1. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical

Code ANSI/NFPA 70 and local electrical codes. Electrical

installation should be performed by a qualied licensed

electrician.

2. The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted

and capable of reliably supporting 35 lbs. (15.9 kg). Use only

UL Listed outlet boxes marked “Acceptable for Fan Support of

35 lbs. (15.9 kg) or less.”

3. The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 ft (2.1 m)

clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the oor.

4. Do not operate the reversing switch while the fan blades are in

motion. You must turn the fan off and stop the blades before

you reverse the blade direction.

5. Do not place objects in the path of the blades.

6. Electrical diagrams are for reference only. Light kits that are not

packed with the fan must be UL listed and marked suitable for

use with the model fan you are installing. Switches must be UL

General Use Switches. Refer to the instructions packaged with

the light kits and switches for proper assembly. Use 9.5W LED

bulbs max (included).

7. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors should

be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the outlet box.

The wires should be spread apart with the grounded conductor

and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the

outlet box.

8. All setscrews must be checked and retightened where

necessary before installation.

9. Suitable for use in wet locations when installed in a GFCI

protected branch circuit. Use only with light kits marked

“Suitable for use in wet locations”.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury,

do not bend the blade brackets (also referred to as

anges) during assembly or after installation. Do not

insert objects in the path of the blades.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of re or electric

shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed

control device.

WARNING: Remove the rubber motor stops on

the bottom of the fan before installing the blades or

testing the motor.

WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock,

turn the electricity off at the main fuse box before

wiring. If you feel you do not have enough electrical

wiring knowledge or experience, contact a licensed

electrician.

The supplier warrants the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a lifetime

after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The supplier also warrants that all other fan parts, excluding any glass or acrylic blades, to be

free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of one year after the date of purchase by the

original purchaser. We agree to correct such defects without charge or at our option replace with a comparable or superior model if the product is

returned. To obtain warranty service, you must present a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase. All costs of removing and reinstalling the product

are your responsibility. Damage to any part such as by accident or misuse or improper installation or by afxing any accessories, is not covered by

this warranty. Because of varying climatic conditions this warranty does not cover any changes in brass nish, including rusting, pitting, corroding,

tarnishing, or peeling. Brass nishes of this type give their longest useful life when protected from varying weather conditions. A certain amount of

“wobble” is normal and should not be considered a defect. Servicing performed by unauthorized persons shall render the warranty invalid. There is

no other express warranty. Hampton Bay hereby disclaims any and all warranties, including but not limited to those of merchantability and tness

for a particular purpose to the extent permitted by law. The duration of any implied warranty which cannot be disclaimed is limited to the time

period as specied in the express warranty. Some states do not allow a limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation

MOUNTING OPTIONS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock

or personal injury, mount to outlet box marked

“Acceptable for fan support of 35 lbs. (15.9 Kg) or

less”, and use screws provided with the outlet box. An

outlet box commonly used for the support of lighting

xtures may not be acceptable for fan support and may

need to be replaced. If in doubt, consult a qualied

electrician.

If your ceiling fan does not have an existing UL-listed mounting

box, then install one using the following instructions:

□ Disconnect the power by removing the fuses or turning off

the circuit breakers.

□ Secure the outlet box directly to the building structure. Use

the appropriate fasteners and materials. The outlet box and

its bracing must be able to fully support the weight of the

moving fan (at least 35 lbs.). Do not use a plastic outlet box.

The illustrations below show three different ways to mount the

outlet box.

If the canopy touches the downrod, then remove the canopy bottom

cover, and turn the canopy 180° before attaching the canopy to the

mounting plate.

To hang your fan where there is an existing xture but no ceiling joist,

you may need an installation hanger bar as shown above

(available at any Home Depot store).

NOTE: You may need a longer downrod to maintain

proper blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped

ceiling. The maximum angle allowable is 30° away from

horizontal.

Preparing for mounting

□ Loosen, but do not remove, the two setscrews (RR) on the

collar (TT) on top of the motor housing.

□ Align the holes at the bottom of the downrod (B) with the

holes in the collar (TT) on top of the motor housing.

□ Carefully insert the hanger pin (DD) through the holes in

the collar (TT) and downrod (B). Be careful not to jam the

hanger pin (DD) against the wiring inside the downrod (B).

□ Insert the locking pin (EE) through the hole near the end of

the hanger pin (DD) until it snaps into its locked position.

□ Re-tighten the two setscrews (RR) on the collar (TT) on top

of the motor housing.

□ Remove the canopy ring (D) from the canopy (C) by turning

the ring counterclockwise until it unlocks.

□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C) by

loosening the two canopy screws (HH) located in the “L

shaped” slots.

□ Remove and save the two canopy screws (HH) and lock

washers (GG) in the round holes. This will enable you to

remove the mounting bracket (A).

□ Route the wires exiting the top of the fan motor (F)

through the coupler cover (E), and canopy ring (D).

□ Make sure the slot openings are on top and route the

wires through the canopy (C) and then through the

ball/downrod assembly (B).

WARNING: Failure to properly install the locking pin could

result in the fan becoming loose and possibly falling.

□ Pass the 120-Volt supply wires through the center hole in the

mounting bracket (A).

□ Install the ceiling mounting bracket on the outlet box by sliding

the mounting bracket (A) over the two screws (LL) provided with

the outlet box. If necessary, use leveling washers (not included)

between the mounting bracket (A) and the outlet box. Note that

the at side of the mounting bracket (A) is toward the outlet box.

When using close-to-ceiling mounting, it is important that the

mounting bracket be level.

□ Securely tighten the two mounting screws (LL).

WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or personal

injury, mount to outlet box marked “Acceptable for fan support

of 35 lbs. (15.9 Kg) or less”, and use screws provided with the

outlet box.

□ Remove the canopy ring (D) from the canopy (C) by turning the

ring counterclockwise until it unlocks.

□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C) by

loosening the two canopy screws (HH) located in the “L

shaped” slots.

□ Remove and save the two canopy screws (HH) in the round

holes. This will enable you to remove the mounting bracket (A).

□ Remove the decorative canopy bottom cover (M) from the

canppy (C) by pressing the three studs.

□ Remove three of the six screws (JJ) and lock washers (KK)

(every other one) securing the motor collar to the top of the

fan motor housing (F).

□ Place the rubber gasket (AA) over the remaining three screws

and route the wires exiting the top of the fan motor (F)

through the canopy ring (D). Make sure the slot opening is

on top, then proceed to place the ceiling canopy (C) over the

collar at the top of the motor (F).

□ Align the mounting holes with the holes in the motor (F) and

fasten, using the three screws (JJ) and lock washers (KK)

removed previously. Tighten the screws securely.

Making the electrical connection

IMPORTANT: Use the plastic wire connectors (CC) supplied with

your fan. Secure the connectors with electrical tape and ensure

there are no loose strands or connections.

WARNING: Each wire not supplied with this fan is designed to

accept up to one 12-gauge house wire and two wires from the

fan. If you have larger than 12-gauge house wiring or more

than one house wire to connect to the fan wiring, consult an

electrician for the proper size wire nuts to use.

□ Carefully lift the fan-motor assembly (F) up to the slide-on

mounting bracket (A).

□ Insert the ball portion of the ball/downrod assembly into the

socket of the slide-on mounting bracket.

□ Turn the ball/downrod assembly clockwise until it is seated

with the tab of the slide-on mounting bracket aligned with the

slot in the ball.

□ If using close-to-ceiling mounting, hang the fan on the hook

provided by utilizing one of the round holes at the outer rim of

the ceiling canopy (C).

WARNING: The hook (OO) is only to balance the fan while

making the electrical connections. Failure to hang as shown

may result in the hook (OO) breaking, causing the fan to fall.

The hook must pass from the inside to the outside of the

canopy.

WARNING: When hanging the fan on the hook (OO) it is

critical that you use one of the non-slotted (round) holes in

the canopy (C).

□ The fan comes with 30 in. lead wires for use with an extended

ball/downrod assembly. If using the 4.5 in. ball/downrod

assembly (B) provided, you can cut the lead wires to your

desired length (no shorter than 12 in.) This will make extra

room in the canopy (C), if you do not wish to cut the wires,

you will need to neatly wrap them.

□ Connect the fan motor green wires to the household green or

bare wire using a wire connecting nut (CC).

□ Connect the fan motor white wire to the household white wire

using a wire connecting nut (CC).

□ Connect the fan motor black and blue wires to the household

black wire using a wire connecting nut (CC).

□ Secure each wire connecting nut using electrical tape.

□ Turn the wire connecting nut (CC) upward and push the wiring

into the outlet box (MM).

NOTE: The fan comes with 30 in. lead wires for use with an

extended ball/downrod assembly. If using the 4.5 in. ball/downrod

assembly (B) provided, you can cut the lead wires to your desired

length (no shorter than 12 in.).

WARNING: Remove the rubber motor stops on the bottom of the

fan before installing the blades or testing the motor.

□ Align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy (C) with the two

screws in the mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage the

slots and turn clockwise to lock in place.

□ Firmly tighten the two mounting screws.

□ Install the two mounting screws (HH) and lock washers (GG)

(saved from Assembly Step 1 “Prepairing for mounting”) into

the holes in the canopy (C) and tighten rmly.

WARNING: When using the standard ball/downrod mounting, the

tab in the ring at the bottom of the mounting bracket must rest in

the groove of the hanger ball. Failure to properly seat the tab in

the groove could cause damage to the wiring.

Wrapping the extra wire

□ Gently wrap the excess wire around the mounting bracket.

□ Secure with electrical tape.

NOTE: Follow this step ONLY if you did not cut the extra length off

from the wires coming from the ceiling fan.

WARNING: The locking slots of ceiling canopy are provided only

as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly unattended

until all four canopy screws are engaged and rmly tightened.

□ Carefully unhook the fan from the mounting bracket (A) and

align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy (C) with the two

screws in the mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage the

slots and turn clockwise to lock in place. Immediately tighten

the two mounting screws rmly.

□ Install the two mounting screws (HH) and lock washers (GG)

(saved from Assembly Step 1 “Prepairing for mounting” into

the holes in the canopy (C) and tighten rmly.

□ You may now proceed to attaching the fan blades.

WARNING: The locking slots of ceiling canopy are provided only

as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly unattended

until all four canopy screws are engaged and rmly tightened.

WARNING: Remove the rubber motor stops on the bottom of

the fan before installing the blades or testing the motor.

□ Attach a blade (J) to a blade bracket (I) using the

screws (FF) provided. Please note that the rubber

washers are pre-attached to the blade bracket (I).

Insert a screw into the blade bracket (I). Repeat for

the two remaining screws (FF).

□ Tighten each screw securely.

□ Fasten the blade assembly to the motor by inserting the

alignment post into the slot on the bottom of the motor

and tighten the motor screws. Please note that the

motor screws are pre-attached into the blade arm.

□ Repeat for the remaining blades.

□ Fasten the blade bracket (I) to the motor (F) by

inserting the alignment post into the slot on

the bottom of the fan-motor assembly (F) and

tightening the motor screws.

□ Repeat for the remaining four blade brackets (I).

□ Remove the three screws (QQ) from the light kit tter

assembly (G).

□ Connect the wires exiting the bottom of the motor

assembly (F) by connecting the molded adaptor plugs

together (blue to blue, and white to white).

□ Slide the light kit (G) and secure it to the switch

housing using the three screws (QQ) that were

removed in the rst step.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric

shock, disconnect the electrical supply

circuit to the fan before installing the light

kit.

NOTE: Your fan features revolutionary

installation, including an alignment post and

captive blade bracket screws.

Attaching the glass shades

and bulbs

□ With power off, screw the LED bulbs (K) into the sockets and

then insert the glass shade (H) into the light kit.

□ Attach the pull chain extensions (BB) to the light pull chain

and fan pull chain.

CAUTION: Make sure the power is off before attaching or

removing the glass shade.

WARNING: Allow the bulb to cool completely before removing.

Operation

Turn on the power and check the operation of the fan. The pull

chain controls the fan speeds as follows:

1 pull - High, 2 pulls - Medium, 3 pulls - Low, 4 pulls - off

The appropriate speed settings for warm or cool weather depends

on factors such as the room size, ceiling height, and number of

fans.

The slide switch (XX) controls the direction of the blades:

Forward (switch left) or Reverse (switch right).

A. Warm weather - (Forward) A downward airow creates a cooling

effect. This allows you to set your air conditioner on a warmer setting

without affecting your comfort.

B. Cool weather - (Reverse) An upward airow moves warm air off

of the ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit on a cooler

setting without affecting your comfort.

NOTE: Wait for the fan to stop before reversing the direction of

blade rotation.

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution

The fan will not start. □ Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.

□ Check the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing.

The fan is noisy. □ Ensure all motor housing screws are snug.

□ Ensure the screws that attach the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are tight.

□ Ensure the wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch housing.

□ Allow a 24-hour “breaking in” period. Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this time.

□ If you are using the Ceiling Fan light kit, ensure the screws securing the glassware are tight. Check that the light

bulbs are also secure.

□ Ensure the canopy is a short distance from the ceiling. It should not touch the ceiling.

□ Ensure your outlet box is secure and rubber isolator pads were used between the mounting plate and outlet box.

The fan wobbles. □ Check that all blade and blade arm screws are secure.

□ Most fan wobble problems are caused when blade levels are unequal. Check this level by selecting a point on the

ceiling above the tip of one of the blades. Measure from a point on the center of each blade to the point on the

ceiling. Measure this distance. Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement. Repeat for each

blade. Any measurement deviation should be within 1/8 in. Run the fan for ten minutes. If the fan continues to

wobble please contact Customer Service and a balancing kit will be sent to you at no charge.

□ Because of the fan’s natural movement, some connections may become loose. Check the support connections, brackets, and blade

attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.

□ Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years. Do not use water when cleaning, as this could damage

the motor, or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock. Use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the nish. The

plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or tarnishing.

□ You can apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood for additional protection and enhanced beauty. Cover small scratches with a

light application of shoe polish.

□ You do not need to oil your fan. The motor has permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings.

WARNING: Make sure the power is off before cleaning

your fan.

1. Todo el cableado tiene que cumplir con el Código Nacional

ADVERTENCIA:

el soporte de lámparas pueden no servir como soporte de

ventilador y tal vez deban reemplazarse. En caso de duda,

consulta a un electricista calicado.

Si tu ventilador de techo no tiene una caja de montaje aprobada

por UL, instala una siguiendo las instrucciones a continuación:

□ Desconecta la energía retirando los fusibles o apagando los

cortacircuitos.

□ Asegura la caja eléctrica directamente a la estructura de

la edicación. Usa sujetadores y materiales apropiados.

La caja eléctrica y su soporte tienen que ser aptos para

sostener completamente el peso en movimiento del

ventilador (al menos 35 lb: 15.9 kg). No uses una caja

eléctrica de plástico.

Las ilustraciones más abajo muestran tres formas distintas de

montar la caja eléctrica.

Si la cubierta toca el tubo bajante, retira la tapa inferior de la cubierta

y gira la cubierta 180º antes de jarla a la placa de montaje.

Para colgar el ventilador donde haya una lámpara, pero ninguna viga

de techo, tal vez necesites una barra colgante como se muestra más

arriba (disponible en cualquier tienda de The Home Depot).

NOTA:

Tal vez necesites un tubo bajante más largo para

mantener la altura mínima adecuada de las aspas al instalar

el ventilador en un techo inclinado. El ángulo máximo

permitido es 30º desde la horizontal.

Preparación para el montaje

□ Aoja, sin quitarlos, los dos tornillos de jación (RR) del

collarín (TT) ubicados en la parte superior de la carcasa del

motor.

□ Alinea los oricios en la parte inferior del tubo bajante (B)

con los oricios en el collarín (TT) en la parte superior de la

carcasa de motor.

□ Inserta con cuidado el pasador de soporte (DD) a través

de los oricios del collarín (TT) y del tubo bajante (B).

Ten cuidado de no forzar el pasador de soporte (DD) contra

el cableado dentro del tubo bajante (B).

□ Inserta el pasador de cierre (EE) en el oricio cercano al

extremo del pasador de soporte (DD) hasta encajarlo en su

posición.

□ Vuelve a apretar los dos tornillos de jación (RR) del

collarín (TT) ubicados en la parte superior de la carcasa

del motor.

□ Retira el aro (D) de la cubierta (C), girándolo a la izquierda

hasta dejarlo suelto.

□ Retira el soporte de montaje (A) de la cubierta (C) aojando

sus dos tornillos (HH) ubicados en las ranuras en L.

□ Quita y guarda los dos tornillos de la cubierta (HH) y las

arandelas de seguridad (GG) en los oricios redondos.

Esto te permitirá retirar el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Inserta los cables que salen por la parte superior del

motor del ventilador (F) a través de la cubierta del

acoplador (E) y del aro de la cubierta (D).

□ Asegura que las ranuras estén en la parte superior,

pasa los cables a través de la cubierta (C) y enseguida

a través del conjunto del tubo bajante/bola (B).

ADVERTENCIA:

Si no instalas correctamente el pasador de cierre

es posible que el ventilador se aoje y caiga.

Cómo jar el ventilador a la caja eléctrica

□ Pasa los cables de suministro de 120 V a través del oricio

central en el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Instala el soporte de montaje en techo sobre la caja eléctrica

deslizando el soporte (A) sobre los dos tornillos (LL) incluidos

con la caja eléctrica. Si es necesario, usa arandelas niveladoras

(no incluidas) entre el soporte de montaje (A) y la caja eléctrica.

Fíjate en que el lado plano del soporte de montaje (A) quede

apuntando hacia la caja eléctrica. Cuando instales cerca del

techo, es importante que el soporte de montaje esté nivelado.

□ Ajusta rmemente los dos tornillos de montaje (LL).

□ Retira el aro (D) de la cubierta (C), girándolo a la izquierda

hasta dejarlo suelto.

□ Retira el soporte de montaje (A) de la cubierta (C) aojando sus

dos tornillos (HH) ubicados en las ranuras en L.

□ Quita y guarda los dos tornillos de la cubierta (HH) en los

oricios redondos. Esto te permitirá retirar el soporte de

montaje (A).

□ Retira la cubierta inferior decorativa (M) de la cubierta (C)

presionando los tres pernos.

□ Retira tres de los seis tornillos (JJ) y arandelas de

seguridad (KK) (alternos) que sujetan el collarín del motor

a la parte superior de su carcasa (F).

□ Coloca la junta de goma (AA) sobre los otros tres tornillos e

inserta los cables que salen por la parte superior del motor de

ventilador (F) a través del aro de la cubierta (D). Asegura que

la abertura de ranura esté hacia arriba y enseguida procede

a colocar la cubierta de techo (C) sobre el collarín en la parte

superior del motor (F).

□ Alinea los oricios de montaje con los oricios del motor (F)

y asegura con los tres tornillos (JJ) y arandelas de seguridad

(KK) retirados anteriormente. Aprieta bien los tornillos.

Cómo colgar el ventilador

Cómo realizar las conexiones eléctricas

IMPORTANTE:

Usa los conectores de cables plásticos (CC) incluidos con

tu ventilador. Sujeta los conectores con cinta de electricista y asegura

que no haya conexiones ni cables sueltos.

ADVERTENCIA:

Cada cable no incluido con este ventilador debe estar

diseñado para aceptar hasta un cable eléctrico doméstico calibre 12 y

dos cables del ventilador. Si tienes un cableado doméstico que exceda

del calibre 12 o más de un cable doméstico para conectar al cableado

del ventilador, consulta a un electricista sobre el tamaño adecuado de las

tuercas para cables a usar.

□ Con cuidado, levanta el conjunto motor-ventilador (F) hasta el

soporte de montaje deslizante (A).

□ Inserta la bola de soporte del ensamblaje del tubo bajante/bola

en el casquillo del soporte de montaje deslizante.

□ Gira el conjunto tubo bajante/bola hacia la derecha hasta

que encaje con la pestaña del soporte de montaje deslizante

alineada con la ranura de la bola.

□ Si usas el montaje "cerca del cielo raso", cuelga el ventilador

del gancho suministrado, usando uno de los oricios redondos

en el borde exterior de la cubierta de techo (C).

ADVERTENCIA:

El gancho (OO) se usa sólo para sostener el ventilador

mientras se hacen las conexiones eléctricas. Si no se cuelga como se

muestra, puede romperse el gancho (OO) y el ventilador se caerá.

El gancho debe pasar de adentro hacia fuera de la cubierta.

ADVERTENCIA:

Al colgar el ventilador en el gancho (OO) hay que

usar uno de los oricios sin ranura (redondos) de la cubierta (C).

□ El ventilador viene con cables terminales de (30 plg) 76.2 cm para usar

con un conjunto extendido de tubo bajante/bola. Si usas el conjunto

extendido de tubo bajante/bola (B) de 4.5 plg (11.4 cm) incluido,

puedes recortar los cables terminales al largo deseado (no menos

de 12 plg: 30.5 cm). Esto dejará más espacio en la cubierta (C).

Si no quieres cortar los cables, deberás enrollarlos cuidadosamente.

□ Conecta los cables verdes del motor del ventilador a los cables verde

o pelado del hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de cables (CC).

□ Conecta el cable blanco del motor del ventilador al cable blanco del

hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de cables (CC).

□ Conecta los cables negro o azul del motor del ventilador al cable negro

del hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de cables (CC).

□ Asegura cada tuerca de conexión de cables con cinta de electricista.

□ Gira la tuerca de conexión de cables (CC) hacia arriba y empuja el

cableado dentro de la caja eléctrica (MM).

NOTA:

El ventilador viene con cables terminales de (30 plg) 76.2 cm para

usar con el conjunto extendido de tubo bajante/bola. Si usas el conjunto

extendido de tubo bajante/bola (B) de 4.5 plg (11.4 cm) incluido, puedes

recortar los cables terminales al largo deseado (no menos de 12 plg: 30.5 cm).

□ Alinea las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta de techo (C) con

los dos tornillos del soporte de montaje (A). Empuja hacia

arriba para enganchar las ranuras y gira hacia la derecha para

asegurar en su sitio.

□ Ajusta rmemente los dos tornillos de montaje.

□ Instala los dos tornillos de montaje (HH) y las arandelas de

seguridad (GG) (guardados en el paso 1 del ensamblaje, ver

“Cómo preparar la instalación”) en los oricios de la cubierta (C)

y apriétalos rmemente.

ADVERTENCIA:

Cuando uses el montaje estándar del tubo bajante/bola,

la pestaña en el aro de la parte inferior del soporte de montaje tiene que

encajar en la ranura de la bola de soporte. Si la pestaña no se asienta

correctamente en la ranura, se puede dañar el cableado.

Cómo enrollar el cable sobrante

□ Con cuidado, enrolla el exceso de cable alrededor del soporte

de montaje.

□ Asegura con cinta de electricista.

NOTA:

Sigue estos pasos SOLO si no cortaste el cable sobrante

del ventilador de techo.

ADVERTENCIA:

Las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta del techo solo sirven

de ayuda durante la instalación. No dejes sin atención el ensamblaje del

ventilador hasta que los cuatro tornillos de la cubierta estén engranados

y rmemente ajustados.

□ Con cuidado, desengancha el ventilador del soporte de

montaje (A) y alinea las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta del

techo (C) con los dos tornillos en el soporte (A). Empuja hacia

arriba para enganchar las ranuras y gira hacia la derecha para

asegurar en su sitio. Inmediatamente aprieta rmemente los

dos tornillos de montaje.

□ Instala los dos tornillos de montaje (HH) y las arandelas de

seguridad (GG) (guardados en el paso 1 del ensamblaje, ver

“Cómo preparar la instalación”) en los oricios de la cubierta (C)

y apriétalos rmemente.

□ Ahora puedes jar las aspas del ventilador.

ADVERTENCIA:

Las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta del techo solo sirven

de ayuda durante la instalación. No dejes sin atención el ensamblaje del

ventilador hasta que los cuatro tornillos de la cubierta estén engranados

y rmemente ajustados.

Cómo jar las aspas

ADVERTENCIA:

Quita los tapones de goma del motor en la parte

inferior del ventilador antes de instalar las aspas o comprobar el

funcionamiento del motor.

□ Fija un aspa (J) a su soporte (I) con los tornillos (FF)

incluidos. Ten en cuenta que las arandelas de goma

están preinstaladas en el soporte del aspa (I).

Inserta un tornillo en el soporte del aspa (I). Repite el

procedimiento con los dos tornillos restantes (FF).

□ Aprieta rmemente todos los tornillos.

□ Ajusta el ensamblaje del aspa al motor insertando el

poste de alineación dentro de la ranura de la parte

inferior del motor y apretando sus tornillos. Ten en

cuenta que los tornillos del motor están preinstalados

en el brazo del aspa.

□ Repite el procedimiento con las aspas restantes.

Cómo jar el soporte de aspas

al ventilador

□ Sujeta el soporte del aspa (I) al motor (F)

insertando el poste de alineación dentro de

la ranura de la parte inferior del conjunto

motor-ventilador (F) y ajustando los tornillos

del motor.

□ Repite este procedimiento con los cuatro soportes

de aspas (I) restantes.

Ensamblaje - Cómo instalar el kit de luces

Cómo instalar el kit de luces

□ Quita los tres tornillos (QQ) del conjunto del soporte del

kit de luces (G).

□ Conecta los cables que salen de la parte inferior

del conjunto del motor (F) uniendo los enchufes con

adaptadores moldeados (azul con azul y blanco con

blanco).

□ Desliza el conjunto del kit de luces (G) y asegúralo a la

caja del interruptor usando los tres tornillos (QQ) que se

quitaron en el primer paso.

ADVERTENCIA:

Para disminuir el riesgo de

descarga eléctrica, desconecta el circuito de

energía del ventilador antes de instalar el kit de

luces.

NOTA:

Tu ventilador cuenta con avances novedosos

para facilitar y acelerar la instalación de las aspas,

incluyendo un poste de alineación y tornillos jos

para el soporte de aspa.

Cómo instalar las pantallas de vidrio

y las bombillas

□ Con la corriente desconectada, instala las bombillas LED (K) en

los portabombillas e inserta enseguida la pantalla de vidrio (H)

en el kit de luces.

□ Fija las extensiones de los interruptores de cadena (BB) a los

interruptores de cadena de la lámpara y del ventilador.

PRECAUCIÓN:

Asegura que la corriente esté cortada antes de montar

o retirar la pantalla de vidrio.

ADVERTENCIA:

Espera a que las bombillas se enfríen completamente

antes de cambiarlas.

Funcionamiento

Enciende la electricidad y comprueba el funcionamiento del

ventilador. El interruptor de cadena controla las velocidades del

ventilador de la siguiente manera:

1 vez: alta, 2 veces: media, 3 veces: baja y 4 veces: apagado.

Las conguraciones de velocidad apropiadas para clima cálido o frío

dependen de factores como tamaño de la habitación, altura del techo

y cantidad de ventiladores.

El interruptor deslizante (XX) controla el sentido de giro de las aspas:

Adelante (hacia la izquierda) o en reversa (hacia la derecha).

A. Clima cálido - (Hacia adelante) Un ujo de aire descendente surte

efecto refrescante. Esto te permite congurar tu equipo de aire

acondicionado a temperatura más alta sin afectar tu comodidad.

B. Clima frío - (Reversa) Un ujo de aire hacia arriba desplaza el aire

cálido lejos del cielo raso. Esto te permite congurar la unidad de

calefacción a más baja temperatura sin afectar tu comodidad.

NOTA:

Espera a que se detenga el ventilador antes de invertir la

dirección de giro de las aspas.

□ Verica los fusibles o cortacircuitos principales y secundarios.

□ Verica las conexiones de cables tanto en línea con el ventilador como en el interruptor de la caja

correspondiente.

El ventilador

hace ruido.

□ Asegura que todos los tornillos de la carcasa del motor estén ajustados.

□ Asegura que los tornillos que unen el soporte de aspa al cuerpo del motor estén bien apretados.

□ Asegura que las conexiones de tuerca de cable no choquen unas con otras ni con la pared interior de la caja del

interruptor.

□ Deja que transcurra un período de “adaptación” de 24 horas. En ese período desaparecen la mayoría de los

ruidos asociados a un ventilador nuevo.

□ Si usas el kit de luces de ventilador de techo, asegura que los tornillos que sujetan el vidrio estén bien apretados.

Verica que las bombillas estén igualmente aseguradas.

□ Asegura que la cubierta esté a corta distancia del techo. No debe tocar el techo.

□ Asegura que la caja eléctrica quede bien ajustada y que se hayan instalado almohadillas aislantes de goma entre

la placa de montaje y la caja eléctrica.

El ventilador

oscila.

□ Verica que todas las aspas y los tornillos de sus brazos estén bien ajustados.

□ La mayoría de los problemas de oscilación del ventilador se deben a que las aspas no están al mismo nivel.

Verica este nivel seleccionando un punto en el techo sobre la punta de una de las aspas. Mide desde un punto

en el centro de cada aspa al punto en el cielo raso. Mide esta distancia. Gira el ventilador hasta que la siguiente

aspa quede en posición para medir. Repite el procedimiento con cada aspa. Las desviaciones de la medición

no deben pasar de 0.3 cm. Enciende el ventilador durante diez minutos. Si el ventilador continúa oscilando,

comunícate con el servicio al cliente y te enviarán un kit de compensación de aspas, sin costo alguno.

□ Debido al movimiento natural del ventilador, algunas conexiones pueden aojarse. Revisa dos veces al año las conexiones de soporte,

los soportes y los accesorios de las aspas. Comprueba que estén seguros. No es necesario desmontar el ventilador del techo.

□ Limpia el ventilador con frecuencia para que luzca como nuevo al paso de los años. No uses agua al limpiar. Esto puede dañar el motor o la
