Safety Input module type number GS75102101. Monitors the DuplineSafe
bus in Test Unit mode.
Highly recommended for DuplineSafe system start-up, trouble-
shooting and maintenance.
Modes of Operation
There are two modes of operation for the DuplineSafe Configuration and
test unit:
1. Configuration mode and
2. Test Unit mode
In Configuration mode the unit can set up the DuplineSafe Safety Relay
Output module or the Safety Input module.
In Test Unit mode the unit can monitor the Safety units on the DuplineSafe
bus.
Activation of the Con figuration and Test Unit for both modes is done by
pressing the “Read / On” button.
Determination of the mode of operation is done automatically according to
the connection used. If the RJ connection is used, the configuration mode
will be entered. If the jack connector is used, the Test Unit mode will be
entered.

Betriebsarten
Das DuplineSafe Konfigurier- und Testgerät bietet zwei Betriebsarten:
1. Konfiguration und
2. Test
In „Konfiguration“ dient die Einheit der Einstellung der DuplineSafe-
Relaisausgangs module oder der Sicherheits-Eingangsmodule.
In „Test“ überwacht das Gerät die Sicherheitsmo dule im DuplineSafe-Bus.
Beide Betriebsarten werden mit einem Druck auf die „Read / On“-Taste
aktiviert.
Je nach Anschlusstyp wird die entsprechende Betriebs art automatisch
gewählt. Wenn der RJ-Anschluss angesteuert wird, wird die Betriebsart
„Konfiguration“ aktiviert. Ansteuerung des Jack-Anschlusses aktiviert die
Betriebsart „Test“.

“Send data to unit? Yes / No”. Press button “Yes” to send the entered
configuration to the connected Safety Relay Output module. Press “No” to
reenter the configuration data.
Input Unit:
If a Safety Input module is connected through the ADAPT 7380, the
following screen will be shown:
As shown, a cursor will start at the first letter. Enter the letter required. The
letters on the Con figuration and Test Unit buttons work just like on a cell
phone (e.g. press 3 times on button “2” to get an “F”). Press “Yes” to go
forward and press “No” to go back.
When done, the following text will appear: “Send data to unit? Yes / No”.
Press button “Yes” to send the entered configuration to the connected
Safety Input module. Press “No” to reenter the con figuration data.
Test Unit Mode
When connecting to a DuplineSafe bus, the Test Unit mode is entered.
When activating the unit as described above the text “GTU mode selected!”
is shown shortly on the display, followed by the text “Enter Sync. Channel:
A1”.
Here the Sync. Channel used in the connected DuplineSafe system must be
entered. Press the “No” button to change the Sync. Channel, or press the
“Yes” button to use the default A1 channel.
When the “Yes” button is pressed, the GTU unit will try to lock on to the
Sync. Channel. During this operation, the words “Please Wait.! Locking
Sync.*” will be shown in the display.
If the sync. Channel is found, the text “Sync. Channel Locked to: xx” (xx
is the channel entered) will be shown in the display, or else “Sync. Channel
Not Found!” will be displayed, and the Sync. Channel can be reentered.
If the Sync. Channel is OK, the top line in the display will show “UNITS ON
GROUP.A” and the bottom line will show the current state of the Safety Input
modules on group A:
Explanation of symbols used in the bottom line:
1. “S”: The Sync. Channel is placed on this Dupline channel.
2. “--“ The Channels are unused.
3. Ordinary numbers, e.g “34”: An Input unit is placed on these chan nels
and it’s not activated.
4. Darkened numbers, e.g “ ”: An Input unit is placed on these
channels and it’s activated.
Press button “Yes” to go to the next group or press “No” to go to the previous
group.
Low Battery
If, when activating the Con figuration and Test Unit, “ * LOW BATTERY * ”
is showed in the display, it is time for changing the battery. The unit will
continue to work, but it is recommended that the battery is changed. The
battery is changed by dismounting the 4 screws on the back of the unit
and removing the back cover. After that, take out the PCB, change the 9V
battery and then reassemble the unit.

Configuration Mode
When connecting to a DuplineSafe Safety Relay Output module directly or
to a Safety Input module through the Adapt 7380, configuration mode is
enabled. This is done automatically when activating the unit where the text
“Configurator mode selected!” is shown shortly in the display, followed by
the text “Config Unit begin?”. Now pressing the “Read / On” or the “Yes”
button will start the reading of the connected unit, “Reading Configuration”
is shown in the display while reading is in progress.
Output Unit:
If a Safety Relay Output module is connected the following screen will now
be shown:
Here the number of channels selected on the Dupline channel generator
must be entered. Press ”No” to change, press ”Yes” to approve and
continue.
The next thing to do is selecting the channels where Safety Input modules
are placed. The following screen is shown on the display (Note. In Grp.A
channels 1 and 2 are not selectable):
The black numbers show that a Safety Input is selected for these channels.
The ordinary big numbers show that the channels are not used. To change
channels 1,2 use button “1” or “2”. To change channels 3,4 use button “3” or
”4”, channels 5,6 use button “5” or “6”, channels 7,8 use Button “7” or “8”.
Use button “No” to go back and button “Yes” to approve. Selecting Safety
Inputs must be done for all used Dupline groups.
Next, the synchronization channel must be entered.
Press “No” to change Sync channel and “Yes” to approve. The letters on
the Configuration and Test Unit buttons works just like on a cell phone (e.g.
press 3 times on button “2” to get an “F”).
Next, you must enter whether the currently connected Safety Relay Output
module should generate the sync channel, or if it should just listen to a sync
channel gene rated by another Safety Relay Output module.
Press the button “1” for Yes and the button “2” for No. Press the button “No”
to go back and press the button “Yes” to approve.
Finally, enter if the Output unit should use Automatic or Manual restart.
Press the button “1” for Yes and the button “2” for No. Press the button
“No” to go back and press the button “Yes” to approve.

Betriebsart Konfiguration
Der direkte Anschluss an ein DuplineSafe Sicherheits-Relaisausgangsmodul
bzw. Sicherheits-Eingangsmodul über ADAPT 7380 initiiert die Betriebsart
Konfiguration. Dies erfolgt automatisch, wenn das Gerät akti viert wird. Der
Text „Configu rator mode selected!“ (Be triebs art Konfiguration gewählt!)
erscheint kurz im Display gefolgt von „Config Unit begin?“ (Konfiguration
einleiten?). Nach Betätigung der „Read / On“- oder der „Yes“-Taste wird das
an geschlossene Gerät gelesen, im Display ist während des Lesevorgangs
„Reading Configuration“ (Konfiguration wird gelesen) zu sehen.
Ausgangseinheit:
Wenn ein Sicherheits-Relaisausgangsmodul angeschlossen ist, erscheint
folgende Displayanzeige:
Hier ist die Anzahl am Dupline-Kanalgenerator ge wählter Kanäle einzuge-
ben. „No“ um die Anzahl zu ändern, „Yes“ um zu be stätigen und fortzuset-
zen.
Als Nächstes müssen die mit Sicherheits-Eingangsmodulen bestückten
Kanäle gewählt werden. Folgendes erscheint im Display (Hinweis. In Grp.A
sind die Kanäle 1 und 2 nicht wählbar):
Die schwarzen Zahlen geben an, dass für diese Kanäle ein Sicherheitseingang
gewählt wurde. Die groß dar gestellten Zahlen zeigen, dass diese Kanäle
unbelegt sind. Die Kanäle 1, 2 werden mit den Tasten „1“ bzw. „2“
geändert. Die Kanäle 3, 4 werden mit den Tasten „3“ bzw. „4“ geändert,
die Kanäle 5, 6 mit den Tasten „5“ bzw. „6“ und die Kanäle 7, 8 mit den
Tasten „7“ bzw. „8“. Mit der Taste „No“ springen Sie einen Schritt zurück,
die Taste „Yes“ bestätigt die Einstellung. Sicherheitseingänge müssen für
alle belegten Dupline-Gruppen gewählt werden.
Als Nächstes ist der Synchroni sierungskanal einzugeben.
„No“ um den Sync.-Kanal zu ändern, „Yes“ um zu bestätigen. Um mit dem
Konfigurations- und Testgerät Buchstaben zu schreiben, wie bei einem
Handy vorgehen (d.h. die Taste „2“ drei Mal drücken, um ein „F“ zu sch-
reiben).
Als Nächstes ist einzugeben, ob das angeschlossene Sicherheits-Relaisaus-
gangsmodul den Sync.-Kanal generieren soll oder einfach einen von einem
an deren Sicherheits-Relaisausgangs modul generierten Sync.-Kanal über-
wachen.
Taste „1“ für Ja und „2“ für Nein. Mit der Taste „No“ springen Sie einen
Schritt zurück, die Taste „Yes“ be stätigt die Einstellung.
Als Letztes müssen Sie eingeben, ob die Ausgangseinheit automatisch oder
manuell neugestartet wird.

ist, erscheint folgende Displayanzeige:
Wie abgebildet markiert die Schreibmarke den ersten Buchstaben. Geben
Sie den jeweiligen Buchstaben ein. Um mit dem Konfigurations- und
Testgerät Buchstaben zu schreiben, wie bei einem Handy vorgehen (d.h.
die Taste „2“ drei Mal drücken, um ein „F“ zu schreiben). Mit „Yes“ springen
Sie zum nächsten Schritt, mit „No“ einen Schritt zurück.
Anschließend erscheint folgende Mitteilung im Display: „Send data to unit?
Yes / No“ (Daten an Einheit übertragen? Ja/Nein). Mit „Yes“ übertragen
Sie die eingegebene Konfiguration an das angeschlossene Sicherheits-
Eingangsmodul. Mit „No“ können Sie die Konfigurationsdaten weiter
bearbeiten.
Betriebsart Test
Beim Anschluss an ein DuplineSafe-Bus wird die Betriebsart Test initiiert.
Wenn das Gerät wie oben beschrieben aktiviert wird, erscheint der Text
„GTU mode selected!“ (GTU-Betriebsart ge wählt) kurz im Display gefolgt
von „Enter Sync. Channel: A1“ (Sync.-Kanal eingeben: A1).
Hier ist der Sync.-Kanal im ange schlos sen DuplineSafe-System einzu geben.
Mit „No“ können Sie den Sync. -Kanal ändern, mit „Yes“ den Default-Kanal
A1 bestätigen.
Nach Betätigung der „Yes“-Taste versucht die GTU-Einheit eine Verbindung
zum Sync.-Kanal herzustellen. Dabei zeigt das Display die Mitteilung:
„Please Wait.! Locking Sync.*“ (Bitte warten! Sync. rastet ein).
Wenn der Sync.-Kanal gefunden ist, erscheint die Displaymitteilung „Sync.
Channel Locked to: xx” (Sync.-Kanal ein gerastet auf: xx) (xx bezeichnet
den ein gestellten Kanal), wenn nicht zeigt das Display „Sync.-Kanal not
found!“ (Sync.-Kanal nicht gefunden), und Sie können den Sync.-Kanal neu
eingeben.
Ist der Sync.-Kanal OK, zeigt die erste Zeile im Display „UNITS ON
GROUP.A“ (EINHEITEN IN GRUPPE A) und die letz te Zeile den aktuellen
Zustand der Si cherheits-Eingangsmodule in Gruppe A:
Erläuterungen der Symbole in der letz ten Zeile:

Batteriespannung niedrig
Wenn beim Einschalten der Konfigurations- und Testeinheit die
Displaymitteilung „ * LOW BATTERY * “ (BATTERIESPANNUNG NIEDRIG)
erscheint, sollte die Batterie ausgetauscht werden. Die Einheit arbeitet zwar
weiter, aber wir empfehlen einen Batterie wechsel. Dazu entfernen Sie zuerst
die 4 Schrauben auf der Geräterückseite und anschließend die hintere
Ge häuse abdeckung. Bauen Sie die Leiter platte aus, und tauschen Sie die
9-V-Batterie aus. Anschließend das Gerät wieder zusammenbauen.

Modalità di funzionamento
In modalità unità di testo l’unità può utilizzarsi per monitorare le unità di
sicu rezza sul bus DuplineSafe.
Per attivare l’unità di test e configurazione sia nell’una che nell’altra
modalità premere il pulsante “Read / On”.
La determinazione della moda lità di funzionamento avvie ne
automaticamente, a se conda della connessione adoperata. Se viene
adope rata la connessione RJ, verrà attivata la moda lità di configurazione.
Se viene adoperato il connettore Jack, verrà attivata la modalità unità di
testo.

Una vez que haya acabado, aparecerá el siguiente mensaje: “¿Enviar los
datos a la unidad? Sí/No” (“Send data to unit? Yes/No”). Pulse el botón
“Sí” (“Yes”) para enviar la configuración introducida al módulo de salida
del relé de seguridad conectado. Pulse “No” para reintroducir los datos de
configuración.
Modo de la unidad de prueba
Cuando se conecte a un bus DuplineSafe, se activará el modo de la unidad
de prueba. Cuando active la unidad tal y como se ha descrito anteriormente
aparecerá brevemente en el display el mensaje “¡Ha seleccionado el modo
GTU!” (“GTU mode selected”) seguido por el mensaje “Introducir Sinc.
Canal: A1” (“Enter sync. channel: A1”).
Aquí deberá introducir el canal de sincronismo utilizado en el sistema
DuplineSafe conectado. Pulse el botón “No” para cambiar el canal Sinc., o
pulse el botón “Sí” (“Yes”) para usar el canal por defecto A1.
Si pulsa el botón “Sí” (“Yes”), la unidad GTU intentará sincronizar el canal
Sinc. Durante esta operación, el mensaje “¡Por favor, espere! Sincronizando
Sinc.*” (“Please wait! Locking sync.*”) se mostrará en el display.
Si se encuentra el canal sinc., el mensaje “Canal Sinc. se ha sincroniza-
do en: xx” (“Sync. channel locked to: xx”) (xx es el canal introducido)
aparecerá en el display, o en el caso contrario, se mostrará el mensaje “¡El
canal Sinc. no se ha encontrado!” (“Sync. channel not found!”), y se podrá
reintroducir el canal Sinc.
Si el canal Sinc. está bien, la línea superior del display mostrará “UNIDADES
DEL GRUPO.A” (“Units on group.A”) y la línea inferior mostrará el estado
actual de los módulos de entrada de seguridad del grupo A:
La explicación de los símbolos utilizados aparece en la línea inferior:

Poca batería
Si al activar la unidad de configuración y de prueba aparece “ *POCA
BATERÍA * ” (“Low battery*”) en el display, es hora de que cambie la batería.
La unidad seguirá funcio nando, pero se recomienda que cambie la batería.
La batería se cambia retirando los 4 tornillos que se encuentran en la parte
posterior de la unidad y quitando la cubierta trasera. Después de esto,
saque el PCB, cambie la batería de 9V y vuelva a montar la unidad.
Al realizar la conexión al módulo de salida del relé de seguridad de
DuplineSafe o al módulo de entrada de seguridad por medio de Adapt
7380, se activará el mo do de configuración. Esto se re aliza automática-
mente al ac tivar la unidad en el que el texto “¡Ha seleccionado el mo do del
configurador!” (“Configurator mode selected!”) se muestra brevemente en
el display, seguido por el texto “¿Iniciar la conf. de la uni dad?” (“Config

proce derá a leer la unidad conectada, “Leyendo la configura ción” (“Reading
Configuration”) aparecerá en el display mientras que se efectúa la lectura.

Si un módulo de salida de relé de seguridad se conecta, se mostrará la
siguiente pantalla:
Aquí se deberá introducir el número de los canales seleccionados en el
generador de canales Dupline. Pulse ”No” para cambiar, pulse ”Sí” (“Yes”)
para confirmar y continuar.
Lo siguiente que debe hacer es seleccionar los canales en los que se han
colocado los módulos de entrada de seguridad. La siguiente pantalla se
muestra en el display (Nota. En el grp. A no se podrán elegir los canales 1 y 2):
Los números negros indican que se ha se leccionado una entrada de
seguridad para estos canales. Los números ordina rios grandes muestran
que los ca nales no se usan. Para cambiar los canales 1,2 use los botones
“1” ó “2”. Para cam biar los canales 3,4 use los botones “3” ó ”4”, para los
canales 5,6 use los botones “5” ó “6”, para los canales 7,8 use los botones
“7” u “8”. Use el botón “No” para retroceder y el botón “Sí” (“Yes”) para
confirmar. La selección de las entradas de seguridad se debe realizar para
todos los grupos Dupline utilizados.
A continuación, deberá introducir el canal de sincronización.
Pulse “No” para cambiar el canal de sinc y “Sí” (“Yes”) para confirmar. Las

I numeri in nero mostrano che un ingresso di sicurezza è selezionato per
i canali in questione. I numeri ordinari di grande formato mostrano che i
canali non sono in uso. Per cambiare i canali 1, 2 servirsi del pulsante “1”
o “2”. Per cambiare i canali 3, 4 usare il pulsante “3” o ”4”, per i canali 5, 6
usare il pulsante “5” o “6”, per i canali 7, 8 usare il pulsante “7” or “8”. Usare
il pulsante “No” per tornare indietro, ed il pulsante “Si” per confermare. La
selezione degli ingressi di sicurezza deve essere effettuata per tutti i gruppi
Dupline usati.
Bisogna poi digitare il canale di sincronizzazione.
Premere “No” per cambiare il canale Sync e “Si” per confermare. Le let-
tere sui pulsanti dell’unità di test e configurazione funzionano alla stessa
maniera che in un cellulare (per es. premere tre volte il pulsante “2” per
digitare “F”).
Continuando, digitare se il modulo d’uscita per relè di sicurezza attualmente
connesso debba generare il canale Sync, o se debba semplicemente
ascoltare il canale Sync gene rato da un altro modulo d’uscita per relè di
sicurezza.
Premere il pulsante “1” per Si ed il pulsante “2” per No. Premere il pulsante
“No” per tornare indietro e premere il pulsante “Si” per confermare.
Infine digitare se l’unità d’uscita debba usare il riavvio automatico o
manuale.
Premere il pulsante “1” per Si ed il pulsante “2” per No. Premere il pulsante
“No” per tornare indietro e premere il pulsante “Si” per confermare.
A questo punto apparirà il seguente testo:
“Inviare dati all’unità? Si / No”. Premere il pulsante “Si” per inviare la
configurazione impostata al modulo d’uscita per relè di sicurezza connesso.
Premere “No” per reimpostare i dati di configurazione.
Unità d’ingresso:
Se un modulo d’ingresso di sicurezza è connesso mediante il dispositivo
ADAPT 7380, verrà visualizzata la seguente schermata:
Come risulta dall’immagine, il cursore si troverà nello spazio riservato alla
prima lettera. Digitare la lettera richiesta. Le lettere sui pulsanti dell’unità
di test e configurazione funzionano alla stessa maniera che in un cellulare
(per es. premere tre volte il pulsante “2” per digi tare “F”). Premere ”Si” per
proseguire e premere ”No” per tornare indietro.
Una volta eseguita tale operazione, apparirà il seguente testo: “Inviare dati
all’unità? Si / No”. Premere il pulsante “Si” per inviare la configurazione
impostata al modulo d’ingresso di sicurezza connesso. Premere “No” per
reimpostare i dati di configurazione.
Modalità unità di test
Quando il dispositivo viene connesso al bus DuplineSafe, verrà attivata la
modali tà unità di test. Attivando l’unità come descritto sopra, sullo schermo
compare brevemente il testo “Modalità GTU selezionata!”, seguito dal testo
“Digitare canale di sincronizzazione: A1”.
Qui bisogna digitare il canale di sincronizzazione usato nel connesso
si stema DuplineSafe. Premere il pulsante “No” per cambiare il canale di
sincronizzazione, o premere il pulsante “Si” per usare il canale predefinito
A1.
Quando il pulsante “Si” è premuto, l’unità GTU cercherà di collegare il cana-
le di sincronizzazione. Durante questa operazione il messaggio “Attendere!
Sincronizzazione in corso*” comparirà sullo schermo.
Se il canale di sincronizzazione è stato trovato, sullo schermo apparirà
il testo “Canale di sincronizzazione collegato: xx” (dove xx sta per
il canale digitato), altrimenti verrà visualizzato il messaggio “Canale di
sincronizzazione non tro vato!”, e sarà possibile digitare nuovamente il cana-
le di sincronizzazione.
Se il canale di sincronizzazione è OK, sulla linea superiore dello schermo
apparirà “UNITA’ DEL GRUPPO A”, e la linea inferiore mostrerà lo stato
attuale dei moduli d’ingresso di sicurezza del gruppo A:
Spiegazione dei simboli usati sulla linea inferiore dello schermo:
1. “S”: Il canale di sincronizzazione è posto sul canale Dupline.
2. “—“ Canali non utilizzati.
3. Numeri ordinari, per es. “34”: Un’uni tà d’ingresso è posta su questi
can ali e non è attivata.
4. Numeri oscurati, per es. “ ”: Un’unità d’ingresso è posta su questi
canali ed è attivata.
Premere il pulsante ”Si” per passare al gruppo successivo o premere ”No”
per tornare al precedente.
Batteria scarica
Se l’indicazione “ * BATTERIA SCARICA * “ appare sullo schermo
all’attivazione dell’unità di test e con figurazione, è giunto il momento di
sostituire la batteria. Anche se l’unità continuerà a funzionare, si
raccomanda di sostituire la batteria. Per sostituire la batteria svitare le 4 viti
sul retro dell’unità e togliere il coperchio posteriore. Estrarre quindi il PCB,
sostituire la batteria 9V e riassemblare l’unità.
