Electrical safety and cord handling

• Cans with heavy seams, uneven rims or odd shapes may cause the can opener

to stall. If this occurs, turn the can slightly by hand to aid the cutting action.

• Aluminum lids will not be sticked to the magnet.

• When not in use, store your appliance and its instruction manual in a safe and

dry place.

• Maintain the appliance in accordance with the instructions to ensure that it

functions properly.

• If there is a product malfunction, or if it has been damaged in any way, call the

• Immediately unplug the appliance if re or smoke is emitted.

• At the end of its working life, do not throw this appliance out with your house-

Before rst use

• Unpack the appliance but keep all packaging materials until you have made

sure your new can opener is undamaged and in good working order.

• Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children, so

ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach.

Using the can opener

• To attach the blade bracket to the can opener, make the key tabs align with

the key slots, push it frontward to x it (see Fig. 1), then press down the blade

bracket to ensure it has been assembled in place (see Fig. 2).

• Unwind the cord to its full length and inspect it for

damage. Do not use the appliance if the appliance or its

cord have been damaged or are not working properly.

• Place the appliance on a at, dry surface.

• Connect to the power source. Make sure that the can

opener voltage (see rating plate) and the line voltage

match.

• Raise the blade bracket enough to wedge the can

between the cutting blade and feed gear. (see Fig 3.)

• Press the bracket down all the way to pierce the lid and

start the cutting process. When you push down the

bracket the motor will start rotating the can.

• When the can is opened, the can opener will stop

automatically. To remove the can, hold it with one hand

and raise the blade bracket with the other hand.

Using the bottle opener

• Read this manual to familiarize yourself with the

appliance. Pay particular attention to the safety

instructions on the previous pages.

• Unplug the appliance from the power supply before

using the bottle opener.

• To open a bottle, grasp it and position the cap

under the metal hook part in the bottle opener

(see Fig. 4).

NOTE: Be sure the bottle neck is not under the metal

hook part, or the glass may break. Hold the

can opener with one hand and pull down to

pop the cap off with the other one.

• The bottle opener will only remove metal bottle

caps. Do not use it for a bottle with screw-off cap or

pull ring cap.

NOTE: The can required to be opened should be between 2 inches (50mm) to 4

inches (100mm) in diameter and 7 inches (178mm) max in height. In the

case total weight of can is over 18 0z (510g), it is necessary to press and

hold the can opener to avoid overturning. DO NOT operate the can opener

continuously for more than 1 minute.

CAUTION: Avoid touching the cut edges of the can or lids as they are sharp.

Carefully remove the lid from the magnet and discard.

• This can opener should not be used to open cans designed to open by another

method, such as a pull tab, peel-off foil seal, rolling key, rimless cans or cans

with angled corners.

• If there is a dent in the rim of a can, open the other end or start the cutting action

just beyond the dent.

Knife sharpening tips

• Clean and dry knives before sharpening.

• Do not attempt to sharpen serrated blades, as this will smooth the edges.

• Do not attempt to sharpen scissors.

Using the knife sharpener

• Read this manual to familiarize yourself with appliance. Pay particular attention

to the safety instructions on the previous pages.

• Unplug the appliance from the power supply before using the knife sharpener.

• Place the knife which is intended to be sharpened in the slot at the back of

the unit. For best results, sharpen the entire length of the knife, pull the knife

through the slot back and forth (see Fig. 5), until desired

sharpness achieved.

CAUTION!

Always unplug the cord from the wall socket before cleaning.

Never immerse the can opener, cord or plug in water or other liquids.

Care and cleaning

• Before cleaning any part of the can opener, unplug the cord.

• To remove the blade bracket for easy cleaning, lift the blade bracket up and pull

it out. The blade assembly can be cleaned with a damp cloth, then wiped with a

sponge and dried thoroughly. It is not a dishwasher-safe component. Reverse

the procedure to replace the blade bracket.

• Before replacing the blade bracket, wipe the can opener housing, and area

around the drive wheel with a slightly damp cloth or sponge. To remove

stubborn spots, wipe surfaces with nylon or mesh pad and sudsy water,

following with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners on any part of

the can opener as they can damage the surface.

• Ensure the can opener is completely dry before next use.

Antes del primer uso

• Desembale el aparato, pero conserve todo el material de embalaje hasta estar

seguro de que el abrelatas no está dañado y que funciona correctamente.

• La envoltura de plástico puede ser un peligro de asxia para los bebés y niños

pequeños, por lo que debe vericar que todos los materiales de empaque estén

fuera de su alcance.

Usar el abrelatas

• Para jar el soporte de la hoja en el abrelatas, alinee las pestañas con las

ranuras, haga presión hacia adelante para jarlo (ver la gura 1) y luego haga

presión hacia abajo para asegurarse de que esté en la posición correcta (ver la

gura 2).

• Desenrolle el cable completamente y compruebe que no

está dañado. No use el aparato si este o su cable están

dañados o no funcionan correctamente.

• Coloque el aparato sobre una supercie plana y seca.

• Conéctelo a la fuente de alimentación. Asegúrese de que

el voltaje del abrelatas (ver la placa de clasicación) y el

voltaje de la línea coinciden.

• Eleve el soporte de la hoja lo suciente para colocar la

lata entre la hoja de corte y el engranaje (ver la gura 3).

• Presione hacia abajo el soporte de la hoja por completo

hasta perforar la tapa y comience a cortar. Cuando pre-

siona hacia abajo el soporte el motor comenzará a hacer

girar la lata.

• Cuando se abre la lata, el abrelatas se detiene automáti-

camente. Para quitar la lata, sosténgala con una mano y

con la otra levante el soporte de la hoja.

Uso del abrebotellas

• Lea este manual para familiarizarse con el aparato.

Preste especial atención a las instrucciones de

seguridad en las páginas anteriores.

• Desconecte el aparato de la fuente de ali-

mentación antes de usar el abrebotellas.

• Para abrir una botella, agárrela y coloque la tapa

debajo del gancho metálico del abrebotellas

(ver la gura 4).

NOTA: Asegúrese de que el cuello de la botella no

quede debajo del gancho metálico o el vidrio

podría romperse. Sostenga el abrelatas con

una mano y jale hacia abajo para destapar la

botella con la otra mano.

• El abrebotellas solo quita tapas metálicas. No la

use con tapas de rosca o de aro.

NOTA: Para abrir la lata, esta debe tener entre 2 pulgadas (50 mm) y 4 pulgadas

(100 mm) de diámetro y como máximo 7 pulgadas (178 mm) de alto. Si el

peso total de la lata supera las 18 onzas (510 g), es necesario presionar

y sostener el abrelatas para evitar que se vuelque. NO utilice el abrelatas

constantemente por más de 1 minuto.

PRECAUCIÓN: Evite tocar los bordes cortados de las latas o las tapas porque

quedan losos. Con cuidado quite la tapa del imán y deséchela.

Consejos para alar cuchillos

¡PRECAUCIÓN!

Siempre desconecte el cable del tomacorriente antes de limpiar. Nunca

sumerja el abrelatas, el cable o el enchufe en agua o cualquier otro líquido.

Cuidado y limpieza

• Antes de limpiar cualquier pieza del abrelatas, desconecte el cable.

• Para quitar el soporte de la hoja de forma tal que pueda limpiarlo con facilidad,

levante el soporte de la hoja y jálelo hacia afuera. El conjunto de la hoja se

puede limpiar con un paño húmedo, y luego debe frotarlo con una esponja y

secarlo bien. No es una pieza apta para lavavajillas. Haga el procedimiento a la

inversa para volver a colocar el soporte de la hoja.

• Antes de volver a colocar el soporte de la hoja, frote la carcasa del abrelatas

y el área alrededor de la rueda con un paño o esponja apenas húmedo. Para

quitar manchas persistentes, frote las supercies con una almohadilla de nailon

o de malla y agua con jabón, y luego con un paño húmedo y limpio. No utilice

limpiadores abrasivos sobre ninguna pieza del abrelatas ya que pueden dañar

la supercie.

In order to make a claim under the warranty, please send us:

the original receipt and warranty card properly completed.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by :

Accident or unanticipated events (e.g. lightning, water, re).

Improper use or transport.

Disregard of the safety and maintenance instructions.

Other improper treatment or modications.

After the expiry of the warranty period, you still have the possibility to have your

product repaired at your own expense. If the repair or the estimate of costs is not

free of charge you will be informed accordingly in advance.

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights. In the event that a product is

received for repair, neither the service company nor the seller will assume any

liability for data or settings possibly stored on the product by the customer.
