Carobrake drar åt fordonets original parkeringsbromsvajer. Tänkt på att prestandan
försämras om produktens vajer installeras i en böjd position. Carobrake ersätter
funktionen av handbromsspaken och ska inte användas i kombination med denna.

Installation
För en stabil och hållbar installation /
A, Placera samtliga vajrar så parallellt med varandra som möjligt. Ju rakare installation
desto högre prestanda och mindre slitage.
B, Montera vajern i någon typ av konsol (medföljer inte produkten) för att upprätthålla
en rak och stabil installation när konstruktionen rör sig.
C, Använd muttrar med rundat huvud för samtliga vajerinfästningar. Detta tillåter fästet
att rulla mot muttrarna när konstruktionen rör sig. Om muttrarna har en plan yta ges
ingen flexibilitet, vajrarna böjs och riskerar att gå av.
D, Dra inte åt muttrarna på någon av vajerinfästningarna. Detta tillåter vajrarna att löpa
fritt när konstruktionen rör sig. Om muttrarna dras åt ges ingen flexibilitet, varjrarna
böjs och riskerar att gå av.
E, Undvik att böja vajern då prestandan försämras och slitaget på vajern ökar. Om
vajern trots allt måste böjas får radien inte understiga 300 mm.
F, Placera ställdonet så att sprinten inte utsättas för mekanisk påverkan. Då riskerar
sprinten att lossa och falla ur. Ställdonet ska heller inte placeras i närheten av varma
komponenter som till exempel avgasrör.

Carobrake tensions the vehicle’s original parking brake cable. Note that performance
deteriorates if the product’s cable is installed bent. Carobrake replaces the function
of the handbrake lever and should not be used in combination with it. The actuator
itself can be fitted in or under the vehicle, depending on the prevailing circumstances.
Carobrake has been tested and approved for handling 30,000 cycles with a 5-minute
rest between each cycle.
Ensure the force is sucient for the intended type of vehicle, fitting and use before
installation.

Installation
For a stable and sustainable installation /
A, Position all cables as much as possible in parallel to each other. The straighter the
installation, the better the performance and the lesser the wear.
B, Install the cable in some form of console (not included with the product) in order to
keep a straight and stable installation when the construction moves.
C, Use nuts with rounded heads on all cable attachments. This will allow the attachment
to roll against the nuts when the construction moves. Nuts with flat heads will not allow
any flexibility, whereby the cables will bend and risk breaking.
D, Do not tighten the nuts on any of the cable attachments. This will allow the cables
to move freely as the construction moves. Tightened nuts will not allow any flexibility,
whereby the cables will bend and risk breaking.
E, Avoid bending the cable as this will impair performance and increase wear on the
cable. If the cable despite this must be bent, the radius of the bend must not be less than
300 mm.
F, Place the actuator so that no mechanical impact is exerted on the pin. This would
involve a risk of the pin coming loose and falling out. The actuator should not be placed
in the vicinity of hot components either, such as the exhaust pipe.

Installation
Carobrake replaces the function of the handbrake lever and should not be used in
combination with it.
To apply the parking brake
Press the switch to activate Carobrake. The lamp in the switch lights up straight away
but there will be a 5 - 15 second delay before the parking brake is applied.
To release the parking brake
Press the switch to deactivate Carobrake. The lamp in the switch goes out straight
away but there will be a 5 - 15 second delay before the parking brake is released. Do
not put the vehicle in motion before the parking brake is released.
• The product documentation shall always accompany the vehicle for an MOT inspection.
• Always contact your installer when dismantling.

Für einen stabilen und haltbaren Einbau /
A, Sämtliche Drahtseile so parallel zueinander wie möglich platzieren. Je geradliniger der Ein-
bau ist, desto höher ist die Leistung und desto geringer ist der Verschleiß.
B, Das Drahtseil in einer Art von Konsole montieren (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten), damit
der Einbau gerade und stabil bleibt, wenn die Konstruktion sich bewegt.
C, Für sämtliche Drahtseilbefestigungen Muttern mit abgerundetem Kopf verwenden. Das
ermöglicht es der Halterung, gegen die Muttern zu rollen, wenn die Konstruktion sich bewegt.
Wenn die Muttern eine flache Oberfläche haben, ist keine Beweglichkeit da, die Drahtseile
biegen sich und laufen Gefahr, sich zu lösen.
D, Die Muttern nicht an einer der Drahtseilhalterungen anziehen. Dadurch können die Draht-
seile frei laufen, wenn die Konstruktion sich bewegt. Wenn die Muttern angezogen werden, ist
keine Beweglichkeit da, die Drahtseile werden gebogen und laufen Gefahr, sich zu lösen.
E, Vermeiden Sie, das Drahtseil zu biegen, weil sich dadurch die Leistung verringert und der
Verschleiß des Drahtseils zunimmt. Wenn das Drahtseil trotz allem gebogen werden muss,
darf der Radius nicht kleiner sein als 300 mm.

Le Carobrake tire le câble du frein de stationnement. Il est à noter que la force utile
diminue si le câble est tiré dans une direction oblique. Le Carobrake ne remplace pas
le levier du frein de stationnement et ne doit pas être utilisé en combinaison avec
celui-ci. L’actionneur peut être placé dans ou sous le véhicule selon les contraintes
techniques.

Installation
Pour une installation stable et durable
A. Placez les câbles de façon à ce qu’ils soient aussi parallèles que possible. Plus l’installa-
tion est rectiligne, plus la force utile est grande et plus l’usure est faible.
B. Fixez le câble à un support (non fourni) pour assurer une installation rectiligne et
stable lorsque l’assemblage est en mouvement.
C. Utilisez des écrous à tête arrondie à chaque point d’attache de câble. Ceci permet à
l’attache de rouler sur les écrous lorsque l’assemblage est en mouvement. Des écrous à
surface plane gênent l’articulation : les câbles se plient et risquent de se rompre.
D. Ne serrez pas les écrous des attaches de câble. Les câbles peuvent ainsi glisser libre-
ment lorsque l’assemblage est en mouvement. Des écrous serrés gênent l’articulation :
les câbles se plient et risquent de se rompre.
E. Évitez de plier le câble car cela réduit la force utile et accélère l’usure du câble. Si vous
devez plier le câble, le rayon ne doit pas être inférieur à 300 mm.
F. Mettez en place l’actionneur en veillant à ce que la goupille ne puisse pas subir une
action mécanique. Autrement, la goupille risquerait de se détacher et de tomber. Ne
placez pas l’actionneur à proximité de composants chauds tels que le tuyau d’échappe-
ment.

Para una instalación estable y resistente/
A, Coloque todos los cables lo más paralelos posible. Cuando más recta sea la insta-

una instalación recta y estable cuando la construcción se mueva.
C, Utilice tuercas con cabeza redonda para todas las sujeciones de cable. Esto permite
que el soporte se deslice contra las tuercas cuando la construcción se mueva. Si las tuer-
cas tienen una superficie plana, no hay flexibilidad, los cables se doblan y pueden soltarse.
D,No apriete las tuercas en ninguna de las sujeciones de cable. De esa manera, los ca-

Carobrake tira il cavo del freno di stazionamento originale del veicolo. Ricordare che
le prestazioni si riducono se il cavo del prodotto viene installato in posizione piega-
ta. Carobrake sostituisce la funzione della leva del freno a mano e non deve essere
utilizzato insieme a tale leva. L’attuatore può essere collocato dentro o sotto il veicolo
in base alle condizioni specifiche.
Carobrake è testato e omologato per eseguire 30.000 cicli con un intervallo di pausa
di 5 minuti fra un ciclo e l’altro.
Prima dell’installazione, verificare che la forza sia suciente per il tipo di veicolo, il
montaggio e l’uso previsti.

Per un’installazione stabile e duratura /
A, Sistemare tutti i cavi in modo che siano il più possibile paralleli fra loro. Più l’installa-
zione risulta diritta, migliori sono le prestazioni e minore l’usura.
B, Montare il cavo in una staa adatta (non in dotazione) in modo da mantenere un’in-
stallazione diritta e stabile quando la struttura si muove.
C, Utilizzare dadi a testa arrotondata per tutti i fermi dei cavi. In tal modo, l’attacco può
rotolare verso i dadi quando la struttura si muove. I dadi con superficie piana non oro-
no alcuna flessibilità e i cavi si piegano rischiando di spezzarsi.
D, Non serrare i dadi in alcun fermo dei cavi. In tal modo, i cavi possono scorrere libera-
mente quando la struttura si muove. I dadi serrati non orono alcuna flessibilità e i cavi si
piegano rischiando di spezzarsi.
E, Non piegare il cavo per evitare di ridurre le prestazioni e aumentare l’usura del cavo
stesso. Se è necessario piegare il cavo, il raggio non deve mai essere inferiore a 300 mm.
F, Sistemare l’attuatore in modo che la coppiglia non sia esposta a sollecitazioni mec-
caniche. In tal caso, la coppiglia potrebbe staccarsi e cadere. Evitare anche di sistemare
l’attuatore vicino a componenti caldi, ad esempio tubi di scarico.

Premere l’interruttore per attivare Carobrake. La spia dell’interruttore si accende
subito, ma il freno di stazionamento si inserisce solo dopo 5-15 secondi.

Premere l’interruttore per disattivare Carobrake. La spia dell’interruttore si spegne
subito, ma il freno di stazionamento si disinserisce solo dopo 5-15 secondi. Non met-
tere in moto il veicolo finché il freno di stazionamento non si è disinserito.
• Portare sempre con sé la documentazione del prodotto in sede di revisione del veicolo.
• Per lo smontaggio, contattare sempre l'installatore.

BraunAbility Carobrake es un dispositivo eléctrico que reemplaza la palanca del freno de mano y aplica el freno de estacionamiento del vehículo al presionar un interruptor. Funciona con el cable del freno de mano original del vehículo y se puede instalar en o debajo del vehículo, según las circunstancias. Carobrake ha sido probado y aprobado para soportar 30.000 ciclos con un descanso de 5 minutos entre cada ciclo. El dispositivo es fácil de usar y puede mejorar la seguridad y la comodidad del conductor.
