following text, you have chosen a high-quality product.
Before you start using the diagnostic scale, get familiar with it and read this user manual carefully.
Primarily pay attention to the safety instructions and utilize the diagnostic scale only as described in
this user manual and for the specified purposes.
Keep this user manual for later reference. If you give the diagnostic scale to someone else, also
give them all the documents.
1 Safety instructions
Before using the diagnostic scale for the first time, carefully read
the following instructions and obey all warnings, even if you are
familiar with handling electronic devices. Keep this user manual
safe for future reference. If you sell or give the diagnostic scale
away, provide this user manual, too.
Explanation of the symbols used
This symbol identifies an impending dangerous situation that, if
not avoided, could result in major injuries or even death.
This symbol warns against possible property damage.
This symbol shows that the diagnostic scale must
not be used with moist or wet feet. Also do not use
it if the surface of the scale is moist or wet. You
could slip and be injured.
This symbol indicates that the diagnostic scale must
not be loaded with more than 180 kg or 396 lb or
28.3 st. Otherwise, the diagnostic scale may be
damaged and you could be injured.

This symbol indicates other important information
on the topic.
• Do not allow children to play with the diagnostic scale. Also,
keep the packaging foil away from children. It can cause
suffocation.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• Never use the diagnostic scale if you have a pacemaker.
Never use the diagnostic scale near people who have a
pacemaker or who use other medical devices.
• The diagnostic scale is not suitable for pregnant women.
• Do not step on the diagnostic scale with moist or wet feet or
when the surface of the scale is moist. You could slip and be
injured.
• Do not place a load greater than 180 kg, 396 lb or 28.3 st
on the diagnostic scale. Otherwise, the diagnostic scale may
be damaged and you could be injured.
• Do not jump on the surface of the diagnostic scale. This could
damage the device and you could be injured.

• If the batteries have leaked, remove them to avoid damaging
the diagnostic scale. You can remove battery acid that has
leaked using a dry absorbent cloth. Wear appropriate
gloves while doing this! Avoid skin contact. If electrolyte
comes into contact with skin or eyes, wash the area for at
least 15 minutes using clean water and see a doctor.
• Exercise care in handling batteries in order to prevent
shorting with conducting materials, such as rings, coins,
bracelets, and keys. The battery or the conductor can
overheat and cause burns.
• Do not dispose of the battery in a fire.
• Do not open or mutilate a battery or cell. Electrolyte from the
cell is corrosive and can cause damage to the eyes or skin.
The cell contents can also be hazardous if ingested.
• Only cells or batteries identified as "rechargeable" should be
charged.
• During normal use, batteries should not reach temperature
extremes that could cause burns. To mitigate potential burns,
batteries should not be handled immediately after use of the
device or charging.
• Charging a primary battery, by any means, may result in
leakage, fire, or explosion.
• Never short-circuit batteries, as this may lead to high
temperatures, leakage, fire, or explosion.
• Batteries should not be disassembled, crushed, punctured, or
otherwise mutilated. Such abuses may result in leakage, fire,
or explosion.

• Batteries should not be heated or exposed to temperatures
exceeding the manufacturer´s recommended maximum
temperature. Such thermal exposure may lead to leakage,
fire, or explosion.
• Chemical burn hazard. Keep batteries away from children.
• Keep cells and batteries out of reach of children, especially
small batteries fitting within the limits of the gauge as defined
in Figure 1. Ingestion may lead to choking or acute and
serious personal injury.

• Immediately seek medical attention if a cell or battery has
been swallowed. Also, contact your local poison control
center.
• This product contains a lithium button/coin cell battery. If a
new or used lithium button/coin cell battery is swallowed or
enters the body, it can cause severe internal burns and can
lead to death in as little as 2 hours. Always completely
secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment

does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the
batteries, and keep it away from children. If you think
batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any
part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
• If you see smoke, hear unusual noises or smell odors, remove
the batteries from the diagnostic scale immediately. In these
cases, do not use the diagnostic scale again before it has
been checked by an expert. Do not inhale the smoke from a
possible device fire. If you have inhaled the smoke, see a
doctor. Inhaling smoke can damage your health.
• To avoid hazards, do not damage the diagnostic scale.
• Do not expose the diagnostic scale to direct sources of heat
(for example, heaters), to direct sunlight or artificial light.
Also avoid contact with splashed water, dripping water or
aggressive liquids. Do not use the diagnostic scale near
water. In particular, do not immerse the diagnostic scale (do
not place objects filled with liquid, for example, vases or
beverages, on the diagnostic scale). Make sure that the
diagnostic scale is not subjected to excessive vibrations or
shaking. Furthermore, do not let any foreign bodies get
inside. This could damage the diagnostic scale.
• Make sure that no open fires (for example, burning candles)
are placed on or near the diagnostic scale. There is the
danger of fire!
• Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most
suitable for the intended use.

• Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior
to the battery installation.
• Remove batteries from equipment that is not to be used for
an extended period of time.
• Remove used batteries promptly.
• Battery contacts need to be clean, both on the battery and in
the appliance.
• Batteries should be removed from the appliance when not
being used for long periods of time (months).
• Choose the proper battery for the intended application.
Follow the recommendations supplied with the appliance.
• Never charge a battery unless the battery label specifically
states that it is a rechargeable battery.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Do not mix different types of batteries such as alkaline,
carbon-zinc, or rechargeable batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product.
• Batteries should be stored in a cool dry place to prevent high
temperature degradation.
• Contacts on the battery and in the device should be kept
clean.
• Follow the recommendations supplied with the device for
purchasing the proper battery.
• Proper polarity must be observed to avoid charging or
damage to either equipment or batteries.

2 Intended use
This diagnostic scale is used to determine the weight of people. In addition, it is possible to measure
your body fat and water percentage, muscle mass and bone mass and to determine the
recommended daily calorie intake. Do not use this diagnostic scale outside closed rooms or in
tropical climate zones. The diagnostic scale is not intended for use in a business or for commercial
purposes. This diagnostic scale is not a medical product and may not be used for medical
purposes. Only utilize the diagnostic scale in living areas for private use, every other use is
considered misuse. The manufacturer denies any and all liability from damage or malfunctions
resulting from such action. Use only accessories specified by the manufacturer.
Obey the regulations and laws of the country of use.

7 Before using
7.1 Activating the battery
Remove the strip from the battery compartment (7) on the
bottom of the diagnostic scale. The scale is now ready for
use.

7.2 Entering or changing personal data
Before entering personal data, make sure that the correct unit of weight is set.
See the section entitled "Switching on the scale / weighing".
When measuring your weight, recommended calorie intake, body fat and water percentage, bone
mass and muscle mass for the first time, you must enter your personal data. Proceed as follows:
• Press the SET button (3) to switch the scale on.
• The user profile memory (22) now flashes in the LCD (1). Select the desired user profile
memory (22) [from 1 to 12] using the ▲ (2) and ▼ (4) buttons. Confirm your selection using
the SET button (3).
• One after another, you may now enter the gender [male (23)/female (24)], age (26), height
and activity level using the ▲ (2) and ▼ (4) buttons. Confirm each entry using the SET button
(3).
You can specify your exercise activity using the activity level. There are 6
activity levels available: AC-1 = none, AC-2 = little, AC-3 = normal, AC-4 =
moderate, AC-5 = intensive and AC-6 = athletic.
8 First use
You need a firm base to measure your weight accurately. For this reason,
always place the diagnostic scale on a firm, horizontal floor covering, never
on a carpet. This can yield a wrong result.
To achieve comparable results, you should always weigh yourself at the same
time of day if at all possible (best in the morning). Always weigh yourself
under the same conditions if possible: before eating, after using the toilet and
with no clothing on.
Keep in mind that, if you are using the stone unit of weight, the value is not
displayed as a decimal number. The display is divided into two segments by a
colon. To the left of the colon, only the integers are displayed in the "st" unit of
weight. The rest of the weight is displayed to the right of the colon and uses
the "lb" unit of weight.
Example: shown in the display: "6:8 1/2 st:lb". This corresponds to 6 st and
8.5 lb.
For the diagnostic scale to measure weight accurately, you must calibrate it
before its first use or after it has been moved. To calibrate it, step on the scale
surface (5) briefly, step off again and wait until the diagnostic scale has
switched off automatically. The diagnostic scale is now calibrated.

8.1 Switching on the scale / weighing
With the Step-On Power function, the diagnostic scale switches on automatically when you step on
the scale surface (5) and it starts measuring your weight immediately.
As delivered, the diagnostic scale is set to the "lb" (14) unit of weight. As soon as the set unit of
weight is displayed, press the ▲ (2) or ▼ (4) buttons to change it. The selected unit of weight is
shown in the LCD (1).
Stand on the surface (5) of the diagnostic scale so that your weight is uniformly distributed. While
being weighed, try not to move as otherwise the result may be incorrect. While being weighed, the
result is shown in the LCD (1). Weighing is not finished until the display flashes twice.
8.2 Switching on the scale / weighing, measuring the
recommended calorie intake, body fat and water percentage,
bone mass and muscle mass
To make this measurement, you must first enter your personal data. Read the section entitled
"Entering or changing personal data" about doing this. Proceed as follows to make the
measurement:
• Press the SET button (3) to switch the scale on.
• Press the ▲ (2) and ▼ (4) buttons to select the desired user profile memory (22).
• Stand barefoot on the scale surface (5), making sure that you are standing on the electrodes
(6).
• The user profile memory (22) flashes several times. The set age and the adjusted height are
displayed one after the other before the measurement of the body weight begins. After the
flashing display of the body weight, the measurement of the other values begins. Stay on the
electrodes (6) until the measurement is finished. Remain as still as possible during the
weighing and measuring process as the result may be distorted otherwise.
• After a successful measurement, the following values are displayed three times, one after
another:
o Weight
o Body fat percentage (15) together with Obese (18), Overfat (19), Healthy (20) or
Underfat (21)
o Body water percentage (16)
o Muscle mass percentage (25)
o Bone mass percentage (9)
o Recommended calorie intake per day (17)

8.3 Automatic power-off
The diagnostic scale has an automatic power-off function. After displaying the measurement result,
the diagnostic scale turns itself off automatically.
8.4 Replacing the battery
Replace the battery when it is discharged. To replace the
CR2032 lithium battery, remove the cover from the
battery compartment (7) on the underside of the
diagnostic scale by placing a finger in the indentation on
the side of the battery compartment (7). Now lift the
cover from the battery compartment (7).
To remove the battery, press it down somewhat (see the
arrow direction in the figure). After this, you can remove
the battery from the holder.
Next, insert a new CR2032 lithium battery. When
inserting the battery, pay attention to the correct polarity.
The polarity is marked in the battery compartment (7).
The + symbol on the CR2032 lithium battery must be
visible as shown in the adjacent figure.
Then, place the 2 tabs of the battery compartment cover
back into the corresponding recesses and press on the
cover until it locks in place. The scale is now ready for
use.
9 Troubleshooting
9.1 Blank LCD
• The CR2032 lithium battery is discharged. Replace the CR2032 lithium battery with a new
one. Follow the notes on this in the section "Replacing the battery."
• The CR2032 lithium battery is inserted incorrectly. Follow the notes on this in the section
"Replacing the battery."

9.2 "Lo" is displayed in the LCD and the scale powers off
• The CR2032 lithium battery is almost discharged. Replace the CR2032 lithium battery with a
new one. Follow the notes on this in the section "Replacing the battery."
9.3 "USEL" is displayed in the LCD and the scale powers off
• A fault has occurred and the diagnostic scale cannot measure the weight. In this case, step
off the surface (5) of the diagnostic scale and step on it again. Weighing starts again.
9.4 "Err" is displayed in the LCD
• The weight exceeds the maximum of 180 kg or 396 lb. Step off the surface (5) of the
diagnostic scale immediately to avoid damaging it.
9.5 "Err2" is displayed in the LCD.
• The measurement did not work correctly. In this case, step off the surface (5) of the diagnostic
scale and start the measurement again. Be sure to stand on the electrodes (6).
10 Maintenance / cleaning
Maintenance work is necessary if the diagnostic scale was damaged, for example, if the device
housing is damaged, liquids or objects have gotten inside the diagnostic scale or if it was subjected
to rain or moisture. Maintenance work is also necessary if it is not operating correctly or has been
dropped. If you see smoke, hear unusual noises or smell odors, remove the battery from the
diagnostic scale immediately. In these cases, do not use the diagnostic scale again before it has
been checked by an expert. Only let qualified technicians perform maintenance work. Never open
the housing of the diagnostic scale. Clean it only with a clean, dry cloth; never use aggressive
liquids.
11 Environmental information and disposal specifications
11.1 Disposing of the packaging
Sort the packaging, before you dispose of it. Dispose of paperboard and
cardboard with the recycled paper service and wrappings with appropriate
collection service.
11.2 Disposing of used devices
Do not dispose of used devices in household trash! If you are not going to use the diagnostic scale
anymore, dispose of it in accordance with the applicable regulations in your state or country. This
ensures that used devices are recycled professionally and that there are no negative consequences
for the environment.

Make sure that disposal conforms to the local regulations and the EPA recommendations
(www.epa.gov).
11.3 Disposing of batteries
Remove the battery from the device before it is scrapped. Even used cells may cause injury. Keep
environmental protection in mind. Used batteries do not belong in household trash. You must drop
them off at a collection point for used batteries. Keep in mind that batteries may only be deposited
in the collection bin for used device batteries when discharged or if, in the case of batteries that are
only partially discharged, you have taken measures to prevent short circuits.

13 Warranty
3 years limited warranty
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
• Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
• Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or failure to follow the safety and maintenance
instructions provided in the user manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
• Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);
• Improper use or transport;
• Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
• Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water, etc.);
• Tampering with the product (such as removing cover, unscrewing screws etc.)
Consequential and incidental damages are also not covered under this warranty. However, some
states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this
limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
What is the period of coverage and warranty resolution?
The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase. At our discretion, product will either be
refunded or replaced.

reducidas, o con falta de experiencia o conocimiento, salvo

Esto podría dañar el aparato y se corre riesgo de sufrir
lesiones.
• Si se produce una fuga de líquido en las pilas, quítelas para
evitar que la báscula de diagnóstico resulte dañada. Puede
retirar el ácido de las pilas que se haya fugado mediante el
uso de un paño seco y absorbente. Para ello, utilice guantes
apropiados. Evite el contacto con la piel. En caso de que el
electrolito entre en contacto con la piel o los ojos, lave el
área afectada durante 15 minutos como mínimo con agua
limpia y busque asistencia médica.
• Tenga cuidado al manipular las pilas para evitar que hagan
cortocircuito con materiales conductores como anillos,
monedas, pulseras y llaves. La pila o el conductor pueden
recalentarse y ocasionar quemaduras.
• No arroje las pilas al fuego.
• No abra ni dañe las pilas ni las celdas. El electrolito de la
celda es corrosivo y puede causar daños en los ojos o en la
piel. El contenido de la celda también puede ser peligroso
en caso de ingestión.
• Solo se deben cargar las celdas o pilas identificadas como
"recargables".
• Durante el uso normal, las pilas no deberían alcanzar
temperaturas extremas que puedan causar quemaduras.
Para evitar eventuales quemaduras, las pilas no deben
manipularse inmediatamente después de haber usado el
aparato o de haberlas cargado.

• La carga de cualquier tipo de una pila primaria puede
provocar derrames, incendios o explosiones.
• No haga nunca un cortocircuito con las pilas, puesto que
puede provocar altas temperaturas, derrames, incendios o
explosiones.
• Las pilas no se deberían desmontar, aplastar, perforar o
manipular de ninguna otra forma. Dichos usos indebidos
pueden provocar derrames, incendios o explosiones.
• Las pilas no deberían calentarse ni exponerse a
temperaturas que superen la temperatura máxima
recomendada por el fabricante. Una exposición térmica de
este tipo puede provocar derrames, incendios o explosiones.
• Peligro de quemadura química. Mantenga las pilas fuera del
alcance de los niños.
• Mantenga las pilas y celdas fuera del alcance de los niños,
sobre todo las pilas pequeñas que quepan dentro de las
dimensiones definidas en la figura 1. La ingestión puede
causar asfixia o lesiones físicas agudas y graves.

• Busque asistencia médica inmediatamente si se ha ingerido
una celda o pila. Póngase en contacto también con su centro
de control toxicológico.
• Este producto contiene una pila de litio en forma de botón o
celda de moneda. Si se ingiere o entra en el cuerpo una pila
de litio en forma de botón o celda de moneda, puede
causar graves quemaduras internas y puede ocasionar la
muerte en tan solo 2 horas. Asegure siempre completamente
el compartimento de la pila. Si el compartimento de la pila
no cierra correctamente, deje de utilizar el producto,
extraiga las pilas y manténgalo en todo momento fuera del
alcance de los niños. Si cree que es posible que las pilas se
hayan ingerido o colocado dentro de alguna parte del
cuerpo, busque atención médica de inmediato.
• Si ve humo, oye ruidos extraños o percibe olores inusuales,
retire inmediatamente las pilas de la báscula de diagnóstico.
En estos casos, la báscula de diagnóstico no debe seguir
utilizándose hasta haber sido revisada por un técnico.
Nunca inhale el humo desprendido por un eventual incendio
del aparato. No obstante, si ha inhalado humo, acuda al
médico. La inhalación de humo puede ser perjudicial para la
salud.
• La báscula de diagnóstico no debe dañarse para evitar
situaciones de riesgo.

• No exponga la báscula de diagnóstico a fuentes de calor
directas (p. ej., calefactores) ni a los rayos del sol o luz
artificial directos. Asimismo, evite el contacto con

utilice la báscula de diagnóstico cerca del agua. En
especial, no sumerja la báscula de diagnóstico en líquidos
(no coloque objetos llenos de líquidos, p. ej., floreros o
bebidas, sobre la báscula de diagnóstico). Asegúrese de no

• Las pilas gastadas deben quitarse del producto.
• Las pilas deben ser almacenadas en un sitio fresco y seco

2 Uso previsto
Esta báscula de diagnóstico sirve para determinar el peso de personas. Además, es posible medir
la fracción de grasa corporal, de agua, muscular y ósea, y determinar el suministro calórico
recomendado por día. La báscula de diagnóstico se debe utilizar únicamente en espacios cerrados
y no debe ser empleada en regiones de clima tropical. La báscula de diagnóstico no ha sido
diseñada para ser utilizada en empresas ni para uso comercial. Esta báscula de diagnóstico no es
ningún producto médico ni se debe utilizar para propósitos médicos. Utilice la báscula de
diagnóstico únicamente en el hogar para el uso privado; cualquier otro uso se considera
incorrecto. El fabricante quedará eximido de cualquier tipo de responsabilidad sobre los daños o
fallas resultantes de ello. Utilice únicamente los accesorios señalados por el fabricante.

7 Antes del uso
7.1 Activación de la pila
Retire la banda del compartimento de la pila (7) en la parte
inferior de la báscula de diagnóstico. La báscula está
entonces lista para su uso.

7.2 Introducción o modificación de datos personales
Antes de introducir los datos personales, preste atención a que la unidad de
peso esté ajustada correctamente. Véase el capítulo "Encendido de la báscula
/ Medición del peso".
Debe introducir sus datos personales para la primera medición del peso corporal, suministro
calórico recomendado, fracción de grasa corporal, agua, ósea y muscular. Proceda de la
siguiente forma:
• Pulse la tecla SET (3) para encender la báscula.
• En la pantalla LCD (1) parpadea entonces el lugar de almacenamiento del perfil del usuario
(22). Seleccione con las teclas ▲ (2) y ▼ (4) el lugar de almacenamiento del perfil del
usuario (22) deseado [1 a 12]. Confirme la selección con la tecla SET (3).
• Entonces puede introducir sucesivamente el sexo [hombre(23)/mujer(24)], edad (26), la
estatura y el grado de actividad a través de las teclas ▲ (2) y ▼ (4). Confirme cada entrada
con la tecla SET (3).
Con el grado de actividad, puede introducir su actividad deportiva. Tiene
disponibles 6 grados de actividad: AC-1 = ninguna, AC-2 = poca, AC-3 =
normal, AC-4 = moderada, AC-5 = intensiva y AC-6 = atlético.
8 Puesta en marcha
Un requisito fundamental para que la medición de peso sea correcta es que
la base sea firme. Por este motivo, siempre coloque la báscula de diagnóstico
sobre un suelo con revestimiento firme y horizontal y nunca sobre una
alfombra. Esta podría alterar el resultado de la medición.
Para lograr resultados de medición que puedan compararse entre sí, de ser
posible debería pesarse siempre a la misma hora del día (de preferencia por
la mañana). Intente pesarse siempre en las mismas condiciones: en ayunas,
después de haber ido al baño y sin ropa.
Tenga en cuenta que con la unidad de medida "stone" el valor no se muestra
con decimales. La lectura se divide en dos segmentos mediante dos puntos. A
la izquierda de los dos puntos se muestran exclusivamente números enteros
en la unidad de medida "st". El resto del peso se muestra a la derecha de los
dos puntos en la unidad de medida "lb".
Ejemplo: Visualización en pantalla "6:8 1/2 st:lb" Esto son 6 st y 8.5 lb.
Para que la báscula de diagnóstico pueda determinar el peso con precisión,
antes del primer uso, o bien después de cambiar su lugar de emplazamiento,
se la debe calibrar. Para ello, súbase durante un instante sobre la superficie
(5), bájese y espere hasta que la báscula de diagnóstico se apague
automáticamente. La báscula de diagnóstico estará calibrada.

8.1 Encendido de la báscula / Medición del peso
Con la función de encendido al subirse (función "Step On Power"), la báscula de diagnóstico se
enciende en forma automática al subirse a la superficie (5) y comienza inmediatamente a calcular
el peso.
En estado de fábrica, la unidad de peso de la báscula de diagnóstico está ajustada en "lb" (14).
Tan pronto como la unidad de peso ajustada se muestre, pulse las teclas ▲ (2) o ▼ (4) para
modificarla. La unidad de peso seleccionada se mostrará en la pantalla LCD (1).
Colóquese sobre la superficie (5) de la báscula de diagnóstico de modo que su peso se distribuya
uniformemente. Durante el proceso de pesaje intente no moverse, ya que el resultado de la
medición podría ser incorrecto. Durante el proceso de pesaje, el resultado de la medición se
muestra en la pantalla LCD (1). La medición habrá finalizado cuando la lectura parpadee dos
veces.
8.2 Encendido de la báscula / Medición del peso, suministro
calórico recomendado, fracción de grasa corporal, agua, fracción
ósea y muscular
Para esta medición, debe introducir primero sus datos personales. Para ello, preste atención al
capítulo "Introducción o modificación de datos personales". Proceda del siguiente modo para
realizar la medición:
• Pulse la tecla SET (3) para encender la báscula.
• Pulse las teclas ▲ (2) y ▼ (4) para seleccionar el lugar de almacenamiento del perfil del
usuario (22) deseado.
• Párese descalzo sobre la superficie de la báscula (5), asegurándose de que está parado
sobre los electrodos (6).
• La memoria de perfil de usuario (22) parpadea varias veces. La edad establecida y la altura
ajustada se muestran una tras otra antes de que comience la medición del peso corporal.
Después de la visualización intermitente del peso corporal, comienza la medición de los
otros valores. Permanezca en los electrodos (6) hasta que finalice la medición. Permanezca
lo más quieto posible durante el proceso de pesaje y medición, ya que, de lo contrario, se
puede distorsionar el resultado.
• Tras realizar con éxito la medición, se le muestran los siguientes valores tres veces
consecutivas:
o Peso corporal
o Fracción de grasa corporal (15) y obesidad (18), sobrepeso (19), peso normal (20) o
peso bajo (21)
o Fracción de agua (16)
o Fracción muscular (25)
o Fracción ósea (9)
o Suministro calórico recomendado por día (17)

8.3 Apagado automático
La báscula de diagnóstico dispone de apagado automático (Auto-Power-off). Después de mostrar
el resultado de la medición, la báscula de diagnóstico se apaga automáticamente.
8.4 Cambio de la pila
Cambie la pila cuando esté gastada. Para cambiar la
pila de litio CR2032, retire la tapa del compartimento
de la pila (7) situada en la parte inferior de la báscula
de diagnóstico introduciendo un dedo en el hueco
lateral del compartimento (7). A continuación, levante la
tapa del compartimento de la pila (7).
Para extraer la pila, deslícela un poco hacia abajo
(véase la dirección de la flecha en la figura). A
continuación, puede extraer la pila del soporte.
Posteriormente, coloque una pila nueva de litio CR2032.
Al colocarla, tenga en cuenta la polaridad correcta. La
polaridad está marcada en el compartimento de la pila
(7). El símbolo positivo + sobre la pila de litio CR2032
debe estar visible, como se muestra en la figura
adyacente.
A continuación, coloque los 2 picos guía de la tapa del
compartimento de la pila nuevamente en las cavidades
y presione la tapa del compartimento de la pila hasta
que el bloqueo encastre. La báscula está entonces lista
para su uso.
9 Resolución de problemas
9.1 Pantalla LCD en blanco
• La pila de litio CR2032 está gastada. Cambie la pila de litio CR2032 por una nueva. Tenga
en cuenta para ello las indicaciones del capítulo "Cambio de la pila".
• La pila de litio CR2032 está mal colocada. Tenga en cuenta para ello las indicaciones del
capítulo "Cambio de la pila".

9.2 En la pantalla LCD se visualiza "Lo" y la báscula se apaga.
• La pila de litio CR2032 está casi vacía. Cambie la pila de litio CR2032 por una nueva.
Tenga en cuenta para ello las indicaciones del capítulo "Cambio de la pila".
9.3 En la pantalla LCD se visualiza "USEL" y la báscula se apaga.
• Ha ocurrido un error y la báscula de diagnóstico no puede medir el peso. En este caso,
bájese de la superficie (5) de la báscula de diagnóstico y vuelva a subirse. La medición de
peso comenzará nuevamente.
9.4 En la pantalla LCD se visualiza "Err".
• El peso supera el máximo de 180 kg o 396 lb. Debe bajarse inmediatamente de la
superficie (5) de la báscula de diagnóstico para evitar dañarla.
9.5 En la pantalla LCD se visualiza "Err2".
• Ha ocurrido una medición errónea. En este caso, bájese de la superficie (5) de la
báscula de diagnóstico y comience de nuevo la medición. Asegúrese de pararse sobre
los electrodos (6).
10 Mantenimiento / limpieza
Si la báscula de diagnóstico ha sido dañada, será necesario realizar tareas de mantenimiento,
p. ej., si la carcasa del aparato está dañada, si han ingresado líquidos o cuerpos extraños en el
interior de la báscula de diagnóstico o si esta ha sido expuesta a lluvia o humedad. Las tareas de
mantenimiento también son necesarias si el aparato no funciona correctamente o se ha caído. Si
ve humo, oye ruidos extraños o percibe olores inusuales, retire inmediatamente la pila de la
báscula de diagnóstico. En estos casos, la báscula de diagnóstico no debe seguir utilizándose
hasta haber sido revisada por un técnico. Las tareas de mantenimiento solo deben ser realizadas
por personal técnico calificado. Nunca abra la carcasa de la báscula de diagnóstico. Límpiela
únicamente con un paño limpio y seco, nunca con líquidos corrosivos.
11 Información medioambiental y datos para la eliminación
11.1 Eliminación del embalaje
Separe el embalaje antes de eliminarlo. Deseche el cartón y el papel con el servicio
de reciclaje para papel y los envoltorios con el servicio de recolección adecuado.
11.2 Eliminación de dispositivos usados
No deseche los dispositivos usados en la basura doméstica. Si ya no utilizará la báscula de
diagnóstico, deséchela conforme a las normas vigentes de su estado o país. De esta manera se

asegura que los dispositivos usados se reciclen de forma profesional y que no haya consecuencias
negativas para el medio ambiente.
Asegúrese de que la eliminación se realice conforme a las normativas locales y a las
recomendaciones EPA (www.epa.gov).
11.3 Eliminación de las pilas
La pila se debe quitar del aparato antes de desecharlo. Incluso las celdas usadas pueden
ocasionar lesiones. Piense en la protección del medio ambiente. Las pilas usadas no forman parte
de la basura doméstica. Debe llevarlas a un centro de recolección de pilas usadas. Tenga en
cuenta que las pilas solo deben ser colocadas en los depósitos estando descargadas; con las pilas
que no estén completamente descargadas se deben tomar las medidas necesarias para evitar
cortocircuitos.

• Accidentes o causas de fuerza mayor (e.g. relámpagos, incendio, inundación, etc.).
• Manipulación mal intencionada del producto (retirar la cubierta, tornillos, etc.).
La presente garantía tampoco cubre daños indirectos o emergentes. Sin embargo algunos estados
no permiten la exclusión o limitación de daños indirectos o emergentes, por lo que dicha exclusión
o limitación pudiera no aplicarse en su caso.
Período de cobertura y resolución de la garantía
La garantía es válida por 3 años a partir de la fecha de compra. La empresa, según lo estime
conveniente, devolverá el dinero o repondrá el producto.
La empresa no:
• Dará inicio a un nuevo período de garantía al hacerse el cambio del producto.
• Reparará el producto.

A fin de acelerar el trámite de la garantía, tenga a bien contar con lo siguiente:
• Recibo de venta original que incluya la fecha de compra.
• Producto y manual en su empaque original.
• Descripción del problema.
¿Qué debe hacer usted para mantener la garantía vigente?
• Guardar el recibo original.
• Seguir todas las instrucciones para el uso del producto.
• No realizar ninguna reparación ni alteración al producto.
