A QR code (QR = Quick Response) is a type of matrix that can be read

General information
Reading and storing the instruction manual
This user manual accompanies this electric shaver
(referred to below only as the “shaver”). It contains
important information on setup and handling.
Before using the shaver, read the instruction manual carefully.
This particularly applies for the safety notes. Failure to comply
with this user manual may result in injury or damage to the
shaver.
Store the instruction manual for further use. If you pass the
shaver on to third parties, please be absolutely sure to include
this instruction manual.
Explanation of symbols
The following symbols and signal words are used in this user
manual, on the shaver or on the packaging.
DANGER!
This signal symbol/word designates a hazard with a high
degree of risk, which will result in death or severe injury if not
avoided.
WARNING!
This signal symbol/word designates a hazard with moderate
degree of risk which may lead to death or severe injury if not
avoided.

The shaver is designed exclusively for dry and wet shaving
of the face, but also for trimming beards. The shaver is only
intended for private use and not suitable for commercial
purposes.
Only use the shaver as described in this instruction manual.
Any other use is considered improper and may result in
damage to property.
The manufacturer or vendor cannot be held liable for damag-
es incurred through improper or incorrect use.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed
including the following. Read all instructions.
DANGER!
Risk of electric shock!
A faulty electrical installation, excessive line
voltage or incorrect operation may result
in an electric shock. To reduce the risk of
electric shock:
− Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
− Never store the shaver so that there is a
risk of it falling in water.
− Never reach to retrieve the shaver if
it has fallen in water. In such a case,
immediately disconnect the power plug.
− Always switch the shaver off and pull the
power supply unit out of the socket when
you are not using it, when you intend to
clean it or in the event of a fault.
− Unplug the shaver before cleaning.

Use the shaver only for its intended use

− WARNING: The handheld part must be
disconnected from the connection line
before cleaning it with water.
− Only connect the shaver if the line
voltage of the socket corresponds to the
nameplate specification of the power
supply unit.
− Only use the shaver with the enclosed
power supply unit. The shaver requires
safety extra-low voltage (SELV) with the
values specified in the chapter “Technical
data”.
− Only connect the power supply unit to an

quickly disconnect it from the grid in case
of a failure.
− If the power cord, the power supply unit
or the shaver exhibit visible damages or
are defective, do not use them further.
− If the power cord of the shaver is
damaged, the manufacturer, its customer
service team or a person with similar
qualifications must replace it.
− Never operate the shaver when it has
a damaged cord or plug, when it is
not working properly, after it has been
dropped or damaged, or after it has been
dropped into water. Return the shaver to a
service center for examination and repair.
− Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used
or where oxygen is being administered.
− Always attach plug to appliance first,
then to outlet. To disconnect, turn all
controls to off position (e.g. “0”) then
remove plug from outlet.
− Do not open the housing; instead, have
a qualified professional perform repairs.

− Only parts that comply with the original
device data may be used for repairs. This
device contains electrical and mechanical
parts, which are essential for providing
protection against sources of danger.
− Do not immerse the shaver, the power
supply unit or power cord in water or
other liquids.
− Never touch the power plug with damp
hands.
− Never use the power cord as a carrying
strap.
− Keep the shaver, the power supply unit
and power cord away from open flames
and hot surfaces.
− Lay the power cord so that it does not
pose a tripping hazard.
− Do not kink the power cord and do not
lay it over sharp edges.
− Only use the shaver in indoor spaces.
− Make sure that children do not insert any
objects in the shaver.

− This shaver may be used by children ages

and knowledge if they are supervised or
have been instructed in how to safely use
the shaver and have understood the risks
associated with operating it. Children may
not play with the shaver. Children may
not clean the device and perform user
maintenance if they are not supervised.
− Keep the shaver, the power supply unit
and power cable away from children
under eight years of age.
− Do not leave the shaver unattended
while in operation.
− Make sure that children do not play with

If you use the shaver with a damaged
shaver head, without a shaver head or if you
push down on the shaving foils, you could

− Do not push the shaving foils in with
your fingers.
− Do not use the shaver if the shaver
head, the integrated shaving foils or the
trimmer are damaged.
− Do not use the shaver if the shaver head
is not firmly mounted.

Checking the shaver and package contents
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
If you are not cautious when opening the
packaging with a sharp knife or other pointed
objects, you may quickly damage the shaver.
− Be very careful when opening it.
1. Take the shaver out of the packaging.
2. Check to make sure that the delivery is complete (see Fig.A).
3. Check whether the shaver or the individual parts exhibit
damage. If this is the case, do not use the shaver. Contact
the manufacturer via the service address indicated on the
warranty card.

Displaying the status
The shaver has two indicators that supply information about
the power supply or the rechargeable battery charge level
(see Fig. B):
• the battery symbol

Charging the rechargeable battery
The rechargeable battery takes approx. 90min-
utes to charge fully. You can also use the shaver in
outlet without charging the rechargeable battery.

3. To charge the shaver, place it on a dry and level surface or
shave in grid mode.
Handling
Dry shave
We recommend a dry shave before you wash.
After washing, you skin is slightly swollen. As
a result, shavers are often unable to reach the
entire length of your beard hair so the shave will
be less thorough.
For a dry shave, follow the steps below:
1. Take the protective cap

off of the shaver.
2. Use the On/Off switch

to turn the shaver on.
3. Use your free hand to stretch the part of your face you in-
tend to shave.
4. While applying gentle pressure, move the shaver head

perpendicular to the direction of hair growth.
5. After a few strokes, use your free hand to check the results
and repeat step 4 if necessary.
6. Shave as described in steps 3–4.
7. If necessary, use the trimmer

as described in the chap-
ter “Using the trimmer” (see Fig.C).
8. Switch the shaver off once you have finished shaving.

after a dry shave”.
Wet shave
1. Dampen your face and apply shaving cream or gel to your
face.
2. Take the protective cap

off of the shaver (see Fig.A).
3. Use the On/Off switch

to turn the shaver on.
4. While applying gentle pressure, move the shaver head

perpendicular to the direction of hair growth.
5. After a few strokes, use your free hand to check the results
and repeat step 4 if necessary.
6. Shave as described in steps 3–4.
7. If necessary, use the trimmer as described in the chapter
“Using the trimmer”.
8. Switch the shaver off once you have finished shaving.
9. Clean the shaver as described in the chapter “Daily cleaning
after a wet shave”.
Using the trimmer
Keep in mind that the trimmer always generates a
straight cutting edge. If you do not want a straight
cutting edge, you must hold the shaver at an
angle.
For hard-to-reach areas or for very precise cuts,
use a comb to check the hair you intend to trim
with the trimmer and the cut length.
Use the trimmer as follows:

3. Slowly guide the trimmer up to the hair you intend to cut.
Always use short strokes to cut your hair.
4. Turn the shaver off.

after a wet shave” or “Daily cleaning after a dry shave”.
Using the travel guard
The shaver is equipped with a travel guard that prevents the
shaver from accidentally activating.
Activating the travel guard
− Hold the On/Off switch

down for approx. 4seconds.
The shaver will automatically deactivate and the battery
symbol will fl ash four times in green.
The travel guard is now active.
Deactivating the travel guard
Connecting the shaver with the power supply unit
and inserting the power supply unit in an outlet
will automatically deactivate the travel guard.
1. Hold the On/Off switch

down for approx. 4seconds.
The battery symbol will fl ash twice in green in the process.
The shaver will now automatically switch on.
2. Briefly push the On/Off switch to turn off the shaver.
The travel guard is now deactivated.

Water that has penetrated the power cable
or the power supply unit may cause a short
circuit.
− Never immerse the power supply unit or
the 5 V plug in water.

− Do not use any aggressive cleaners,
brushes with metal or nylon bristles or
sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such
as knives, hard scrapers or similar. They
could damage the surfaces.
Daily cleaning after a dry shave
1. Use the On/Off switch

to turn off the shaver.
2. Before cleaning, pull the 5V plug

out of the shaver.
3. Hold the shaver over the sink.

ing mechanism audibly engages (see Fig.E).

Daily cleaning after a wet shave

2. Before cleaning, pull the 5V plug

3. Hold the shaver over the sink.

6. Wash the shaver head thoroughly under warm running
water on the inside and outside (see Fig.F).
7. Carefully dry the shaver head with a lint-free cloth or a pa-
per towel. In the process, do not push the shaving foils in.
8. Thoroughly rinse off the top part of the shaver and the
shaver blades under warm running water (see Fig.G).
9. Use the On/Off switch

drops of water off of the shaver blades

10. Use a lint-free cloth or a paper towel to thoroughly dry off
the shaver.

12. Place the protective cap

Weekly cleaning
It is recommended that you thoroughly clean the shaver once
a week. To do so, proceed as follows:
1. Use the On/Off switch

to turn off the shaver.
2. Before cleaning, pull the 5V plug

out of the shaver.
3. Hold the shaver over the sink.

User maintenance for the shaving foils
To maintain the performance of your shaver and increase the
service life of the shaving foils, you should perform user main-
tenance on the shaving foils every two months as follows:
1. Put a drop of fine, non-resinous household oil on the tip of
your finger.
2. Distribute the oil evenly on the shaving foils of the shaver
head

.
3. Without applying pressure, dab the shaving foils with a soft,
lint-free cloth or paper towel.
Replacing wearable parts
Replacing the shaving foil unit
If the shaving foil unit is damaged, it must be promptly
replaced. We generally recommend that you replace the
shaving foil unit after 12 months of daily use.

6. Place the new shaving foil unit in the shaver head frame so
that:
a. the guide braces inside the shaver head frame extend
into the guide grooves outside along the shaving foil unit
and
b. the recess in the shaving foil unit is on the same side as
the recess inside the shaver head frame.
7. Place two fingers on the back side of the integrated
trimmer.
8. Push the shaving foil unit into the shaver head frame until
the hooks audibly lock into the shaver head frame.
9. Firmly mount the shaver head on the shaver until the lock-
ing mechanism audibly engages (see Fig.E).
10. Place the protective cap

on the shaver.
Your shaver is now ready for use again.

Replacing the shaver blades
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to sharp edges and
blades!
The shaver blades are very sharp. You could
injure yourself as a result.
− Therefore, be very careful when chang-
ing them.
We recommend replacing the shaver blades after 12 months of
daily use. The two shaver blades must always be replaced at
the same time.
1. Depress both release buttons

straight up and out of their

1. Switch the shaver off and clean all components. Make sure
that all parts are dry before you put them back together.
2. Store the shaver in a clean, dry area. We recommend to use
the storage bag

3. Make sure that the shaver and the accessories are not
accessible for children and animals.

Disposing of the packaging
Sort the packaging before you dispose of it. Dispose of
paperboard and cardboard with the recycled paper service
and wrappers with appropriate collection service.

Dispose of used or defective shaving foil units and shaver
blades in accordance with the applicable regulations for your
country.
Disposing of old devices
Old devices must not be disposed of with household
waste!
Should the shaver no longer be capable of being
used at some point in time dispose of it in accor-
dance with the regulations in force in your feder-
al state or country. This ensures that old appliances
are recycled in a professional manner and also rules

out negative consequences for the environment. Please en-
sure your recycling information does apply to the local regula-
tions and the EPA recommendations (www.epa.gov).
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed
of with household waste!
As the end user you are required by law to bring all
batteries and rechargeable batteries, regardless
whether they contain harmful substances* or not, to
a collection point run by the communal authority or
borough or to a retailer, so that they can be disposed
of in an environmentally friendly manner. Bring the
entire shaver (together with the battery) to your col-
lection point and make sure that it is in an uncharged
state!

− Al abrir el embalaje, proceda con sumo

2. Compruebe que el contenido del paquete esté completo

3. Compruebe si la afeitadora o las diferentes partes
presentan daños. Si así fuera, no utilice la afeitadora.

Afeitado en seco
Recomendamos el afeitado en seco antes de
lavarse. Después, la piel queda algo hinchada. Las
afeitadoras no suelen llegar así a toda la longitud
del pelo de la barba, lo que conlleva un afeitado
menos apurado.
Para el afeitado en seco, proceda así:
1. Retire la tapa protectora

3. Estire la parte de la cara que quiere afeitar con la mano libre.
4. Con una ligera presión, mueva el cabezal cortante

Recuerde que el cortapelos produce siempre un
corte recto. Si no quiere un corte recto, debe girar
la afeitadora de forma pertinente.
En los lugares de difícil acceso o para cortes muy
precisos, emplee el peine para controlar el pelo que
desea cortar con el cortapelos y la longitud del corte.
Utilice el cortapelos así:

Uso del seguro de viaje
La afeitadora viene con un seguro de viaje que evita que se
encienda sin querer.
Activación del seguro de viaje
− Mantenga presionado el interruptor de encendido/

unos 4segundos. La afeitadora se apaga sola
y el símbolo de batería parpadea cuatro veces en verde.
El seguro de viaje ya está activado.
Desactivación del seguro de viaje
Cuando la afeitadora se conecta a la fuente de
alimentación y esta a una toma de corriente, el
seguro de viaje se desactiva automáticamente.
1. Mantenga presionado el interruptor de encendido/
apagado

batería parpadeará dos veces en verde.
La afeitadora se enciende entonces sola.

Cuidado de las láminas cortantes
Para mantener el rendimiento de la afeitadora y la vida útil de
las láminas cortantes, debería mantener las láminas cortantes
cada dos meses así:
1. Con la punta del dedo, tome una gota de aceite lubricante
doméstico fino que no se resinifique.
2. Distribuya el aceite de forma homogénea sobre las láminas
cortantes del cabezal cortante

3. Toque sin presión las láminas cortantes con un paño suave
sin pelusas o con papel secamanos.
Sustitución de las piezas de desgaste
Sustitución de la unidad de láminas cortantes
Si la unidad de láminas cortantes está dañada, se debe
sustituir de inmediato. Por lo general, se recomienda sustituir
la unidad de láminas cortantes tras 12 meses de uso diario.

cabezal cortante hasta que escuche los enganches encajar
en la estructura del cabezal cortante.
9. Coloque el cabezal cortante sobre la afeitadora hasta que
escuche encajar el bloqueo (véase la fig.E).
10. Coloque la tapa protectora

Sustitución de las cuchillas

− Por tanto, al cambiarlas, proceda con
sumo cuidado.
Recomendamos sustituir las cuchillas tras 12 meses de uso
diario. Las dos cuchillas se deben sustituir siempre a la vez.
