Remove the lens ring from the camera (Figure 1-a) and attach a UR-E14 lens adapter ring (available separately; Figure 1-b). Store the lens ring in a safe place. 2. Remove the cover from the back of the converter lens (Figure 2) and attach the WC-E75 to the UR-E14 (Figure 3). Attention: When handling the WC-E75, hold it by the body, not the front cap. The HN-CP15 reduces “ghosting” when the edges of the frame are brightly lit, for example when the subject is back-lit or light is entering the frame at an angle behind the subject. The HN-CP15 also helps to protect the lens. Removing the Converter Lens Reverse the order of steps above to remove the lens hood, converter lens, and adapter ring. Taking Photographs with the WC-E75 Before taking photographs with the WC-E75, set the LENS option in the shooting menu to Wide adapter. Camera settings will automatically be adjusted to make best use of the converter lens. See the Guide to Digital Photography for details. It can not be used with other cameras. • The converter lens increases the weight of the camera. To prevent blurring, hold the camera steadily in both hands or mount it on a tripod. • Do not hold the camera by the converter lens alone, as this may damage the equipment. Detach the converter lens before transporting the camera. • When cleaning the lens, remove dust with a blower. To remove fingerprints or other stains, wipe the lens gently with a soft, clean, cotton cloth dampened lightly with pure ethanol. Move the cloth in an even spiral from the center outward, being sure to clean all parts of the lens and to not leave any streaks. Note that any foreign matter on the lens may appear in photographs. When using an optional Speedlight, remove the lens hood to prevent it from blocking the light from the flash. Pour photographier les sujets en vous approchant à 1cm, recourez au mode Macro. Avertissements • Ce convertisseur est destiné exclusivement au Nikon COOLPIX 8400. Il est incompatible avec les autres appareils photo. • Le convertisseur augmente le poids de l’appareil photo. Pour éviter d’obtenir des photos floues, tenez fermement l’appareil photo des deux mains ou fixez-le sur un pied. • Ne tenez pas l’appareil photo par le convertisseur seulement car cela risque d’endommager le matériel.
