When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including
the following:

• Do not use the unit, store, or charge battery outdoors or on wet surfaces. Do not allow to get wet.
• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Not intended for use by children age 12 and under. Close
supervision is necessary when used by or near children. To avoid injury or damage, keep children
away from product, and do not allow children to place fingers or other objects into any openings.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
• Do not use charger with damaged cord or plug. If appliance or charger is not working as it should,
has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, take it to a service center prior to
continuing use.
• Do not pull or carry charger by cord, use cord as handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around
sharp edges or corners. Do not place product on cord. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord
away from heated surfaces.
• Do not unplug charger by pulling on cord. To unplug charger, grasp the charger, not the cord.
• Do not handle charger, including charger plug, and charger terminals with wet hands.
• Do not put any objects into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free
of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and
moving parts.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. Do not place cleaner on stairs or furniture, as it may result in
injury or damage.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they
may be present.
• Turn power switch off before removing or installing powered nozzle.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or
hot ashes.
• Do not use without filters and/or dirt cup in place.
• WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth
defects or reproductive harm.
WASH HANDS AFTER USING.
• Do not incinerate the charger, battery, or appliance even if it is severely damaged. The batteries can
explode in a fire.
• This product includes rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Do not expose batteries to high
temperatures, as they may catch fire and/or explode.
• Do not expose battery to crushing, incineration or similar actions.
• Do not dispose of battery in a fire or trash compactor. See battery disposal section for directions.
• Do not attempt to disassemble battery.
• Unplug the charger from the outlet before any routine cleaning or maintenance.
• Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme conditions. If any liquid gets on the skin wash
quickly with soap and water. If any liquid gets into the eyes, immediately flush them with clean water
continuously for a minimum of 15 minutes. Seek medical attention immediately.
• Use only the charger supplied by Royal Appliance to recharge.
• Do not attempt to short circuit the battery or charger terminals.
• The charger is for indoor use only. Be sure to always keep the battery and charger in a dry place.

A THERMAL PROTECTOR HAS BEEN DESIGNED INTO YOUR
CLEANER TO PROTECT IT FROM OVERHEATING. WHEN THE
THERMAL PROTECTOR ACTIVATES THE CLEANER WILL STOP
RUNNING.
If this happens proceed as follows:
1. Turn cleaner OFF.
2. Empty dirt cup.
3. Inspect the nozzle opening, dirt cup inlet and filter. Clear obstructions if present.
4. When cleaner is turned off and motor cools for 30 minutes, the thermal protector
will deactivate and cleaning may continue.
If the thermal protector continues to activate after following the above
steps, your cleaner needs servicing.

• Put product away after use to prevent tripping accidents.
• CAUTION: Not to be used for grooming a pet.

• Avoid picking up hard, sharp objects with this product, as they may cause damage.
• Store appropriately indoors in a dry place. Do not expose machine to freezing temperatures.

The battery used in this device may present a risk of fire or
chemical burn if mistreated. Do not disassemble, heat above manufacturer’s maximum
temperature limit (60°C/140°F), or incinerate. Dispose of battery promptly. Keep away from
children. Do not disassemble and do not dispose of in fire. Do not attempt to disassemble
the battery or remove any component projecting from the battery terminals. The battery and
charger have no user serviceable parts. Fire or injury may result. Prior to disposal, protect
exposed terminals with heavy insulating tape to prevent shorting.

The battery must be collected, recycled or disposed of in an environmentally sound
manner. The EPA certified RBRC Battery Recycling Seal on the lithium-ion
(Li-ion) battery indicated Techtronic Industries, a corporate affiliate of Dirt Devil., is
voluntarily participating in an industry program to collect and recycle these batteries
at the end of their useful life, when taken out of service in the United States or
Canada. The RBRC program provides a convenient alternative to placing used
Li-ion batteries into the trash or the municipal waste stream, which may be illegal in
your area. Please visit www.rbrc.org/call2recycle/ for information on Li-ion battery
recycling and disposal bans/restrictions in your area. Dirt Devil, involvement in this
program is part of our commitment to preserving our environment and conserving our

products purchased in the United States, U.S. Military Exchanges and Canada.

damage due to misuse, acts of God, nature, vandalism or other acts beyond the control of Royal
Appliance Mfg. Co. (“Royal”, “we”), owner’s acts or omissions, use outside the country in which the
product was initially purchased and resales of the product by the original owner. This warranty does not
cover pick up, delivery, transportation or house calls.
This warranty does not apply to products purchased outside the United States, including its territories
and possessions, outside a U.S. Military Exchange and outside of Canada. This warranty does not
cover products purchased from a party that is not an authorized retailer, dealer, or distributor of
Royal products.
OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS
This Warranty is not transferable and may not be assigned. This Warranty shall be governed and
construed under the laws of the state of Ohio. The Warranty Period will not be extended by any

Voici ce qu'il faut faire lorsque ceci survient :
1. Éteignez l'appareil et Désactiver-le de la prise de courant.
2. Videz le vide-poussière.
3. Inspectez l'ouverture de la buse, le vide-poussière et le filtre. Dégagez toutes les
obstructions visibles.
4. Le rupteur thermique se réinitialisera après le débranchement de l'appareil et
que le moteur ait refroidi pendant 30 minutes et vous pourrez à ce moment
reprendre le travail.
Votre appareil devra être réparé si le rupteur thermique ne se réinitialise
pas après avoir respecté les étapes ci-dessus.

SE HA COLOCADO UN PROTECTOR TÉRMICO EN
SU ASPIRADORA PARA PROTEGERLA CONTRA EL
SOBRECALENTAMIENTO. CUANDO DICHO PROTECTOR SE
ACTIVE, LA ASPIRADORA DEJARÁ DE FUNCIONAR.
De ser así, proceda como se indica a continuación:
1. APAGUE la aspiradora y desenchúfela del tomacorriente.
2. Vacíe la copa de recolección de residuos.
3. Revise la abertura de la boquilla, la entrada de la copa y el filtro. Limpie cualquier
obstrucción presente.
4. Una vez que la aspiradora esté apagado y el motor se haya enfriado durante 30
minutos, el protector térmico se desactivará y usted podrá retomar la limpieza.
Si el protector térmico continúa activándose luego de haber seguido los
pasos anteriores, significa que su aspiradora requiere de un servicio de
mantenimiento.

• Evite aspirar objetos duros y filosos con este producto, ya que pueden dañarlo.
• Almacénelo apropiadamente en interiores, en un lugar seco. No exponga la máquina a

• No deje que la herramienta para escaleras o la boquilla mecánicas permanezcan
apoyadas en un lugar por mucho tiempo con el cepillo giratorio en funcionamiento. Esto

• Cuando limpie su automóvil, deberá hacerlo cuando este se encuentre en el garaje.
