The Safety of Your

Ears is in Your Hands

Get the most out of your equip-

ment by playing it at a safe level—a

level that lets the sound come

through clearly without annoying

blaring or distortion and, most

importantly, without affecting your

sensitive hearing. Sound can be

deceiving. Over time, your hearing

“comfort level” adapts to higher

volumes of sound, so what sounds

“normal” can actually be loud and

harmful to your hearing. Guard

against this by setting your equip-

ment at a safe level BEFORE your

hearing adapts.

ESTABLISH A SAFE LEVEL:

Set your volume control at a low

setting.

Slowly increase the sound until

you can hear it comfortably and

clearly, without distortion.

Once you have established a

comfortable sound level, set the

dial and leave it there.

Basic Operation

Your audio system works when the

ignition switch is in the “ACC” or

“ON” position.

NOTICE

To avoid draining the battery,

do not leave the car audio on

longer than necessary when the

engine is not running.

1 POWER

Press to turn the unit on or off.

2 ROTARY KNOB/VOLUME

Turn the ROTARY KNOB to raise/

lower the volume levels (total volume

step is 64).

3 MENU

To select the following setting

options, press the MENU to switch

to the SOUND. Press the MENU but-

ton to exit from the menu.

4 TUNE

Turn the TUNE clockwise or counter-

clockwise to select an item.

AUDIO CTRL

When the TUNE is turned, the set-

ting item of the AUDIO CTRL menu

will switch in the following order:

BASS  TRE  FADE  BAL  ASL

(Automatic Sound Levelizer)  EQ

BASS: Turn the TUNE to adjust low-pitched

tones. The display ranges from –5 to 5.

TREBLE:

Turn the TUNE to adjust high-pitched

tones. The display ranges from –5 to 5.

FADER: Turn the TUNE to adjust the sound

balance between the rear and front

speakers.

The display ranges from R7 to F7.

BALANCE:

Turn the TUNE to adjust the sound bal-

ance between the left and right speak-

ers. The display ranges from L7 to R7.

ASL: During driving, noise in the car changes

according to the driving speed. The

Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL)

automatically adjusts the volume based

on driving speed. If this noise becomes

greater, the sensitivity (variation of

volume level to noise level) of ASL can

be set to one of three levels. Press

the TUNE changes the ASL setting as

follows:

LOW d MID d HIGH d OFF

EQ: When the TUNE is turned, the setting

item of the EQ menu will switch in the

following order:

5DOOR MUSIC  5DOOR TALK 

3DOOR MUSIC  3DOOR TALK

MUSIC :

Natural and smooth

sound that gives no

listening fatigue but

comfort.

TALK :

A powerful,

energetic, live sound.

NOTICE

BASS function and TREBLE

function values can be set

for each of the modes (AM,

FM, CD/MP3/WMA, iPod/USB

portable audio player/USB

memory, AUX). When you

switch modes, the settings

change to the BASS and

TREBLE values set for the

selected mode.

The ASL function is only

effective when the vehicle is

moving.

•

IPOD DIRECT:

A menu for turning on or off iPod direct

control (in iPod mode). If you select ON,

you can control iPod operations on the

iPod, and you can control only the vol-

ume of iPod from this unit. If you select

OFF, you can control iPod operations

from this unit.

When the TUNE is pressed, switches in

the following order:

OFF

• The setting can only be changed in

iPod mode.

AUDIO BOOK:

You can change the iPod Audiobook

playback speed.

Pressing the TUNE repeatedly switch-

es the setting in the following order:

NORMAL d FASTER d SLOWER

• The speed can only be changed in

iPod mode.

• While IPOD DIRECT is set to ON, the

speed cannot be changed.

NOTICE

iPod (5th generation) and iPod

nano (1st generation) do not

support iPod direct control.

1 RADIO

Switches between FM1, FM2, AM

modes.

2 TUNE

Turn the TUNE clockwise to manually

select (one step at a time) the station

with the next higher frequency.

Turn the TUNE counterclockwise to

manually select (one step at a time) the

station with the next lower frequency.

3 SEEK (RIGHT)

Press to select the next higher station.

Press and hold to continue searching for

a higher frequency station.

4 SEEK(LEFT)

Press to select the next lower station.

Press and hold to continue searching for

a lower frequency station.

5 PRESET 1-6

Press to recall previously stored stations

(Preset Channels).

Press and hold until you hear a beep,

and the station you are currently tuned

to is stored as a Preset Channel.

NOTICE

You can store up to 6 stations

per band.

If you press, is indicated in the

display. The tuner begins searching

for stations with good reception and

you can listen to each channel for 5

seconds. Press and hold to scan the

preset radio stations.

No title name is displayed when playing back a CD containing no te xt information.

NOTICE

Never try to disassemble or

oil any part of the compact

disc player. Do not insert

anything except a compact

disc into the slot.

Use 12-cm disc. Do not use

8-cm disc or an adapter for

8-cm disc.

To pause the CD, press this while

the CD is playing. Press again to

resume playing.

7 PRESET 2 (Random)

If you press this, and is indi-

cated in the display. This unit starts

to play tracks on the disc being

played in random order. Press again

to cancel.

8 PRESET 1 (Repeat)

If you press this, is indicated in

the display. This unit starts to repeat

the track being played. Press again

to cancel.

9 SCAN

If you press this, is indicated in

the display. This unit starts to play

the first 10 seconds of each track on

the CD being played. Press again to

cancel. Press and hold to scan the

preset radio stations.

When playing back a disc

recorded with the Multi-

session system, the first

session only is played back.

If the first session combines

MP3, WMA files and music

data (CD-DA), this product

only plays the music data.

About iPod settings

This unit supports only an iPod

featuring the Dock connector

port.

Operations may vary depending

on the software version of iPod.

The iPod Equalizer setting set by

the iPod is not used.

The Shuffle function of the iPod

is operated as Random on this

unit.

Connect the USB connector.

MP3 and WMA files

• MP3 is short for MPEG Audio Layer 3 and

refers to an audio compression technology

standard.

• WMA is short for Windows Media™

Audio and refers to an audio compression

technology that is developed by Microsoft

Corporation. WMA data can be encoded by

using Windows Media Player.

• With some applications used to encode

WMA files, this unit may not operate cor-

rectly.

• With some applications used to encode

WMA files, album names and other text

information may not be correctly displayed.

• This unit allows playback of MP3/WMA files

on CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW discs and USB

portable audio player/USB memory. Disc

recordings compatible with level 1 and level

2 of ISO9660 and with the Romeo and Joliet

file system can be played back.

• MP3/WMA files are not compatible with

packet write data transfer.

• The maximum number of characters which

can be displayed for a file name, excepting

the extension (.mp3, .wma), is 24, from

the first character.

• The maximum number of characters which

can be displayed for a folder name is 24.

• In case of files recorded according to the

Romeo file system, only the first 24 char-

acters can be displayed.

• The folder selection sequence for playback

and other operations becomes the writing

sequence used by the writing software.

For this reason, the expected sequence at

the time of playback may not coincide with

the actual playback sequence. However,

there also is some writing software which

permits setting of the playback order.

IMPORTANT

When naming an MP3/WMA

file, add the corresponding

filename extension (.mp3,

.wma).

This unit plays back files

with the filename extension

(.mp3, .wma) as an MP3/WMA

file. To prevent noise and

malfunctions, do not use these

extensions for files other than

MP3/WMA files.

•

MP3 additional

information

• Files are compatible with the ID3 Tag Ver.

1.0, 1.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 formats for display

of album (disc title), track (track title), artist

(track artist) and comments. Ver. 2.x of ID3

Tag is given priority when both Ver. 1.x and

Ver. 2.x exist.

• The emphasis function is valid only when

MP3 files of 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz

frequencies are played back. (16 kHz,

22.05 kHz, 24 kHz, 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz,

48 kHz sampling frequencies can be

played back.)

• There is no m3u playlist compatibility.

• There is no compatibility with the MP3i

(MP3 interactive) or mp3 PRO formats.

• The sound quality of MP3 files generally

becomes better with an increased bit

rates. This unit can play recordings with

bit rates from 8 kbps to 320 kbps, but

in order to be able to enjoy sound of a

certain quality, we recommend using only

discs recorded with a bit rate of at least

128 kbps.

Windows Media Player.

• You can only play back WMA files in the

Terms

Packet write

This is a general term for a method

of writing on CD-R, etc. at the time

required for a file, just as is done

with files on floppy or hard discs.

Bit rate

This expresses data volume per

second, or bps (bits per second)

units. The higher the rate, the more

information is available to reproduce

the sound. Using the same encoding

method (such as MP3), the higher

the rate, the better the sound.

Multi-session

Multi-session is a recording method

that allows additional data to be

recorded later. When recording

data on a CD-ROM, CD-R or CD-

RW, etc., all data from beginning

to end is treated as a single unit or

session. Multi-session is a method

of recording more than 2 sessions in

one disc.

CD-DA

CD-DA is an abbreviation of

Compact Disc Digital Audio. It refers

to the uncompressed format of

regular CDs.

ID3 Tag

This is a method of embedding track-

related information in a MP3 file. This

embedded information can include

the track title, the artist’s name, the

album title, the music genre, the

year of production, comments and

other data. The contents can be

freely edited using software with ID3

Tag editing functions. Although the

tags are restricted to the number of

characters, the information can be

viewed when the track is played back.

ISO9660 format

This is the international standard for the

format logic of CD-ROM folders and

files. For the ISO9660 format, there are

regulations for the following two levels.

Level 1:

The file name is in 8.3 format (the

name consists of up to 8 characters,

half-byte English capital letters and

half-byte numerals and the “_”

sign, with a file-extension of three

characters).

Level 2:

The file name can have up to 31

characters (including the separation

mark

and a file extension).

Each folder contains less than 8

hierarchies.

Extended formats

Joliet:

File names can have up to 64 characters.

Romeo:

File names can have up to 128 characters.

MP3 is short for MPEG1 & 2 Audio

Layer 3. It is an audio compression

standard set by a working group

(MPEG) of the ISO (International

Standards Organization). MP3 is able

to compress audio data to about 1/10

the level of a conventional disc.

WMA

WMA is short for Windows Media

Audio and refers to an audio

compression technology that is

developed by Microsoft Corporation.

WMA data can be encoded by using

Windows Media Player version 7 or

later.

CD player and care

• Use only CDs that have either of the

two Compact Disc Digital Audio marks

as shown below.

• Use only normal, round CDs. If you

insert irregular, non-round, shaped

CDs they may jam in the CD player or

not play properly.

• Check all CDs for cracks, scratches

or warping before playing. CDs that

have cracks, scratches or are warped

may not play properly. Do not use such

discs.

• Avoid touching the recorded

(non-printed) surface when handling

the disc.

• Store discs in their cases when not in

use.

• Keep discs out of direct sunlight and

do not expose the discs to high tem-

peratures.

• Do not attach labels, write on or apply

chemicals to the surface of the discs.

• To clean a CD, wipe the disc with a

soft cloth outward from the center.

• If the heater is used in cold weather,

moisture may form on components

inside the CD player. Condensation

may cause the CD player to malfunc-

tion. If you think that condensation is

a problem, turn off the CD player for

an hour or so to allow it to dry out and

wipe any damp discs with a soft cloth

to remove the moisture.

• Road shocks may interrupt CD play-

back.

• Never put a label, tape or scratches on

a disc. These will prevent the disc from

being played.

CD-R and CD-RW discs

• When CD-R/CD-RW discs are used,

playback is possible only for discs

which have been finalized.

• It may not be possible to play back CD-

R/CD-RW discs recorded on a music

CD recorder or a personal computer

because of disc characteristics, scratch-

es or dirt on the disc, or dirt, condensa-

tion, etc., on the lens of this unit.

• Playback of discs recorded on a per

sonal computer may not be possible,

depending on the application settings

and the environment. Please record

with the correct format. (For details,

contact the manufacturer of the appli-

cation.)

• Playback of CD-R/CD-RW discs may

become impossible in case of direct

exposure to sunlight, high tempera-

tures, or the storage conditions in the

car.

• Titles and other text information

recorded on a CD-R/CD-RW disc may

not be displayed by this unit (in the

case of audio data (CD-DA)).

• This unit conforms to the track skip

function of the CD-R/CD-RW disc. The

tracks containing the track skip infor-

mation are skipped automatically (in

case of audio data (CD-DA)).

• If you insert a CD-RW disc into this

unit, time to playback will be longer

than when you insert a conventional

CD or CD-R disc.

• Read the precautions accompanying

the CD-R/CD-RW discs before use.

• Recordings on CD-R/CD-RW can

not be played back using the DDCD

(Double Density CD) system.

• This unit will not play back SACD

(Super Audio CD).

DualDiscs

• DualDiscs are two-sided discs that

have a recordable CD for audio on one

side and a recordable DVD for video on

the other.

• Since the CD side of DualDiscs is not

physically compatible with the general

CD standard, it may not be possible to

play the CD side with this unit.

• Frequent loading and ejecting of a

DualDisc may result in scratches on

the disc. Serious scratches can lead

to playback problems on this unit. In

some cases, a DualDisc may become

stuck in the disc loading slot and will

not eject. To prevent this, we recom-

mend you refrain from using DualDisc

with this unit.

• Please refer to the information from

the disc manufacturer for more

detailed information about DualDiscs.

If the CD player does not work, the CD stops suddenly during playback, or a similar problem occurs, an error

indication will appear on the display. The cause of the trouble will be indicated by an error number, and you

should check the corresponding item shown in the table below.

When the disc is dirty or has been inserted upside-down.

Check the disc.

ERROR 3

There is probably an electrical or mechanical fault in the CD player.

Contact your TOYOTA dealer and ask for repair.

ERROR 4

This appears when there is excess current flow.

WAIT

This appears when the CD player does not work because its temperature is high.

Wait a short while until the vehicle temperature goes down.

NO SUPPORT

This appears when an MP3/WMA file format is unusual and not supported by this unit

like WAV format recordings.

Please check the MP3/WMA file format.

Obtenga lo mejor de su equipo al

que permite que el sonido salga con

Cuando se gira el TUNE, el elemen-

to de ajuste del menú AUDIO CTRL

cambiará en el siguiente orden:

(Nivelador Automático del Sonido )  EQ

BASS: Gire el TUNE para ajustar los tonos

graves. La pantalla varía de –5 a 5.

TREBLE:

Gire el TUNE para ajustar los tonos

agudos. La pantalla varía de –5 a 5.

FADER:

Gire el TUNE para ajustar el balance

del sonido entre los parlantes traseros y

delanteros.

La pantalla varía de R7 a F7.

BALANCE:

Gire el TUNE para ajustar el balance

del sonido entre los parlantes derecho

e izquierdo. La pantalla varía de L7 a

R7.

ASL: Durante la conducción, el ruido en el

vehículo cambia de acuerdo con la

velocidad de la conducción. El Nivelador

Automático del Sonido (ASL) ajusta

automáticamente el volumen basándose

en la velocidad de la conducción. Si

el ruido se incrementa, la sensibilidad

(variación del nivel del volumen con el

nivel de ruido) del ASL puede ajustarse

de uno a tres niveles. Presione el

ajustarse para cada uno de

los modos (AM, FM, CD/MP3/

WMA, iPod/reproductor de

audio portátil USB/memoria

USB y AUX). Cuando cambia

los modos, los ajustes

cambian a los valores de

BASS y TREBLE ajustados

para el modo seleccionado.

La función ASL sólo se hace

efectiva cuando el vehículo

está en movimiento.

IPOD DIRECT:

Un menú para encender y apagar el

control directo de iPod (en modo iPod).

Si selecciona ON, puede controlar

las operaciones de iPod en el iPod y

puede controlar desde esta unidad

únicamente el volumen del iPod. Si

selecciona OFF, puede controlar las

operaciones del iPod desde esta uni-

dad.

Mientras el TUNE esté presionado,

cambia en el siguiente orden:

AUDIO BOOK:

Usted puede cambiar la velocidad de

reproducción de iPod Auidiobook.

Si se presiona el TUNE repetidamente

• MP3 es una abreviación para MPEG Audio

Layer 3 y se refiere a una tecnología de

compresión estándar.

• WMA es la abreviación para Windows

Media™ Audio y hace referencia a un

formato estándar de tecnología de com-

presión de audio que ha sido desarrollada

por Microsoft Corporation. Los datos

WMA pueden ser codificados utilizando un

Reproductor de Windows Media.

• Con algunas aplicaciones para codificar los

archivos de WMA, esta unidad puede que

no funcione correctamente.

• Con ciertas aplicaciones utilizadas para

codificar archivos WMA, los nombres de

álbumes y otra información de texto puede

no aparecer correctamente.

• Esta unidad permite la reproducción de

archivos MP3/WMA en discos CD-ROM,

CD-R, CD-RW y en un reproductor de

audio portátil USB /memoria USB. Se

podrán reproducir discos grabados com-

patibles con el nivel 1 y 2 de ISO9660 y

con el sistema de archivos de Romeo y

Joliet.

• Los archivos MP3/WMA no son compati-

bles con la transferencia de paquetes de

datos escritos.

• El número máximo de caracteres que

se puede visualizar para un nombre de

archivo, excluyendo la extensión (.mp3,

.wma) es 24, desde el primer carácter.

• El número máximo de caracteres que se

puede visualizar para el nombre de carpeta

es 24.

• En caso de archivos grabados de acuerdo

con el sistema de archivos Romeo, sólo se

pueden visualizar los primeros 24 carac-

teres.

• La secuencia de la selección de la carpeta

para la reproducción y otras operaciones

es la secuencia de escritura usada por el

software de escritura. Por esta razón, la

secuencia esperada en la reproducción

puede que no coincida con la secuencia

real de la reproducción. Sin embargo,

hay también algún software escrito que

permite el ajuste del orden de la reproduc-

ción.

IMPORTANTE

Cuando ponga los nombres a

los archivos MP3/WMA, añada

la extensión del nombre del

archivo correspondiente

(.mp3, .wma).

Esta unidad reproduce

archivos con extensiones

de nombres de archivo

(.mp3, .wma) como si fuera

un archivo MP3/WMA. Para

prevenir que se produzca

ruidos y malfuncionamientos,

no use estas extensiones para

otros archivos que no sean

archivos MP3/WMA.

•

Información adicional

del MP3

• Archivos son compatibles con ID3 Tag Ver.

Los formatos 1.0, 1.1, 2.2, 2.3 y 2.4 para

visualizar el álbum (título de disco), canción

(título de la canción), artista (artista de la

canción) y comentarios. Versión 2.x de

la Etiqueta ID3 que da prioridad cuando

existan ambas versiones 1.x y 2.x.

• La función énfasis es válida sólo cuando se

reproducen archivos MP3 de frecuencias

de 32 kHz, 44,1 kHz y 48 kHz (Se pueden

reproducir frecuencias de muestreo

de 16 kHz, 22,05 kHz, 24 kHz, 32 kHz,

44,1 kHz, 48 kHz.)

• No hay compatibilidad con el playlist m3u.

• No hay compatibilidad con los formatos

MP3i (MP3 interactivo) o mp3 PRO.

• La calidad del sonido de los archivos MP3

generalmente es mejor con un incremento

de los bit rate (bits por segundo que con-

sume un fichero). La unidad puede repro-

ducir grabaciones con bit rates desde 8

kbps a 320 kbps, pero para poder disfrutar

se una cierta calidad del sonido, nosotros

recomendamos utilizar discos grabados

con un bit rate de al menos 128 kbps.

• Esta unidad reproduce archivos WMA

codificados utilizando un Reproductor de

Windows Media.

• Puede reproducir sólo archivos WMA en

frecuencias de 32 kHz, 44,1 kHz y 48 kHz.

• La calidad del sonido de los archivos

WMA generalmente es mejor con un

incremento de los bit rate (bits por seg-

undo que consume un fichero). La unidad

puede reproducir grabaciones con bit rates

desde 48 kbps a 320 kbps (CBR), o desde

48 kbps a 384 kbps (VBR), pero para poder

disfrutar se una cierta calidad del sonido,

nosotros recomendamos utilizar discos

grabados con un bit rate más alto.

Escritura por paquetes

Este es un término general para

describir el método de escritura de

un CD-R, etc. cuando se requiera

un archivo, tal como se realiza en

archivos, en disquetes o en discos

duros.

Bit rate

Esto expresa el volumen de datos

por segundo, o unidades bps (bits

por segundo). Cuanto mayor sea la

velocidad, habrá más información

disponible para reproducir el

sonido. Usando el mismo método

de codificación (por ejemplo MP3),

cuanto más alto sea el volumen por

segundo (bit rate), mejor será el

sonido.

Multisesión

La multisesión es un método de

grabación que permite grabar datos

adicionales más adelante. Cuando se

graban datos en un CD-ROM, CD-R

o CD-RW, etc., todos los datos de

principio a fin son tratados como una

única unidad o sesión. Multisesión

es un método de grabación de más

de 2 sesiones en un disco.

CD-DA

CD-DA es una abreviación para

Disco Compacto Digital de Audio

(Compact Disc Digital Audio). Se

refiere a un formato no comprimido

de CD normales.

ID3 Tag

Este es un método donde se inserta

la información relacionada con

la pista ó canción en un archivo

MP3. Esta información introducida

puede incluir un título de canción,

el nombre del artista, el título del

álbum, el genero de la música, el año

de producción, los comentarios y

otros datos. Los contenidos pueden

ser editados libremente utilizando

un software con funciones de

edición de etiquetas ID3. Aunque

las etiquetas están limitadas a un

número de caracteres, la información

puede ser vista cuando se reproduce

la canción.

Formato ISO9660

Esto es un estándar internacional para

el formato lógico de carpetas y archivos

de CD-ROM. Para el formato ISO9660,

existen regulaciones para los siguientes

dos niveles.

Nivel 1:

El nombre del archivo está en

formato 8.3 (el nombre consiste en

un número de hasta 8 caracteres,

letras mayúsculas de medio-byte y

numerales de medio-byte y el símbolo

“_”, con un extensión de archivo de

tres caracteres).

Nivel 2:

El nombre del archivo puede tener

hasta 31 caracteres (incluyendo

un símbolo de separación “.” y

una extensión para el archivo).

Cada carpeta contiene menos de 8

jerarquías.

Formatos prolongados

Joliet:

Los nombres de los archivos pueden

tener hasta 64 caracteres.

Romeo:

Los nombres de los archivos pueden tener

hasta 128 caracteres.

m3u

Playlists creadas usando el software

“WINAMP” tienen una extensión

del archivo playlist (.m3u).

MP3

MP3 es la abreviación para MPEG1

y 2 Audio Layer 3. Es un estándar

de compresión de audio fijado por

el grupo de trabajo (MPEG) de la

ISO (Organización Internacional para

la Estandarización). El MP3 puede

comprimir datos de audio hasta cerca de

1/10 el nivel de un disco convencional.

WMA

WMA es la abreviación para

Windows Media

Audio y hace

referencia a un formato estándar

de tecnología de compresión de

audio que ha sido desarrollada por

Microsoft Corporation. Los datos

WMA pueden ser codificados

utilizando un Reproductor de

Windows Media versión 7 o superior.

Reproductor de CD y

cuidado

• Sólo utilice CD que tengan alguna de

las dos marcas Compact Disc Digital

Audio como se muestra a contin-

uación.

• Sólo utilice CD normales y circulares.

Si inserta un CD irregular y que no sea

redondo podría obstruir el reproductor

de CD y reproducirse incorrectamente.

• Observe que los CD no tengan ray-

ones, rupturas o deformaciones al

reproducirlos. Los CD con rayones,

rupturas o en mal estado no se repro-

ducirán correctamente. No utilice dis-

cos en tales condiciones.

• Evite tocar la superficie de grabación

(no impresa) al sujetar el disco.

• Cuando no los utilice, guárdelos en sus

carátulas.

• Mantenga los discos alejados de la luz

directa del sol y no los exponga a altas

temperaturas.

• No incorpore etiquetas, ni escriba o

aplique químicos sobre la superficie

del disco.

• Para limpiar los CD, utilice un trapo

suave desde el centro hacia afuera.

• Si usa el calefactor en clima frío, se

puede formar humedad en los com-

ponentes internos del reproductor de

CD. La condensación puede afectar el

funcionamiento del CD. Si cree que la

condensación es un problema, apague

el reproductor de CD durante una hora

para que se seque y limpie cualquier

suciedad en el disco con un trapo

suave para remover la humedad.

• Los impactos en la carretera pueden

interrumpir la reproducción del CD.

• Nunca ponga una etiqueta, cinta o

marca sobre el disco. Esto evitará que

el disco se reproduzca normalmente.

Discos CD-R y CD-RW

• Cuando utilice discos CD-R/CD-RW,

sólo se puede reproducir los discos

que han sido finalizados.

• Es posible que no pueda reproducir

discos CD-R/CD-RW grabados en

una grabadora de CD de música o un

computador personal debido a las

características del disco, marcas o

suciedad del disco, condensación, etc.,

en los lentes de la unidad.

• Es posible que no se reproduzcan dis-

cos grabados en un computador per-

sonal, dependiendo de los ajustes de

la aplicación y el ambiente. Grabe los

discos con el formato correcto. (Para

obtener más detalles, comuníquese

con el fabricante de la aplicación).

• La reproducción de discos CD-R/CD-

RW puede no realizarse en caso de

exposición directa a la luz del sol, altas

temperaturas, o las condiciones de

almacenamiento en el vehículo.

• Los títulos y otra información de texto

grabada en un disco CD-R/CD-RW

podría no aparecer en la unidad (en

caso de datos de audio (CD-DA)).

• Esta unidad es compatible con la fun-

ción de salto de pistas del disco CD-

R/CD-RW. Las pistas que contienen

información de salto de pista se saltan

automáticamente (en caso de datos de

audio (CD-DA)).

• Si se inserta un disco CD-RW en la

unidad, el tiempo de reproducción será

superior que al insertar un disco de CD

o CD-R convencional.

• Lea las precauciones suministradas

con los discos CD-R/CD-RW antes de

usarlo.

• Las grabaciones en CD-R/CD-RW no

serán reproducidas usando el sistema

DDCD (CD de doble densidad).

• Esta unidad no reproducirá SACD

(Super Audio CD).

DualDiscs

• Dual Discs son discos de doble cara

que tienen un CD grabable para audio

en un lado y un DVD grabable para

video en la otra.

• Debido a que la cara CD del DualDiscs

no es físicamente compatible con el

CD estándar general, puede que no

sea posible reproducir el lado del CD

en esta unidad.

• La utilización y la expulsión frecuente

de un DualDisc podría ocasionarle ray-

ones al disco. Los rayones más serios

pueden derivar en problemas de repro-

ducción en esta unidad. En algunos

casos, un DualDisc puede atascarse en

la ranura de carga de discos y puede

que no sea expulsado. Para prevenir

esto, le recomendamos que no use

DualDiscs en esta unidad.

• Por favor, diríjase a la información del

fabricante de discos para obtener una

información más detallada sobre los

DualDiscs.

Indicaciones de error

Si el reproductor de CD no funciona, el CD se detiene repentinamente durante la reproducción, u ocurre otro

problema similar, aparecerá una indicación de error en la pantalla. La causa del problema será indicada medi-

ante un número de error, y usted deberá comprobar el elemento correspondiente que aparece indicado en la

tabla de abajo.

CD CHECK

Cuando el disco está sucio o ha sido insertado al revés.

Compruebe el disco.

ERROR 3

Existe probablemente un fallo eléctrico o mecánico en el reproductor de CD.

Póngase en contacto con su distribuidor de TOYOTA y solicite reparación.

ERROR 4

Esto aparece cuando hay un exceso de flujo de corriente.

Póngase en contacto con su distribuidor de TOYOTA y solicite reparación.

WAIT

Esto aparece cuando el reproductor de CDs no funciona debido a que su temperatura

es alta.

Espere un momento hasta que baje la temperatura del vehículo.

NO SUPPORT

Esto aparece cuando el formato del archivo MP3/WMA no es normal y no es

compatible con esta unidad como por ejemplo las grabaciones en formato WAV.

Por favor compruebe el formato de archivo del MP3/WMA.
