Introduction

Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in th

is manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer

will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

A qualified technician should in

stall and service this device.

This device falls under protection class I. It is therefor

e essential that the device be earthed. Have a qualified

person carry out the electric connection.

Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed t

he voltage stated in the specif

ications of this manual.

Do not crimp the power cord and prot

ect it against damage. Have an authorised

dealer replace it if necessary.

Disconnect the device from the mains to

clean it or when it is not in use. H

andle the power cord by the plug only.

There may be some smoke or a particular smell when the dev

ice is activated for the fi

rst time. This is normal and

any smoke or smell will gradually disappear.

Note that damage caused by user modifications

to the device are not covered by the warranty.

Keep the device away from ch

ildren and unauthorised users.

Do not direct the device towards anybody.

Use adapted smoke liquid only and don't heat the liquid.

Make sure there is always enough liquid in the tank; if not the dev

ice could overheat.

Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device bef

ore actually using it. Do not

allow operation by unqualified people.

Use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.

All modifications of the device

are forbidden for safety reasons.

Only use the device for its intended purpose. Other uses

may lead to short circuits, burns, electroshocks etc.

Using the device in an unauthorised

way will void the warranty.

Empty the tank prior to

transporting the device.

Installation

a) Smoke Liquid

Please use non-inflammable water-based smoke fluid without oil or grease.

Non-recommended smoke liquid may damage

the machine and void the warranty.

1. Unplug the device from the mains.

2. Unscrew the cap from the

tank (on top of the device).

3. Carefully pour smoke liquid into the tank; nev

er fill over the "Maxim

um" mark at the back.

4. Reposition the cap on the tank and close it firmly.

Remark: Do not operate the device when the tank is open.

b) Fuse

Only fit or replace a fuse when t

he device is unplugged from the mains.

Replace a blown fuse with a fuse of the same type and rating:

1. Unplug the device from the mains.

2. Unscrew the fuse holder at the

back with an appropriate screwdriver.

3. Remove the old fuse and install a new one.

4. Replace the fuse holder and

fasten it with the screwdriver.

Operating

Connect the adequate controller in the rear part of the device, depending on the chosen control.

a) Wire Controller

Connect it and wait until the LED lights on. On this moment the fog machine is ready to work. Keep pushed the button to spray smoke. When the LED lights off, the inner relay will wait until the

temperature reachs the correct value, the LED will light on again and the device will be prepared to work again.

b) Timer Controller (MF 900 / MF 1500 DMX)

Connect it and with MINUTE control, set the time intervale (in minutes),when the

device will spray smoke 30 minutes max.). With the SECOND control, it is possible

to set the duration of the spraying in seconds ( 15 seconds max.). The quantity of

sprayed smoke is set with the VOLUME control.

Pull down in the arrow direction to tun on. The address switch shown on the diagram

is preset as “1".

c) DMX-512 Control (Only MF 1500 DMX)

This device uses 1 channel to spray smoke. Connect a DMX

controller in the DMX INPUT connector ( 1: GND, 2: -, 3: +)

DMX OUTPUT allows to link with another DMX device.

Select the DMX starting address using dip switches. The

address is set using the adecuate dip in order to compose

the address number (row: 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256).

For example: Address 25: Move to on dips 1,8 & 16.

Increasing the value of DMX signal, the output volume will increase too.

Instalación

a) Líquido de Humo

Por favor, utilice líquido no inflamable sin aceites ni grasa.

El uso de líquido distinto al recomendado puede dañar la unidad.

1. Desconecte la unidad de la alimentación

2. Destornille la tapa del depósito.

3. Rellene el depósito cuidadosamente. Nunca lo llene hasta la marca “Maximum”

4. Vuelva a colocar la tapa del depósito y aprietela firmemente.

Atención: No maneje la unidad con el depósito abierto.

b) Fusible

Cambie el fusible únicamente con la unidad desconectada.

Sustituya el fusible fundido por otro del mismo tipo y valor.

1. Desconecte la unidad de la alimentación.

2. Destornille el portafusible de la parte trasera con un destornillador.

3. Retire el fusible antiguo y sustitúyalo por otro nuevo

4. Vuelva a colocar la tapa del portafusible y aprietele firmemente

Funcionamiento

Conecte el controlador adecuado en la parte trasero de la unidad, dependiendo del control elegido.

a) Controlador con cable

Conéctelo y espere hasta que el LED se encienda. En ese momento la unidad está preparada. Así que pulse el botón para pulverizar el humo. Cuando el LED se apague, el relé interno esperará

hasta alcanzar la temperatura correcta, el LED se encenderá otra vez y el dispositivo estará preparado para actuar de nuevo.

b) Controlador con Temporizador (MF 900 / MF 1500 DMX)

Conéctelo y configure con el mando MINUTE el intervalo de tiempo en minutos

(30 minutos max.) que desea que la unidad pulverice el humo. Con el mando

SECOND se controla la duración de la proyección de humo en segundos

(15 segundos max.). Con el mando VOLUME, es posible ajustar la cantidad de

humo proyectado por el dispositivo.

Mueva los dip en el sentido de la flecha para pasarlos a “ON”. La dirección mostrada en el

ejemplo adjunto está configurada en “1".

c) Control DMX-512 (Sólo MF 1500 DMX)
