OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This curling appliance is intended for
household use. Use on Alternating Current
(60 hertz) only. This unit is designed to be
operated at 120 volts AC. This appliance has
a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature.
NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance
on hair extensions.

WARNING: The curling iron’s titanium-plated
barrel will get very hot within a few seconds and
should not be placed in contact with the skin after
the curling iron has been turned on.
GETTING STARTED
Plug the curling iron cord into a standard
household electrical outlet (120V). Press the
ON/OFF button and use dial to select desired
temperature. Never leave your curling iron
on and unattended. However, should you
fail to turn the unit off, it will shut itself off
automatically within 60 minutes.

USER MAINTENANCE
Your curling iron is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from
the power source, allow to cool and wipe
exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition
occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and
return it for repair to an authorized service
representative only. No repairs should be
attempted by the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the appliance. Damage will occur
at the high flex point of entry into the appliance,
causing it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect
the cord frequently for damage. Stop use
immediately if damage is visible or if unit stops
or operates intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to store.
Allow appliance to cool, then simply store out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not
jerk or strain cord at plug connections. Do not
wrap the line cord around the appliance. Allow
the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the
point of entry into the appliance.
WARNING
The instant heat barrel will get very hot within a
few seconds and should not come into contact
with skin after the curling iron is turned on.
When the High setting is chosen, the curling iron
will have an extremely hot barrel. Always do a test
curl before using the curling iron to ensure the
proper setting for your hair type.
LIMITED THREE-YEAR WARRANTY
(U.S. AND CANADA ONLY)
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your
unit free of charge for 36 months from the date
of purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the
defective product to the service center listed on
back, together with your purchase receipt and
$7.50 for postage and handling. California
residents need only provide proof of purchase
and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping
instructions. In the absence of a purchase
receipt, the warranty period shall be 36 months
from the date of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR
LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A

TO CURL HAIR
Hair should be clean and completely dry
before using the curling iron. Section dry
hair evenly and comb each section
before winding.
1. To open spoon, press the curl release.
Place curling iron midway up the hair section,
then spread hair evenly between spoon
and barrel. Release curl release to hold
hair in place.
2. Gently slide curling iron down to hair ends.
To avoid crimped ends, make sure they are
securely wound under the spoon in the
direction of the desired curl. Remember,
always place the spoon above the hair strand
when making a curl you want rolled under;
place the spoon under the hair strand when
making a flip style.
3. Wind the hair up as far as you want it
curled, being careful not to let the iron touch
the scalp. Hold in place for 8 to 12 seconds,
depending on the texture and length of your
hair. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair.
For looser, free-flowing curls, roll more hair.
4. To remove curling iron, unwind the hair
and press the curl release. To set the curl,
do not comb or brush hair until it cools.

CÓMO RIZAR EL CABELLO
El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Divida el
cabello seco en secciones uniformes y peine
cada sección.
1. Oprima la manija para abrir la pinza.
Coloque el aparato a medio camino en una
sección de cabello y distribuya el cabello
uniformemente entre el tubo y la pinza.
Suelte la manija para sujetar el cabello.
2. Deslice el aparato suavemente hacia las
puntas. Para evitar tener las puntas
encrespadas, asegúrese de que están
firmemente posicionadas entre el tubo y la
pinza, en la dirección deseada. Consejo: para
rizar el cabello hacia abajo, coloque la
sección de cabello debajo de la pinza. Para
rizar el cabello hacia arriba, coloque la
sección de cabello encima de la pinza.
3. Enrolle el cabello hacia el cuero cabelludo,
sin que el aparato llegue a tocar el cuero
cabelludo. Mantenga la tenaza en esta
posición por 8 a 12 segundos, dependiendo
de la textura y de la longitud del cabello. Para
obtener rizos apretados y elásticos, divida el
cabello en secciones más delgadas. Para
obtener rizos sueltos y naturales, enrolle
secciones más gruesas.
4. Desenrolle el cabello lentamente y oprima
la manija para soltarlo. Permita que el cabello
se enfríe antes de peinarlo para “fijar” los
rizos.
