DIRECTIONS FOR USE OF TITE SEAL ROOF DECK SEAM TAPE
TITE SEAL ROOF DECK SEAM TAPE is a waterproofing membrane composed of a tough polymer film with an embedded
layer of white “traction fibers”, and is laminated to a specially formulated rubberized asphalt adhesive, meeting ASTM 1970.
INTENDED USE: Tite Seal Sheathing Tape is the ideal material for sealing the seams in sheathing material in both roof
decks and wall construction. It forms both a moisture and vapor barrier, and is self-sealing around. screws and nails.
SURFACE PREPARATION: The surface must be clean, dry, and free from oil, grease and debris. Dirty or weathered sur-
faces may be primed with a water, polymer, or solvent based primer to improve adhesion. Install when temperatures are
50ºF or higher.
INSTALLATION: Just remove release paper and press in place, making sure to center Seam tape over seam. Roll to insure
proper adhesion and to minimize any trapped air. A construction grade spray adhesive can also be used to improve adhe-
sion in less than ideal installation conditions. When overlapping from end to end, be sure to overlap a minimum of 4 inches.
WARNINGS:
• Use caution to avoid falls when using ladders or scaffolding.
• Do not leave the sheathing tape exposed to direct sunlight for more than 90 days prior to covering.
• Test adhesion with a small piece of seam tape. Do not install without proper adhesion.
• Although slip-resistant, Seam Tape may still be slippery under certain conditions, and proper caution
should be taken to insure safety.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL USO DE LA CINTA PARA SELLAR LAS JUNTURAS DE TECHOS
LA CINTA PARASELLAR LAS JUNTURAS DE TECHOS es una membrana impermeable, compuesta de una capa de
polímero de alta resistencia, con una capa de “fibras de tracción” incorporadas, y laminada con una especialmente formula-
da goma deaf to adhesiva, se conforma con ASTM 1970.
USO RECOMENDADO: La cinta para sellar las junturas de techos es el material ideal para sellar las juntas en los materi-
ales de revestimiento en los techos, así como en la construcción de paredes. Forma un sello contra la humedad y vapor, y
sirve como un autosellador alrededor de tornillos y clavos.
PREPARACIÓN DE LA SUPERFICIE: La superficie debe estar limpia y seca, libre de aceite, grasa o desechos.
Superficies que están sucias o curtidas por la intemperie pueden estar preparadas con un revestimiento elastomérico
(“primer”) basado en agua, polímero, o solvente para mejorar la adhesión. Se debe instalar a una temperatura de 50 grados
Farenheit o superior.
INSTALACIÓN: Sólo remueva el papel protector e instale la cinta de revestimiento en el lugar indicado, asegurando cen-
trarla encima de la juntura. Aplique presión pareja con un rodillo para asegurar un sellado adecuado. Se recomienda utilizar
un spray adhesivo para mejor adhesión en condiciones de instalación adversas. Todas las solapaduras deben ser un míni-
mo de 4 pulgadas (10,2 cm).
AVISOS:
• Tenga precaución para evitar accidentes cuando utilice escaleras o andamiaje.
• No exponga el producto a la luz solar directa por más de 90 días antes de su instalación.
• Pruebe el adhesivo con una tira pequeña de la Cinta de Revestimiento.
No instale el producto si no tiene adherencia ade cuada.
• Aunque la Cinta de Revestimiento es anti-deslizante, puede estar resbalosa bajo ciertas condiciones. Debe tomar las
precauciones adecuadas para su seguridad.
