present, basic safety precautions should always be followed,

sinks, baths and other similar containers. The proximity of water

Important cord information
This appliance has a polarized plug. To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug only fits into a polarized outlet in one way.

This flat iron is intended for straightening human hair only. Un-
der no circumstances is it to be used for wigs or hairpieces made
of synthetic material. This appliance is intended exclusively for
private use. Pay attention to all of the information in this operating
manual, especially the safety instructions. This appliance is not
intended for commercial applications.
The appliance is not intended for any other purpose, nor for use
beyond the scope described. No claims of any kind will be ac-
cepted for damage arising as a result of incorrect use. The risk

Unpacking
Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions
from the box.
Remove all packaging material.
RISK OF SUFFOCATION! Packaging materials
should not be used as a toy. There is a risk of suffocation.
Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during
transport. The packaging materials have been selected for their
environmental friendliness and ease of disposal, and are therefore
recyclable.
Returning the packaging into the material cycle conserves raw
materials and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose
of packaging materials that are no longer needed in accordance
with applicable local regulations.
If possible, keep the appliance’s original packaging during the
warranty period so that the appliance can be packed properly

Before straightening
■ The hair should be clean, dry and free of styling products. The
only exception to this are special products which facilitate hair
straightening.
■ Comb the hair thoroughly before straightening so that there
are no knots in it.
Automatic power off
This appliance is equipped with an automatic power off system.
After 30 minutes, the appliance will turn off automatically. After
approx. 25 minutes, the indicator lamp 2 starts to flash to remind
you it is about to turn off automatically. If you want to continue
using the appliance, turn it off for a moment and then back on
again.
The automatic power off is a safety function only and is not
intended as a replacement for turning the appliance off properly
using the on/off switch 4!

Operation
Turning on/off
The hotplates 1 must be free of dirt. Clean them before use, if
necessary (see "Cleaning" section).
The appliance is secured with the catch 5.
Press the hotplates 1 together and pull the catch 5 back.
Now you can open the flat iron all the way.
1) Insert the plug into a power socket.
2) Push the ON/OFF switch 4 into the ON position. The indicator
light 2 starts to flash red and the appliance starts to heat up.
3) Select the temperature suitable for your hair by turning the
temperature control 3:
–Turn the temperature control towards MIN to reduce the
temperature.
–Turn the temperature control towards MAX to increase the
temperature.
Select a high temperature for thick and strong hair.
Select a lower temperature for fine and thin hair.
If you are unsure, start with a lower temperature and increase the
temperature until you find the ideal temperature for you.

4) As soon as the flat iron has reached the set temperature, the
indicator lamp 2 will light up permanently red.
5) When you have finished styling your hair, push the ON/OFF
switch 4 back into the OFF position. The indicator light 2
turns off.
Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely.
Straightening hair
1) Prepare the hair as described in "Before straightening".
2) Start with the lower sections of hair at the back of your head.
Work around the sides to the front:
Take a strand with a width of approximately 2 cm and hold its
end tightly between your index and middle finger of the hand
that is not holding the flat iron.
Ensure that the hotplates 1 do not touch your
scalp. Risk of burns! Never touch the hotplates 1 during opera-
tion! During operation, hold the appliance only by its handles.

3) Clamp the strand near the root between the hotplates 1 and
press them together.
4) Pull the entire strand through the hotplates 1 by pulling the flat
iron quickly downward from the root to the tips.
5) Proceed in the same way for every strand.
6) Once you have straightened all the strands, turn the appliance
off and pull the power plug from the power socket.
7) Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
Press the hotplates 1 together and push the catch 5 back in.

Cleaning
Before cleaning the appliance, always pull out
the plug from the power socket. There is a risk of electric shock!
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you
immerse the appliance in water or other liquids during cleaning!
Allow the appliance to cool fully before cleaning
it. Risk of burns!
Do not use any aggressive, abrasive or chemi-
cal cleaning agents! These could damage the upper surfaces of
the appliance.
1) Wipe the housing and the hotplates 1 with a damp cloth.
2) For stubborn residues, you may add a mild detergent to the
cloth. Wipe off any detergent residue using a cloth and clean
water only.
3) Allow the appliance to dry fully before using it again.
Storage
■ Place the appliance on a heat-resistant surface to cool down.
■ You can hang the appliance up by the hook 6.
If you do not intend using the appliance for long periods,
■ clean the appliance as described in the "Cleaning" section.
■ store the appliance in a clean and dry location.

What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:

Antes de alisar
■ El cabello debe estar limpio, seco y no tener productos para
peinado. La única excepción a esto son los productos especia-
les que facilitan el alisado del cabello.
■ Peine el cabello completamente antes del alisado para que no
haya nudos.
Apagado automático
Este dispositivo está equipado con un sistema de apagado
automático. Después de 30 minutos, el dispositivo se apagará
automáticamente. Aproximadamente después de 25 minutos, la
lámpara indicadora 2 empieza a parpadear para recordarle
que está a punto de apagarse automáticamente. Si desea seguir
usando el dispositivo, apáguelo por un momento y vuelva a
encenderlo.

¡El apagado automático es una función de seguridad y no tiene la
intención de servir de reemplazo al apagado adecuado del dispo-
sitivo cuando se usa el interruptor de encendido/apagado 4!
Operación
Encendido y apagado
Las placas calientes 1 deben estar libres de suciedad. Límpielas
antes del uso si es necesario (vea la sección "Limpieza").
El dispositivo se asegura con el seguro 5.
Presione las placas calientes 1 y retire el seguro 5 .
Ahora puede abrir el alisador de cabello completamente.
1) Inserte la clavija en una toma de corriente.
2) Coloque el interruptor de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO 4 en la
posición de encendido (ON). La luz indicadora 2 empieza a
parpadear en color rojo y el dispositivo comienza a calentarse.
3) Seleccione la temperatura adecuada para su cabello al girar
el control de temperatura 3:
–Gire el control de temperatura hacia MIN para reducir la
temperatura.
–Gire el control de temperatura hacia MAX para aumentar
la temperatura.
Seleccione una temperatura alta para cabello grueso y fuerte.
Seleccione una temperatura más baja para cabello fino y delgado.
Si no está seguro, comience con una temperatura más baja y
auméntela hasta que encuentre la temperatura ideal para usted.

4) Tan pronto como el alisador de cabello haya alcanzado la
temperatura establecida, la lámpara indicadora 2 se iluminará
en color rojo de manera permanente.
5) Cuando haya terminado de estilizar su cabello, coloque el
interruptor de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO 4 en la posición
apagado (OFF). La luz indicadora 2 se apaga.
Desenchufe el dispositivo y permita que se enfríe completa-
mente.
Alisado del cabello
1) Prepare el cabello como se describe en "Antes de alisar".
2) Empiece con las secciones inferiores de cabello en la parte
posterior de la cabeza. Avance por los lados hacia el frente:
Tome un mechón de aproximadamente 2 cm de ancho y sos-
téngalo del extremo con firmeza entre los dedos índice y medio
de la mano que no está sujetando el alisador de cabello.
Asegúrese de que las placas calientes 1
no toquen el cuero cabelludo. ¡Riesgo de quemaduras! ¡Nunca
toque las placas calientes 1 durante la operación del dispositivo!
Solamente sostenga el dispositivo por el mango durante la opera-
ción. ¡Riesgo de quemaduras!
3) Coloque la pinza en el mechón cerca de la raíz entre las
placas calientes 1 y presiónelas.
4) Jale el mechón completo a través de las placas calientes 1 al
jalar el alisador de cabello rápidamente hacia abajo desde la
raíz hasta las puntas.
5) Proceda de la misma forma para cada mechón.
6) Una vez que haya alisado todos los mechones, apague el
dispositivo y desconecte la clavija de la toma eléctrica.
7) Permita que el dispositivo se enfríe completamente.
Presione las placas calientes 1 y vuelva a poner el seguro 5.

Limpieza
Antes de limpiar el dispositivo, siempre
desconecte la clavija de la toma eléctrica. ¡Existe el riesgo de
descarga eléctrica!
¡BAJO NINGUNA CIRCUNSTANCIA
sumerja el dispositivo en agua u otro líquido durante la limpieza!
Espere a que el dispositivo se enfríe por com-
pleto antes de limpiarlo. ¡Riesgo de quemaduras!
¡No use agentes de limpieza agresivos, abrasivos
o químicos! Estos pueden dañar las superficies superiores del
dispositivo.
1) Limpie la carcasa y las placas calientes 1 con una tela hume-
decida.
2) Para residuos difíciles, puede agregar un detergente suave a
la tela. Limpie cualquier residuo de detergente solamente con
una tela y agua limpia.
3) Deje que el dispositivo se seque completamente antes de
usarlo de nuevo.
Almacenamiento
■ Coloque el dispositivo sobre una superficie resistente al calor
para que se enfríe.
■ Puede colgar el dispositivo del gancho 6.
Si no va a usar el dispositivo durante un largo periodo,
■ límpielo como se describe en la sección "Limpieza".
■ Guarde el dispositivo en un lugar limpio y seco.

Eliminación del dispositivo
