REMOVE ODORS
Use the Styler's Refresh cycle to quickly and easily remove odors from clothes.
REFRESH CLOTHING OR ADD AN AROMA
Infuse items with the aroma from your favorite dryer fabric softener sheets to keep clothes
and accessories looking, feeling, and smelling refreshed.
REDUCE WRINKLES
The Refresh cycle also uses steam and a moving hanger that vibrates approximately 180
times per minute to reduce the wrinkles in clothing. Performance may vary depending on
fabric type.
SHARPEN CREASES IN PANTS
Hang dress trousers flat in the Styler's Pants Crease Care feature. It will crease the pants
legs and reduce wrinkles elsewhere.
GENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY DRY
The heat pump drying technology of the Gentle Dry cycle provides low-heat drying which
draws moisture from clothes without the shrinking or damage associated with hot-air
drying. Gently and safely dry alpaca, camelhair and other non-washable fabrics that have
become damp from rain or snow, and wool sweaters, hand-washable knits, and other dry-
flat items after washing.
SANITIZE AND REDUCE ALLERGENS
The Styler's Sanitary cycle uses TrueSteam™ to destroy bacteria and other microorganisms
without damaging clothes. It maintains the optimal temperature necessary to sanitize each
garment, destroying bacteria that persist even when clothes are dried in sunlight.
SMART DIAGNOSIS™
Should you experience any technical difficulty with the Styler, it has the capability of
transmitting data by phone to the Customer Information Center. The call center agent
records the data transmitted from your machine and uses it to analyze the issue, providing
a fast and effective diagnosis. (Refer to page 38.)

• Install the product where the floor is

The product may vibrate
excessively and eventually fall if installed on

• Prior to use, ensure that you are connecting
this product to a dedicated grounded
electrical outlet rated for use with this
product.
It is the user’s responsibility to
replace a standard 2-prong wall outlet with a
standard 3-prong wall outlet.
• Before use, the appliance must be properly
installed as described in this manual.
Electric shock can result if the appliance is not
properly grounded.
• Do not install the Styler where there
may be a danger of the unit falling. The
product is not designed for use on ships
or airplanes.
Check with an authorized LG
service center for use under other special

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTING ELECTRICITY
• Do not, under any circumstances, cut or
remove the ground prong from the power
cord.
To prevent personal injury or damage to
the appliance, the electrical power cord must be
plugged into a properly grounded outlet.
• This appliance must be plugged into a
120V, 60-Hz grounced outlet protected by
a 15-ampere fuse or circuit breaker.
Failure
to follow these instructions can result in fire,
explosion, or death.
• This appliance must be plugged into a
properly grounded outlet. Electrical shock
can result if the appliance is not properly
grounded. Have the wall outlet and circuit
checked by a qualified electrician to make
sure the outlet is properly grounded.
Failure
to follow these instructions can create an electric
shock hazard and/or a fire hazard.
• Install the appliance where the plug is easily
accessible. Unplug the appliance when not in
use
to avoid risk of fire or electric shock.
• Unplug the appliance before disassembly or
repair
to avoid risk of electric shock.
• The appliance should always be plugged into
its own individual electrical outlet which has
a voltage rating that matches the rating plate.
This provides the best performance and also
prevents overloading house wiring circuits which

• Never unplug your appliance by pulling on
the power cord. Always grip the plug firmly
and pull straight out from the outlet.

power cord can be damaged, resulting in a risk of

• Contact LG or a qualified repair person
immediately to repair or replace all power
cords that have become frayed or otherwise
damaged. Do not use a cord that shows
cracks or abrasion damage along its length or
at either end.
The power cord can melt, creating
electric shock and/or fire hazard.
• When installing or moving the appliance, be
careful not to pinch, crush, or damage the
power cord.
This will prevent injury and damage
to the appliance from fire and electric shock.
• Do not use a multi socket outlet which is not
properly grounded (portable). Upon using
a properly-grounded multi socket outlet
(portable), use a product with the current
capacity of 15A or higher alone.
Failure to do so
may result in electric shock or fire due to the heat
of multi socket outlet. The power may be shut off
when the circuit breaker is operated.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
install the appliance in humid spaces such
as a bathroom.
Failure to follow this warning
can cause death, serious injury, fire, electric
shock, or product deformation or malfunction.
• Remove all packing items and dispose of all
shipping materials properly.
Failure to do so

below the Styler.

• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,

appliance by a person responsible for their

• Do not place items exposed to cooking
oils in the Styler.
Items contaminated with
cooking oils may contribute to a chemical
reaction that could cause a load to catch fire.
• Do not dry articles that have been
previously cleaned in, washed in, soaked
in, or spotted with gasoline,
dry-cleaning
solvents, or other flammable or explosive
substances, as they give off vapors that could
ignite or explode.
• Do not use heat to dry articles containing
foam rubber or similarly textured rubber-like
materials.
USE
• Do not allow children to play on or in the
appliance. Close supervision of children is
necessary when the appliance is used near
children.
• Do not climb, stand, or hang on the Styler
door or on the shelf or anywhere inside the
appliance.
The appliance could fall over or
be damaged, or other damage or injury could
occur.
• Do not step on the doors to the water
tanks.
The Styler could fall and cause damage
and injury.
• Do not place heavy or dangerous objects
on top of the Styler.
• Do not put live animals inside the Styler.
• Do not allow children to climb into the
product when it is in use.
• In the event of a gas leak (propane/LPG),
ensure adequate ventilation and contact an
authorized service center before resuming
use. Do not touch or disassemble the
electrical outlet of the Styler.
• Do not use or place flammable substances
(chemicals, medicine, cosmetics, etc) near
the Styler
or store them inside the Styler.
Do not place the Styler in the vicinity of
flammable gas.
• Disconnect the power cord immediately
if you hear a noise, smell a strange odor or
detect smoke coming from the appliance.
• In the event of a flood:
Do not go near the
product when its base is submerged under
water. Contact the service center. There is a
risk of electric shock or fire.
• Do not use fabric softeners or products to
eliminate static unless recommended by
the manufacturer of the fabric softener or
product.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance must be grounded.
In
the event of malfunction or breakdown,
grounding will reduce the risk of electric
shock by providing a path of least resistance
for electric current.

This appliance must be equipped with
a cord having an equipment-grounding
conductor and a grounding plug.
The
plug must be plugged into an appropriate
outlet that is properly installed and grounded
in accordance with all local codes and
ordinances.

Do not modify the plug.

• Do not use a bleaching agent such as
oxygen or chlorine-based bleaches on the

• Avoid hitting the front glass panel with

. Although it is made of
tempered glass, the panel may break in the

Cut off the power
plug and destroy the button section to prevent

THE MOVING HANGER
Hang clothes on the moving hanger using the
hangers provided with the Styler, or use any
plastic or metal hanger that hooks snugly into the
indentations in the moving hanger.
• Use the moving hanger for suits, coats,
jackets, blouses, dresses, skirts, and pants
that don’t require a crease. Use the Pants
Crease Care to crease pants.
• Anything that can be securely placed on a
hanger and steamed or dried without retaining
hanger marks or other damage can be placed
on the moving hanger.
• Dry sweaters or knits on the shelf to avoid
hanger marks.
• Clothing should be securely fastened, with
zippers and buttons closed, so that it does not
fall off the moving hanger during the cycle.
• Arrange clothing so it does not touch the sides
or rear of the cabinet, if possible. Condensation
may form on the interior surface of the cabinet,
and items in contact with the surface may
remain damp at the end of the cycle. Hang
larger items on the diagonal indentations on
the moving hanger.
THE PANTS CREASE CARE
Hang clothes in the Pants Crease Care using
the pants hanger provided with the Styler or any
pants hanger that fits into the hooks above the
door to the Pants Crease Care.
• Open the door to the Pants Crease Care by
pressing the icon on the front.
• The Pants Crease Care keeps pants legs
creased while reducing wrinkles elsewhere.
• Pants can be pressed while refreshing other
items in the same cycle.
• For optimum results, use the Extra Pants
Care cycle which is designed for use with
the Pants Crease Care feature. This cycle can
be downloaded using the LG SmartThinQ
app and used as the Downloaded cycle. For
instructions, see
Smart Functions,
page 36,
and the instructions in the application.

door of the Pants Crease Care.

THE SHELF
Use the shelf when styling clothes or other items
that are difficult to hang or that may be damaged
by hang drying.
• Use the shelf for stuffed toys, pillows, hats,
and other accessories.
• Use the shelf for sweaters, knits, lingerie, or
delicate blouses that can show hanger marks,
stretching, or other damage if dried on a
hanger.
• For best drying performance, do not stack
items on the shelf. Dry single items or place
items side by side with space between.
• When not in use, store the shelf on the shelf
holder knobs in the back of the cabinet.
• For instructions on installing the shelf, see
Assembling the Shelf
, page 28. Do not use
the shelf for storing heavy items.
• Arrange items on the shelf so they do not
touch the sides or rear of the cabinet, if
possible. Condensation may form on the

UNPACKING THE STYLER
• Remove tape and any temporary labels
from the Styler before using.
Do not remove any warning labels, the model
and serial number label, or the Tech Sheet
that is located under the front of the Styler.
• To remove any remaining tape or glue, rub
the area briskly with your thumb.
Tape or glue residue can also be easily
removed by rubbing a small amount of liquid
dish soap over the adhesive with your fingers.
Wipe with warm water and dry.
• Do not use sharp instruments, rubbing
alcohol, flammable fluids, or abrasive
cleaners to remove tape or glue.
These products can damage the surface of
the Styler.
WARNING

Use two or more people to move and
install the Styler.
Failure to do so can result
in back injury or other injury.
y
The Styler is heavy. Use the wheels at the
bottom of the product to move it.
Push the
Styler slowly from about halfway down the
front side.
y
Keep the Styler upright when moving it.
If
you lay the Styler on its side, refrigerant may
leak and cause the appliance to malfunction.
y
Keep flammable materials and vapors,
such as gasoline, away from the Styler.
Failure to do so can result in fire, explosion,
or death.
CHOOSING THE PROPER LOCATION
Electricity
Install where an outlet is easily accessible.
Use an individual, grounded outlet:120 V ~ 60Hz 15A minimum.
WARNING:
Do not plug in multiple appliances in the same outlet
with the Styler.
Overloading house wiring can cause a fire hazard.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not install the Styler in a
wet or damp area.
Floor
Floor must be level and solid enough to support 183 lb (83 kg).
Adjust the leveling legs to compensate for any unevenness in the floor.
Do not install on a platform or a weakly supported structure. If installing on
carpeting, see
Installing on Carpeting
, page 17.
Ambient temperature
Temperature must be between 50°F (10°C) and 95°F (35°C).
If the ambient temperature is too low or high, performance may be affected.
Do not install in direct sunlight or where the temperature may fall below
32°F (0°C).
Clearances
Allow at least 18 in. (46 cm) in front to open the door.
Allow at least 2 in. (5 cm) on both sides and between the back of the Styler
and the wall. Allow at least 7 3/4 in. (20 cm) between the top of the Styler and
any overhanging shelves or cabinets.
If the Styler is too close to adjacent items, performance may decrease and

Styler. It is important to review this entire manual before installing and using the Styler.
Clearances
CAUTION
• The floor must be level, with a maximum slope of 1 inch (2.5 cm) under the Styler.
If the
slope is greater than 1 inch (2.5 cm), the appliance cannot be leveled properly.
• Do not install the Styler on a hollow or flexible platform

Closet Ventilation Requirements
Closets with doors must have both an upper and
lower vent to prevent heat and moisture buildup
in the closet. One upper vent opening with a

LEVELING THE STYLER

The appliance is heavy. Two or more
people are required when installing the
Styler. Failure to follow this warning can
cause serious injury or death.

To ensure that the Styler provides optimal
performance, it must be level. To minimize
vibration, noise, and unwanted movement, the
floor must be a perfectly level, solid surface.

All leveling feet must rest solidly on the
floor. Gently push on the corners of the
Styler to make sure that it does not rock
from corner to corner. Make sure there are
no gaps between the front leveling feet
and the floor.

Unscrew the front feet to raise the Styler or
screw in the feet to lower it. If unable to level
the unit using only the front feet, install the two
rear leveling feet by tipping the unit. Do not lay
the unit down to install the leveling feet.
Raise or lower the unit using the leveling feet
until the Styler is level from side to side and
front to back.

If installing the Styler on carpeting, follow these
instructions.

which may result in surface mold or mildew.
• Keep the bottom of the cabinet dry when
filling or emptying water tanks. Keep the
outside of the water tanks clean and dry to
discourage growth of mold or mildew.
USING NON-SKID PADS
(OPTIONAL)
Non-skid pads prevent the product from shaking
or shifting when opening or closing the door.
1 Clean the floor to attach the non-skid
pads.
Use a dry rag to remove and clean
foreign objects or moisture. If moisture
remains, the non-skid pads may slip.
2 Adjust the level after placing the Styler in
the installation area.

3 Place the adhesive side of the non-skid
pad on the floor.
4 Recheck the Styler's levelness.
Push or rock the edges of the appliance gently
to make sure that the Styler does not rock. If
the Styler rocks, level the appliance again.
• The pads may leave a sticky residue when
they are removed. The residue can be
removed with alcohol.
INSTALLING THE ANTI-TIP
DEVICE
• Appliances can tip, resulting in damage or
injuries. Do not operate the unit without the
anti-tip device in place and engaged.
If an anti-tip device is not properly installed,
the appliance could be unexpectedly tipped
by a child or adult standing, sitting, leaning, or
placing excessive weight on an open door or
the interior parts.
• Install the anti-tip device packed with the
Styler to reduce the risk of tipping.
Refer to the instructions provided with the anti-
tip kit for proper anti-tip device installation.
• Check that the anti-tip device is properly
installed.
With the appliance in its final location, make
sure that the slide adjuster on the cord is
adjusted until there is about one inch of slack
in the cord.
• The use of the anti-tip device does not
preclude tipping of the appliance when it is
not properly installed.
ASSEMBLING THE DRIP TRAY
Before using the Styler, insert the drip tray onto
the bottom of the cabinet.

BEFORE USE
Clean the Styler.
Clean the Styler thoroughly and wipe off all dust that accumulated during shipping.

Maintenance
, page 38. Do not plug in or operate the appliance until the
interior and exterior have thoroughly dried.
Connect the power supply.
Check if the power supply is connected before use.
Wash dirty clothes if necessary before putting them in the Styler.
The Styler does not have a washing function. Stains and loose dirt from
one item may transfer to others during a cycle. Wash or brush off dust
and dirt, or spot-clean items, to avoid setting stains or transferring dirt or
odors.
CAUTION

Do not scratch the Styler with a sharp object or use a detergent that
contains alcohol, bleach, a flammable liquid or an abrasive when removing
any tape or adhesive from the Styler,.

Do not peel off the model or serial number label or the technical information
on the rear surface of the Styler.

Remove adhesive residue by wiping it off with your thumb or dish detergent.

USING THE STYLER
1 PREPARE ITEMS
• Wash clothes first, if needed.
• No heat-sensitive items or items that can be damaged by exposure
to water. See

• Place items on hangers or the shelf.
• Fasten buttons and close zippers to keep items on moving hangers
and prevent damage.
2 CLEAN LINT FILTER, CHANGE SHEET IN AROMA FILTER
Lift out filter and remove lint from last load for faster and more efficient
performance. Reinstall filter, checking alignment when closing grill. Do
not operate the Styler without the lint filter in place. See

, page 24. If using a fabric softener sheet in the aroma filter,
change it after every use. See

3 CHECK WATER TANKS
Fill water supply tank if needed. Empty water drain tank if needed. Use
clean tap water in the supply tank for better product performance and
lifespan. Do not use distilled water or reuse water from the drain tank.

4 LOAD STYLER
Pay attention to fabric care labels and cycle choice. If clothing is
not appropriate for the cycle selected, it may shrink or be seriously
damaged. See

Remove all empty hangers to avoid noise, friction, and damage to clothing.
5 TURN ON STYLER
Touch Power to turn on the Styler.
6 SELECT CYCLE
Touch icons to select desired cycle and settings. See the
Cycle
Guide,
page 31.
7 BEGIN CYCLE
Touch and hold Start/Pause to begin cycle. Pause cycle at any time by
touching Start/Pause again. Restart cycle within four minutes of pausing it,
or the Styler shuts off and settings are lost. Do not open door during cycle.
If steam or hot air escape from open door, condensation may collect on
floor or walls, resulting in damage or mold.
8 END OF CYCLE
Remove items when cycle finishes. Leave door open to let hot air
escape. Interior light shuts off after 4 minutes if door is left open.

• Fabrics come in a wide variety of weights and finishes and can have different care requirements
for each variety. It is difficult to cover them adequately in this manual. Before using the Styler with
any item, check the care label before proceeding. Do not put items that are not colorfast, are heat-
sensitive, or are not suitable for washing with water in the Refresh or Sanitary cycles. Do a water blot
test on a small, inconspicuous spot (an inside seam) to determine if the fabric is colorfast. For further
assistance, consult the clothing manufacturer, a dry cleaning professional, or a more detailed fabric
care guide.
• Using the Styler with items that are very wet or are not colorfast may result in damage to the items
and staining from fabric dyes on the interior of the cabinet. These stains will not affect the operation
of the Styler. Use toothpaste to remove stains from interior of cabinet.
• The Styler does not have a washing function. Wash soiled items before use.

Always make sure the lint filter is clean before
starting a new load; a clogged lint filter will
increase drying times.

CHECKING THE WATER TANKS
Check the water in the water tanks before use.
The water supply tank must be filled with water
before using the Styler. The Styler does not work
without water. The water drain tank should be
emptied before each use.

Foreign materials in the water
may shorten the lifespan of the Styler.
• Do not use distilled water.
The
water sensor may not work.
• Do not reuse the water in the drain
tank to fill the water supply tank.

The drain tank will be filled after about three
uses. The tank fills more quickly during drying
cycles. The Styler does not work if the drain
tank is full.

are empty. Items such as clips, pens,
coins, and keys can damage both the

Hangers
The hangers that come with the Styler are for
use with the Styler only. Any plastic or metal
hanger that has a hook less than 5/32 in. (4 mm)
thick and hooks snugly into the indentations in
the moving hanger can be used in the Styler.
• Do not use hangers with wool, knitwear, or
delicate lingerie. The garments may stretch or
be left with hanger marks.
• Wrinkles may appear at the back of the collar
on some garments.
• Use the diagonal hanger grooves in the
moving hanger for large or bulky items.
• Remove empty hangers or store them in the
shelf during operation. See
Storing Hangers
,
page 28.

Choose the Styler hanger that fits the item
you are hanging up.
2 Fastenthebuttonsandzippersonall
garmentsandhangthemonhangers.
Doing so helps keep the garments from
falling or becoming more wrinkled during the
cycle. If a garment has no buttons or zipper,
fasten it with a cotton string around the collar
area.
3 Placethehangersintotheslotsofthe

• Place the hangers into the slots of the moving hanger.
Using the Moving Hanger
1 Inserthangersintoslotsandpulldownto
securethehooksnugly.
Hooks should fit down in the slots snugly to
prevent noise, vibration, or damage to items
during operation.
2 Usethediagonalslots(2and4)forbulky
items.
Do not use diagonal slots and standard slots
during the same cycle. The hangers may
knock into each other and damage clothing.
3 Donotovercrowditems.
The fewer items, the better the drying
performance. Items that touch the sides of
the cabinet may pick up condensation from
the cabinet and fail to dry completely.
Pants Hanger or Pants Crease Care
Place pants either on the moving hanger or in
the Pants Crease Care, depending on whether
maintaining the creases on the pants legs is
desired.
• Hanging pants on the moving hanger may
reduce the creases on pants legs.
• To maintain the creases on pants legs, use
the Pants Crease Care.
• The Pants Crease Care is not designed to
work with pants that are wider than 38 in. (96
cm) or longer than 43 5/16 in. (110 cm). Check
the size of the pants before using the Pants
Crease Care. If pants are too large, use the

CONTROL PANEL
The control panel responds to touch using static electricity. A light touch is enough to operate it. Use
a cloth when cleaning the controls to avoid contacting and activating the keys. Foreign substances on
the control, wearing gloves, or touching the keys through cloth may prevent the keys from activating.

Touch Power to turn the Styler ON/OFF. Once

CYCLE COMPLETION INDICATOR
This portion of the display shows which stage of
the styling cycle is currently underway (Preparing,

CHOOSING A CYCLE
Styler cycles are designed to fit a variety of
situations. Select the cycle and setting that best
match the load contents and desired results for
maximum performance and fabric care. For best
results, pay attention to garment care labels and
choose a cycle that is appropriate for the fabric
content of the items. See the
Fabric Care Guide
on pages 22-23. For a guide to the symbols used
on fabric care labels, see the chart on page 21.
Touch the cycle selector icon to select the
desired cycle. Press the icon repeatedly to select
the desired setting. When you select a cycle,
the light for the default setting will turn on. See
Using the Styler
, page 20, for more details on
operating methods.
Refresh Cycle
Use the Refresh cycle to reduce odors and
wrinkles and to dry items. This cycle uses steam
and should only be used with washable items.
The cycle is safe for washable wool and knitwear.
Sanitary Cycle
Use the Sanitary cycle to reduce germs and to dry
items. Choose this cycle for clothing, bedding,
and children's clothing and soft toys. Quilts or
blankets should be a single layer and weigh 3.3
lb (1.5 kg) or less. Do not use this cycle for wool
or knitwear, because the high temperatures and
steam can cause shrinkage.
Gentle Dry Cycle
Use the Gentle Dry cycle to reduce odors and
wrinkles and to dry items. Choose this cycle for
non-washable fabrics like cashmere. There is also
a downloadable dry cycle called Air Fresh for use
with fur and leather items. See
Smart Functions,
page 36, and the list of available cycles in the LG
SmartThinQ application.
Rain/Snow
Select this setting to refresh and gently dry damp
clothing.
Dehumidify
Dehumidifies the room where the Styler is installed.
Room dehumidifying time can be set to 2 or 4 hours
by pressing the Gentle Dry button. Alarm beep and
‘Empty Water’ error will be displayed if drain tank is
full. Empty drain tank and press Start/Pause button
to continue dehumidification.
• Night Care feature cannot be used while using
Dehumidify Course
• Use while door is open 45º. If door is closed,
the course does not operate.
• Drain tank may be filled before end of
Dehumidify cycle depending on the
environment.
• It is possible for room temperature to increase
due to outgoing airflow from Styler.
Downloaded
Download one cycle and use it to treat special fabrics
like fur and leather, reduce noise, or remove static.
The default downloaded cycle is Ready to Go, a ten minute
cycle which takes the chill out of clothes and outerwear.

• Cycle time for the Gentle Dry cycle may be
longer for wet clothes that are not spin dried.
• Very thick clothing may not be as uniformly
dry at the end of the Gentle Dry cycle.
• If the Sanitary cycle is changed to a Refresh
or Gentle Dry cycle during operation, the
sanitize process is not performed.
CAUTION
• Do not open the door during operation.
There is a risk of burns or injury from
escaping hot air or steam.
• Do not allow steam or hot air to escape
the cabinet during operation.
Opening
the door during operation also affects
performance, lengthens drying time, and
results in water condensing and collecting on

• Do not put very wet items in the Styler to
dry. Shake off or wring out excess water
before putting items in the cabinet to
dry.
If a large amount of water pools in the
cabinet, drying performance may suffer or
the product may be damaged.
• Remove or store the shelf when hanging
longer items so items won't get wrinkled.
• Fasten buttons and zippers on hanging
clothes to prevent them from falling off
hangers during operation.

LG SmartThinQ Application
The LG SmartThinQ application allows you to communi-
cate with the appliance using a smartphone.
Before Using LG SmartThinQ
• For appliances with the or logo
1 Use a smartphone to check the strength of the wire-
less router (Wi-Fi network) near the appliance.
• If the distance between the appliance and the wire-
less router is too far, the signal strength becomes
weak. It may take a long time to register or installa-
tion may fail.
2 Turn off the Mobile data or Cellular Data on your
smartphone.
3 Connect your smartphone to the wireless router.
NOTE
• To verify the Wi-Fi connection, check that Wi-Fi
icon on the control panel is lit.
• The appliance supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks only.
To check your network frequency, contact your Internet
service provider or refer to your wireless router manual.
• LG SmartThinQ is not responsible for any network con-
nection problems or any faults, malfunctions, or errors
caused by network connection.
• The surrounding wireless environment can make the
wireless network service run slowly.
• If the appliance is having trouble connecting to the Wi-
Fi network, it may be too far from the router. Purchase
a Wi-Fi repeater (range extender) to improve the Wi-Fi
signal strength.
• The network connection may not work properly de-
pending on the Internet service provider.
• The Wi-Fi connection may not connect or may be inter-
rupted because of the home network environment.
• If the appliance cannot be registered due to problems
with the wireless signal transmission, unplug the appli-
ance and wait about a minute before trying again.
• Iftherewallonyourwirelessrouterisenabled,disable
therewalloraddanexceptiontoit.
• The wireless network name (SSID) should be a com-
bination of English letters and numbers. (Do not use
special characters.)
• Smartphone user interface (UI) may vary depending on
the mobile operating system (OS) and the manufac-
turer.
• If the security protocol of the router is set to WEP,
network setup may fail. Change the security protocol
(WPA2 is recommended), and register the product
again.

Application

Set the product nickname and delete product.
NOTE
• If you change your wireless router, Internet service pro-

Use a smart phone to control the appliance remotely or

Using Remote Start

your smart phone.
NOTE
• Once the Remote Start mode is enabled, you can start
a cycle from the LG SmartThinQ smartphone applica-
tion. If the cycle is not started, the machine will wait to
start the cycle until it is turned off remotely from the
application or the Remote Start mode is disabled.
Disabling Remote Start
When the Remote Start is activated, press and hold the
Remote Start button for 3 seconds.
Downloaded
Download new and specialized cycles that are not included
in the standard cycles on the appliance.
Appliances that have been successfully registered can
downloadavarietyofspecialtycyclesspecictothe
appliance.
Only one cycle can be stored on the appliance at a time.
Once cycle download is completed in the appliance, the
appliance keeps the downloaded cycle until a new cycle is
downloaded.

Cleaning the Water Tanks
The water in the water supply tank contacts the
clothing and items treated in the Styler directly.
Clean both tanks periodically and keep them clean
at all times. If the tanks are not properly cleaned,
they may start to smell or need to be replaced.
• Some discoloration of the water drain tank
may occur over time. This is normal and will
not affect product performance.
• Use only clean tap water in the supply tank
for best performance and to prolong the life
of the product. Do not use distilled water.
• Do not reuse the water from the water drain
tank in the water supply tank.

Q: What are aroma sheets and how do I use them?
A:
Youcanuseyourfavoritebrandofdryerfabricsoftenersheetsinthearomaltertoinfuse
items with a refreshing aroma. The sheets will not soften garments or reduce static. To
usethearomalter,addasoftenersheetbeforerunningacycle.Disposeofthesoftener
sheetattheendofthecycle.Forbestperformance,cleanthearomalterafterevery5-7
uses. See Changing the Aroma Sheet, page 24 and Cleaning the Aroma Filter, page 39.
Q: Can I put fur, leather, or silk items in the Styler?
A:
Download the Air Fresh cycle for use with fur, leather, or silk items in the Styler. For
instructions on downloading new cycles for the Styler, see Smart Functions, page 36,
and the instructions in the LG SmartThinQ smartphone application.
Q: Why is the cycle time longer than estimated for the Gentle Dry cycle?
A:
The Styler uses a sensor to sense the dryness of fabrics. If clothing or other items are
not dried properly, the cycle time is extended automatically (except for Time Dry cycles).
Q: Can I install the Styler on carpeting?
A:
If installing on carpeting (especially on padded or deep pile carpets), stabilize the unit by
installing the rear leveling legs and the four carpet spikes. For instructions, see
Installing
on Carpeting
, page 17.
Extra care must be taken to keep the area around the machine clean and dry. Do not
open the cabinet during operation. There is a risk of burns or injury, and condensation
from escaping hot air or steam could result in damage to carpeting.

problems at an early stage. If your appliance does not function properly or does not function at all,
check the following before you call for service.

ELIMINE OLORES
Utilice el ciclo refrescante(Refresh Cycle) del Styler para eliminar los olores rápida y
fácilmente de la ropa.
REFRESQUE LA ROPA O AÑADA UN AROMA
Perfume la ropa con láminas de aroma de su suavizante para telas favorito para que las
prendas y los accesorios siempre se vean, se sientan y huelan bien.
ELIMINE ARRUGAS
El ciclo refrescante(Refresh Cycle) también utiliza vapor y una percha móvil que vibra
aproximadamente 180 veces por minuto para disminuír las arrugas en las prendas.
PANTALONES CON PLIEGUES BIEN DEFINIDOS
Cuelgue los pantalones de vestir bien doblados en la función de cuidado de pantalones
con pliegues del Styler. Marcará los pliegues de las piernas de los pantalones y reducirá las
arrugas en otros lugares.
SECADO SUAVE Y EFECTIVO
La tecnología de secado con bomba de calor permite que la ropa se seque a bajas
temperaturas sin encogerlos ni dañarlos, como secarlos con aire caliente. Seque
suavemente y con protección la alpaca, el pelo de camello y otros tejidos no lavables que
se hayan mojado con lluvia o nieve; y suéteres de lana, tejidos lavables a mano y otros
artículos que deben secarse en posición extendida después del lavado.
DESINFECTE Y REDUZCA LOS ALÉRGENOS
El ciclo de desinfección(Sanitary) del Styler utiliza TrueSteam ™ para destruir las bacterias
y otros microorganismos sin dañar la ropa. Mantiene la temperatura óptima necesaria para
desinfectar cada prenda, destruyendo las bacterias que persisten incluso cuando la ropa se
seca a la luz del sol.
SMART DIAGNOSIS™
Si experimenta alguna dificultad técnica con el Styler, este tiene la capacidad de transmitir
datos por teléfono al Centro de Información al Cliente. El agente del centro de llamadas
registra los datos transmitidos desde su máquina y los utiliza para analizar el problema,

LA PERCHA MÓVIL
Cuelgue la ropa en la percha móvil utilizando los
soportes suministrados con el Styler, o utilice
cualquier gancho de plástico o metal que enganche
perfectamente en las ranuras de la percha móvil.
• Utilice la percha móvil para trajes, abrigos,
chaquetas, blusas, vestidos, faldas y pantalones
que no requieren de un pliegue. Utilice el
Cuidado para pantalones con pliegues para los
pantalones con pliegues.
• Cualquier cosa que se pueda colocar de forma
segura en un gancho y vaporizar o secar sin
retener marcas de los ganchos u otros daños se
puede colocar en la percha móvil.
• Seque los suéteres o tejidos en el estante para
evitar marcas de los ganchos.
• La ropa se debe sujetar bien con las cremalleras
y los botones cerrados, de manera que no se
caiga de la percha móvil durante el ciclo.
• Si es posible, organice la ropa para que no toque
los lados o la parte trasera del gabinete. Se puede
formar condensación en la superficie interior
del gabinete, y los artículos en contacto con la
superficie pueden permanecer húmedos al final
del ciclo. Cuelgue los artículos más grandes en las
ranuras diagonales de la percha móvil.
CUIDADO PARA PANTALONES
CON PLIEGUES
Cuelgue la ropa en el juego de cuidado para
pantalones con pliegue con el gancho de pantalones
proporcionada con el Styler o cualquier gancho de
pantalones que encaje en los ganchos por encima
de la puerta del juego de cuidado para pantalones
con pliegue.
• Abra la puerta del juego de cuidado para
pantalones con pliegue pulsando el icono en la
parte delantera.
• El Cuidado de Pantalones con Pliegues mantiene
las piernas de éstos plegadas mientras reduce
arrugas de otras partes.
• Los pantalones se pueden planchar al refrescar
otros artículos en el mismo ciclo.
• Para obtener resultados óptimos, utilice el
juego de Cuidado extra de pantalones que
está diseñado para su uso con la función
de cuidado para pantalones con pliegues.
Este ciclo se puede descargar mediante la
aplicación LG SmartThinQ y usarse como ciclo

DESEMBALAJE DEL STYLER
• Retire la cinta y las etiquetas temporales del
Styler antes de usar.
No quite las etiquetas de advertencia, la etiqueta
del modelo y el número de serie, o la hoja de
especificaciones técnicas que se encuentra
debajo de la parte delantera del Styler.
• Para quitar cualquier cinta o pegamento
restante, frote el área enérgicamente con el
dedo pulgar.
Los residuos de pegamento o de cinta adhesiva
también se pueden quitar fácilmente frotando
una pequeña cantidad de jabón líquido sobre el
adhesivo con los dedos. Limpie con agua tibia y
seque.
• No use instrumentos filosos, alcohol para
fricciones, líquidos inflamables o limpiadores
abrasivos para quitar cinta adhesiva o
pegamento.

Temperatura ambiente
La temperatura debe estar entre 50°F (10°C) y 95°F (35°C).
Si la temperatura ambiente es demasiado alta o baja, el rendimiento puede verse
afectado.
No lo instale en la luz solar directa o donde la temperatura pueda descender por
debajo de los 32°F (0°C).
Espacios libres
Deje por lo menos 40 cm delante para abrir la puerta.
Deje al menos 5 cm en ambos lados y entre la parte posterior del Styler y la pared.
Deje al menos 20 cm entre la parte superior del Styler y cualquier estante o armario
colgante.
Si el Styler está demasiado cerca de elementos adyacentes, el rendimiento

Todas las patas de nivelación deben descansar
firmemente en el suelo. Presione suavemente
las esquinas del Styler para asegurarse de que

Desenrosque las patas delanteras para elevar
el Styler o enrósquelas para bajarlo. Si no

Suba o baje la unidad utilizando las patas de

con el Styler para reducir el riesgo de
vuelco.
Consulte las instrucciones suministradas con el
juego antivuelco para la correcta instalación del
dispositivo antivuelco.
• Compruebe que el dispositivo antivuelco
esté instalado correctamente.
Con el aparato en su ubicación final, asegúrese
de que el ajustador del deslizador sobre el
cable se ajuste hasta que haya alrededor de
una 2.5cm pulgada de holgura en el cable.
• El uso del dispositivo antivuelco no evita
que el aparato se caiga cuando no se ha

Saque el filtro y quite las pelusas de la última carga para un rendimiento más rápido y más

COMIENCE EL CICLO
Toque y mantenga presionado Inicio/Pausa para iniciar el ciclo. Detenga el ciclo en cualquier
momento tocando Inicio/Pausa otra vez. Reinicie el ciclo dentro de los cuatro minutos tras
haberlo detenido, o el Styler se apagará y los ajustes se perderán. No abra la puerta durante
el ciclo. Si el vapor o el aire caliente escapan de la puerta abierta, la condensación puede
acumularse en el suelo o en las paredes y generar daños o la aparición de moho.
8 FIN DEL CICLO
Retire las prendas cuando termine el ciclo. Deje la puerta abierta para dejar
escapar el aire caliente. La luz interior se apaga después de 4minutos si la
puerta se deja abierta.
9 Cable de alimentación
Si el Cable de alimentación es dañado, éste debe sustituirse por el fabricante,
por su agente de servicio autorizado o por personal calificado con el fin de evitar

Revise el agua en los tanques de agua antes de
su uso. El tanque de suministro de agua debe
estar lleno de agua antes de usar el Styler. El
Styler no funciona sin agua. El tanque de drenaje
de agua se debe vaciar antes de cada uso.

puede utilizar aproximadamente cuatro veces,
dependiendo de los ciclos utilizados. Use
agua limpia del grifo o embotellada para un
mejor rendimiento y una mayor vida útil del
producto. No utilice agua destilada ni reutilice
el agua del tanque de drenaje.
La primera vez que se utiliza el Styler,
se utilizan 2/3 del agua en el tanque de

Ganchos
Los ganchos que vienen con el Styler son para
usar únicamente con el Styler. Cualquier percha de
plástico o metal que tenga un gancho de menos
de 5/32 pulgadas (4 mm) de grosor y ganchos
instalados en las hendiduras de la percha móvil se
pueden utilizar en el Styler.
• No utilice los ganchos con prendas de lana,
prendas de punto o lencería delicada. Las
prendas pueden estirarse o quedar con marcas
de los ganchos.
• Pueden aparecer arrugas en la parte posterior del
cuello en algunas prendas.
• Use las ranuras de suspensión diagonales
de la percha móvil para artículos grandes o
voluminosos.
• Retire los ganchos vacías o almacénelas
en la repisa durante la operación. Consulte

Elija el gancho de Styler que se ajuste al artículo
que va a colgar.
Si lo hace, las prendas no se caerán ni se
arrugarán más durante el ciclo. Si una prenda
no tiene botones o cremallera, ciérrela con una
cinta de algodón alrededor de la zona del cuello.

No utilice ranuras diagonales y ranuras estándar
durante el mismo ciclo. Los ganchos pueden
golpearse entre sí y dañar la ropa.
Mientras menor sea el número de artículos,
mayor será el rendimiento del secado. Los
artículos que tocan los lados del gabinete
pueden recoger la condensación del gabinete y
no secarse completamente.
Gancho para pantalones o juego de
cuidado para pantalones con pliegue
Coloque los pantalones, ya sea en la percha móvil
o el juego de cuidado para pantalones con pliegue,
dependiendo de si se desea el mantenimiento de los
pliegues en las piernas de los pantalones.
• Colgar los pantalones en la percha móvil puede

los pantalones, use el juego para cuidado de

cm o más largos de 110 cm para poder entrar en

Compruebe el tamaño de los pantalones antes
de usar el juego para cuidado de pantalones con
pliegue. Si los pantalones son muy grandes, use
la percha móvil.
• El contenido de la tela de las prendas afecta el
nivel de reduccion de las arrugas.
• Utilice el ciclo Cuidado Extra de Pantalones
descargado predeterminadamente para eliminar las
arrugas de los pantalones de la forma más eficaz.

ELECCIÓN DE UN CICLO
Los ciclos del Styler están diseñados para adaptarse
a una variedad de situaciones. Seleccione el ciclo
y el ajuste que mejor coincida con el contenido de
carga y los resultados deseados para el máximo
rendimiento y cuidado de la ropa. Para obtener los
mejores resultados, preste atención a las etiquetas
de cuidado de las prendas de vestir y elija un ciclo
que sea apropiado para el contenido de la tela. Para
ver una guía de símbolos utilizados en las etiquetas
de cuidado de las telas, consulte la tabla de la página

Toque el icono de selección de ciclos para
seleccionar el ciclo deseado. Pulse el icono varias
veces para seleccionar el ajuste deseado. Cuando
se seleccione un ciclo, se encenderá la luz de la

Ciclo refrescante(Refresh Cycle)
Utilice el ciclo refrescante(Refresh Cycle) para
eliminar olores y arrugas, y para secar prendas. Este
ciclo utiliza vapor y solo debe utilizarse con artículos
lavables. El ciclo es seguro para lana lavable y
prendas de punto.
Ciclo de desinfección(Sanitary)
Utilice el ciclo de Desinfección(Sanitary) para
reducir gérmenes y para secar prendas. Seleccione
este ciclo para prendas de vestir, ropa de cama,
ropa de niños y juguetes. No use este ciclo
para lana o prendas de punto, debido a que las
altas temperaturas y el vapor pueden causar
encogimiento.
Desinfección profunda
Use este ciclo para ropa, ropa de cama o juguetes
de peluche. Los edredones o mantas deben ser de
una sola capa y pesar 3,3 libras (1,5 kg) o menos.
Ciclo de secado suave(Gentle Dry)
Utilice el ciclo de Secado Suave(Gentle Dry) para
reducir olores y arrugas, y para secar prendas.
Seleccione este ciclo para los tejidos no lavables
como la seda y el cachemir. También puede descargar
el ciclo de secado Fresh Air para artículos de piel y
cuero. Consulte Descarga de ciclos del Styler, pá-
gina 36.
Dehumidify[Deshumidicar]
Deshumidifica la habitación donde está instalado el
Styler. Habitación El tiempo de deshumidificación
se puede configurar en 2 o 4 horas presionando
la tecla Botón Gentle Dry. El pitido de alarma y el
error "Empty Water" se mostrará si el tanque de
drenaje está lleno. Vaciar el tanque de drenaje y
presionar Botón de inicio / pausa para continuar la
deshumidificación.
•La función Cuidado nocturno no se puede usar
mientras se usa Curso de deshumidificación

Descargue un ciclo y utilícelo para tratar telas
especiales como pieles y cuero, para reducir el ruido
o para remover la estática. El ciclo descargado de
forma predeterminada es Ready to Go (Listo para
Ir), un ciclo de diez minutos que le quita el frío a sus

• Durante los ciclos de desinfección y
refrescante, la máquina hará un sonido de
ebullición y sibilante como de agua hirviendo
para producir vapor y rociar el vapor en la
ropa. Es normal.
• La percha móvil se moverá, incluso cuando
solo se esté utilizando la repisa.
• Los tiempos de ciclo pueden variar
dependiendo del entorno de uso, incluyendo
la temperatura del agua.
• El tiempo de ciclo para el ciclo de secado
suave(Gentle Dry) puede ser más largo para
la ropa mojada que no se seca de manera
centrífuga.
• La ropa muy gruesa podría no secarse de
manera uniforme al final del ciclo de secado
suave(Gentle Dry).
• Si el ciclo de desinfección(Sanitary) se cambia
a un ciclo refrescante o secado suave durante
la operación, no se realiza el proceso de
desinfección.
PRECAUCIÓN
• No abra la puerta durante el funcionamiento.
Existe el riesgo de quemaduras o lesiones
provocadas por el aire o vapor caliente que sale
del aparato.
• No permita que el vapor o aire caliente
escape del gabinete durante la operación.
Abrir la puerta durante el funcionamiento
también afecta al rendimiento, alarga el
tiempo de secado, y provoca condensación y
acumulación de agua en el suelo.
• No coloque artículos muy húmedos a secar
en el Styler. Sacuda o escurra el exceso de
agua antes de poner los artículos a secar en
la repisa.
Si hay una gran cantidad de charcos
de agua en el gabinete, el rendimiento del
secado puede verse perjudicado o se puede
dañar el producto.
• Retire o almacene la repisa al colgar
artículos largos para que no se arruguen.
• Cierre los botones y las cremalleras de
la ropa para evitar que se caigan de los
ganchos durante el funcionamiento.

• El ajuste del bloqueo de controles(Control
Lock) se mantiene incluso si hay un corte de
energía.
• Una vez establecido, el bloqueo de
controles(Control Lock) permanece activo
hasta que se desactiva manualmente. El
bloqueo de controles(Control Lock) debe ser
desactivado para hacer funcionar otro ciclo.
Conguración de un horario de
inicio retardado(Delay Start)
Utilice la función de inicio retardado(Delay Start)
para retrasar la hora de inicio del ciclo.

El tiempo de retardo predeterminado es de tres
horas. Cada vez que pulse el botón, el tiempo
aumentará una hora, hasta 19 horas.
• Toque y mantenga presionado el botón

Cuidado nocturno(Night Care)
Use la función Cuidado nocturno(Night Care) para
guardar prendas durante la noche o cuando las
prendas no puedan sacarse justo después de que
el ciclo haya finalizado. Cuidado nocturno(Night
Care) produce aire caliente de forma periódica para
evitar la condensación y mantener las prendas
calientes y secas hasta que llegue el momento de
sacarlas.
•Cuandoseconfigura,lafunciónCuidadonocturno
(Night Care) se inicia una vez finalizado el ciclo
seleccionado.
•LafunciónCuidadonocturno(NightCare)nopuede
configurarse después de un ciclo de secado.

•Cuidadonocturno(NightCare)funcionaduranteun

Aplicación LG SmartThinQ
La aplicación LG SmartThinQ le permite comunicarse con el
electrodoméstico usando un teléfono inteligente.
Previo a utilizar LG SmartThinQ
• Para electrodomésticos con el logo o

Remote Start (Inicio Remoto)
Utilice un teléfono inteligente para controlar el electrodo-
méstico de forma remota o para revisar el tiempo restante
del ciclo.
Uso de Inicio remoto
1 Presione el botón de Encendido/Apagado.
2 Mantenga presionado el botón Remote Start por 3
segundos para habilitar la función Inicio Remoto.
3 Inicie un ciclo desde la aplicación LG SmartThinQ en su
teléfono inteligente.
NOTA
• Una vez habilitado el Inicio Remoto, usted puede
empezar un ciclo desde la aplicación LG SmartThinQ
para teléfonos inteligentes. Si el ciclo no es iniciado, la
máquina esperará a que el ciclo se inicie hasta que esta
se apague de forma remota desde la aplicación, o al
deshabilitar el modo de Inicio Remoto.

Cuando el Inicio Remoto esté activado, mantenga presio-

Descargue ciclos nuevos y especiales que no se encuentran
incluidos en los ciclos básicos del artefacto.
Los artefactos que se encuentran correctamente
registrados tienen la posibilidad de descargar una variedad
deciclosespecialesespecícosparaellos.
Solamente puede guardarse un ciclo a la vez en el
artefacto.
Una vez que se completa la descarga de un ciclo en el
artefacto, el producto mantiene el ciclo descargado hasta
que se descarga un nuevo ciclo.
