HOW TO USE VIBRADENT SPARKLE
1. Attach the brush head to the handle by positioning
the brush head at a 90
o
angle to the left of the
handle. Turn the brush head counter clockwise one
quarter turn, so the bristles are facing the same
direction as the ON/OFF button. (See Fig.1)
2. Before brushing, rinse your mouth thoroughly and
wet the brush head to moisten, then apply tooth
paste.
3. To avoid splashing, guide the brush head to your
teeth before switching the unit on. Place the brush in a
slanted position, 45
o
towards the gum line.
4. Press the “ON” button to activate the unit.
5. Gently guide the brush head from tooth to tooth,
spending a few seconds on the surface of each
tooth.
6. Brush the gumlines as well as the teeth, starting
with the outside teeth and gums, followed by the
insides and finishing with the chewing surfaces.
7. Do not press too hard or scrub with VibraDent Sparkle.
Allow the unit to do the work.
8. The auto timer feature will automatically turn the unit off
after the 2-minute dentist recommended brushing time.
NOTE: To turn the unit off before the 2 minutes have
elapsed, simply press the “OFF” button.
9. Rinse mouth thoroughly with water.
10. Brush heads should be replaced every 2-3 months
to ensure optimal performance.
HoMedics replacement heads (RH-V) for this
model are available at your local retailer or check
www.homedics.com for a list of retailers that offer
these replacement heads.
CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow this procedure before you use
VibraDent Sparkle for the first time
.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appli-
ance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit
fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to
install the proper outlet. Do not change the
plug in any way.
1. Plug the charger base into a 120-volt outlet.
Place the handle into the base and allow it
to charge for at least 16 hours before using
it for the first time.
2. The charger indicator light will show red
when the unit is correctly placed in the
charger base. The indicator will go out
when the toothbrush is removed from the
base.
3. The optimum voltage for charging is 120V.
4. To maintain the unit’s full performance, it
should always be stored on the charging
base after use.
Note: Charge for at least 16 hours before
using the unit for the first time.

MEDICAL SAFEGUARDS
Please note the following instructions for your continued
safety.
1. Similar to starting any new oral hygiene product,
contact your dentist before using VibraDent Sparkle if
you have had oral or periodontal surgery.
2. Contact your dentist if excessive bleeding occurs or if
bleeding continues after 2 weeks.
3. This product is designed for cleaning teeth and gums
only. Do not use for any other purpose.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
REMOVING AND DISPOSING OF NI-CAD BATTERIES
VibraDent Sparkle is equipped with long-lasting,
rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries. To help protect
our environment, they should be removed at the end of
the unit’s life for safe disposal. Batteries CANNOT
be
replaced.
To remove the batteries before discarding product:
1. Place the handle in the charging base and turn
counter clockwise to remove the cap.
2. Slide the battery out of the handle and remove.
3. Dispose of the cell-pack in compliance with national or
local regulations for environmental protection and
recycling of raw materials. Do not dispose of the
cell-pack by burning or incineration.
Caution:
Opening the
handle will
destroy the
appliance and
invalidate the

Note: During the
first few days of
using, your
gums may bleed
slightly. Any
bleeding should
stop within a
few days. If your
gums continue
to bleed for a
period of 2
weeks or more,
discontinue use
and consult
your dentist.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. After use, rinse the brush head for several seconds
under running water with the handle switched on.
2. Switch the handle off, and take off the brush head.
3. Rinse both parts separately under running water
and wipe them dry. Note: Be sure to point the
handle downward (upside down) when rinsing. Do
not allow water to drain down into the handle.
4. After cleaning place the VibraDent Sparkle handle
back on the charging base.
5. When VibraDent Sparkle is not in use for an
extended period, unplug the cord and store.
6. Clean the charger base periodically with a soft cloth
or paper towel. The charger base must be dry
before plugging it into an electrical outlet.
Note: To maintain
optimal
performance, we
recommend that
you replace your
brush head every
2-3 months.

mend soaking

a denture cleaner
(commercially
available) every 2
to 4 weeks to

HoMedics, Inc., guarantees this product free from defects in material
and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original
purchase, except as noted below.
This HoMedics product warranty does not cover damage caused by
misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized acces-
sory; alteration to the product; or any other conditions whatsoever that
are beyond the control of HoMedics. This warranty is effective only if
the product is purchased and operated in the USA. A product that
requires modification or adaptation to enable it to operate in any coun-
try other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured,
approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these
modifications is not covered under warranty. HoMedics shall not be
responsible for any type of incidental, consequential or special dam-
ages. All implied warranties, including but not limited to those implied
warranties of fitness and merchantability, are limited in the total dura-
tion of one year from the original purchase date.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, either hand
deliver or mail the unit and your dated sales receipt (as proof of pur-
chase), postpaid, along with check or money order in the amount of
$5.00 payable to HoMedics, Inc. to cover handling.
Upon receipt, HoMedics will repair or replace, as appropriate, your
product and return it to you, postpaid. If it is appropriate to replace
your product, HoMedics will replace the product with the same prod-
uct or a comparable product at HoMedics’ option. Warranty is solely
through HoMedics Service Center. Service of this product by anyone
other than HoMedics Service Center voids warranty.
This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have
additional rights which may vary from state to state. Because of indi-
vidual state regulations, some of the above limitations and exclusions
may not apply to you.

INSTRUCCIONES DE CARGA
Siga este procedimiento antes de usar por primera
vez su VibraDent Sparkle.
Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, este arte-
facto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una paleta es
más ancha que la otra). Este enchufe puede enchu-
farse en un tomacorriente polarizado sólo de una
forma. Si éste no entra totalmente en el tomacorri-
ente, invierta la posición del enchufe. Si aún no
entra, póngase en contacto con un electricista califi-
cado para que instale un tomacorriente adecuado.
No cambie el enchufe en modo alguno.
1. Enchufe la base-cargador en un tomacorriente
de 120 voltios. Coloque el mango en la base y
déjelo cargarse por no menos de 16 horas antes
de usarlo por primera vez.
2. La luz del cargador se verá roja cuando la
unidad esté colocada correctamente en la base-
cargador. El indicador se apagará cuando el
cepillo se retire de la base.
3. El voltaje más indicado para la carga es 120
voltios.
4. Para mantener el mejor funcionamiento de la
unidad, ésta siempre debe guardarse en la base-
cargador después de usarla.
Atención: Cargue la unidad por no menos de 16
horas antes de usarla por primera vez.

CÓMO USAR EL VIBRADENT SPARKLE
1. Sujete la cabeza del cepillo al mango colocando la cabeza a un
ángulo de 900 hacia la izquierda del mango. Gire la cabeza del
cepillo un cuarto de giro en sentido antihorario, en modo que las
cerdas queden en la misma dirección del botón
ENCENDIDO/APAGADO (ON/OFF). (Ver Fig. 1)
2. Antes de cepillarse, enjuague bien su boca y moje la cabeza del
cepillo para humedecerla, luego aplique la pasta dental.
3. Para evitar salpicaduras, dirija la cabeza del cepillo hacia sus
dientes antes de encender la unidad. Coloque el cepillo con una
inclinación de 45º en dirección a la línea de la encía.
4. Oprima el botón “ON” para encender la unidad.
5. Dirija suavemente la cabeza del cepillo de un diente a otro, deján-
dola unos segundos sobre la superficie de cada diente.
6. Además de cepillar los dientes cepille también la línea de la
encía, comenzando desde la parte exterior de los dientes y la
encía, siguiendo por la parte interior y finalizando con las superfi-
cies de masticación.
7. No presione demasiado fuerte ni frote con el VibraDent Sparkle.
Deje que la unidad haga el trabajo.
8. La característica del cronómetro automático apagará
automáticamente la unidad luego de los 2 minutos de cepillado
recomendados por el dentista. Atención: Para apagar la unidad
antes de que transcurran los 2 minutos simplemente oprima el
botón "OFF" (encedido/apagado).
9. Enjuáguese bien la boca con agua.
10. Las cabezas del cepillo deben reemplazarse cada 2-3 meses
para asegurar un rendimiento óptimo.
Las cabezas de reemplazo de HoMedics (RH-V) para este mode-
lo están disponibles en su distribuidor local o consulte
www.homedics.com para obtener una lista de los distribuidores
que ofrecen estas cabezas de reemplazo.

LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
1. Después de usar, enjuague la cabeza del cepillo por varios
segundos bajo de agua corriente con el mango encendido.
2. Apague el mango y retire la cabeza del cepillo.
3. Enjuague ambas partes por separado bajo agua corriente
y séquelas. Atención: Asegúrese de dirigir el mango hacia
abajo (parte superior hacia abajo) cuando lo enjuague. No
deje que le entre agua al mango.
4. Después de limpiar, coloque el mango del VibraDent
Sparkle nuevamente en la base-cargador.
5. Si no se usa el VibraDent Sparkle por un largo período de
tiempo, desenchufe el cable y guarde la unidad.
6. Limpie la base periódicamente con un paño suave o una
toalla de papel. La base debe estar seca antes de enchu-
farla en un tomacorriente eléctrico.
PRECAUCIONES MÉDICAS
Tenga en cuenta las siguientes instrucciones para su seguridad.
1. Al igual que con cualquier producto nuevo de higiene bucal,
contacte a su dentista antes de usar el VibraDent Sparkle si ha
tenido una intervención quirúrgica bucal o periodontal.
2. Contacte a su dentista si aparece un sangrado excesivo o si el
mismo continúa después de 2 semanas.
3. Este producto está concebido para limpiar dientes y encías
solamente. No utilice el producto con ningún otro fin.
INSTRUCCIONES ESPECIALES
CÓMO QUITAR Y ELIMINAR LAS BATERÍAS DE NI-CAD
El VibraDent Sparkle está equipado con baterías recargables de
níquel-cadmio. Para ayudar a proteger nuestro medio ambiente,
éstas deben ser quitadas al final de la vida útil de la unidad, para
ser desechadas de un modo seguro. Las baterías NO SE PUEDEN
reemplazar.
Para quitar las baterías antes de desechar el producto:
1. Coloque el mango en la base-cargador y gírelo en sentido anti-
horario para quitar la tapa.
2. Deslice la batería fuera del mango y retírela.
3. Deseche el paquete de la célula de acuerdo con las regula-
ciones locales o nacionales de protección al medio ambiente y
reciclado de materia prima. No deseche el paquete de la célula
quemándolo o incinerándolo.
