidad a las normativas con una capacidad

mínima de 10A y con una toma de tierra eciente.

En caso de incompatiblidad entre el enchufe y la clavija del apa-

rato, haga sustituir el enchufe por otro adecuado por personal

cualicado.

Para cumplir las directivas en materia de seguridad, durante la

instalación se ha de utilizar un interruptor omnipolar con una

distancia mínima de 3 mm entre los contactos.

No use tomas múltiples o alargadores.

¡Atención! La red eléctrica debe prever los dispositi-

vos de desconexión de acuerdo con las normas de instalaciones

nacionales.

Eliminación del aparato

No elimine el aparato con los residuos domésticos, ha

de entregarlo a un centro de recogida selectiva ocial.

PRIMERA PUESTA EN MARCHA

DEL APARATO

• Lacafeterahasidocontroladaenlafábricautilizandocafé,

por lo que es normal encontrar restos de café en el molinillo

de café.

• Le aconsejamos personalizar cuanto antes la dureza del

agua, para ello siga el procedimiento relativo a la “Progra-

mación de la dureza del agua”.

1. Enchufe el aparato a la corriente. Presione el botón de en-

cendido/stand-by (A7).

Programe un idioma.

2. Para programar un idioma, utilice los iconos (B7 y

B8) para seleccionarlo (g. 2).

Cuando el display muestra el mensaje: “PULSAR OK PARA

INSTALAR ESPAÑOL”, mantenga presionado al menos du-

rante 3 segundos el icono OK (B9) (g. 3) hasta que aparez-

ca el mensaje “ESPAÑOL INSTALADO”.

Si se equivoca al seleccionar el idioma, siga las indicaciones

contenidas en el cap. “Elección del idioma”.

Si no encuentra el idioma que busca, seleccione uno de los

presentes en el display. Las instrucciones toman como refe-

rencia el inglés.

Siga las indicaciones mostradas en el display:

3. Después de 5 segundos, la cafetera indica “¡LLENAR DEPÓ-

SITO!”: saque el depósito (g. 4), enjuáguelo y llénelo con

agua fresca sin superar la línea MAX.

Coloque de nuevo el depósito empujándolo hasta el tope.

4. Luego coloque una taza debajo del emulsionador (g. 5).

En la cafetera aparece el mensaje “AGUA CALIENTE PULSAR

OK”. Presione el icono OK (B9) (g. 3) y, transcurridos algu-

nos segundos, saldrá un poco de agua por el erogador.

5. En la cafetera aparece el mensaje: “APAGADO ESPERE POR

FAVOR” y se apaga.

6. Saque el aparato tirando de éste hacia fuera, tenga cuidado

de utilizar las asas correspondientes (g. 6), abra la tapade-

ra y llene el contenedor con granos de café, a continuación

cierre la tapadera y empuje el aparato hacia dentro.

La cafetera está lista para utilizarla normalmente.

¡Atención! No eche nunca café pre-molido, café lio-

lizado, granos con caramelo u objetos que pudieran estropear

el aparato.

Nota Bene: Cuando utilice por primera vez el aparato,

deberá preparar 4-5 cafés y 4-5 capuchinos antes de obtener un

buen resultado.

Nota Bene: En cada encendido, al utilizar el interruptor

general ON/OFF (A23) el aparato activará una función de AUTO-

DIAGNÓSTICO y luego se apagará. Para encenderlo de nuevo,

presione el botón (A7) de encendido/stand-by (g. 1).

ENCENDIDO Y PRECALENTAMIEN

Cada vez que enciende el aparato, se realiza automáticamente

un ciclo de precalentamiento y de aclarado que no se puede in-

terrumpir.

Únicamente después de este ciclo, el aparato está listo para el

uso.

¡Peligro de quemaduras! Durante el aclarado, sale

un poco de agua caliente por las boquillas del erogador de café.

Para encender el aparato, presione el botón (A7) encendido/

stand-by (g. 1): en el display aparece el mensaje “CALENTANDO

ESPERE POR FAVOR”.

Cuando se completa el calentamiento, en el aparato aparece otro

mensaje: “ACLARADO”.

El aparato se ha calentado cuando en el display aparece el men-

saje “TAZA MEDIANA GUSTO NORMAL”.

Después de 2 minutos aproximadamente, si no presiona ningún

icono, en el display se ve la hora (si se ha programado) (véase el

párrafo “Programación de la hora”).

Si no ha programado la hora, la cafetera muestra las últimas

funciones programadas.

Al presionar un icono, aparece de nuevo el mensaje “TAZA ME-

DIANA GUSTO NORMAL”; la cafetera está lista de nuevo para

preparar café.

PREPARACIÓN DEL CAFÉ UTILI

ZANDO CAFÉ EN GRANOS

1. La cafetera ha sido congurada en la fábrica para preparar

café con gusto normal. Se puede preparar café con gusto

extraligero, ligero, fuerte o bien extrafuerte y con la opción

del café pre-molido. Para elegir el gusto, presione repeti-

damente el icono (B4) (g. 7): el gusto elegido del café

aparece en el display.

2. Coloque una taza bajo las boquillas del erogador si quiere

preparar 1 café (g. 9) o 2 tazas para 2 cafés (g. 8).

Para obtener una crema mejor, acerque lo máximo posible

el erogador de café a las tazas, bajándolo (g. 10).

3. Presione el icono (B5) (g. 11) para seleccionar un tipo

de café (taza espresso, taza pequeña, taza mediana, taza

grande, tazón). Entonces presione el icono (B10) (g.

12) si quiere preparar un café y si quiere preparar 2 cafés

presione el icono (B11) (g. 13).

Ahora la cafetera muele los granos y echa el café en la taza.

Una vez obtenida la cantidad de café predeterminada, la

cafetera detiene la salida automáticamente y expele el café

prensado usado en el contenedor de residuos.

4. Después de unos segundos la cafetera estará de nuevo lista

para el uso.

5. Para apagar la cafetera, presione el botón (A7) encendido/

stand-by (g. 1). (Antes de apagarse la cafetera realiza un

aclarado automático: tenga cuidado de no quemarse).

NOTA 1: Si el café sale goteando o no sale, véase el cap. “Regular

el molinillo de café”.

NOTA 2: Si el café sale demasiado rápidamente y la crema no es

buena, véase el cap. “Regular el molinillo de café”.

NOTA 3: Consejos para obtener un café más caliente:

• Sigalasindicacionescontenidasenelcapítulo“Modicary

programar los parámetros del menú”, función “Aclarado”.

• Noutilicetazasmuygruesasporqueabsorbenmuchocalor,

salvo que hayan sido calentadas previamente.

• Utilice tazas calentadas previamente,enjuagándolas con

agua caliente.

NOTA 4: Puede interrumpir la salida del café cuando quiera, pre-

sione de nuevo el icono seleccionado anteriormente que perma-

nece encendido durante la operación.

NOTA 5: En cuanto acaba la salida del café, si quiere aumentar la

cantidad de café en la taza, mantenga presionado el icono an-

teriormente seleccionado en los 3 segundos que siguen el nal

de la salida).

NOTA 6: Cuando el display muestra el mensaje: “¡LLENAR DEPÓ-

SITO!” es necesario llenar el depósito de agua, sino no sale café

de la cafetera.

(Es normal que quede todavía agua en el depósito).

NOTA 7: Después de 14 cafés individuales (o 7 dobles), en la ca-

fetera aparece el mensaje: “VACIAR CONTENEDOR DE RESIDUOS

CAFÉ”.

El aparato indica que ha de vaciar el contenedor aunque no esté

lleno cuando han pasado 72 horas desde la primera salida (para

que dichas 72 horas se cuenten correctamente, no debe nunca

apagar la cafetera con el interruptor general situado en la po-

sición 0).

Para la limpieza, abra la puerta de servicio situada en la parte

delantera tirando del erogador (g.16 ); entonces deberá sacar

la bandeja recogegotas (g.) y limpiarla.

Cuando realice la limpieza, saque del todo también la bandeja

recogegotas.

¡Atención! cuando extraiga la bandeja recogegotas

debe OBLIGATORIAMENTE vaciar también el contenedor de re-

siduos café.

Si no realiza esta operación, la cafetera puede obstruirse.

NOTA 8: Mientras que la cafetera está haciendo café, no quite

nunca el depósito de agua.Efectivamente, si se extrajera, la cafe-

tera después no podría preparar el café y aparecería el mensaje:

“MOLIDO MUY FINO REGULAR MOLINILLO PULSAR OK” y luego

“¡LLENAR DEPÓSITO!”. A continuación controle el nivel del agua

en el depósito y vuelva a colocarlo.

Presione el icono OK (B9) para encender de nuevo la cafetera,

en el display aparece el mensaje “AGUA CALIENTE PULSAR OK”.

Presione el icono OK (B9) en los segundos siguientes, deje que

salga agua por el emulsionador durante unos 30 segundos.

Cuando ya no sale agua, el aparato muestra de nuevo automáti-

camente las modalidades de base programadas.

Nota Bene: La cafetera puede demandar repetir la ope-

ración varias veces; o sea hasta que se elimine todo el aire conte-

nido en el circuito hidráulico.

Nota Bene: Si la operación anteriormente descrita no

se realiza correctamente o si la cafetera se apaga, en el display

se pueden ver de nuevo las modalidades de base programadas

pero el problema persiste.

MODIFICAR LA CANTIDAD DE CAFÉ

EN LA TAZA

La cafetera ha sido congurada en la fábrica para dosicar auto-

máticamente las siguientes tipologías de café:

• tazaespresso

• tazapequeña

• tazamediana

• tazagrande

• tazón

Para modicar la cantidad, haga lo siguiente:

• Presioneelicono (B2) para entrar en el menú (g. 15),

presione los iconos (B7) y (B8) (g. 2) para seleccio-

nar el mensaje “PROGRAMA CAFÉ”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9).

• Seleccioneeltipodecaféquequieremodicar,presionelos

iconos (B7) y (B8)

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)paraconrmareltipodecaféque

quiere modicar.

• Utilicelosiconos (B7) y (B8) para modicar la can-

tidad de café.

La barra progresiva indica la cantidad de café seleccionada.

• PresionedenuevoeliconoOK(B9)paraconrmar(oelico-

no (B6) para anular la operación).

• Presionedosveceselicono (B6) (g. 18) para abando-

nar el menú.

Entonces la cafetera está reprogramada según las nuevas con-

guraciones y está lista para el uso.

REGULAR EL MOLINILLO DE CAFÉ

El molinillo de café no debe regularse, porque ha sido progra-

mado en la fábrica; pero si el café sale demasiado rápidamente o

demasiado lentamente (goteando), habrá que corregir el grado

de molido con el regulador (g. 14).

¡Atención! El regulador debe girarse solamente mien-

tras que el molinillo de café está funcionando.

Para que el café salga más lentamente y mejorar el aspecto de la

crema, gire una posición en el sentido contrario de las agujas del

reloj (= café molido más no).

Para que el café salga más rápidamente (no goteando), gire una

posición en el sentido de las agujas del reloj (= café molido más

grueso).

PREPARACIÓN DEL CAFÉ CON EL

CAFÉ PREMOLIDO EN LUGAR DE

LOS GRANOS

• Presioneelicono (B4) (g. 7) y seleccione la función

café pre-molido.

• Saqueelaparatotirandodeéstehaciafuera,tengacuidado

de utilizar las asas correspondientes (g. 7).

• Levantelatapadelcentro,echeenelembudounmedidor

de café pre-molido (g. 19); empuje el aparato hacia dentro

y proceda siguiendo las indicaciones del cap. “Preparación

del café (utilizando café en granos)”.

Nota: Presione el icono (B10) (g. 12) para preparar

solamente un café.

• Si,despuésdehaberhechofuncionarlacafeterautilizando

café pre-molido, desea preparar de nuevo café utilizando

granos, hay que desactivar la función café pre-molido, pre-

sionando otra vez el icono (B4) (g. 7).

NOTA 1: No eche nunca el café pre-molido con la cafetera apaga-

da para evitar que se disperse en el interior de la cafetera.

NOTA 2: No eche más de 1 medidor sino la cafetera no preparará

el café.

NOTA 3: Utilice solamente el medidor de la dotación.

NOTA 4: Eche solamente café pre-molido para cafeteras de es-

presso en el embudo.

NOTA 5: Si el embudo se obstruye por haber echado más de un

medidor de café pre-molido, utilice un cuchillo para empujar el

café (g. 21), después saque y limpie la unidad infusiones y la

cafetera siguiendo las indicaciones del capítulo “Limpieza de la

unidad infusiones “.

PRODUCCIÓN DE AGUA CALIENTE

• Controlesiemprequelacafeteraestélistaparaeluso.

• Sitúeelemulsionadorhaciaelcentroycoloquedebajoun

recipiente (g. 5).

• Presioneelicono (B13) (g. 20).

En la cafetera aparece el mensaje “AGUA CALIENTE PULSAR

OK”. Presione el icono OK (B9) y el agua caliente sale por el

emulsionador llenando el recipiente inferior. (No deje salir

agua caliente durante más de 2 minutos sin interrupcio-

nes). Para interrumpir la salida del agua, presione el icono

(B13) o el icono (B6).

La salida del agua se interrumpe cuando se alcanza la cantidad

programada.

MODIFICAR LA CANTIDAD DE

AGUA CALIENTE

La cafetera ha sido congurada en la fábrica para producir auto-

máticamente 200 ml de agua caliente.

Si quiere modicar estas cantidades, efectúe las siguientes ope-

raciones:

• Coloqueunrecipientebajoelemulsionador(g.3).

• Presioneelicono (B2) para entrar en el menú (g. 15)

o después presione los iconos (B7) y (B8) (g. 2)

para seleccionar el mensaje “PROGR. AGUA CALIENTE”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)paraconrmar.

• Presionelosiconos (B7) y (B8) para seleccionar la

cantidad de agua.

La barra progresiva indica la cantidad de agua selecciona-

da.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)paraconrmar(oelicono

(B6) para anular la operación).

• Presionedosveceselicono (B6) (g. 18) para abando-

nar el menú.

• Entonceslacafeteraestáreprogramadasegúnlasnuevas

conguraciones y está lista para el uso.

PREPARACIÓN DEL CAPPUCCINO

UTILIZANDO LA FUNCIÓN VAPOR

• Gireelemulsionadorhaciaelcentro(g.5).

• Enun recipienteeche 100gramos deleche aproximada-

mente por cada cappuccino que preparará y colóquelo bajo

el emulsionador. Al elegir el tamaño del recipiente, consi-

dere que el volumen de la leche se duplica o triplica.

Le aconsejamos utilizar leche semidesnatada a temperatu-

ra del frigoríco.

• Sumerjaelemulsionadorenelrecipientedelaleche(g.

23), tenga cuidado de no sumergirlo más de la mitad.

• Presioneelicono (B12) (g. 22) (tenga cuidado de no

quemarse). El display visualiza “VAPOR PULSAR OK”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9).

• Parainterrumpirlasalidadelvapor,presionedenuevoel

icono (B12) o el icono (B6).

El vapor sale por el emulsionador. Para obtener una espu-

ma más cremosa, sumerja el emulsionador en la leche y

mueva el recipiente lentamente de abajo hacia arriba. (Le

aconsejamos no dejar salir vapor durante más de 2 minutos

seguidos).

• Cuandoobtengalaespumaquequiera,presionedenuevo

el icono (B12) o el icono (B6) para interrumpir la

emisión de vapor.

• Prepareelcafésiguiendolasindicacionesanteriores,utilice

tazas sucientemente grandes y llénelas después con la

leche espumosa preparada anteriormente.

• Importante:limpiesiempreelsistemacappuccinoinme-

diatamente después de haberlo utilizado. Haga lo siguien-

te:

• Presioneelicono (B12) y luego presione el icono OK

(B9) para que salga durante unos segundos un poco de va-

por. Esto eliminará cualquier resto de leche contenida en el

erogador de vapor.

• IMPORTANTE: para garantizar la higiene, le recomenda-

mos seguir este procedimiento después de preparar cada

cappuccino para evitar estancamientos en el circuito de la

leche.

• Espereunosminutosparaqueel emulsionadorse enfríe

luego, con una mano, sujete la palanca del emulsionador

rmemente y, con la otra, desenrosque el emulsionador

dándole vueltas en el sentido contrario de las agujas del

reloj y sáquelo por abajo (g. 24).

• Extraigalaboquilladelemulsionadortirandodeellahacia

abajo.

• Laveelemulsionadorylaboquillaconprecaución,conagua

caliente.

• Asegúresedequelosdosagujerosilustradosenlagura25

no estén obstruidos. Si es necesario, límpielos con un aller.

• Introduzcaporarribalaboquillaparacolocarlaenelemul-

sionador.

• Empujeelemulsionadorhaciaarribaygíreloenelsentido

de las agujas del reloj para colocarlo de nuevo.

LIMPIEZA

Limpieza de la cafetera

No use disolventes o detergentes abrasivos para limpiar la ca-

fetera. Es suciente utilizar un paño húmedo y suave. Ninguno

de los componentes de la cafetera debe lavarse NUNCA en la-

vavajillas.

Limpie periódicamente las siguientes partes de la cafetera:

• Contenedorderesiduos(A4).

• Bandejarecogegotas(A14).

• Depósitodelagua(A12).

• Boquillas del erogador de café (A13), de la boquilla del

agua caliente (A11), del emulsionador (A10).

• Embudoparaecharelcafépre-molido(A21).

• El interior de la cafetera, accesible tras haber abiertola

puerta de servicio (A2).

• Launidadinfusiones(A5)

Limpieza del contenedor de residuos café

Cuando en el display aparece el mensaje “VACIAR CONTENEDOR

DE RESIDUOS CAFÉ”, es necesario vaciarlo y limpiarlo.

Para limpiar:

• abrala puertade servicioen la parte delantera(g.16),

saque a continuación la bandeja recogegotas (g.17) para

limpiarla.

• Limpiemeticulosamenteelcontenedorderesiduos.

¡Atención! cuando extraiga la bandeja recogegotas

debe obligatoriamente vaciar también el contenedor de residuos

café.

Limpieza de la bandeja recogegotas

¡Atención! Si no vacía la bandeja recogegotas, el agua

puede derramarse.

Lo cual puede estropear la cafetera.

La bandeja recogegotas tiene un indicador con otador (de color

rojo) del nivel de agua que contiene (g. 27).

Antes de que este indicador empiece a sobresalir de la bandeja

apoyatazas, debe vaciar la bandeja y limpiar.

Para extraer la bandeja:

1. Abra la puerta de servicio (g. 16).

2. Extraiga la bandeja recogegotas y el contenedor de resi-

duos café (g. 17).

3. Limpie la bandeja recogegotas y el contenedor de residuos

(A4).

4. Coloque de nuevo la bandeja con el contenedor de residuos

(A4).

5. Cierre la puerta de servicio.

Limpieza del depósito del agua

1. Limpie periódicamente (una vez al mes aproximadamente)

el depósito del agua (A12) con un paño húmedo y un poco

de detergente delicado.

2. Elimine meticulosamente los restos de detergente.

Limpieza de las boquillas del erogador

1. Limpie las boquillas periódicamente con una esponja

(g.28).

2. Controle periódicamente que los agujeros del erogador de

café no estén obstruidos. Si es necesario, utilice un palillo

de los dientes para eliminar los restos de café (g. 26).

Limpieza del embudo para echar el café

pre-molido

• Controle periódicamente (aproximadamente una vez al

mes) que el embudo para echar el café pre-molido no esté

obstruido (g. 21).

¡Peligro! Antes de realizar cualquier operación de lim-

pieza, apague la cafetera pulsando el interruptor general (A23) y

desenchúfela de la corriente.

No sumerja nunca la cafetera en el agua.

Limpieza del interior de la cafetera

1. Controle periódicamente (aproximadamente una vez por

semana) que el interior de la cafetera no esté sucio.

Si es necesario, utilice una esponja para eliminar los restos

de café.

2. Aspire todos los restos con un aspirador (g. 29).

Limpieza de la unidad infusiones

Debe limpiar dicha unidad al menos mensualmente una vez.

¡Atención! No puede extraer la unidad infusiones (A5)

cuando la cafetera está encendida.

No intente sacar la unidad infusiones con la fuerza.

1. Asegúrese de que la cafetera se haya apagado correcta-

mente (véase “Apagado”).

2. Abra la puerta de servicio (g. 16).

3. Extraiga la bandeja recogegotas y el contenedor de resi-

duos (g. 17).

4. Presione hacia dentro los dos botones de desenganche de

color rojo y al mismo tiempo extraiga la unidad infusiones

hacia fuera (g. 30).

¡Atención! Limpie la unidad infusiones sin detergente

porque el interior del pistón se ha tratado con un lubricante que

el detergente eliminaría..

5. Sumerja durante 5 minutos aproximadamente la unidad

infusiones en el agua y enjuáguelo.

6. Después de la limpieza, vuelva a colocar la unidad infusio-

nes (A5), introdúzcalo en el soporte y en el perno inferior;

a continuación presione PUSH hasta oír el clic de enganche.

Nota Bene: Si le resulta difícil colocar la unidad infusio-

nes, debe (antes de colocarlo) situarlo correctamente presionan-

do con fuerza al mismo tiempo por la parte inferior y superior

como se indica en la gura.

7. Tras haberlo colocado, asegúrese de que los dos botones

rojos sobresalgan.

8. Vuelva a colocar la bandeja recogegotas con el contenedor

de residuos.

9. Cierre la puerta de servicio.

MODIFICAR Y CONFIGURAR LOS

PARÁMETROS DEL MENÚ

Cuando la cafetera está lista para el uso, puede intervenir en el

interior del menú para modicar los siguientes parámetros o

funciones:

• Seleccionaridioma

• Aclarado

• Apagadodespués

• Programarhora

• Horadeinicio

• Auto-encendido

• Temperatura

• Durezaagua

Elección del idioma

Si quiere modicar el idioma en el display, haga lo siguiente:

• Presioneelicono (B2) para entrar en el menú; en el

display aparece “SELECCIONAR IDIOMA”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9).

• Presionelosiconos (B7) y (B8) para ver en la cafete-

ra el idioma elegido.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)paraconrmar.

• Presioneelicono (B6) para abandonar el menú.

Nota Bene: Si se equivoca al seleccionar el idioma, pue-

de acceder directamente al menú para modicar este parámetro:

• Mantengapresionadoelicono (B2) durante al menos

7 segundos hasta que la cafetera muestra los diferentes

idiomas.

• Elijaelidiomasiguiendolasinstruccionesdelpárrafo“Pri-

mera puesta en marcha del aparato”.

Aclarado

Esta función sirve para obtener un café más caliente.

Efectúe las siguientes operaciones:

• Siencuantoseenciendelacafeteraqueremosprepararuna

taza pequeña de café (inferior a 60cc), use el agua caliente

del aclarado para precalentar la taza.

• Por el contrario, si desde el último café preparado han

transcurrido más de 2/3 minutos, antes de hacer otro café,

es necesario precalentar la unidad infusiones, presionando

el icono (B2) para entrar en el menú y luego los iconos

(B7) y (B8) para seleccionar la función “ACLARADO”.

Presione el icono OK (B9).

En el display aparece el mensaje “ACLARADO CONFIRME”.

Presione de nuevo el icono OK (B9).

Luego deje salir el agua en la bandeja recogegotas, o bien

utilice dicha agua para llenar (y luego vaciar) la taza que

utilizará para el café para precalentarla.

Modicar la duración del encendido

La cafetera ha sido congurada en la fábrica para apagarse au-

tomáticamente después de 30 minutos tras la última utilización.

Para modicar este tiempo (máx. 120 min.), haga lo siguiente:

• Presioneelicono (B2) para entrar en el menú y luego

presione los iconos (B7) y (B8) hasta que la cafetera

muestre el mensaje “APAGAR DESPUÉS”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)paraconrmar.

• Presionelos iconos  (B7) y (B8) para determinar

después de cuanto tiempo la cafetera se debe apagar (en

1/2 hora, en 1 hora, en 2 horas).

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)paraconrmar.

• Presioneelicono (B6) para abandonar el menú.

Programación de la hora

• Presioneelicono (B2) para entrar en el menú y luego

presione los iconos (B7) y (B8) hasta que la cafetera

muestre el mensaje “PROGRAMAR HORA”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9).

• Utilicelosiconos (B7) y (B8) para programar la hora

y presione el icono OK (B9) para conrmar.

• Utilicelosiconos (B7) y (B8) para programar los mi-

nutos y presione el icono OK (B9) para conrmar.

• Presioneelicono (B6) para abandonar el menú.

Programación de la hora de inicio automá-

tico

Esta función le permite programar la hora de inicio automático

de la cafetera.

• trashaber quitado desu envolturala tirareactiva“Total

hardness test” (adjunta en la pág. 2), sumérjala completa-

mente en el agua durante algunos segundos.

Después sáquela y espere unos 30 segundos (hasta que

cambie de color y se formen cuadrados rojos).

• Encienda la cafetera presionando el botón encendido/

stand-by (A7).

• Presioneelicono (B2) para entrar en el menú y luego

presione los iconos (B7) y (B8) hasta que la cafetera

muestre el mensaje “DUREZA DE AGUA”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9).

• Presionelosiconos (B7) y (B8) para seleccionar el

número correspondiente a los cuadrados rojos que se han

formado en la tira reactiva (por ejemplo, si en la tira reacti-

va se han formado 3 cuadrados rojos, hay que seleccionar el

mensaje “DUREZA DE AGUA 3”).

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)paraconrmareldato.

Entonces, la cafetera está programada para avisar cuándo

es efectivamente necesario ejecutar la descalcicación.

Programación café

Para las instrucciones relativas a la programación del café, con-

sulte el capítulo “MODIFICAR LA CANTIDAD DE CAFÉ EN LA TAZA”.

Programación agua

Para las instrucciones, consulte el capítulo “MODIFICAR LA CAN-

TIDAD DE AGUA CALIENTE”.

Descalcicación

¡Atención! El descalcicante contiene ácidos.

Respete las advertencias de seguridad del fabricante, contenidas

en el recipiente del descalcicante.

Nota Bene: Utilice exclusivamente el descalcicante re-

comendado por el fabricante.

En caso contrario la garantía no es válida.

Por otro lado, la garantía no es válida si la descalcicación no se

realiza regularmente.

Cuando la cafetera muestra el mensaje “¡DESCALCIFICAR!” ha lle-

gado el momento de efectuar la descalcicación.

Proceda de la siguiente manera:

• Asegúresedequelacafeteraestálistaparaeluso.

• Presioneelicono (B2) para entrar en el menú y luego

presione los iconos (B7) y (B8) hasta que la cafetera

muestre el mensaje “DESCALCIFICACIÓN”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)ylacafeteramostraráelmensaje

“DESCALCIFICACIÓN CONFIRME”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9).

En el display aparece el mensaje “INSERTAR DESCALCIF.

CONFIRME”.

• Vacíeeldepósitodelagua,echeelcontenidodelfrascode

descalcicante, respete las indicaciones del envase y añada

agua.

Coloque un recipiente con una capacidad de 2 litros aproxi-

madamente bajo el erogador de agua caliente.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9),lasolucióndescalcicantesale

por el erogador de agua caliente y empieza a llenar el reci-

piente inferior.

En la cafetera aparece el mensaje: ”DESCALCIFICANDO”.

• Elprogramadedescalcicaciónejecutaautomáticamente

una serie de erogaciones y de pausas.

• Cuandotranscurrenunos30minutos,lacafeteramuestrael

mensaje “DESCALCIF. COMPLETA CONFIRME”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)ylacafeteramuestraelmensaje“

ACLARADO ¡LLENAR DEPÓSITO!”.

• Vacíe el depósitodelagua, enjuáguelo paraeliminar los

restos de descalcicante y llénelo con agua limpia.

• Vuelvaacolocareldepósitollenodeagualimpia.

En el display aparece de nuevo el mensaje “ACLARADO CON-

FIRME”.

• PresioneotravezeliconoOK(B9).

El agua caliente sale por el erogador, llena el recipiente y en

la cafetera aparece el mensaje “ACLARADO”.

• Espereelmensaje“ACLARADOCOMPLETOCONFIRME”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9).

En el display aparece el mensaje “DESCALCIF. COMPLETA” y

luego “¡LLENAR DEPÓSITO!”.

Llene de nuevo el depósito con agua limpia.

• Elprogramadedescalcicaciónhaconcluidoylacafetera

está lista para preparar de nuevo café.

Nota: Si se interrumpe el procedimiento de descalcicación

antes de que termine, habrá que realizar de nuevo todas las

operaciones desde el inicio.

¡Atención! LA GARANTÍA NO ES VÁLIDA SI LA DESCAL-

CIFICACIÓN NO SE REALIZA REGULARMENTE.

Restablecimiento de las programaciones

de la fábrica (reset)

Podemos volver a las conguraciones originales de la cafetera

(incluso después de que el usuario las haya modicado), efec-

tuando las siguientes operaciones:

• Presioneelicono (B2) para entrar en el menú y luego

presione los iconos (B7) y (B8) hasta que la cafetera

muestre el mensaje “RESET”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)ylacafeteramostraráelmensaje

“RESET CONFIRME”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)paravolveralasconguraciones

de la fábrica.

Estadística

Con esta función se ven los datos estadísticos de la cafetera.

Para verlos, haga lo siguiente:

• Presioneelicono (B2) para entrar en el menú y luego

presione los iconos (B7) y (B8) hasta que la cafetera

muestre el mensaje “ESTADÍSTICA”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9).

• Alpresionarlosiconos (B7) y (B8) se puede veri-

car:

- El número de cafés preparados.

- El número de descalcicaciones realizadas.

- El número de litros de agua producidos en total.

• Presioneunavezel icono (B6) para abandonar esta

función, o presione dos veces el icono (B6) para aban-

donar el menú.

Advertencia acústica

Con esta función se activa o desactiva la advertencia acústica que

la cafetera realiza cada vez que presiona un icono y cada vez que

coloca/quita un accesorio.

Nota Bene: La cafetera se ha precongurado con la ad-

vertencia acústica activada.

• Presioneelicono (B2) para entrar en el menú y luego

presione los iconos (B7) y (B8) hasta que la cafetera

muestre el mensaje “ADVERTENCIA ACÚSTICA”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9).Eneldisplayapareceelmensaje

“ADVERTENCIA ACÚSTICA CONFIRME”.

• Presioneelicono (B6) para desactivar la advertencia

acústica, o presione el icono OK (B9) para activarla.

• Presioneelicono (B6) para abandonar el menú.

Ajuste del contraste

Para aumentar o disminuir el contraste del display, haga lo si-

guiente:

• Presioneelicono (B2) para entrar en el menú y luego

presione los iconos (B7) y (B8) hasta que la cafetera

muestre el mensaje “CONTRASTE”.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9).

• Presionelosiconos (B7) y (B8) para ver el contraste

elegido en el display: la barra progresiva indica el nivel de

contraste seleccionado.

• PresioneeliconoOK(B9)paraconrmar.

• Presioneunavezelicono (B6) para abandonar esta

función, o presione dos veces el icono (B6) para aban-

donar el menú.

APAGADO DEL APARATO

Cada vez que apaga el aparato, se realiza automáticamente un

aclarado que no se puede interrumpir.

¡Peligro de quemaduras! Durante el aclarado, sale

un poco de agua caliente por las boquillas del erogador de café.

Tenga cuidado de no entrar en contacto con salpicaduras de

agua.

Para apagar el aparato, presione el botón encendido/stand-by

(A7).

El aparato realiza el aclarado y luego se apaga.

Nota Bene: Si el aparato no se utiliza durante períodos

prolongados, presione también el interruptor general ON/OFF

(A23), en la parte trasera del aparato, para situarlo en la posición

Llene el depósito del agua y/o colóquelo cor-

rectamente, empújelo hasta el tope.

MOLIDO MUY FINO REGULAR MOLINILLO

El molido es muy no y por lo tanto el

café sale demasiado lentamente.

La cafetera no puede preparar el café

porque hay aire en el circuito hidráuli-

co. Posible causa: el procedimiento de

instalación del ltro no se ha realizado

correctamente.

Gire el regulador de molido una posición ha-

cia el número 7.

Controle que el ltro (A26) esté instalado

correctamente y que el procedimiento de in-

stalación se haya realizado perfectamente.

MOLIDO MUY FINO REGULAR MOLINILLO

(alternado)

PULSAR OK

(y sucesivamente)

¡LLENAR DEPÓSITO!

El depósito se ha quitado durante la

salida.

Coloque el depósito y presione el icono OK

(B9). En el display aparece “AGUA CALIENTE

PULSAR OK”. Presione de nuevo el icono OK

(B9). La cafetera vuelve a la modalidad de

lista para el uso.

VACIAR CONTENEDOR DE RESIDUOS

CAFÉ

El contenedor de residuos café (A4)

está lleno o han pasado más de tres

días desde la última erogación (dicha

operación garantiza una higiene cor-

recta de la cafetera).

Vacíe el contenedor de residuos y límpielo y

vuélvalo a colocar. Importante: cuando ex-

traiga la bandeja recogegotas debe OBLIGA-

TORIAMENTE vaciar también el contenedor

de residuos café aunque no esté muy lleno.

Si no realiza esta operación, cuando prepare

los cafés siguientes, el contenedor de resi-

duos se puede llenar más de lo previsto y la

cafetera se puede obstruir.

INSERTAR CONTENEDOR DE RESIDUOS Después de la limpieza, no ha coloca-

do el contenedor de residuos.

Abra la puerta de servicio y coloque el conte-

nedor de residuos.

RELLENAR CAFÉ PREMOLIDO Se ha seleccionado la función “café

pre-molido” pero no ha echado el café

pre-molido en el embudo.

El embudo (A21) está obstruido.

Saque la cafetera y eche el café pre-molido

en el embudo.

Siga las indicaciones del párrafo “Limpieza

del embudo para echar café pre-molido”

para vaciar el embudo con un cuchillo.

DESCALCIFICAR! Indica que ha de descalcicar la cafe-

tera.

Debe realizar cuanto antes el programa de

descalcicación descrito en el cap. “Descal-

cicación”.

DISMI. DOSIS CAFÉ Ha utilizado demasiado café. Seleccione un gusto más ligero o eche menos

café pre-molido y pida de nuevo la salida de

café.

LLENAR CONTENEDOR GRANOS CAFÉ Se ha acabado el café en granos. Llene el contenedor de granos de café.

INSERTAR UNIDAD INFUSIONES Después de la limpieza no ha colocado

la unidad infusiones.

Siga las indicaciones del cap. “Limpieza de

la unidad infusiones” para colocar la unidad

infusiones.

CERRAR PUERTA! La puerta de servicio está abierta. Cierre la puerta de servicio.

MENSAJES MOSTRADOS EN EL

DISPLAY

SOLUCIÓN DE LOS PROBLEMAS

A continuación se enumeran algunos posibles funcionamientos

incorrectos. Si no puede resolver el problema en el modo descri-

to, póngase en contacto con la asistencia técnica.

PROBLEMA POSIBLE CAUSA SOLUCIÓN

El café no está caliente. Las tazas no se han precalentado.

La unidad infusiones se ha enfriado

porque han pasado 2/3 minutos de-

sde el último café.

La temperatura programada es de-

masiado baja.

Enjuague las tazas con agua caliente para calentar-

las.

Antes de preparar el café, caliente la unidad infusio-

nes con la función ACLARADO dentro del menú.

Modique la temperatura programada (véase el pár-

rafo “Modicar la temperatura del café”).

El café tiene poca crema. El café se ha molido demasiado

grueso.

La mezcla del café no es adecuada.

Gire el regulador de molido una posición hacia el nú-

mero 1 en el sentido contrario de las agujas del reloj

mientras que el molinillo de café está funcionando

(g. 11).

Utilice una mezcla de café para cafeteras de café

espresso.

El café sale muy lentamente o

gotea.

El café se ha molido demasiado no. Gire el regulador de molido una posición hacia el nú-

mero 7 en el sentido de las agujas del reloj mientras

que el molinillo de café está funcionando (g. 11).

Gire el regulador gradualmente una posición hasta

que el café salga correctamente. El efecto se ve sola-

mente después de preparar 2 cafés.

El café sale demasiado rápida-

mente.

El café se ha molido demasiado

grueso.

Gire el regulador de molido una posición hacia el nú-

mero 1 en el sentido contrario de las agujas del reloj

mientras que el molinillo de café está funcionando

(g. 11). Tenga cuidado de no girar excesivamente el

regulador de molido pues cuando prepare dos cafés,

saldrán goteando. El efecto se ve solamente después

de preparar 2 cafés.

El café no sale por una o por

ninguna de las dos boquillas del

erogador.

Las boquillas están obstruidas. Limpie las boquillas con un palillo de dientes (g.

23).

El café sale por la puerta de servi-

cio (A2) en vez de por las boquillas

del erogador.

Los agujeros de las boquillas están

obstruidos con café molido seco.

El dispositivo carga café (A3) dentro

de la puerta de servicio se ha blo-

queado.

Limpie las boquillas con un palillo de los dientes, una

esponja o una escobilla de cocina con cerdas duras

(g. 23).

Limpie meticulosamente el dispositivo carga café

(A3), sobre todo cerca de las bisagras.

Sale agua en vez de café por el

erogador.

El café molido está bloqueado en el

embudo (A21).

Limpie el embudo (A21) con un tenedor de madera o

de plástico, limpie la cafetera por dentro.

MENSAJE MOSTRADO POSIBLE CAUSA SOLUCIÓN

ALARMA GENERAL! La cafetera está muy sucia por dentro. Siga las indicaciones del párrafo “limpieza

y mantenimiento” para limpiar meticulosa-

mente la cafetera. Si después de la limpieza,

sigue apareciendo el mensaje, póngase en

contacto con un centro de asistencia.
