General Power Tool Safety Warnings
WARNING: Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specications
provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in
electric shock, re and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or
battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
Work Area Safety
• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks, which may ignite the dust or
fumes.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
Electrical Safety
• Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use
any adaptor plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodied plugs and matching
outlets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
• Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges
and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or
grounded.

SAFETY INFORMATION
• If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a ground fault circuit
interrupter (GFCI) protected supply. Use of an GFCI reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal Safety
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power
tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the inuence of drugs,
alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in
serious personal injury.
• Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment
such as a dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat or hearing protection used for
appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
• Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the o-position before
connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
Carrying power tools with your nger on the switch or energizing power tools that have the
switch on invites accidents.
• Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a
key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better
control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair and clothing away
from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
• If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities,
ensure that these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce
dust-related hazards.
• Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent
and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury within a
fraction of a second.
Power tool use and care
• Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct
power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and o. Any power tool that
cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack, if
detachable, from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories,
or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the
power tool accidentally.
• Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar
with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
• Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving
parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may aect the power tool’s
operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
• Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these
instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed.

SAFETY INFORMATION
• Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery
handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in
unexpected situations.
Battery Tool Use and Care
• Recharge only with the charger specied by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable
for one type of battery pack may create a risk of re when used with another battery pack.
• Use power tools only with specically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery
packs may create a risk of injury and re.

• When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection
from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or
a re.
• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If
contact accidentally occurs, ush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
• Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged or modied. Damaged or modied
batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in re, explosion or risk of injury.
• Do not expose a battery pack or tool to re or excessive temperature. Exposure to re or
temperature above 265 °F (130 °C) may cause explosion.
• Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or tool outside the
temperature range specied in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures
outside the specied range may damage the battery and increase the risk of re.
Service
• Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
• Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery packs should only be performed
by the manufacturer or authorized service providers.
Nailer Safety Warnings
• Always assume that the tool contains fasteners. Careless handling of the nailer can result
in unexpected ring of fasteners and personal injury.
• Do not point the tool towards yourself or anyone nearby. Unexpected triggering will
discharge the fastener causing an injury.
• Do not actuate the tool unless the tool is placed rmly against the workpiece. If the tool
is not in contact with the workpiece, the fastener may be deected away from your target.
• Disconnect the tool from the power source when the fastener jams in the tool. While
removing a jammed fastener, the nailer may be accidentally activated if it is plugged in.
• Use caution while removing a jammed fastener. The mechanism may be under
compression and the fastener may be forcefully discharged while attempting to free a
jammed condition.

SAFETY INFORMATION
• Do not use this nailer for fastening electrical cables. It is not designed for electric cable
installation and may damage the insulation of electric cables thereby causing electric shock
or re hazards.
• Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an operation where
the fastener may contact hidden wiring. Fasteners contacting a “live” wire may make
exposed metal parts of the power tool “live” and could give the operator an electric shock.
PREPARATION
Know Your Brad Nailer
• Your nailer has been designed for driving nails into wooden workpieces.
• Before attempting to use the brad nailer, familiarize yourself with all of its operating features
and safety requirements.
WARNING:
• Do not allow familiarity with the nailer to cause carelessness. Remember that one careless
moment is enough to cause severe injury. Before attempting to use any tool, be sure to
become familiar with all of the operating features and safety instructions.
• Do not attempt to modify this tool or create accessories not recommended for use with this
tool. Any such alteration or modication is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition
leading to possible serious personal injury.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. To Attach Battery Pack
a. Align the raised portion on the battery pack with
the grooves on the bottom of the tool, and then
slide the battery pack onto the tool as shown.
b. Make sure that the latch on the battery pack
snaps into place and the battery pack is
secured to the tool before beginning operation.
NOTICE: When placing the battery pack on the tool,
be sure that the raised rib on battery pack aligns
with the groove on the tool and the latches snap into
place properly. Improper assembly of the battery
pack can cause damage to internal components.
To Detach Battery Pack
a. Press the battery-release buttons to release the battery pack.
b. Pull the battery pack backward to remove it from the tool.
WARNING: Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore, always remove the
battery pack when the tool is not in use or when carrying the tool at your side.
2. To Attach Belt Clip
The belt clip (O) can be installed on the left or right
side of the nailer, depending on operator preference.
a. Remove the battery pack from the tool.
b. Align the belt clip and the screw hole on the
right or left side of the nailer.
c. Using a phillips head screwdriver (not included)
tighten the screw securely.
3. No-Mar Pad
The no-mar pad (M) attached to the nose of the tool
helps prevent marring and denting the work surface
when working with softer woods.
WARNING: Remove the battery pack from the
tool before removing or replacing the no-mar pad. Fail-
ure to do so could result in serious personal injury.
a. Remove the battery pack from the tool.
b. Remove the used no-mar pad by pulling it down
and away from the nose.
c. To replace the no-mar pad, t it into place over
the nose and push it up to reseat.
On-board storage (N) for the no-mar pad is located on the magazine of the tool. An extra no-
mar pad is provided in the on-board storage area.

4. To Load Or Remove Brad Nails
WARNING:
• Keep the tool pointed away from yourself and
others when loading nails. Failure to do so could
result in possible serious personal injury.
• Use only the nails recommended for use with this
tool. The use of any other nails can result in tool
malfunction, leading to serious injuries.
• Never load nails with the workpiece contact or
trigger activated. Doing so could result in possible
serious personal injury.
To Load Brad Nails
a. Remove the battery pack from the tool.
b. With the nose of the tool pointed away from you, squeeze the magazine release button (D)
located at the rear of the magazine (E) and slide the magazine open.
c. Place the brad nails (5/8” to 2-1/8” [16mm – 54mm] long) in the channel with the nail tips
pointing down and resting on the bottom of the channel.
d. Push the magazine (E) closed until it securely snaps into place.
e. Make sure that the magazine (E) is securely locked in place.
f. Reattach the battery pack, and reactivate the nailer by pressing the power switch (A).
NOTE: You can observe the number of remaining nails through the nail indicator windows (F),
and load more nails as needed.
To Remove Brad Nails
a. Remove the battery pack from the tool.
b. Squeeze the magazine release button (D) located at the rear of the magazine (E) and slide
the magazine open.
c. Remove the nails.
d. Close the magazine and make sure that it is securely locked in place.
5. Depth of Drive Adjustment
It is advisable to test the depth of drive on a scrap
workpiece to determine the required depth for the
application.
Harder materials and longer nails will require more
force to drive the nail.
WARNING: Always point the nailer away from
yourself and others when making adjustments.
Failure to do so may cause serious injury.
a. Remove the battery pack from the tool.
b. Rotate the depth adjustment dial (L) to adjust
the depth as indicated by the depth arrow.
c. Reattach the battery pack and restart the tool by pressing the power switch (A).
d. Drive a test nail after each adjustment until the desired depth is set.

6. Driving Brad Nails
WARNING: Never wedge or hold back the
workpiece contact mechanism during operation of
the tool. Doing so could result in possible serious
injury.
NOTICE: If no other action is taken after the
power switch (A) is pressed, the nailer will turn o
automatically after 30 minutes.
Single Sequential Actuation Mode:
Single sequential actuation provides the most
accurate nail placement.
a. Make sure the workpiece is secured before
performing any operation.
b. Attach the battery pack and start the tool by pressing the power switch (A).
c. Briey press the mode select button (B) to select the single sequential actuation mode “ ”.
d. Grip the tool rmly to maintain control. Position the nose of the tool onto the work surface.
e. Push the tool against the work surface to depress the workpiece contact (G). Then
squeeze the trigger switch (J) to drive a nail.
f. Release the trigger switch (J) and lift the nose from the workpiece to complete the nailing action.
g. Repeat the steps ‘d’ through ‘f’ to drive more nails.
NOTE:
• Hold the trigger squeezed until drive cycle is complete.
• If there is no more action for more than 10s after workpiece contact (G) pressed without
releasing, ring will be locked unless users release both workpiece contact (G) & trigger
switch (J) and try again.
Contact Actuation Mode:
Contact actuation allows very fast repetitive nail placement.
a. Make sure the workpiece is secured before performing any operation.
b. Attach the battery pack and start the tool by pressing the power switch (A).
c. Briey press the mode select button (B) to select the contact actuation mode “ ”.
d. Grip the tool rmly to maintain control.
e. Squeeze and hold the trigger switch (J).
f. Push the tool against the work surface to depress the workpiece contact (G) and drive a nail.
g. Keep the trigger squeezed, relocate the tool to the next nailing spot and push the tool
against workpiece to drive another nail.
h. Release the trigger (J) when done.
NOTE:
• Contact actuation mode still retains the logic of the single sequential actuation mode. This
means the tool can also be operated by depressing the workpiece contact (G) against the
surface and squeezing the trigger switch (J).
• If there is no more action for more than 10s after workpiece contact (G) or trigger switch (J)
pressed without releasing, ring will be locked unless users release both workpiece contact
(G) & trigger switch (J) and try again.

7. Dry-Fire Lockout
When the magazine has 0-6 nails remaining, the dry-re lockout feature will not allow
continued operation. To resume operation, reload the tool with nails.
8. LED Work Light
The LED work light (C), shown in FIG. 8, will
illuminate when the trigger switch (J) or the
workpiece contact (G) is depressed. This provides
additional lights on the surface of the workpiece for
operation in lower-light areas.
The LED work lights will turn o within
approximately 10 seconds after the trigger switch is
released.
9. Removing a Jammed Brad Nail
a. Remove the battery pack from the tool.
b. Press the magazine release button (D) and
remove the nails from the magazine.
c. Lift the jam release latch (I) and open the jam
release (H).
d. Remove the jammed nail using a at head
screwdriver or pliers if necessary.
NOTICE: Do not mar/scratch the nail channel
or driver mechanism. The screwdriver should
always slip over the nail when prying.
e. Close the jam release and the latch.
f. Reload the nails and close the magazine.
g. Reattach the battery pack and restart the tool
by pressing the power switch (A).
NOTE: Driving the nails too deeply into the material, excess debris, or jammed nails may lead
to a driver blade being stuck at its bottom position.
The driver blade can usually be returned to its operating position by depressing the work
contact element against a scrap piece of wood and squeezing the trigger.
If the tool cycles without driving a nail, the nail channel may be dirty. See ‘Cleaning the Nail
Channel’ in the ‘Care and Maintenance’ section of this manual.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
All maintenance should only be carried out by a qualied service technician.
10. Cleaning
Before cleaning or performing any maintenance, remove the battery pack from the tool.
For safe and proper operation, always keep the tool and its ventilation slots clean.
Always use only a soft, dry cloth to clean your nailer; never use detergent or alcohol.
11. Cleaning The Nail Channel
WARNING: Remove the battery pack and keep
the tool pointed away from you while cleaning the
nail channel.
NOTICE: Clean the nail channel regularly. Failure to
properly and regularly clean the channel will cause
premature failure or void the warranty.
a. Remove the battery pack from the tool.
b. Press the magazine release button (D) to open
the magazine (E), and then remove the nails
from the magazine.
c. Lift the jam release latch (I) and open the jam
release (H).
d. Use a small amount of pneumatic tool oil on a clean cloth or cotton swab to wipe down the
nail channel.
e. Reload the nails and close the magazine.

Diagnostic Lights
The LED lights under the power switch and under the mode button also provide feedback to
indicate problems with the tool and/or battery pack. Refer to the table below to interpret the
message behind the ashing LED lights and possible solutions.

WARRANTY
For 5 years from the date of purchase, the power tool is warranted and for 3 years from date of
purchase the battery & charger are warranted for the original purchaser to be free from defects
in material and workmanship. This guarantee does not cover damage due to abuse, normal
wear, improper maintenance, neglect, unauthorized repair/alteration, or expendable parts and
accessories expected to become unusable after a reasonable period of use.
If you think your product meets the above guarantee criteria, but the nailer doesn’t shoot nails
any more or the workpiece contact/magazine doesn’t work after being used for a period of
time, please return it to the place of purchase with valid proof of purchase and the defective
product will be repaired or replaced at no charge. This guarantee gives you specic legal
rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

eléctricas, incendios o lesiones graves.
Guarde todas las advertencias e instrucciones para referencia futura
El término “herramienta eléctrica” que aparece en las advertencias hace referencia a la
herramienta eléctrica que se conecta a la línea principal (con cable) o a la herramienta
eléctrica que funciona a batería (inalámbrica).
Seguridad en el área de trabajo
• Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien iluminada. Las áreas oscuras o desordenadas
propician los accidentes.
• No opere herramientas eléctricas en ambientes en los que exista riesgo de explosión,
como en presencia de líquidos inamables, gases o polvo. Las herramientas eléctricas
producen chispas que podrían encender el polvo o humo.
• Mantenga a los niños y a otras personas alejados mientras utiliza una herramienta
eléctrica. Las distracciones pueden hacerle perder el control.
Seguridad eléctrica
• Los enchufes de las herramientas eléctricas deben encajar en el tomacorriente. No
modique el enchufe de ninguna manera. No utilice ningún enchufe adaptador con
herramientas eléctricas con puesta a tierra. Los enchufes sin modicaciones y que
encajan adecuadamente en los tomacorrientes reducen el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.
• Evite el contacto del cuerpo con supercies conectadas a tierra, como tuberías,
radiadores, extractores o refrigeradores. Si su cuerpo tiene contacto a tierra, corre mayor
riesgo de sufrir una descarga eléctrica.

• No exponga las herramientas eléctricas a la lluvia o a condiciones de humedad. Si
ingresa agua en una herramienta eléctrica, el riesgo de descarga eléctrica aumentará.
• No maltrate el cable. Nunca use el cable para transportar, jalar ni desenchufar la
herramienta eléctrica. Mantenga el cable alejado del calor, el aceite, los bordes losos
o las piezas en movimiento. Los cables dañados o enredados aumentan el riesgo de
descarga eléctrica.
• Si opera una herramienta eléctrica en exteriores, use la extensión eléctrica apropiada
para el uso en exteriores. Usar un cable apto para exteriores reduce el riesgo de sufrir una
descarga eléctrica.
• Si debe utilizar una herramienta eléctrica en un área húmeda, use un suministro
protegido con un interruptor de circuito de falla a tierra GFCI (por sus siglas en inglés).
El uso de un GFCI disminuye el riesgo de descargas eléctricas.
Seguridad personal
• Manténgase alerta, preste atención a lo que hace y utilice el sentido común cuando
utilice una herramienta eléctrica. No utilice una herramienta eléctrica si está cansado
o bajo los efectos de drogas, alcohol o medicamentos. Un momento de desatención
mientras opera herramientas eléctricas puede provocar lesiones personales graves.
• Use un equipo de protección personal. Use siempre lentes de protección. Los equipos
de protección, como mascarillas antipolvo, zapatos de seguridad antideslizantes, cascos
protectores o auriculares de seguridad, utilizados para las condiciones adecuadas,
disminuyen el riesgo de lesiones personales.
• Evite un arranque accidental. Asegúrese de que el interruptor esté en la posición de
apagado antes de conectar la herramienta a la fuente de alimentación o al paquete de
baterías, o antes de levantarla o transportarla. Transportar herramientas eléctricas con el

Uso y cuidado de las herramientas eléctricas
• No fuerce la herramienta eléctrica. Use la herramienta eléctrica adecuada para la tarea.
La herramienta eléctrica adecuada realizará un trabajo de mejor calidad y más seguro, al
ritmo para el cual se diseñó.
• No utilice la herramienta eléctrica si el interruptor no la enciende o apaga. Cualquier
herramienta eléctrica que no pueda controlarse con el interruptor es peligrosa y debe
repararse.

• Desconecte el enchufe de la fuente de alimentación o retire el paquete de baterías, si
fuera posible, de la herramienta eléctrica antes de realizar cualquier ajuste, cambiar
accesorios o almacenar herramientas eléctricas. Este tipo de medidas de seguridad
preventivas reduce el riesgo de arranques accidentales de la herramienta eléctrica.
• Almacene las herramientas eléctricas que no estén en uso fuera del alcance de
los niños y no permita que personas no familiarizadas con la herramienta o estas
instrucciones la operen. Las herramientas eléctricas son peligrosas en manos de usuarios
sin capacitación.
• Realice mantenimiento a las herramientas eléctricas y a los accesorios. Revise si
hay piezas móviles desalineadas o trabadas, si hay piezas rotas y cualquier otra
condición que pueda afectar el funcionamiento de la herramienta eléctrica. Si se daña
la herramienta eléctrica, hágala reparar antes de usarla. Muchos accidentes son producto
del mantenimiento deciente de las herramientas eléctricas.
• Mantenga las herramientas de corte aladas y limpias. Las herramientas de corte que
se mantienen adecuadamente, con sus bordes de corte alados, son menos propensas a
trabarse y son más fáciles de controlar.
• Use la herramienta eléctrica, los accesorios, las brocas, etc. de acuerdo con estas
instrucciones y considere las condiciones de operación y el trabajo que desea realizar.
Si la herramienta eléctrica se usa en operaciones para las cuales no se diseñó, se podría
ocasionar una situación de peligro.
• Mantenga las manijas y las supercies de agarre secas, limpias y sin aceite ni grasa.
Las manijas y las supercies de agarre resbaladizos no permiten manipular ni controlar la
herramienta de forma segura en situaciones inesperadas.
Uso y cuidado de herramientas a batería
• Recárguela solo con el cargador especicado por el fabricante. Un cargador adecuado
para un tipo de paquete de baterías puede ocasionar un riesgo de incendio si se usa con
otro paquete de baterías diferente.
• Use herramientas eléctricas solo con paquetes de baterías designados
especícamente. El uso de cualquier otro paquete de baterías puede crear un riesgo de
lesión e incendio.

• Cuando no se use el paquete de baterías, aléjelo de objetos metálicos, como
sujetapapeles, monedas, llaves, clavos, tornillos u otros objetos metálicos pequeños
que pudieran crear una conexión entre los terminales. El cortocircuito de los terminales
de la batería puede causar quemaduras o un incendio.
• En condiciones de maltrato, es posible que salga líquido de la batería. Evite el
contacto. Si se produce un contacto accidental, enjuague con agua. Si el líquido entra
en contacto con los ojos, solicite atención médica. El líquido que sale de la batería
puede provocar irritación o quemaduras.
• No use paquetes de baterías ni herramientas si están dañadas o modicadas. Las
baterías dañadas o modicadas pueden realizar acciones impredecibles, que podrían
provocar incendios, explosiones o riesgo de lesiones.
• No exponga el paquete de baterías ni la herramienta al fuego o a una temperatura
excesiva. La exposición al fuego o a temperaturas por encima de los 130 °C (265 °F)
podría causar una explosión.

• Siga todas las instrucciones de carga y no cargue el paquete de baterías ni la
herramienta fuera del rango de temperatura especicado en las instrucciones. La

aumentar el riesgo de incendio.
Reparación
• Permita que solo una persona capacitada repare la herramienta eléctrica, mediante el
uso solo de piezas de repuesto idénticas. De esta forma, se asegurará de mantener la
seguridad de la herramienta eléctrica.
• Nunca realice mantenimiento a los paquetes de baterías. El mantenimiento de los
paquetes de baterías debe realizarse solo por el fabricante o por proveedores de servicio
autorizados.
Advertencias de seguridad de la clavadora
• Siempre dé por sentado que la herramienta contiene sujetadores. El manejo descuidado
de la clavadora puede provocar el disparo inesperado de los sujetadores y lesiones
personales.
• No apunte la herramienta hacia usted ni hacia nadie cercano. Un disparo inesperado
descargará el sujetador y provocará una lesión.
• No accione la herramienta a menos que se encuentre rmemente colocada en la pieza
de trabajo. Si la herramienta no está en contacto con la pieza de trabajo, el sujetador
puede desviarse de su objetivo.
• Desconecte la herramienta de la fuente de alimentación cuando el sujetador se
atasque en la herramienta. Al retirar un sujetador atascado, la clavadora puede activarse
accidentalmente si está enchufada.
• Tenga cuidado al quitar un sujetador atascado. El mecanismo puede estar bajo
compresión y el sujetador puede descargarse con fuerza mientras se intenta liberar una
condición de atasco.
• No utilice esta clavadora para sujetar cables eléctricos. No está diseñado para la
instalación de cables eléctricos y puede dañar el aislamiento de los cables eléctricos
provocando descargas eléctricas o peligro de incendio.
• Cuando realice una operación en la que el sujetador pudiera entrar en contacto con
cableados ocultos, sostenga las herramientas eléctricas por las supercies de agarre
aisladas. Es posible que los sujetadores que entren en contacto con un cable “energizado”
también “energicen” piezas de metal de la herramienta eléctrica y podrían provocar una
descarga eléctrica al operador.

PREPARACIÓN
Conozca su clavadora de puntilllas
• Su clavadora ha sido diseñada para clavar clavos en piezas de madera.
• Antes de intentar usar la clavadora de puntillas, familiarícese con todas las características
de funcionamiento y requisitos de seguridad.
ADVERTENCIA:
• No permita que la familiaridad con la clavadora lo vuelva descuidado. Recuerde que
un momento de descuido es suciente para causar lesiones graves. Antes de intentar
utilizar cualquier herramienta, asegúrese de familiarizarse con todas las características de
funcionamiento e instrucciones de seguridad.
• No intente modicar esta herramienta ni crear accesorios que no sean los recomendados
para la misma. Cualquier alteración o modicación se considera un uso inadecuado y
podría causar una condición peligrosa que produzca lesiones personales graves.

1. Para jar el paquete de baterías
a. Alinee la parte elevada del paquete de baterías
con las ranuras de la parte inferior de la
herramienta y luego deslice el paquete de
baterías hacia dentro de la herramienta, como
se muestra.
b. Asegúrese de que el pestillo del paquete de
baterías encaje en su lugar y que el paquete
de baterías esté jo en la herramienta antes de
comenzar la operación.
AVISO: cuando coloque el paquete de baterías
en la herramienta, asegúrese de que la varilla
elevada del paquete de baterías se alinee con la
ranura de la herramienta y que los pestillos encajen
en su lugar de manera correcta. El ensamblaje
inadecuado del paquete de baterías puede provocar daños a los componentes internos.
Para retirar el paquete de baterías
a. Presione los botones de liberación de la batería para liberar el paquete de baterías.
b. Jale el paquete de baterías hacia atrás para retirarlo de la herramienta.
ADVERTENCIA: las herramientas con batería siempre están en condiciones de
operación. Por lo tanto, siempre retire el paquete de baterías cuando no use la herramienta o
cuando la transporte junto a usted.
2. Para jar la presilla para cinturón
La presilla para cinturón (O) se puede instalar en el
lado izquierdo o derecho de la clavadora, según las
preferencias del operador.
a. Retire el paquete de baterías de la herramienta.
b. Alinee la presilla para cinturón y el oricio del
tornillo en el lado derecho o izquierdo de la
clavadora.
c. Apriete el tornillo con rmeza con un
destornillador Phillips (no se incluye).

3. Base para evitar rayones
La almohadilla antimarcas (M) unida a la punta de
la herramienta ayuda a evitar dañar y abollar la
supercie de trabajo cuando se usan maderas más
blandas.
ADVERTENCIA: retire el paquete de baterías
de la herramienta antes de quitar o reemplazar la
almohadilla antimarcas. Si no lo hace, podría sufrir
lesiones personales graves.
a. Retire el paquete de baterías de la herramienta.
b. Retire la almohadilla antimarcas usada tirando de ella hacia abajo y alejándola de la
punta.
c. Para volver a colocar la almohadilla antimarcas, colóquela sobre la punta de la
herramienta y presione para volver a jarla.
El almacenamiento (N) para la almohadilla antimarcas se encuentra en el cargador de la
herramienta. Se incluye una segunda almohadilla antimarcas en el área de almacenamiento
en la herramienta.
4. Para cargar o quitar clavos sin cabeza
ADVERTENCIA:
• Mantenga la herramienta apuntando lejos de
usted y de otras personas cuando cargue clavos.
No hacerlo podría provocar lesiones personales
graves.
• Utilice solo los clavos recomendados para su
uso con esta herramienta. El uso de otros clavos
puede producir un funcionamiento incorrecto de
la herramienta o provocar lesiones graves.
• Nunca cargue los clavos con el contacto de
la pieza de trabajo o el gatillo activado. El
incumplimiento de dicho paso podría resultar en
lesiones personales graves.
Para cargar clavos sin cabeza
a. Retire el paquete de baterías de la herramienta.
b. Con la punta de la herramienta apuntando en dirección opuesta a usted, apriete el botón
de liberación del cargador (D) ubicado en la parte posterior del cargador (E) y deslice el
cargador para abrirlo.
c. Coloque los clavos de clavo (5/8” a 2-1/8” [16,0 mm - 54,0 mm] de largo) en la canaleta
con las puntas de los clavos apuntando hacia abajo y descansando en la parte inferior de
la canaleta.
d. Empuje el cargador (E) para cerrarlo hasta que quede bien encajado.
e. Asegúrese de que el cargador (E) esté bloqueado de forma segura en su lugar.
f. Vuelva a colocar la batería y reactive la clavadora presionando el interruptor de
encendido (A).

Para quitar clavos sin cabeza
a. Retire el paquete de baterías de la herramienta.
b. Apriete el botón de liberación del cargador (D) ubicado en la parte posterior del cargador
(E) y deslice el cargador para abrirlo.
c. Quite los clavos.
d. Cierre el cargador y asegúrese de que está bien bloqueado.
5. Ajuste de profundidad de colocación
Es recomendable que haga una prueba de la
profundidad de colocación en una pieza de trabajo
de desecho para determinar la profundidad
requerida para la aplicación.
Los materiales más duros y los clavos más largos
requerirán más fuerza para colocar el clavo.
ADVERTENCIA: siempre apunte la clavado-
ra lejos de usted y de los demás cuando realice
ajustes. El incumplimiento de dicho paso podría
provocar lesiones graves.
a. Retire el paquete de baterías de la herramienta.
b. Gire el dial de ajuste de profundidad (L) para
ajustar la profundidad como lo indica la echa de profundidad.
c. Vuelva a colocar la batería y reactive la herramienta presionando el interruptor de
encendido (A).
d. Coloque un clavo de prueba después de cada ajuste hasta lograr la profundidad deseada.

6. Colocando clavos sin cabeza
ADVERTENCIA: nunca calce o retenga el
mecanismo de contacto de la pieza durante el
funcionamiento de la herramienta. El incumplimien-
to de dicho paso podría causar lesiones personales
graves.
AVISO: si no se realiza ninguna otra acción
después de presionar el interruptor de encendido
(A), la clavadora se apagará automáticamente
después de 30 minutos.
Modo de actuación secuencial única:
La acción secuencial simple brinda la ubicación de clavos más precisa.
a. Asegúrese de que la pieza de trabajo esté asegurada antes de realizar cualquier
operación.
b. Coloque la batería y active la herramienta presionando el interruptor de encendido (A).
c. Presione brevemente el botón de selección de modo (B) para seleccionar el modo de
actuación secuencial única “ ”.
d. Agarre la herramienta rmemente para mantener el control. Coloque la punta de la
herramienta sobre la supercie de trabajo.
e. Empuje la herramienta contra la supercie de trabajo para presionar el contacto de la
pieza (G). Luego apriete interruptor tipo gatillo (J) para colocar un clavo.
f. Suelte el interruptor tipo gatillo (J) y levante la punta de la pieza de trabajo para completar
la acción de clavado.
g. Repita los pasos ‘d’ a ‘f’ para colocar más clavos.
NOTA:
• Mantenga apretado el gatillo hasta que se complete el trabajo de clavado.
• Si no hay más acción durante más de 10 segundos después de presionar el contacto de la
pieza de trabajo (G) sin soltarlo, el disparo se bloqueará a menos que los usuarios suelten
tanto el contacto de la pieza de trabajo (G) como el interruptor tipo gatillo (J) y lo intenten de
nuevo.
Modo de activación por contacto:
La activación por contacto permite una rápida colocación repetitiva de clavos.
a. Asegúrese de que la pieza de trabajo esté asegurada antes de realizar cualquier
operación.
b. Coloque la batería y active la herramienta presionando el interruptor de encendido (A).
c. Presione brevemente el botón de selección de modo (B) para seleccionar el modo de
activación por contacto “ ”.
d. Agarre la herramienta rmemente para mantener el control.
e. Apriete y mantenga pulsado el interruptor tipo gatillo (J).
f. Empuje la herramienta contra la supercie de trabajo para presionar el contacto de la
pieza de trabajo (G) y colocar un clavo.

g. Mantenga el gatillo apretado, reubique la herramienta en el siguiente punto de clavado y
empuje la herramienta contra la pieza de trabajo para colocar otro clavo.
h. Suelte el gatillo (J) cuando termine.
NOTA:
• El modo de actuación por contacto aún conserva la lógica del modo de actuación
secuencial única. Esto signica que la herramienta también se puede operar presionando
el contacto de la pieza de trabajo (G) contra la supercie y presionando el interruptor tipo
gatillo (J).
• Si no hay más acción durante más de 10 segundos después hacer contacto con la pieza
de trabajo (G) o activar el interruptor tipo gatillo (J) sin soltarlo, el disparo se bloqueará
a menos que los usuarios suelten tanto el contacto de la pieza de trabajo (G) como el
interruptor tipo gatillo (J) y lo intenten de nuevo.
7. Seguro contra los disparos sin carga
Cuando al cargador le queden entre 0 y 6 clavos, la función de bloqueo de fuego seco
no permitirá la operación continua. Para reactivar el funcionamiento, vuelva a cargar la
herramienta con clavos.
8. Luz de trabajo LED
La luz de trabajo LED (C), que se muestra en
la FIG. 8, se iluminará cuando se presione el
interruptor tipo gatillo (J) o el contacto de la pieza
de trabajo (G). Esto brinda más iluminación en
la supercie de la pieza de trabajo para usar la
herramienta en áreas con poca iluminación.
Las luces de trabajo LED se apagarán
aproximadamente 10 segundos después de que se
suelte el interruptor tipo gatillo.
9. Extracción de un clavo sin cabeza atascado

NOTA: si clava los clavos demasiado profundamente en el material, el exceso de escombros
o los clavos atascados puede hacer que la hoja del destornillador se atasque en su posición

uids, such as seawater, certain industrial chemicals, and bleach or

• Do not charge the battery in a damp or wet location. Following

• For best results, your battery should be charged in a location
where the temperature is greater than 41°F (5°C) and less than
104°F (40°C). Do not store outside or in vehicles.

Before attempting to use the battery pack, familiarize yourself with
all of its operating features and safety requirements.

hazardous condition leading to possible serious personal injury.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Power Indicator
This lithium-ion battery pack
is equipped with a power
indicator that displays the
battery pack’s charge status.
Press the power-indicator
button (B) to display the LED
lights in the power indicator
(C). The LED lights will stay lit
for approximately 5 seconds.
It is recommended that the
battery pack be brought up
to full charge before starting
a big job or using it for an
extended period of time.
NOTICE: The power indicator can be used whether the battery is
attached or removed from tool.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Low Capacity Warning
If one LED of the power indicator (C) begins to ash, the battery
pack is charged to less than 20% of its capacity and should be
recharged.
Unlike other types of battery packs, lithium-ion battery packs deliver
fade-free power for their entire run time. The tool will not experience
a slow, gradual loss of power as it is used. The power delivered to
the tool will drop quickly when the battery pack is at the end of its
run time and needs to be charged. It is not necessary to completely
discharge the battery pack before recharging. Remove the battery
pack from the tool and recharge it when it is convenient or when it
is not in use.
Battery Protection
The battery circuitry protects the battery pack from extreme
temperature, over-discharge, and over-charge. To protect the battery
pack from damage and prolong its life, the battery pack circuitry will
turn off the battery pack if it becomes overloaded or if the temperature
becomes too high during use. This may happen in extremely high
torque, binding, and stalling situations. This system will begin normal
operation when it returns to 32°F (0°C) - 122°F (50°C).
The power indicator (C) will display four ashing LED lights if the
circuitry detects a momentary overload. Reset the battery pack by
pressing the power-indicator button (A). Press the power indicator
button again to display the remaining charge.
NOTICE: A signicantly reduced run time after fully charging the
battery pack indicates that the batteries are near the end of their
usable life and must be replaced.

2. Cold Weather Operation
This lithium-ion battery pack will provide optimal performance in
temperatures between 32°F (0°C) and 104°F (40°C). When the
battery pack is very cold, it may “pulse” for the rst minute of use to
warm itself. Put the battery pack on a tool and use the tool in a light
application. After about a minute, the battery pack will have warmed
itself and will operate normally.
3. To Charge the Battery Pack
NOTICE: This lithium-ion battery pack is shipped partially charged.
Before using it the rst time, fully charge the battery pack.
A fully discharged battery pack will charge in about 85 minutes with
charger KRC 2445-03 in a surrounding temperature between
41°F (5°C) and 104°F (40°C).

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
All maintenance should only be carried out by a qualied
service technician.
Dispose of used battery packs promptly. Keep battery packs
away from children. Do not disassemble battery packs and do not
dispose of them in re.
Cleaning
Before cleaning or performing any maintenance, remove the
battery pack from the tool. For safe and proper operation, always
keep the tool and its ventilation slots clean.
Always use only a soft, dry cloth to clean your battery pack; never
use detergent or alcohol.

For 3 years from date of purchase the battery is warranted for
the original purchaser to be free from defects in material and
workmanship. This guarantee does not cover damage due to
abuse, normal wear, improper maintenance, neglect, unauthorized

Advertencia de poca capacidad
Si una bombilla LED del indicador de alimentación (C) comienza a
destellar, el paquete de baterías está cargado con menos del 20%
de su capacidad y se debe volver a cargar.
A diferencia de otros paquetes de baterías, los paquetes de
baterías de litio-ión entregan una fuerza que no decae durante todo
su funcionamiento. La herramienta no sufrirá una pérdida gradual
y lenta de potencia mientras se usa. La potencia que se entrega a
la herramienta bajará rápidamente cuando el paquete de baterías
se encuentre al nal de su tiempo de funcionamiento y se deba
cargar. No es necesario descargar completamente el paquete de
baterías antes de volver a cargarlo. Retire el paquete de baterías
de la herramienta y recárguelo cuando sea conveniente o cuando

2. Uso en clima frío
El paquete de baterías de litio ión proporcionará un rendimiento
óptimo en un ambiente con temperaturas entre 0 °C (32 °F) y 40 °C
(104 °F). Cuando el paquete de baterías está muy frío, puede que
“pulse” durante el primer minuto de uso para entibiarse. Coloque

Know Your Battery Charger
Before attempting to use the battery charger, familiarize yourself
with all of its operating features and safety requirements.
WARNING
• Do not allow familiarity with the battery charger to cause
carelessness. Remember that one careless moment is enough
to cause severe injury. Before attempting to use any tool, be
sure to become familiar with all of the operating features and
safety instructions.
• Do not attempt to modify this charger or create accessories not
recommended for use with this charger. Any such alteration or
modication is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition
leading to possible serious personal injury.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries with the
charger.

To Charge a Battery Pack
NOTICE: Battery packs are
shipped in a low charge
condition to prevent possible
problems. Before using it the
rst time, fully charge the
battery pack.
a. Make sure that the battery
pack is compatible with
this charger.
b. Connect the charger to
a power supply. The red
and green LED charge indicators (B) and (C) will illuminate for
approximately 1 second and then turn off.
c. Attach the battery pack to the charger by aligning the raised ribs
of the battery pack with the slot in the charger. Slide the battery
pack onto the charger (Fig. 1).
d. The charger will communicate with the battery pack’s circuitry
to evaluate the condition of the battery pack. Please refer to the
“Charger Display” section.
e. The green LED (B) will ash continuously during normal
charging.
f. After charging is complete, the green LED (B) on the charger will
be continuously on and the power indicator LEDs on the battery
pack will turn off. The power indicator LEDs on the battery pack
will illuminate when the power indicator button is pressed when
the battery pack is detached from the charger.
NOTICE:
• When the battery pack is fully charge disconnect it form the charger.
• The charger may get warm with several continuous charge
cycles. This is part of the normal operation of the charger.

Lithium-Ion Batteries
It is not necessary to run down the Lithium-Ion battery pack charge
before recharging. Remove the battery pack from the tool and
recharge it whenever it is convenient.
Charging a hot battery pack
If a battery pack that exceeds the normal temperature is inserted,
the red LED charge indicator (C) will turn on and the green LED
indicator (B) will go out. When the temperature of the battery pack
drops to a suitable temperature, the charger will automatically start
charging.
Charging a cold battery pack
If a battery pack that is below the normal temperature is inserted,
the red LED charge indicator (C) will turn on and the green LED
indicator (B) will go out. When the temperature of the battery pack
rises to a suitable temperature, the charger can automatically start
charging.

When the charger detects a problem, the red LED charge indicator
(C) will ash and the green light will go out.
a. When the red LED charge indicator (C) ashes, remove the
battery pack and reinsert it into the charger. If the red LED
indicator (C) still ashes, try a different battery pack.
b. If the replacement battery pack can be charged, it means that
the previous battery pack is broken and needs to be serviced or
replaced.
c. If the red light still ashes after trying a different battery pack,
unplug the charger’s power cord, wait for the red LED indicator
(C) to go out, and then plug the charger back into power outlet.

d. If the LED indicator (C) is still ashing after reconnecting the
charger, it means that the charger may be broken and needs to
be serviced or replaced.

PREPARACIÓN
Información acerca del cargador de la batería
Antes de intentar usar el cargador de la batería, familiarícese con
todas sus características de operación y requisitos de seguridad.
ADVERTENCIA
• No permita que la familiaridad con el cargador de batería
disminuya su nivel de responsabilidad frente al producto.
Recuerde que un momento de descuido es suciente
para causar lesiones graves. Antes de intentar utilizar una
herramienta, asegúrese de familiarizarse con todas las
funciones de operación e instrucciones de seguridad.
• No intente modicar este cargador ni crear accesorios que
no sean recomendados para utilizar con el mismo. Cualquier
alteración o modicación se considera un uso indebido y podría
causar una situación peligrosa que provoque lesiones graves.
• No intente recargar baterías que no son recargables con el
cargador.

1. Cómo cargar un paquete
de baterías

usarlo por primera vez, debe
cargar completamente el
paquete de baterías.
a. Asegúrese de que el
paquete de baterías sea
totalmente compatible con
este cargador.
b. Conecte el cargador a un suministro de electricidad. Los
indicadores de carga LED rojo y verde (B) y (C) se iluminarán
por aproximadamente un segundo y luego se apagarán.
c. Conecte el paquete de baterías al cargador alineando las varillas
elevadas del paquete de baterías con la ranura en el cargador.
Deslice el paquete de baterías sobre el cargador (g. 1).
d. El cargador se comunicará con el circuito del paquete de
baterías para evaluar su condición. Consulte la sección
«Pantalla del cargador».
e. La luz LED verde (B) destellará de forma continua durante el
proceso de carga normal.
f. Cuando termine de cargar, se encenderá de forma continua la
luz LED verde (B) del indicador en el cargador y se apagarán las
luces LED indicadoras de alimentación del paquete de baterías.
Las bombillas LED del indicador de alimentación del paquete
de baterías se iluminarán al pulsar el botón del indicador de
alimentación cuando el pack de baterías esté desconectado del
cargador.

AVISO:
• Cuando el paquete de baterías esté completamente cargado,
desconéctelo del cargador.
• Es posible que el cargador se caliente con varios ciclos continuos
de carga. Esto es parte del funcionamiento normal del cargador.
ADVERTENCIA
• No cargue las baterías en un ambiente cerrado.
Baterías de iones de litio
No es necesario descargar el paquete de baterías de iones de
litio antes de volver a cargarlo. Retire el paquete de baterías de la
herramienta y cárguelo nuevamente según sea necesario.
Carga de un paquete de baterías caliente
Si se inserta una batería que excede la temperatura normal, el
indicador LED rojo de carga (C) se encenderá y el indicador LED
verde (B) se apagará. Cuando el paquete de baterías baje a una
temperatura adecuada, el cargador iniciará automáticamente la
carga.
Carga de un paquete de baterías frío
Si se inserta una batería por debajo de la temperatura normal,
el indicador LED rojo de carga (C) se encenderá y el indicador
LED verde (B) se apagará. Cuando el paquete de baterías se
eleve hasta una temperatura adecuada, el cargador puede iniciar
automáticamente la carga.

Solución de problemas
Cuando el cargador detecta un problema, el indicador de carga
LED rojo (C) parpadeará y la luz verde se apagará.
a. Cuando el indicador LED rojo de carga (C) parpadee, retire la
batería y vuelva a insertarla en el cargador. Si el indicador LED
rojo (C) aún parpadea, pruebe con una batería diferente.

b. Si el paquete de baterías de reemplazo puede cargarse, signica
que el paquete de baterías anterior está roto y necesita ser
reparado o reemplazado.
c. Si la luz roja sigue parpadeando después de probar con otro
paquete de baterías, desenchufe el cable de alimentación del
cargador, espere a que se apague el indicador LED rojo (C) y
vuelva a enchufar el cargador a la toma de corriente.
d. Si el indicador LED (C) sigue parpadeando después de volver a
conectar el cargador, signica que el cargador puede estar roto y
debe ser reparado o reemplazado.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
Todos los mantenimientos deben ser realizados solo por una
organización de servicio autorizada.
Limpieza
Antes de limpiar o realizar cualquier mantenimiento,
desconecte el cargador de batería de la fuente de alimentación.
Para un uso seguro y adecuado, siempre mantenga limpios el
cargador y sus ranuras de ventilación.
Siempre use solo un paño suave y seco para limpiar el cargador;
nunca use detergente ni alcohol.
3 AÑOS DE GARANTÍA SIN PROBLEMAS
El cargador está garantizado contra defectos de fabricación en
materiales y mano de obra por 3 años desde la fecha de compra
para el comprador original. Esta garantía no cubre daños por
uso indebido, desgaste normal, mantenimiento inadecuado,
negligencia, reparación o alteración no autorizadas, ni piezas o
accesorios desechables cuya inutilidad es esperable después de
