Step 2. Install two “AAA” batteries as shown. Be sure to match the +/- signs on the batteries with the +/- marks inside the case. Then release the key. If the code was accepted, the Activity Lamp will flash 5 times after the Mode key is released. If you entered an invalid code, the Activity Lamp will will not flash. After entering each code number check the unit’s operation by pressing the Power and/or Channel keys. If these keys operate your equipment, you have probably entered the correct code number for that device. If not, follow Steps 1 and 2 and enter another code, if available. After programming the remote control and confirming its operation, enter your codes in the spaces below for easy reference. VCR CODE SATELLITE CODE TV CODE DVD CODE CABLE BOX CODE AUX CODE OPERATING THE REMOTE CONTROL This remote control has six operating modes. To select a mode, press and release the mode key that matches the unit you want to control, TV, VCR, Cable Box, DVD Player, or Satellite Receiver. (The AUX mode can be programmed to operate any of these devices.) OPERATING TIPS AND TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS – To operate each device, you must first program the remote control, then press the proper mode key. The VCR, TV, and DVD modes are preprogrammed with Sanyo codes. – Some manufacturers use many different codes. If your brand of equipment has more than one code listed, try programming your remote with the different available codes until you locate the correct one for your device. – There may be brands and models that this remote control cannot operate. Some units may operate only partially.. – The Reset and Caption keys only operate Sanyo TVs. – Codes will remain in memory for five minutes as you replace batteries. – Remove batteries from the remote control if it will not be used for a month or more. Weak batteries may leak and damage the remote control. – This remote control uses an invisible (infrared) beam of light to operate the equipment. Objects between the equipment and the remote control can block the beam of light. Therefore, the remote control must be pointed directly at the equipment you want to operate. – This remote control cannot add keys or features to your equipment. – When switching from the VCR or DVD mode to the TV mode, the VCR/DVD specific control keys will continue to operate the last device (mode) selected. For example, when switching from DVD to TV mode, the VCR/DVD control keys will continue to function as DVD keys. – Replace the batteries if the remote control fails to operate any of your equipment. Be sure to install batteries correctly. – Many of the remote control keys are multi-functional. Refer to the chart on the inside of the carton for a brief description of the keys and their functions. Refer to your original operating manuals for specific feature operation. – The keys on this remote operate functions similar to those of your original remote controls. Si la marca de su equipo tiene mas de un código listado, trate de programar su control remoto con los diferentes códigos disponibles hasta que localize el código correcto para su aparato. – Pueden existir marcas y modelos donde este control remoto no funcione. Algunas unidades pueden operar solo parcialmente. – Las teclas de Caption y Reset solo operan en TV's Sanyo. – Los números de los códigos se mantendrán en memoria por cinco minutos cuando Ud. reemplace las baterías. – Retirez les piles si vous comptez ne pas utiliser la télécommande pendant un mois ou plus. Des piles faibles peuvent fuir et causer des dommages. – Este control remoto usa un haz infrarrojo para operar el equipo. Objetos entre el equipo y el control remoto pueden obstruir este haz. Por lo tanto, el control remoto debe de apuntarse directamente al equipo que se quiera operar. – Este control remoto no pueden agregar funciones adicionales a su equipo. – Cuando se cambia de modo de VCR o DVD a modo de TV, las teclas de control especificas de VCR/DVD continuarán operando el último aparato (modo) seleccionado. Por ejemplo, cuando se cambia de DVD a modo de TV, las teclas de control de VCR/DVD continuarán funcionando como teclas de DVD. – Cambie las baterias si el control remoto falla al controlar su equipo. Asegurese de instalar las baterias correctamente. – Muchas de las teclas del control remoto son multifuncionales.
