Configuración
Funcionamiento del control remoto
Apunte el control remoto a la pantalla del dispositivo y pulse los botones.
Instalación de pilas en el control remoto
1 Retire la cubierta del compartimento de baterías de la parte posterior del
control remoto.
2 Inserte una batería R03 (tamaño AAA) de 1,5 Vcc con los polos 3 y #
alineados correctamente.
Tenga cuidado de lo siguiente
• Asegúrese de que los niños no introduzcan sus manos u objetos extraños en
el *conducto del altoparlante.
* Conducto del altoparlante: una cámara que proporciona abundancia de bajos
en la caja del altoparlante (carcasa).

Para conectar el cable a los altoparlantes centrales, pulse con la yema de los
dedos la pestaña de la parte trasera del altoparlante central, para abrir las
tomas de conexión. Inserte el cable y suelte la pestaña.

Conexión de la unidad
Conexión de clavijas de SALIDA

Le permite conectar un extremo del

mente a una hora específica. (Regulador de intensidad:

Abre o cierra la puerta del compartimento de CD.
TITLE: Si el título actual del DVD tiene un menú, el menú

Control de la TV.
También puede controlar el nivel de sonido, la fuente de
entrada y el estado de encendido de equipos de TV LG.
Mantenga pulsado POWER (TV) (ENCENDIDO (TV)) y
pulse repetidamente el botón PR/CH (+/-) hasta que la
TV se encienda o se apague.

Ajuste la configuración del idioma
OSD – Seleccione un idioma para el menú de configuración y los mensajes en
pantalla.
Disc Audio/ Disc Subtitle/ Disc Menu – Seleccione un idioma para el
Menu/Audio/Subtitle (menú/audio/
subtítulos).
[Original]: aplica el idioma original en el que se grabó el disco.
[Others]: para seleccionar otro idioma, pulse los botones numéricos y
después, ENTER para introducir el número correspondiente de 4
dígitos conforme a la lista de códigos de idioma del capítulo de
referencia. Consulte el código de idioma de la página 21.
[OFF] (para subtítulos de disco): apagar subtítulos.

Ajuste las configuraciones de la pantalla
TV Aspect – Seleccione el formato de pantalla a usar teniendo en cuenta la
forma de su televisor.
[4:3]: seleccione cuando esté conectada una TV con formato 4:3.
[16:9]: seleccione cuando esté conectada una TV panorámica 16:9.
Display Mode – Si selecciona 4:3, necesitará definir cómo desea visualizar, en
su pantalla de televisión, los programas y películas en formato
panorámico.
[Letterbox]: Esta opción emite una imagen en formato panorámico con
bandas negras en la parte superior e inferior de la pantalla.
[Panscan]: Esta opción rellena la pantalla del formato 4:3, cortando la
imagen lo necesario.
Progressive Scan
El video de barrido progresivo proporciona imágenes de alta calidad, con
menos parpadeo. Si está usando las tomas de video por componentes
(COMPONET VIDEO) para la conexión a una TV o un monitor compatibles con
señal de barrido progresivo, ajuste la opción [Progressive Scan] en [On]. Pulse
ENTER para confirmar su selección.
- Si no pulsa ENTER en el transcurso de 10 segundos, ésta cambiará a [OFF].
Ajuste la configuración de audio
DRC (Dynamic Range Control) – Posibilita un sonido limpio a volúmenes
bajos (sólo con Dolby Digital) Ajústelo en
[On] para lograr este efecto.
Vocal – Seleccione [On] para mezclar los canales de karaoke en estéreo
normal. Esta función sólo está disponible para DVDs de karaoke
multicanal.

Ajuste la configuración del bloqueo
Para acceder a las opciones de bloqueo, debe introducir una contraseña de 4
dígitos. Si aún no ha introducido una contraseña, se le solicitará que lo haga.
Introduzca una contraseña de 4 dígitos.Introdúzcala de nuevo para verificarla.
Si comete un error mientras introduce el número, pulse CLEAR para eliminar
números y corregirlo.
Si olvida su contraseña, puede reiniciarlo. Pulse SETUP e introduzca “210499” y, a
continuación, pulse ENTER. La contraseña ha sido ahora eliminada.
Area code – Seleccione un código para un área geográfica como el nivel de
categoría.
Esto determina qué estándares de área son usados para
calificar los DVDs controlados por el bloqueo parental. Consulte los
códigos de área en la página 21.
Rating –
Seleccione un nivel de clasificación. Cuanto más bajo sea el nivel, más
estricta será la categoría. Seleccione [UNLOCK] para desactivar la
clasificación.
Password – Ajusta o cambia la contraseña para configuraciones de bloqueo.
[New]: Introduzca una nueva contraseña de 4 dígitos empleando los botones
numéricos y, a continuación, pulse ENTER. Vuelva a introducir la
contraseña para confirmarla.
[Change]: Introduzca una vez más la nueva contraseña tras anotar la
contraseña actual.
Ajuste el resto de las configuraciones
DivX (R) Registration - Le proporcionamos el código de registro DivX® VOD
(Televisión a la carta) que le permitirá alquilar y comprar videos mediante el
servicio DivX® VOD.
Para obtener más información, visite www.divx.com/vod.
Pulse ENTER cuando el icono [Select] esté resaltado y podrá ver el código de
registro de la unidad.
SSR (Puntuación en tiempo real) - Esta función mostrará la puntuación en
vivo, sólo en modo karaoke, comprobando
los intervalos y el ritmo mientras interpreta
una canción.
Seleccionando la opción [On]: La barra de puntuación muestra niveles durante
la comprobación de intervalos y ritmo.
Seleccionando la opción [Off]: La barra no se muestra en pantalla.
-Esta función no está operativa en modo Semi karaoke.
Semi Karaoke - Cuando un capítulo /título /pista se termine, esta función muestra
la puntuación en la pantalla con un sonido de fanfarria.
• Semi Karaoke on (Semi karaoke activado):
Cuando termine de cantar en la pantalla aparecerá la puntuación.
• Semi Karaoke off (Semi karaoke desactivado):
La fanfarria y la puntuación no aparecerá en la pantalla.
Notas:
- DVD, para esta función, los discos disponibles son discos de DVD karaoke
con más de 2 pistas.
- Al ver películas, desactive la función de Semi Karaoke en el menú SETUP
(CONFIGURACIÓN) o hágalo sin conectar el micrófono si la fanfarria o la
puntuación aparece al cambiar un capítulo.
Ajuste del modo de sonido
PRO EQ
1 Pulse PRO EQ.
2 Cuando se muestre en pantalla “PRO EQ”.
3 Seleccione el efecto de sonido que desee entre GRAVE (100 Hz)
MEDIO (1 kHz) o AGUDO (10 kHz)
4 Ajuste el nivel de sonido girando cada mando de control de banda.
5 Para completar la configuración, pulse SET/CD II.
- Esta función no estará disponible cuando se conecte un micrófono.
VOCAL FADER (CONTROL VOCAL)
Puede disfrutar de la función de karaoke reduciendo la voz del cantante en las
diferentes fuentes. (MP3/ WMA/ CD/ Dolby Digital/ etc.) Pulse VOCAL FADER
(CONTROL VOCAL), y en la pantalla se mostrará “FADE ON” (ACTIVAR
CONTROL). Para cancelarlo, pulse VOCAL FADER (CONTROL VOCAL) de
nuevo.
- Esta función podrá usarse sólo cuando esté conectado un micrófono.
- La calidad deL VOCAL FADER (CONTROL VOCAL) puede ser diferente
dependiendo de las condiciones de grabación de los archivos de música.
- No estará disponible en el modo MONO.

• La unidad no puede leer un archivo MP3/WMA con una extensión distinta a
“.mp3” / “.wma”.
• El formato físico del CD-R debe ser ISO 9 660 LEVEL 1/ JOLIET
• Si usted graba archivos MP3/ WMA mediante un software que no puede
crear un sistema de archivos (como Direct-CD) la lectura de archivos
MP3/ WMA será imposible. Le recomendamos usar Easy-CD Creator, que
crea un sistema de archivos ISO 9 660.
• Los nombres de los archivos tienen un máximo de 8 letras y deben incor
porar una extensión .mp3 o .wma.
• Estos no deberán contener caracteres especiales, como / ? * : “ < > l, etc.
• El número total de archivos del disco deberá ser inferior a 999.
Este lector requiere que los discos y grabaciones cumplan ciertos estándares
técnicos para lograr una calidad óptima de lectura. Los DVDs pregrabados
poseen automáticamente estos estándares. Existen muchos tipos diferentes
de formatos de discos regrabables (incluyendo CD-R que contienen archivos
MP3 o WMA), y estos requieren ciertas condiciones pre-existentes (men-
cionadas) para asegurar una lectura compatible.

Grabación de una pista

Si se pulsa el botón de grabación con el CD parado, se grabarán todas las
pistas/archivos.
Grabación de una lista programada
Se grabará en el USB una vez haya creado su propio programa si desea grabar
la pista que desee (sólo para CD de audio).
Durante la grabación, compruebe lo siguiente
• Durante la grabación puede comprobar en la pantalla el porcentaje de
grabación de USB. (Sólo para AUDIO, MP3/ WMA CD)
• Durante la grabación de MP3/ WMA, no se emitirá sonido.
• Al detener la grabación durante la reproducción, se guardará el archivo
grabado hasta el momento. (sólo para Audio CD)
• No retire el dispositivo USB ni lo apague durante la grabación en USB. Si lo
hace, podría crearse un archivo incompleto y no se eliminaría en el PC.
• No puede grabarse a través de los micrófonos.
• Si no funciona la grabación USB, el mensaje “NO USB”, “ERROR”, “USB
FULL” (USB COMPLETO) o “NO REC” (SIN GRABACIÓN) se mostrará en la
pantalla del dispositivo.
• El número de archivo de la grabación se guarda automáticamente.
• Se guardará de la forma siguiente.

Puede cambiar el tono para adecuarlo a su rango de voz mediante la
función Key Control (control de tono).
Puede ajustar el tono mediante 13 registros (6 registros de tono alto, 6

- La configuración aparecerá en pantalla.
• Para bajar el tono paso a paso, pulse repetidamente KEY CON.(b)

Puede dar un efecto de eco al sonido procedente de los micrófonos.
Pulse ECHO VOL. (+/-) en el control remoto para aumentar o reducir el
volumen del eco. (MIN, 1~14, MAX)

1 Conecte su micrófono a las tomas MIC1/ MIC 2.
En la pantalla del dispositivo se mostrará “MIC IN”

Adjust the display settings
TV Aspect – Select which screen aspect to use based on the shape of your TV
screen.
[4:3]: Select when a standard 4:3 TV is connected.
[16:9]: Select when a 16:9 wide TV is connected.
Display Mode – If you selected 4:3, you’ll need to define how you would like
widescreen programs and films to be displayed on your TV
screen.
[Letterbox]: This displays a widescreen picture with black bands at the top
and bottom of the screen.
[Panscan]: This fills the entire 4:3 screen, cropping the picture as necessary
Progressive Scan
Progressive Scan Video provides the high quality pictures with less flickering. If
you are using the Component Video jacks for connection to a TV or monitor that
is compatible with a progressive scan signal, set [Progressive Scan] to [On].

Adjust the lock settings
To access the lock options, you must enter the 4-digit password. If you have not
yet entered a password you are prompted to do so. Enter a 4-digit password.
Enter it again to verify. If you make a mistake while entering number, press
CLEAR to delete numbers then correct it.
If you forget your password you can reset it. Press SETUP and Input ‘210499’
and press ENTER. The password has now been cleared.
Area code – Select a code for a geographic area as the playback rating level.
This determines which area’s standards are used to rate DVDs
controlled by the parental lock. See the Area Codes on Page 21.
Rating – Select a rating level. The lower the level, the stricter the rating. Select
[UNLOCK] to deactivate the rating.
Password – Sets or changes the password for lock settings.
[New]: Enter a new 4-digits password using the numerical buttons then press
ENTER. Enter the password again to confirm.
[Change]: Enter the new password twice after entering the current password.
Adjust the others settings
DivX (R) Registration - We provide you with the DivXR VOD (Video on
demand) registration code that allows you to rent and purchase videos using
the DivXR VOD service.

Press ENTER when [Select] icon is highlighted and you can view the
registration code of the unit.
SSR (Real Time Score) - This function will be show the Score to real time by
checking interval and beat during sing a song in the
karaoke mode only.
Selects the [On]: Score bar shows levels while checking the interval and beat.
Selects the [Off]: Score bar are not display on the screen.
-This function is not supported the Semi karaoke mode.
Semi Karaoke - When a chapter/ title/ track is fully finished, this function shows
the score in the screen with a fanfare sound.
• Semi Karaoke on:
When you finished singing a score will appear on the screen.
• Semi Karaoke off: Fanfare and score do not appear on the screen.
Notes:
- DVD, DVD Karaoke discs with more than 2 tracks are available discs for the
this function.
- When you watch movies, “off ” the Semi Karaoke at the SETUP menu or enjoy
it without connecting the MIC if the fanfare or score appears during changing a
chapter.
Setting the sound mode

- This function is available to use only when a microphone is connected.
- The quality of the VOCAL FADER may be different depending on the
recording conditions of music files.
- It is not available on the MONO mode.

Using your player as an alarm clock
1 Press and hold TIMER. Each functions flashes(Ex. TUNER, USB, ...)
2 Press SET when the function you want to be woken by is showing.
If you choose TUNER, “PLAY” and “REC” flashes in the display window
alternately.
3 Choose one of them by pressing the SET.
4 “ON TIME” will be displayed. This is where you set the time you want the
alarm to start. Use
./> to change the hours and minutes and SET
to save.
5 The “OFF TIME” will be displayed. This is where you set the time you
want the function to stop.
6 Use
./> to change the hours and minutes and press SET to save.
7 You will be shown the volume (VOL) you want to be woken by. Use
./> to change the volume and SET to save. Switch the system off.
The clock icon “”shows that the alarm is set.
8 When the system is turned off you can check the time the alarm and turn
the alarm on and off by pressing TIMER.
Fall asleep while listening to your player
Press SLEEP one or more times to select delay time between 10 and 180 minutes,
after the player will turn off. To check the remaining time, press SLEEP.
Enjoying a pre-programmed sound field
The system has a number of pre-set surround sound fields. You can select a
desired sound mode by using EQ/ LG EQ.
The displayed items for the Equalizer may be different depending on sound

Screen Saver
The screen saver appears when you leave the unit in Stop mode for about five
minutes.
System Select - Optional
You must select the appropriate system mode for your TV system. In DVD/CD
function, remove any disc that might be in the unit, press and hold
PAUSE/STEP (X) for more than five seconds to be able to select a system
(PAL, NTSC, AUTO).
Mixed disc or USB Flash Drive – DivX, MP3/WMA and JPEG
When playing a disc or USB Flash Drive contained with DivX, MP3/WMA and

Creating your own program
You can play the contents of a disc in the order you want by arranging the order
of the songs on the disc. The program is cleared when the disc is removed.
1 Select a desired music then press PROG./MEMO. or select “ ” and then
press ENTER to add the music to the program list.
2 To add all music in the disc, select “ ” and then press ENTER.
3 Select a music from the program list then press ENTER to start programmed
playback.
4 To clear a music from the program list, select the music you want to clear
then press CLEAR or select “

Displaying file information (ID3 TAG)
While playing a MP3 file containing file information, you can display the
information or time by pressing DISPLAY repeatedly.
MP3 / WMA disc compatibility with this player is limited as follows
• Sampling frequency: within 32 - 48 kHz (MP3/ WMA)
• Bit rate: within 32 - 320kbps (MP3), 40 - 192kbps (WMA)
• The unit cannot read an MP3/ WMA file that has a file extension other than
“.mp3” / “.wma”.
• CD-R physical format should be ISO 9660 LEVEL 1/ JOLIET
• If you record MP3 / WMA files using software that cannot create a file system
(eg. Direct-CD) it is impossible to playback MP3 / WMA files. We recommend
that you use Easy-CD Creator, which creates an ISO 9660 file system.
• File names should have a maximum of 8 letters and must incorporate an
.mp3 or .wma extension.
• They should not contain special letters such as / ? * : “ < > l etc.
• The total number of files on the disc should be less than 999.
This unit requires discs and recordings to meet certain technical standards in
order to achieve optimal playback quality. Pre-recorded DVDs are
automatically set to these standards. There are many different types of
recordable disc formats (including CD-R containing MP3 or WMA files) and
these require certain pre-existing conditions (see above) to ensure compatible
playback.
Customers should note that permission is required in order to download
MP3 / WMA files and music from the Internet. Our company has no right
to grant such permission. Permission should always be sought from the
copyright owner.

• Devices which require additional program installation when you have

Recording Music file in disc source to USB
One track recording
If the USB recording is played during playback of the CD, the track/ file would
be recording into the USB.
All tracks recording
If the recording button is pressed at the CD stop, all tracks/ files would be
recording.
Program list recording
USB records after creating your own program if you want to record the track you
want (Audio CD only).
When you are recording, look out for the following
• You can check the recording percentage rate for the USB record on the
screen during the recording. (AUDIO, MP3/ WMA CD only)
• During recording MP3/ WMA, there is no sound.
• When you stop recording during playback, the file that has been recorded at
that time will be stored.(Audio CD only)
• Do not remove the USB device or turn off during USB recording. If not, an
incomplete file may be made and not deleted on PC.
• Recording through microphones is not available.
• If USB recording does not work, the message like “NO USB”, “ERROR”,
“USB FULL” or “NO REC” is displayed on the display window.
• The file number of the recording is saved automatically.

Karaoke Basic Playback - More you can do
You can change the key to suit your vocal range with Key Control
You can adjust the key to 13 steps (6 steps higher, 6 steps lower and the
original key).
- The setting appears on the screen.
• To flatten the key one by one, press the KEY CON.(b) repeatedly during
playback.
• To sharp the key one by one, press the KEY CON.(#) repeatedly during
playback.
- Press TONE CONTROL( ) on remote control repeatedly to change MAN’s
or WOMEN’s tone.
To change tempo
You can use this function when you want to play fast or slow.
1 Press TEMPO + repeatedly during singing to play faster.
2 Press TEMPO - repeatedly during singing to play slower.
Shadow Function
If KARAOKE CD caption and the song’s subtitle are mixed up, the song’s
subtitle may be invisible. In this case, to highlight the song’s subtitle, press
SHADOW.
- It will be highlighted by background shadow image.
To adjust ECHO Volume
You can give an echo effect to the sound from the microphones.
Press the ECHO VOL. + on the remote control to increase the echo volume or
ECHO VOL. - decrease it. (MIN, 1~14, MAX steps)
Using Microphone
1 Connect your microphone to the MIC1/ MIC 2 Jacks.
“MIC IN” will be shown in the display window.
2 Play the music you want.
3 Sing along with the accompaniment.
Adjust the microphone volume by pressing MIC VOL.(+/-) button.
Notes:
• When not using the microphone, set the MIC VOL.(+/-) button to minimum or
turn off the MICs and remove the microphone from the MIC Jacks.
• If the microphone is set too near the speaker, a howling sound may be
produced. In this case, move the microphone away from the speaker or
decrease the sound level by using the MIC VOL.(+/-) button.
• If sound through the microphone is extremely loud, it may be distorted. In this
case, press the MIC VOL.(+/-) button toward minimum.
Reserving the Song - More you can do

Each time you press CLEAR, the reserved song will be cancelled one by one.

“ ” may appear on your TV display during operation and indicates that the
function explained in this owner’s manual is not available on that specific DVD
video disc.
Regional code
This unit has a regional code printed on the rear of the unit. This unit can play
only DVD discs labeled same as the rear of the unit or “ALL”.
• Most DVD discs have a globe with one or more numbers in it clearly visible on
the cover. This number must match your unit’s regional code or the disc can-
not play.
• If you try to play a DVD with a different regional code from your player, the
message “Check Regional Code” appears on the TV screen.

In addition, this unit can play a DVD±R/RW and CD-R or CD-RW that
contains audio titles, MP3, WMA, JPEG files.
Depending on the conditions of the recording equipment or the CD-R/RW
(or DVD±R/RW) disc itself, some CD-R/RW (or DVD±R/RW) discs may
not be played on the unit due to the recording quality or physical condition
of the disc, or the characteristics of the recording device and authoring
software. The disc will not play if it has not been correctly finalized. Player
does not support these kinds of discs.
