• To disconnect, turn all controls to the “off” position, then remove plug from outlet.
• DO NOT use outdoors.
• NEVER operate the appliance with the air openings blocked. Keep
the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
• Use heated surfaces carefully. May cause serious burns. Do
not use over insensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor
circulation. The unattended use of heat by children or incapacitated
persons may be dangerous.

• DO NOT use this product before bed. The massage has a
stimulating effect and can delay sleep.

from any physical ailment that would limit the user’s capacity to
operate the controls or who has sensory deficiencies in the

Instructions for Use
The Shiatsu Massaging Cushion with Heat comes with a screw located
on the back of the unit to protect the massage mechanism during
shipment, which must be removed before the first use to allow the
shiatsu feature to function. Use the provided allen wrench. Warning
- Failure to remove screw may cause permanent damage to the
massage cushion.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized
plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install
the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
Untie cord strap, extend cord and insert plug into 120-volt household
electrical outlet to power unit.
Strapping System
The Shiatsu Massaging Cushion with Heat incorporates a unique
strapping system which allows you to fasten it to almost any chair. Just
slip the straps over the seat or chair and adjust fastening straps to
secure. Your massager won’t slip or slide away.
Maintenance
To Store
Place massager in its box or in a safe, dry, cool place. Avoid contact
with sharp edges or pointed objects which might cut or puncture the
fabric surface. To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around
the unit.
To Clean
Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a
soft, slightly damp sponge. Never allow water or any other liquids to
come into contact with the unit.
• Do not immerse in any liquid to clean.
• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene,
glass / furniture polish or paint thinner to clean.
• Do not attempt to repair the Shiatsu Massaging Cushion.
There are no user serviceable parts. For service, send the
unit to the HoMedics address listed in the warranty section.

Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu is a deep kneading circular massage.
This unit features a massage mechanism that
travels up and down the back of the cushion.
Shiatsu Massage Mode Button
Mode button causes the moving Shiatsu
massage mechanism to target specific areas
of the back:
Full Back (F)
The Shiatsu massage mechanism travels up
and down the back.
Upper Back (U)
The Shiatsu massage mechanism focuses
from the mid to upper back.
Lower Back (L)
The Shiatsu mechanism focuses from the mid
to lower back.
Zone Toggle
To select the “Full Back” program, press the
“Mode” button once. The LED indicating the
letter “F” will illuminate. To select “Upper
Back” press the “Mode” button a second time
and the “U” LED will illuminate, indicating the
Upper Back program. To select “Lower Back”
press the “Mode” button a third time and the
“L” LED will illuminate indicating the Lower
Back mode is active. To return to “Full Back”
press the “Mode” button a fourth time.

LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY
HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and
workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted
below. HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship
under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to
Retailers.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, contact a Consumer Relations Representative
by telephone at 1-800-466-3342 for assistance. Please make sure to have the model number of the
product available.
HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent
consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics
in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused
by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the
product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/
power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part
from failure to provide manufacturers recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft;
neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at
a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are
beyond the control of HoMedics.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the
product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate
in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/
or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this
warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY.
THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF
THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS
SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN
NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF
ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD
OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE
MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE PRODUCT
SUBSTITUTIONS IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.
This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or
resealed products, including but not limited to sale of such products on Internet auction sites and/
or sales of such products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall
immediately cease and terminate as to any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced,
altered, or modified, without the prior express and written consent of HoMedics.

Instrucciones de uso
El almohadón para Masajes Shiatsu con calor tiene un tornillo ubicado
al respaldo de la unidad que sirve para proteger el mecanismo de
masaje durante el transporte. Para retirarlo, use la llave Allen incluida.
Deseche el tornillo apropiadamente, y coloque el tapón negro incluido
en el orificio donde estaba el tornillo. Advertencia – El no retirar el
tornillo puede causar daño permanente al almohadón para masajes.
Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, este artefacto tiene un enchufe
polarizado (una paleta es más ancha que la otra). Este enchufe encaja de
una sola forma en un tomacorriente polarizado. Siel enchufe no encaja
completamente en el tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe. Si aún así no
encaja, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado para que instale
el tomacorriente adecuado. No modifique el enchufe de ninguna forma.
Desate la cinta del cable, extienda el cable e inserte el enchufe en un
tomacorriente doméstico de 120 voltios para alimentar la unidad.
Sistema de correas
El almohadón para masajes Shiatsu con calor viene con un exclusivo
sistema de correas que permite sujetarlo a casi cualquier asiento. Tan
sólo deslice las correas por encima de la silla o butaca y ajuste las
correas para asegurarlo. Su masajeador no se deslizará ni se resbalará.
Mantenimiento
Para guardar
Coloque el masajeador en su caja o en un lugar seguro, seco y fresco.
Evite el contacto con bordes filosos u objetos punzantes que puedan
cortar o perforar la superficie del material que lo recubre. Para evitar
roturas, NO envuelva el cable de corriente alrededor de la unidad.
Para limpiar
Desenchufe la unidad y deje que se enfríe antes de limpiarla. Limpie
únicamente con una esponja suave, apenas húmeda. Nunca permita
que el agua ni otro líquido entre en contacto con la unidad.
• NO sumerja la unidad en ningún líquido para limpiarla.
• NUNCA utilice limpiadores abrasivos, cepillos, gasolina, querosén,
limpiador de vidrios o lustramuebles para limpiar.
• NO intente reparar el almohadón para masajes Shiatsu. No hay piezas
que necesiten servicio por parte del usuario. Por servicio, envíe la
unidad a la dirección de HoMedics que se detalla en la sección de
garantía.

emitir energía de radiofrecuencia y, si no se instala y utiliza de acuerdo con las
instrucciones, puede causar interferencia dañina a las comunicaciones de radio. Sin
embargo, no existe garantía de que la interferencia no ocurrirá en una instalación
en particular. Si este equipo causa interferencia dañina a la recepción de radio o
televisión, lo cual puede determinarse encendiendo y apagando el equipo, se anima
al usuario a intentar corregir la interferencia a través de una o más de las siguientes
medidas:
• Cambie la orientación o ubicación de la antena de recepción.
• Aumente la separación entre el equipo y el receptor.
• Conecte el equipo a un tomacorriente en otro circuito, donde no esté conectado
el receptor.
• Consulte al distribuidor o a un técnico de radio/TV experimentado para
obtener ayuda.

madera puesto
que la cremallera
puede dañar la
madera. También se
recomienda poner
cuidado cuando se usa
con muebles
tapizados.
ATENCIÓN: Para
eliminar cualquier
o todo riesgo
de daño físico,
debe aplicarse
sólo una presión
limitada contra
la unidad. Usted
puede suavizar la
fuerza del masaje
colocando una
toalla entre la

puede encenderse sin

Masaje Shiatsu
Shiatsu es un masaje con movimiento circular
de amasar en profundidad. Esta unidad tiene
un mecanismo de masaje que se desplaza
hacia arriba y hacia abajo en el espaldar del
almohadón.
Botón para el modo de masaje shiatsu
Botón para el modo permiten que el mecanismo
de masaje shiatsu se oriente hacia áreas
específicas de la espalda:
Toda la espalda (F)
El mecanismo de masaje Shiatsu se desplaza
hacia arriba y hacia abajo en la espalda.
Sección superior de la espalda (U)
El mecanismo de masaje Shiatsu se dirige
desde el medio hasta la parte superior de la
espalda.
Sección inferior de la espalda (L)
El mecanismo de masaje Shiatsu se dirige
desde el medio hasta la parte inferior de la
espalda.
Para alternar el área
Para seleccionar el programa “Full Back”
(Espalda completa), presione el botón
“Mode” una vez. El LED que indica la letra
“F” se iluminará. Para seleccionar “Upper
Back” (Hombros), oprima el botón “Mode”
una segunda vez y el LED “U” se iluminará,
indicando el programa Upper Back.
Para seleccionar “Lower Back” (Área lumbar),
presione el botón “Mode” una tercera vez y el
LED “L” se iluminará indicando que el modo
Lower Back está activo. Para volver a “Full
Back”, presione el botón “Mode” una cuarta vez.
CON
Botón de encendido
Para encender las
funciones de masaje,
primero oprima el botón
POWER (Encendido).
El indicador L.E.D. se
iluminará confirmado su
selección. Para apagar
las funciones de masaje,
simplemente oprima el
botón nuevamente. El
indicador L.E.D. destella
mientras el mecanismo de
masaje shiatsu vuelve a la
posición más baja y luego
se apaga.
