 • Removeallmetalshavingsfromthecutarea.

 • Fileanysharpedgeslebycung.Thoroughlywipeand

 removeanylings,grime,ordirtfromtherailing.

 • ApplytwocoatsofFortresszincbasedtouch-uppaintto

 thecutarea.Iftouchupisatrailends,allowpainttodry

 beforeconnecngbrackettopost.

• Be sure to remove any metal shavings from the surface of

 deck,pao,orbalconytopreventstainsonthedeck

  surface.

 • Alwaysusethelowestspeedsengondrill.

 • Toreducechanceofbitbreakage,startghteningwithdrill

 onlowtorquesengandworkupunlscrewissecured.

• WoodBlockmustbeconstructedwithtreateddimensional

lumberwithaminimumthicknessof11/2”[38mm].

bracketspacingtoconrmdimensionsusedinFig.2and3

ofstep1.AsshowninFig.4.

5. R e m o v e  a l l  m e t a l  s h a v i n g s  f r o m  d e c k ,  p o s t  b a s e  c o v e r, 

post,andpanelbeforebracketisscrewedtopostto

preventcorrosion.

Step 1: Measure & Mark Rails Where Cuts Will Be Made

1. Toensurerailsaresymmetrical,takethemeasurement

foundonpage10,step3ofBracketInstallaon,anddivide

itinhalf.Thencutequallengthsfrombothends.

2. Find the center of the rails and measure out half of the

lengtheachdirecon.AsshowninFig.1.

3. Marktheselocaonswithapencilonthetopandboom

rail.

3. Oncetopandboombracketsareinstalled,remeasure

bracketspacingtoconrmdimensionsusedinFig.2and3

ofstep1.

4. Removeallmetalshavingsfromdeck,postbasecover,

post,andpanelbeforebracketisscrewedtopost.

soportesinferiores.Coloqueelrielinferiorlomáscercaposibleasu

posiciónenlainstalaciónnal.

3. Pongadosbalaustresenelrielinferior,coloqueelrielsuperiorydespués

sujeteelpanelalposte.ComosemuestraenlaFig.1.

4. Coloque los soportes del riel superior paralelos al panel y planos, centrados

sobreelposte.Asegúrese de que la parte inferior interna del soporte esté

a ras con la parte inferior del riel. Como se muestra en la Fig. 2.

5. Marqueconlápiz la posición del borde superior del soporte en el poste.

6. Desarmelossoportesquitandoelbarrilyeltornillo.Como se muestra en la

Fig.3.

7. Coloque las bases del soporte del riel superior sobre la marca anterior del

bordesuperior.Centrelabasesobreelposteyuliceellápizparaagregar

marcasparalasubicacionesdelosagujerosdelosdostornillos. Como se

muestraenlaFig.4.

RDS.

3. Fixerd’abordlaRDSauxpanneaux.

4. EmboîterleraccordsurlesRDS.Unefoisenposion,uli-

serlesvis-foret-taraudfournies(2)pourxerleraccordau

poteau.

5. Àl’aided’unbalaioud’uncompresseuràair,rererlesdé-

brisdelarampeetlaterrasse.

Remarque :

• Les RDS doivent être à au moins 1,5 mm (38 mm) l’une de

l’autre, mais ne doivent pas être à plus de 2,75 po (70 mm).

• Il est recommandé de tester la taille des RDS et raccords

au poteau ensemble au-dessus de la traverse avant de les

installer.

2. Ledistanceurpeutêtre1/4po(6,5mm)pluscourtquel’espace

entrelesferrures.

3. Si un des trous de vissage est coupé lors de la coupe du distan-

ceurdeRDS,uliserunforetde5/8po(16mm)pourajouter

untrouà1po(25mm)duboutdudistanceurdeRDS.

4. Àl’aided’untourne-écrou5/16po(8mm),xerledistanceur

deRDSavec2desvisautoperceusesfournies.

Remarque :

• La RDS plate nécessite un distanceur pour RDS pleine lon-
