This appliance is for household use and may be plugged into any AC
electrical outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other
electrical outlet.
IMPORTANT: Never block air intake grille, as this will cause the unit to
overheat. Should this happen, a built-in safety system will operate, and
the unit will start blowing cool air. At this point, turn the switch to Off, and
clear any obstruction from the air intake grille. Wait 10 minutes before
attempting to operate the appliance again. If the unit fails to operate, it
may indicate that the appliance has sustained extensive damage.
Do not try to repair it yourself. Take it to an electrical service facility, or
return it to the manufacturer. See warranty for instructions.
SPECIAL ATTENTION:
This new appliance is designed with a protective coating around the
heating coils. When plugged in and operating for the first time, there may
be a little momentary smoking while this coating is initially heated. This
represents no danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in the
unit. When using for the first time, allow the appliance to continue running
until the smoke dissipates. This should last only about 30 seconds.
To extend the life of the dryer, it is advisable to switch it to the coolest
setting for a few seconds before shutting it off.
TO USE
Be sure switch is in the Off position and plug cord into an electrical outlet.
Place dryer on a hard, level surface. Be sure it is at a comfortable height
to open unit. Push the twin locks located on each side of base at the same
time, and lift hood straight up and forward (Fig. 1). Then place one hand
on the base to steady the unit, and with the thumb of other hand, fully
depress the Tilt Control. While holding the Tilt Control, pull hood forward
until it locks in place (Fig. 2). To close unit, fully depress the Tilt Control
and push hood back and down.
To adjust the height of the hood, place one hand on the arm near the base
and the other hand on the arm just below the hood. Gently lift until hood is
at the height desired (Fig. 3).
Tilt the hood upward by fully depressing the Tilt Control (Fig. 4). This will
make it more convenient to be seated under the hood. Leaving the hood in
the upward angle will allow you to watch TV, read or speak with others. If
preferred, lower the hood by fully depressing the Tilt Control and gently
pulling down the hood.
Plug in and turn On. Use High heat settings for very wet hair, and reduce
to lower heat settings as hair dries.
DRYING WIGS AND HAIRPIECES: Use the Cool setting for drying synthetic
hair and the Low setting for drying natural hair. NOTE: The use of higher
heat settings could damage wig or hairpiece.
TO REMOVE AIR INTAKE GRILLE: Twist slightly counterclockwise and lift
off (Fig. 5).
TO ATTACH AIR INTAKE GRILLE: Align tabs on grille with notches on
inside of grille housing. Twist clockwise until secure.

tomacorriente de corriente alterna (corriente ordinaria doméstica). No
use ningún otro tipo de tomacorriente.
IMPORTANTE: No obstaculice nunca la rejilla removible de admisión de
aire pues ello producirá el recalentamiento de la unidad. Si esto llega a
pasar, funcionará un sistema de seguridad incorporado y la unidad
comenzará a botar aire frío. Inmediatamente mueva el interruptor hacia
la posición Apagado (OFF) y libere la rejilla de admisión de aire de
cualquier obstrucción. Espere 10 minutos antes de hacer funcionar
nuevamente la unidad. Si la unidad deja de funcionar podría indicar que
ha sufrido daño considerable.
No trate de repararlo usted mismo. Llévelo a un taller eléctrico o
devuélvalo al fabricante. Siga las instrucciones que aparecen en la
garantía.
ATENCION ESPECIAL:
Este nuevo aparato ha sido diseñado con un revestimiento protector
sobre los carretes calentadores. Cuando se enchufa y usa por primera
vez, puede salir un poco de humo momentáneamente mientras se
calienta este revestimiento. Esto no representa ningún peligro para el
usuario y no indica que la unidad esté defectuosa. Cuando lo use por
primera vez, permita que el aparato continúe funcionando hasta que se
disipe el humo. Esto debe durar sólo unos 30 segundos.
Para prolongar la vida del secador, se recomienda ponerlo en la
temperatura más fría por unos segundos antes de apagarlo.
PARA USAR
Asegúrese de que el interruptor esté en la posición Apagado (OFF) y
enchufe el cordón en un tomacorriente.
Coloque el secador en una superficie dura y plana. Asegúrese que esté a
una altura cómoda para abrir la unidad. Empuje el doble seguro,
localizado en ambos lados de la base, a un mismo tiempo y levante el
casco hacia arriba y hacia adelante (Fig. 1). Luego coloque una mano en
la base sosteniendo la unidad y con el dedo pulgar de la otra mano
apriete completamente el control de inclinación. Mientras esté
sosteniendo el control de inclinación, hale el casco hacia adelante hasta
que quede asegurado en su lugar (Fig. 2). Para cerrar la unidad, apriete
completamente el control de inclinación y empuje el casco hacia atrás y
hacia abajo.
Para acomodar la altura del casco, coloque una mano en el brazo cerca
de la base y la otra mano en el brazo justo debajo del casco. Suavemente
levante hasta que el casco esté a la altura deseada (Fig. 3).
Levante el casco oprimiendo completamente el control de inclinación
(Fig. 4). Esto hará más cómodo sentarse debajo del casco. Dejando el
casco en un ángulo hacia arriba le permitirá ver la televisión, leer o
hablar con otras personas. Si prefiere, puede bajar el casco, presionando
el control de inclinación y suavemente halando el casco hacia abajo.
Enchufe y encienda la unidad. Use temperatura Alta (HIGH) para el
cabello muy mojado y reduzca la temperatura conforme vaya secando.
SECANDO PELUCAS Y AGREGADOS: Use el control Frío (COOL) para
secar cabellos sintéticos y temperatura Baja (LOW) para el secado de
cabellos naturales. NOTA: El uso de temperaturas muy altas puede dañar
las pelucas y los agregados.
PARA RETIRAR LA REJILLA DE ADMISION DE AIRE: Ligeramente dele
vuelta hacia la izquierda y levántela (Fig. 5).
PARA COLOCAR LA REJILLA DE ADMISION DE AIRE: Alinee las lengüetas
de la rejilla con las aberturas que están dentro de la caja de la rejilla.
Dele vuelta hacia la derecha hasta que se asegure.

LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks.
If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced
and the line cord replaced. Please return it to our Service Department

5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place
undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause
it to fray and break.

HOW TO USE
This appliance is permanently lubricated and will not require additional
lubrication for the life of the unit. It contains no user serviceable parts.
Refer service to qualified service personnel.
TO CLEAN: Unplug unit and allow to cool. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to
wipe the surfaces. Do not allow water or any other liquid to get into the
unit. Intake grille must be cleared of any build-up of lint or hair with a
small brush.
TO STORE: Unplug appliance, allow to cool, and store in its box or in a dry
place. Never store it while it is hot or still plugged in. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the appliance. Coil cord, and place in cord storage well. Do
not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause
the cord to fray and break.
SERVICE NOTE: Before returning unit for service, please make sure the air
intake grille is free of lint and hair. If it is not, clean with a small brush and
try to operate the unit again.
CARE AND CLEANING

COMO USAR
Este aparato se mantiene lubricado permanentemente y no necesita
