CAUTION - HOT SURFACES: This appliance generates heat and escaping steam
during use. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, res,
or other injury to persons or damage to property.
1. A person who has not read and understood all operating and safety instructions
is not qualied to operate this appliance. All users of this appliance must read
and understand the instruction manual before operating or cleaning
this appliance.
2. If this appliance falls or accidentally becomes immersed in water, unplug it from
the wall outlet immediately. Do not reach into the water!
3. When using this appliance, provide adequate air space above and on all sides for
air circulation. Do not operate this appliance while it is touching or near curtains,
wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other ammable materials.
4. If this appliance begins to malfunction during use, turn the temperature control
dial to OFF, and immediately unplug the power-supply cord. Do not use or
attempt to repair the malfunctioning appliance.
5. The cord to this appliance should only be plugged into a 120 V AC electrical
wall outlet.
6. Do not use this appliance in an unstable position.
7. To reduce the risk of burns or other injuries, do not touch hot surfaces.
Use a potholder or heat-proof oven mitt to remove the stainless steel lid to serve.
Long-handled serving utensils are recommended for use with the Chang Dish.
8. Always turn the temperature control dial to OFF and unplug the Chang Dish
when not in use.
9. Do not attempt to clean the Chang Dish and Chang Dish base while it is
plugged in or while it is still hot.
Notes on the Plug
This appliance has a grounded 3-prong plug. Connect to a properly grounded outlet
only. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
Notes on the Cord
The provided short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should
be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over
a longer cord. An extension cord is not recommended for use with this product.
Plasticizer Warning
CAUTION: To prevent plasticizers from migrating to the nish of the counter top or
table top or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats between the
appliance and the nish of the counter top or table top. Failure to do so may cause
the nish to darken; permanent blemishes may occur or stains can appear.
Electric Power
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not
operate properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other
appliances.

Getting to Know Your Stainless Steel Chang Dish
Product may vary slightly from illustration
Before Using for the First Time
1. Carefully unpack the Chang Dish and remove all packaging and materials. Remove any labels from the
stainless steel surface.
2. Set the Chang Dish base on a dry, clean and at surface.
3. Place the Chang Dish into the base; then add 2 cups water to the Chang Dish. Add the lid.
4. Plug the cord into a 120 V AC electrical outlet.
5. Turn the temperature control dial to HIGH. Allow the Chang Dish to heat for 10 minutes.
NOTE: When the Chang Dish is heated for the rst time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is
normal and should disappear. This will not affect the safety of the appliance.
6. Using a protective oven mitt or potholder, grasp the lid and set aside. Discard the water. Rinse and dry,
add lid and store until ready for use.

Operating Instructions
IMPORTANT: When setting the serving area, include an oven mitt or potholder to grasp the lid, a clear area
to set the lid, and a long-handled utensil to serve food from the Chang Dish.
NOTE: Food placed in the Chang Dish should already be cooked and hot. Keep the lid in place, remove only
to serve. The Chang Dish is designed to keep food warm only; it cannot be used to cook foods.
1. Set the Chang Dish base on a dry, clean and at surface.
2. Place the Chang Dish into the Chang Dish base.
3. Add hot, cooked food to the Chang Dish. Add the lid.
WARNING: The Chang Dish base is not designed to keep large, deep pots full of food or liquids warm.
CAUTION: Do not ll the Chang Dish more than 3/4 full with food.
4. Add a long-handled utensil next to the Chang Dish for serving.
5. Plug the power-supply cord into a 120 V AC electrical outlet.
6. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired heating level:
• HIGH 158º F (70º C)
• MED 140º F (60º C)
• LOW 122º F (50º C)
NOTE: Foods containing little or no liquid should be stirred occasionally.
CAUTION: To avoid dried-out or off avors, do not leave food on the Chang Dish base for extended
periods of time or when not in use.
IMPORTANT: Always use the Chang Dish base handles to move the Chang Dish.
7. Using an oven mitt or a potholder, grasp the lid and set it aside. Serve food from the Chang Dish using
a long-handled spoon or ladle. ALWAYS replace lid after serving.
8. Turn the temperature control dial to OFF and remove plug from electrical outlet when not in use.
9. Allow unit to cool completely before cleaning.
User Maintenance Instructions
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user-serviceable parts. Any servicing requiring
disassembly other than cleaning must be performed by a qualied appliance repair technician.
Care & Cleaning Instructions
1. Always make sure the temperature control dial turned to OFF, the Chang Dish is unplugged,
and the Chang Dish base is cool before attempting to clean.
2. Using the handles, remove the Chang Dish from the Chang Dish base.
3. Hand wash the stainless steel Chang Dish and lid in warm, soapy water. Dry with a soft cloth.
NOTE: The Chang Dish is dishwasher safe.
4. Wipe the lid and exterior with a dry cloth.
NOTE: The lid is dishwasher safe.
5. Wipe the Chang Dish base with a damp cloth to remove supercial stains. Then shine with a dry cloth.
6. For stubborn stains, partially ll the Chang Dish with hot water and add to the Chang Dish base.
Plug the Chang Dish into a 120 V AC electrical outlet, turn the temperature control dial to LOW, and
allow to soak for 5 to 10 minutes. Use a wooden spoon to remove burnt particles.
7. If necessary, use a nylon or plastic pad and a small amount of any good stainless steel cleanser to clean
difcult areas.
IMPORTANT: Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleansers.
WARNING: NEVER IMMERSE THE CHAFING DISH BASE IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUID.
8. Rinse well. Dry thoroughly, shine with a dry cloth.
Storing Instructions
1. Turn the temperature control dial to OFF and remove plug from electrical outlet.
2. Store the Chang Dish and Chang Dish lid, and base in its box or in a cool, dry place.
3. Never store appliance while it is hot or still plugged in.
4. Never wrap cord tightly around the appliance. Do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the
unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.

Limited TWO-YEAR Warranty
SENSIO Inc. hereby warrants that for a period of TWO YEARS from the date
of purchase, this product will be free from mechanical defects in material and
workmanship, and for 90 days in respect to non-mechanical parts. At its sole
discretion, SENSIO Inc. will either repair or replace the product found to be defective,
or issue a refund on the product during the warranty period.
The warranty is only valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial
retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of
purchase is required to obtain warranty validation. Retail stores selling this product
do not have the right to alter, modify, or in any way revise the terms and conditions of
the warranty.
EXCLUSIONS:
The warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from
any of the following: negligent use of the product, use of improper voltage or
current, improper routine maintenance, use contrary to the operating instructions,
disassembly, repair, or alteration by anyone other than qualied SENSIO Inc.
personnel. Also, the warranty does not cover Acts of God such as re, oods,
hurricanes, or tornadoes.
SENSIO Inc. shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused
by the breach of any express or implied warranty. Apart from the extent prohibited
by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or tness for a particular
purpose is limited in time to the duration of the warranty. Some states, provinces or
jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and therefore, the
above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. The warranty covers specic
legal rights which may vary by state, province and/or jurisdiction.
HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:
You must contact Customer Service at our toll-free number: 1-866-832-4843.
A Customer Service Representative will attempt to resolve warranty issues over
the phone. If the Customer Service Representative is unable to resolve the problem,
you will be provided with a case number and asked to return the product to SENSIO
Inc. Attach a tag to the product that includes: your name, address, daytime contact
telephone number, case number, and description of the problem. Also, include a
copy of the original sales receipt. Carefully package the tagged product with the sales
receipt, and send it (with shipping and insurance prepaid) to SENSIO Inc.’s address.
SENSIO Inc. shall bear no responsibility or liability for the returned product while in
transit to SENSIO Inc.’s Customer Service Center.

Conozca su escalfador de acero inoxidable
El producto puede diferir levemente de la ilustración.
Antes de utilizar por primera vez
1. Retire con cuidado el escalfador y todos los materiales del embalaje. Retire las etiquetas de la supercie
de acero inoxidable.
2. Coloque el escalfador sobre una supercie plana, seca y limpia.

Instrucciones de funcionamiento
IMPORTANTE: Cuando prepare el área de trabajo, incluya una manopla o un agarrador para tomar la tapa,
una zona despejada para dejarla y un utensilio con mango largo para servir los alimentos del escalfador.
NOTA: Los alimentos que se coloquen en el escalfador ya deben estar cocidos y calientes. Mantenga la tapa
en su lugar, retírela sólo para servir. El escalfador está diseñado para mantener la comida caliente únicamente.
No se puede utilizar para cocinar alimentos.
1. Coloque el escalfador sobre una supercie plana, seca y limpia.
2. Coloque el escalfador sobre su base.
3. Agregue alimentos cocidos y calientes al escalfador. Agregue la tapa.
ADVERTENCIA: La base del escalfador no está diseñada para mantener calientes recipientes grandes u
hondos, llenos de alimentos o líquidos.
PRECAUCIÓN: No llene más de 3/4 del escalfador con alimentos.
4. Coloque un utensilio con mango largo junto al escalfador para servir.
5. Enchufe el cable de alimentación en un tomacorriente de CA de 120 V.
6. Gire el indicador de control de temperatura hacia el nivel de intensidad deseado:
• HIGH (Alto) 158 ºF (70 ºC)
• MED (Medio) 140 ºF (60 ºC)
• LOW (Bajo) 122 ºF (50 ºC)
NOTA: Los alimentos que contengan poco líquido o que no contengan líquido se deben revolver
ocasionalmente.
PRECAUCIÓN: Para evitar que se sequen o pierdan el sabor, no deje alimentos en la base del escalfador
durante períodos prolongados o cuando no lo utilice.
IMPORTANTE: Siempre utilice los mangos de la base del escalfador para moverlo.
7. Tome la tapa con una manopla o un agarrador, y colóquela a un lado. Sirva los alimentos del escalfador
con una cuchara o un cucharón con mango largo. SIEMPRE vuelva a colocar la tapa después de servir.
8. Coloque el indicador de control de temperatura en la posición OFF (Apagado) y retire el enchufe del
tomacorriente cuando no lo utilice.
9. Deje enfriar completamente antes de limpiar.
Instrucciones de limpieza y cuidado
Este aparato requiere poco mantenimiento. No contiene piezas que puedan ser reparadas por el usuario.
Todo mantenimiento para el que sea necesario desarmar el aparato, aparte de la limpieza, debe ser
realizado por un técnico autorizado para reparar electrodomésticos.

Instrucciones de limpieza y cuidado
1. Siempre asegúrese de que el indicador de control de temperatura esté en la posición OFF (Apagado),
el escalfador esté desenchufado y su base se haya enfriado antes de intentar limpiarlo.
2. Sujete los mangos y retire el escalfador de su base.
3. Lave a mano el escalfador de acero inoxidable y la tapa con agua tibia y jabón. Séquelo con
un paño suave.
NOTA: El escalfador se puede lavar en el lavavajillas.
4. Limpie la tapa y el exterior con un paño seco.
NOTA: La tapa se puede lavar en el lavavajillas.
5. Limpie la base del escalfador con un paño húmedo para quitar las manchas superciales. Luego, lustre
con un paño seco.
6. Para las manchas rebeldes, llene parcialmente el escalfador con agua caliente y agréguela a la base
del escalfador. Enchufe el escalfador en un tomacorriente de CA de 120 V, lleve el indicador de control
de temperatura a la posición LOW (Bajo) y déjelo en remojo durante 5 a 10 minutos. Utilice una cuchara
de madera para retirar las partículas quemadas.
7. Si es necesario, utilice una esponja de nailon o plástico con un poco de un producto de limpieza para
acero inoxidable para limpiar las zonas difíciles.
IMPORTANTE: No utilice esponjas metálicas ni productos de limpieza abrasivos.
ADVERTENCIA: NUNCA SUMERJA LA BASE DEL ESCALFADOR EN AGUA NI OTROS LÍQUIDOS.

en la unidad, ya que el cable podría desgastarse y romperse.

Garantía limitada de DOS AÑOS
Mediante la presente, SENSIO Inc. garantiza que, durante el plazo de DOS AÑOS a
partir de la fecha de compra, este producto no presentará defectos mecánicos en el
material ni en la mano de obra, y durante 90 días, no los presentará en las piezas no
mecánicas. A su entera discreción, SENSIO Inc. reparará o reemplazará el producto
que resulte defectuoso, o emitirá un reembolso por el producto durante el plazo de
garantía.
Esta garantía es válida únicamente para el comprador minorista original a partir de la
fecha de compra minorista inicial y no es transferible. Conserve el recibo de compra
original, ya que se exige una prueba de compra para obtener la validación de la
garantía. Las tiendas minoristas no tienen derecho a alterar, modicar ni corregir de
ninguna manera los términos y condiciones de la garantía.
EXCLUSIONES:
La garantía no cubre el desgaste normal de las piezas ni el daño ocasionado por
cualquiera de las siguientes causas: uso negligente del producto, uso de un voltaje
o corriente incorrectos, mantenimiento de rutina inadecuado, uso contrario al de
las instrucciones de funcionamiento, desarmado, reparación o alteración a cargo de
personas que no sean miembros del personal calicado de SENSIO Inc. Asimismo, la
garantía no cubre actos de la naturaleza, como incendios, inundaciones, huracanes o
tornados.
SENSIO Inc. no asumirá responsabilidad por daños incidentales o resultantes
ocasionados por la violación de cualquier garantía expresa o implícita. Salvo en
la medida en que lo prohíban las leyes aplicables, cualquier garantía implícita de
comerciabilidad o aptitud para un propósito particular se limita temporalmente a la
duración de la garantía. Algunos estados, provincias o jurisdicciones no permiten la
exclusión ni la limitación de daños incidentales o resultantes, o limitaciones sobre
la duración de una garantía implícita y, por lo tanto, es posible que las exclusiones o
limitaciones mencionadas no le correspondan. La garantía cubre derechos legales
especícos que pueden variar de un estado, una provincia o una jurisdicción a otros.
CÓMO OBTENER EL SERVICIO DE GARANTÍA:
Debe comunicarse con el Servicio de atención al cliente a nuestro número telefónico
gratuito: 1-866-832-4843. Un representante del Servicio de atención al cliente
intentará resolver los problemas referidos a la garantía por teléfono. Si este no puede
resolver el problema, le proporcionarán un número de caso y le solicitarán que
devuelva el producto a SENSIO Inc. Adhiera una etiqueta al producto que incluya: su
nombre, dirección, número telefónico de contacto durante el día, número de caso y
descripción del problema. Además, incluya una copia del recibo de compra original.
Envuelva cuidadosamente el producto etiquetado con el recibo de compra, y envíelo
(con el envío y el seguro prepagados) a la dirección de SENSIO Inc. SENSIO Inc. no
asumirá obligación ni responsabilidad alguna por el producto devuelto que esté en el
trayecto hacia el Centro de servicio al cliente de SENSIO Inc.
