Conair will (at our option) repair or replace your
appliance free of charge for 12 months from the
date of purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the
defective product to the service center listed at
right that is nearest you, together with your sales
slip and $5.00 for postage and handling. California
residents need only provide proof of purchase
and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping
instructions. In the absence of a purchase receipt,
the warranty period will be 12 months from the
date of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS
OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED IN
DURATION TO THE 12-MONTH DURATION OF
THIS WRITTEN, LIMITED WARRANTY.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long
an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations

OF THIS OR ANY OTHER WARRANTY,

IMPORTANT
SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety
precautions should always be taken, including
the following.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING
THIS APPLIANCE.
WARNING–
To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock,
or injury to persons:
1) This appliance is not for use by children or
individuals with certain disabilities.
2) Do not operate under a blanket or pillow.
Excessive heating can occur and cause fire,
electric shock, or injury to persons.
3) Use this appliance only for its intended use as
described in this manual.
4) Never operate this appliance with the air
openings blocked. Keep the air openings
free of lint, hair, and other debris.
5) Never operate on a soft surface, such as a
bed or a couch, where air openings may
be blocked.
6) Never drop or insert any object into any of
the openings.
INSTALLING BATTERY
- Open the battery cover on the back by turning
the battery door screw counterclockwise
(see arrow on the cover).
- Install or replace the 4 batteries (UM-4/AAA/RO3/
LR03 or equivalent; not included) following the
polarity diagram in the battery compartment.
- Replace the cover and tighten the battery
door screw.
- Replace the batteries when the sound becomes
weak or distorted at ordinary volume level.
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc)
or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
RADIO OPERATION
- Press the power switch button once to turn
the radio on.
- Adjust the volume control to your desired
sound level.
- Set the AM/FM selector to either AM or FM.
- Adjust the tuning knob to select your
favorite station.

IMPORTANTES
Siempre que use aparatos eléctricos, debe tomar
precauciones básicas de seguridad, entre las
cuales las siguientes:

Para reducir el riesgo de quemaduras,

1) Este aparato no debería ser usado por o cerca
de niños o personas con alguna discapacidad.
2) No haga funcionar este aparato debajo de una
manta o de una almohada. Esto podría provocar
un recalentamiento y presentar un riesgo de
incendio, electrocución o herida.
3) Utilice este aparato únicamente con el propósito
para el cual fue diseñado y solamente según
las instrucciones.
4) Nunca utilice el aparato si las aberturas de aire
están bloqueadas. Mantenga las aberturas libres
de pelusas, cabellos y elementos similares.
5) Nunca haga funcionar el aparato sobre una
superficie blanda, como una cama o un sofá,
donde las entradas de aire se puedan obstruir.
6) Nunca deje caer ni inserte ningún objeto en
ninguna de las aberturas del aparato.
INSTALACIÓN DE LAS PILAS
- Abra el compartimiento de las pilas, girando
el tornillo en sentido antihorario (ver las flechas
en la tapa)
- Instale 4 pilas (UM-4/AAA/RO3/LR03 o
equivalente; no incluidas) en el compartimiento,
respetando los signos de polaridad (+/-)
indicados sobre el diagrama.
- Cierre el compartimiento de las pilas, apretando
bien el tornillo.
- Cambie las pilas cuando el sonido de la radio se
vuelve débil o distorsionado.
- No junte pilas nuevas con pilas usadas.
- No junte pilas alcalinas con pilas
regulares (carbono-zinc) o pilas recargables
(níquel cadmio).
INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
- Oprima el botón de encendido una vez para
encender la radio.
- Ajuste el volumen al nivel deseado.
- Ponga el selector de AM/FM en la
posición deseada.
- Escoja su estación de radio favorita.

Conair reparará o remplazará (a su opción) su
aparato sin cargo por un período de 12 meses
a partir de la fecha de compra si presentara
defectos de materiales o fabricación.
Para obtener servicio técnico bajo esta garantía,
regrese su aparato al Centro de Servicio indicado
a continuación, junto con su recibo de compra y
un cheque o giro postal de US$5.00 por gastos
de manejo y envío. Los residentes de California
sólo necesitan dar una prueba de compra y
deben llamar al 1-800-3-CONAIR para recibir
instrucciones de envío. En ausencia del recibo de
compra, el período de garantía será de 12 meses
a partir de la fecha de fabricación.
