It is used for signaling light levels to Wattstopper lighting control panels and devices that control exterior lighting. • Typically the EM-24xx is mounted on the exterior or roof of a building with the light sensing window facing north. • The EM-24xx’s 1/2” threaded male conduit base can be connected to conduit fittings or to junction boxes with the supplied locknut. • For the EM-24A2, connect 24 VAC to the two black wires. Normally, this power is supplied from the lighting control panel or device the photocell serves. • For the EM-24D2, connect to 24VDC with black wire to (-)DC and the white wire to (+)DC polarity. • The relay contact red wires are connected to the lighting control panel or to a low voltage controlled load. Contacts are rated 1A@30VAC/VDC. MOUNTING AND WIRING Mount on exterior or roof of building. Point light sensing window north. Sliding window. As it is moved up, lights turn on earlier, and turn off later.
