This styling iron features a unique cooling
system for the outer barrel. A fan releases cool
air along the outside of the barrel to help set
your style and creates long-lasting curls.
USING INSTANT HEAT, THE 3

This styling iron features a heater that
maintains constant temperature during use
for precision styling.
The Instant Heat technology has 3 heat settings.
There is a temperature range that’s gentle and
safe for every type of hair, from the finest to the
most resistant, and helps you create the look
you want.
If you have fine hair, a low temperature will
provide the best results. If you have thick, wavy
or hard-to-style hair, keep the heat setting on
high. Always test a small section of hair to
ensure the proper heat setting for your hair.
You can vary the iron’s temperature according
to your particular need!

and other debris.

14. Do not touch hot surfaces of the appliance.
Use handles or knobs.
15. Do not attempt to touch the housing of
your appliance near the plates, as it is hot
when in use.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This
unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance on
hair extensions.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY
TIME YOU USE APPLIANCE
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety feature
that renders it inoperable under some abnormal
conditions, such as immersion in water. To make
sure the ALCI is functioning properly, perform the
following test. The purpose of this test is to allow
you to make sure the water sensing system (ALCI)
is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button
on plug.
2. The appliance will stop working. There will be
an audible click and reset button will pop out. This
indicates the ALCI is functioning properly.
3. To reset ALCI, unit should be unplugged. Then
push reset button in and reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this unit
be brought to a service center. Do not try to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use
the unit to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go off and the reset
button pop up during use, this could indicate a
malfunction in the unit. Remove plug from outlet
and allow the appliance to cool. Reinsert plug
into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally. If
not, return it to a retailer for evaluation and repair.
STYLING WITH THE
TOURMALINE CERAMIC-COATED
EASY-GLIDE PLATES & BARREL
Your new styler has a toumaline ceramic-coated,
easy-glide surface. This means it’s not only
simpler to clean off styling product residue, etc.,
after each use, but you’ll find that hair glides
easily over the surface of the plates as you’re
styling. The ceramic surface also helps smooth
down flyaways.
It evenly distributes heat so that the style
you create has a salon-perfect, silky smooth,
shiny finish.
Conair’s professional salon standards of
engineering provide you with a uniform and
improved heat recovery system that maintains
the iron at constant temperatures. There is a
constant supply of power to ensure that heat is
continuously and quickly delivered for optimal
styling results, unlike other units, which lose
heat during use. This provides consistent styling
power so that every strand of your hair is set
with the same level of heat and comes out the
same way for a perfect finish.
Never leave your styler on and unattended.
However, should you fail to turn the iron off,
it will shut itself off automatically within
60 minutes.

GETTING STARTED
Plug the styler into any standard electrical
outlet. The RED temperature setting and GREEN
fan LED light up immediately. The lights blink
and cycle through 3 times and then turn off.
Press and hold ON/OFF button for 1–2 seconds
to turn the styler on. The unit will automatically
to default to the MEDIUM heat setting. The
LOW and MEDIUM setting turn to a red LED.
The LOW red LED will remain solid, while the
MEDIUM red LED blinks. It will stop blinking
and become solid when desired temperature is
reached. The GREEN fan LED blinks and then
becomes solid. The fan starts to release cool air
until the temperature has reached the correct
heat setting.
Press the ON/OFF button again to select your
desired temperature setting. Press the ON/OFF
button 2 times quickly to turn off fan. The GREEN
LED will blink. Press the ON/OFF button 2 times
quickly again to turn on the fan. The GREEN
LED becomes solid. Press and hold the ON/OFF
button for 1–2 seconds to turn the unit off. The
RED LED light will turn off immediately. The fan
and GREEN LED will remain for a few seconds
and then turn off. Unplug the unit. Allow the
styler to cool down before storing.
WARNING: The styler will get very hot within
a few seconds and should not be placed in
contact with the skin after the unit has
been turned on.

button again. Press and release button until you
reach the temperature you desire. As the
temperature increases to the next setting, the
LED lights will blink as follows:

LOW red LED light blinks, then turns solid when
the temperature has been reached.

TO CURL HAIR
Hair should be clean and completely dry before
using the styler. Ensure hair is dry and combed
through.
1. Separate a section of hair. The smaller the
section, the more defined the curl. The larger the
section, the looser the curl or wave.
2. Press and hold the Open/
Close button to open plates.
Take a section of hair and
place between the plates,
roughly 2 inches from the
roots. (See Fig. 1.) Release
the plates by letting go
of the Open/Close button.
3. Turn the styler 180° back
on itself, so that the hair is
wrapped once around the
outside of the styler (Fig. 2).
Cool tips provide a safe,
heat-resistant place to hold
the styler while you curl.
4. Slowly glide the styler
along the length of hair
from roots to ends in a
downward motion (Fig. 3).
5. Release the hair from the
styler. The cool air outlet sets the style.
6. Repeat for each section of hair.

REVESTIMIENTO DE

Este aparato cuentan con un revestimiento
de cerámica/turmalina de fácil deslizamiento.
Notará que el cabello se desliza fácilmente sobre
el revestimiento y que es muy fácil limpiar el
aparato después de cada uso. El revestimiento
de cerámica también ayuda a controlar
la estática.
Distribuye el calor uniformemente, para
crear peinados sedosos y brillantes, igual que
en el salón.
SISTEMA DE AIRE ÚNICO

DE OPERACIÓN
Úselo solamente con corriente alterna (60 Hz).
Este aparato ha sido diseñado para funcionar con
corriente de 120 V AC.
El cable de este aparato cuenta con un enchufe
polarizado (una pata es más ancha que la otra).
Como medida de seguridad, se podrá enchufar
de una sola manera en la toma de corriente
polarizada. Si no entra en la toma de corriente,
inviértalo. Si aun así no entra completamente,
comuníquese con un electricista. No intente ir en
contra de esta función de seguridad.
NOTA: no use este aparato en cabello
sintético/extensiones.

ANTES DE CADA USO
Este aparato cuenta con un interruptor de
control de potencia (ALCI, por sus siglas en
inglés) que apaga el aparato inmediatamente
si este cae al agua. Haga la prueba siguiente
antes de cada uso para asegurarse de que el
interruptor de control de potencia y el sistema
de detección de agua funcionen correctamente:
1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de
prueba.
2. El aparato dejará de funcionar. Se oirá
un “clic” y el botón de reinicio saltará; esto
significa que el interruptor de control de
potencia está funcionando debidamente.
3. Para reajustar el interruptor de control de
potencia, desenchufe el aparato. Luego, oprima
el botón de reinicio y vuelva a conectar el cable.
4. Si el interruptor de control de potencia no
funciona correctamente, devuelva el aparato a
un centro de servicio autorizado.
5. Si el aparato se cae al agua, es muy
importante que lo devuelva a nuestro centro de
servicio; no intente reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el interruptor de control de potencia
antes de cada uso para comprobar que está
funcionando correctamente.
Si el aparato se apaga y el botón de reinicio
salta durante el uso, esto puede indicar un mal
funcionamiento. En caso de que esto suceda,
desenchufe el aparato y permita que se enfríe.
Luego, vuelva a enchufar el cable.
El aparato debería funcionar normalmente. De
no ser así, devuélvalo a un centro de servicio
autorizado para su revisión y reparación.

Este aparato disfruta de los mismos estándares
de calidad e ingeniería que los aparatos
profesionales y cuenta con un sistema de
recuperación del calor. A diferencia de otras
herramientas cuya temperatura baja durante el
uso, este sistema mantiene la temperatura
constante, sin pérdida de calor. El aparato usa
la misma temperatura para peinar cada sección,
lo que permite obtener resultados uniformes y
peinados perfectos.
Nunca descuide/deje el aparato sin vigilancia
después de encenderlo. Para su seguridad,
el aparato se apagará automáticamente
después de 60 minutos.
FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
Enchufe el cable en una toma de corriente.
Los indicadores luminosos ROJOS de la
temperatura y el indicador luminoso VERDE
del aire se encenderán de inmediato. Las luces
parpadearán por unos segundos y luego se
apagarán. Oprima y mantenga oprimido el
botón ON/OFF (encendido/apagado) por 1 a 2
segundos para encender el aparato. La unidad se
encenderá automáticamente en el ajuste de
temperatura MEDIA (M). El indicador luminoso
rojo de la temperatura BAJA (L) y el de la
temperatura MEDIA (M) se encenderán. La luz
roja de la temperatura BAJA (L) permanecerá
encendida, mientras que la luz roja de la
temperatura MEDIA (M) parpadeará. Cuando
la unidad alcance la temperatura ideal, la
luz roja de la temperatura MEDIA (M) dejará
de parpadear y permanecerá encendida. El
indicador luminoso VERDE del aire parpadeará y
luego permenecerá encendido. El aire comenzará
a salir hasta que la unidad haya alcanzado la
temperatura adecuada.
Para seleccionar otra temperatura, oprima

segundos y luego se apagarán. Desenchufe el
aparato. Permita que el aparato se enfríe
completamente antes de guardarlo.

CÓMO AJUSTAR LA TEMPERATURA
Para seleccionar la temperatura deseada,

CÓMO RIZAR EL CABELLO
El cabello debe estar limpio y completamente
seco. Cerciórese de que el cabello esté seco
y desenredado.
1. Divida el cabello en secciones. Cuanto más
delgadas sean las secciones, más definidos
serán los rizos. Cuanto más anchas sean las
secciones, más sueltos serán los rizos y las
ondas.
2. Presione y mantenga
presionado el botón de
liberación ("RELEASE") para
abrir las placas. Tome una
sección de cabello y
colóquela entre las placas a
aprox. 2 in. (5cm) de la raíz (Fig. 1).

USER MAINTENANCE
Your styling iron is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from
the power source, allow to cool and wipe
exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition
occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and
return it for repair to an Authorized Service
Center only. No repairs should be attempted by
the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the appliance. Damage will occur
at the high flex point of entry into the appliance,
causing it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect
the cord frequently for damage. Stop use
immediately if damage is visible or if unit stops
or operates intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to store.
Allow appliance to cool, then simply store out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not
jerk or strain cord at plug connections. Do not
wrap the line cord around the appliance. Allow
the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the
point of entry into the appliance.
LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY
(U.S. AND CANADA ONLY)
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your
unit free of charge for 12 months from the date of
purchase if the appliance is defective in workmanship
or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the
defective product to the service center listed, together
with your purchase receipt. California residents
need only provide proof of purchase and should
call 1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping instructions. In
the absence of a purchase receipt, the warranty
period shall be 12 months from the date of
manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR
LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY
AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,

INSTRUCCIONES DE

Este aparato requiere poco mantenimiento.
No necesita lubricación. Mantenga todos los
