controls or who has sensory deficiencies in the lower half of their body.

Instructions for Use
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug
in any way.
This mat is powered by and comes with a UL-approved cord. Untie cord strap,
extend cord and insert plug into 120-volt household electrical outlet to power unit.
Place the mat on any flat surface in your house for a luxurious massage.
See pages 6-7 for instructions on the use of the hand control.
Pillow
The Masseur In-A-Box Portable Massage Mat comes with a pillow that is vacuum
packed and stored in the back pocket of the mat. Just slide the pillow out and
open the vacuum pack; the pillow will fluff and become a comfortable head rest.
Place it on the upper end of the mat and adjust as needed.
Note - This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for
Class B digital devices, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio or television reception,
which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is
encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following
measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and the receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the
receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Note - The manufacturer is not responsible for any radio or TV interference
caused by unauthorized modifications to this equipment. Such modifications
could void the user authority to operate the equipment.
Maintenance
To store
Fold the power cord and tie with strap and place the cord in the small pocket
on the back of the mat. Insert the hand control in the pocket located on the
side of the mat. Slide the pillow into the big pocket on the back of the mat.
Use Fold & Hold™ system to fold the mat and store it in a safe, dry, cool place
(see Figure 1.)
Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed objects which
might cut or puncture the fabric surface. To avoid
breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit.
Do not pull the unit by the hand control cord.
To clean
Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning.
Clean only with a soft, slightly damp sponge.
• Never allow water or any other liquids to come into
contact with the unit.
• Do not immerse in any liquid to clean.
• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline,
kerosene, glass/furniture polish or paint thinner to
clean.
• Do not attempt to repair the Therapeutic Body Mat.
There are no user serviceable parts. For services,
send the unit to the HoMedics address listed in the warranty section.

Rolling Massage
Rolling is like two hands or thumbs working up and
down along your spine
Rolling Programs
Choose from 3 preset programs where the Rolling
massage travels up and down in a specific area of the
back. To select a program, simply press the button and
the LED will illuminate. To deselect, press the button
again or press another button.
Partial
While the Rolling massage is moving at the area of the
back you want to focus on, press either button. The
massage heads will move up and down only in that
particular area of the back. Press arrows to adjust the
massage action up or down.
Width Adjustment
While the unit is in Rolling massage, press this button to
adjust the distance or width between the massage
heads. This adjustment changes the area that is
massaged along your spine. With each press, the
massage heads will move to the next available position.
Heat
For soothing heat when massage is on, simply press the
heat button and the corresponding red L.E.D. light will
illuminate. To deselect, press the button again and the
corresponding L.E.D. light will turn off. For your safety,
heat cannot be turned on if no massage program is
selected.

Demo Button
For a demonstration of the features of the portable
massage mat, press the Demo button.
The unit will briefly go through each function.
Once complete, the unit automatically turns off.
The corresponding L.E.D. light will blink to indicate
the active functions.
Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu is a deep kneading circular massage
Shiatsu Programs
Choose from 3 preset programs where the Shiatsu
massage travels up and down in a specific area of
the back. To select a program, simply press the
button and the L.E.D will illuminate. To deselect,
press the button again or press another button.
Spot Shiatsu
While the unit is in Shiatsu massage, press either
button to stop and focus the Shiatsu action in one
place. Once the unit is operating in Spot Shiatsu,
you may adjust the mechanism position by
holding down either button until the desired
position is reached.
The Up Arrow will move the mechanism upwards
and the Down Arrow will move it down. Once you
release the button, the mechanism will stop in that
place.
Power Button
To turn on the massage functions, first press the
Power button. The L
.E.D indicator will illuminate
and confirm your selection. To turn off the
massage functions, simply press the button again.
The L.E.D. indicator will blink while the massage
mechanism returns to its highest point and then it
will turn off.
NOTE: There is a 15-minute auto shut off
on the unit for your safety.

LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY
HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for
a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. HoMedics warrants that its
products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty
extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, mail the product and your dated sales receipt
(as proof of purchase), postpaid, to the following address:

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer
purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the
terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the
attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized
repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction
or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation
damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is
at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond
the control of HoMedics.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product
is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country
than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products
damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE
NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY
OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS
COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL
OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR
REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE
PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE
MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS
IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.
This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or resealed products,
including but not limited to sale of such products on Internet auction sites and/or sales of such products by
surplus or bulk r
esellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate as to
any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified, without the prior express
and written consent of HoMedics.
This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights which may vary from

Instrucciones de uso
Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, este artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado
(una paleta es más ancha que la otra). Este enchufe encaja de una sola forma en un
tomacorriente polarizado. Si el enchufe no encaja completamente en el tomacorriente,

Cojín
La colchoneta Masseur In-A-Box trae un cojín empacado al vacío y almacenado en el
bolsillo posterior de la colchoneta. Simplemente saque el cojín y abra el paquete al vacío;
el cojín se desplegará transformándose en un cómodo descanso para la cabeza.
Colóquelo en el extremo superior de la colchoneta y

causar interferencias dañinas a las comunicaciones radio. Sin embargo, no hay garantías de
que dichas interferencias no se produzcan en una instalación particular. Si este equipo causara
interferencias dañinas a la recepción de radio o televisión, lo que puede determinarse
encendiendo y apagando el equipo, se anima el usuario a que trate de corregir la interferencia
con uno o más de los siguientes procedimientos:
• Volver a orientar y ubicar la antena receptora.
• Aumentar la distancia entre el equipo y el receptor.
• Conectar el equipo a un tomacorriente eléctrico de un circuito
diferente de aquel donde está conectado el receptor.
• Consultar con el representante o con un técnico experto de
radio/TV para recibir ayuda.
Atención: El fabricante no es responsable por ninguna interferencia de
radio o TV causada por modificaciones no autorizadas de este equipo.
Dichas modificaciones pueden anular el derecho del usuario al uso de
este equipo.
Mantenimiento
Para guardar
Enrolle el cordón eléctrico, amárrelo con la correa y colóquelo en el
bolsillo pequeño detrás de la colchoneta. Ponga el control manual
en el bolsillo lateral de la colchoneta. Ponga el cojín en el bolsillo
grande detrás de la colchoneta.
Use el sistema Fold & Hold™ para doblar y guardar la alfombra en un lugar seguro,
seco y fresco (ver Figura 1).
Evite el contacto con bordes filosos u objetos punzantes que puedan cortar o perforar la
superficie de tela. Para evitar roturas, no envuelva el cordón eléctrico alrededor de la
unidad. No cuelgue la unidad del cable del control manual.
Para limpiar
Desenchufe la unidad y deje que se enfríe antes de limpiarla. Limpie únicamente con una
esponja suave, apenas humedecida.
• Nunca permita que el agua ni otro líquido entre en contacto con la unidad.
• No sumerja en ningún líquido para limpiar.
• No use nunca limpiadores abrasivos, cepillos, gasolina, queroseno, productos para
brillar vidrio o muebles o adelgazadores de pinturas, para hacer la limpieza.
• No trate de reparar la colchoneta Therapeutic Body Mat. No hay piezas que necesiten
servicio. Por servicio, envíe la unidad a la dirección de HoMedics que se detalla en la
sección de garantía.

Masaje Rodante
El masaje rodante es como dos manos o pulgares trabajando
hacia arriba y abajo sobre su columna
Programas de Masaje Rodante
Escoja entre los 3 programas preestablecidos en los cuales
el masaje Rodante se desplaza hacia arriba y hacia abajo en
un área específica de la espalda. Para seleccionar un
programa, simplemente oprima el botón y el L.E.D. se
ilumina. Para deseleccionar, presione el botón otra vez
o presione otro botón.
Parcial
Mientras el masaje rodante se desplaza al área de la espalda
que usted desea tratar, oprima uno de los dos botones.
Las cabezas de masaje se desplazan hacia arriba y hacia abajo
en ese área específica de la espalda. Oprima las flechas para
ajustar la acción de masaje hacia arriba y hacia abajo.
Ajuste de Ancho
Con la unidad en Masaje Rodante, presione este botón para
ajustar la distancia, o el ancho entre las cabezas
masajeadoras. Este ajuste cambia el área que está siendo
masajeada a lo largo de su columna. Cada vez que usted
presiona el botón, las cabezas se desplazan a la siguiente
posición disponible.
Calor
Para un calor suave, cuando el masaje esté encendido,
simplemente presione el botón de calor y la luz L.E.D. roja
correspondiente se enciende. P
ara anular la selección, vuelva
a presionar el botón y la luz L.E.D. correspondiente se apaga.
Por su seguridad, el calor no puede encenderse sin haber
seleccionado un programa de masaje.
Botón de demostración
Para una breve demostración de las características de
la colchoneta masajeadora portátil, presione el botón
de demostración (DEMO). La unidad pasará
rápidamente por cada función. Una vez completada,
la unidad se apaga automáticamente. La luz LED
empieza a parpadear para indicar las funciones
activas.
Masaje shiatsu
Shiatsu es un masaje con movimiento circular en
profundidad.
Programas Shiatsu
Escoja ente los 3 programas preestablecidos en los
cuales el masaje Shiatsu se desplaza hacia arriba
y hacia abajo en un área específica de la espalda.
Para seleccionar un programa, simplemente presione
el botón y el L.E.D
. se ilumina. Para deseleccionar,
presione el botón otra vez o presione otro botón.
Masaje Schiatsu localizado
Con la unidad actuando en masaje Shiatsu, presione
cualquiera de los dos botones para parar y concentrar
la acción Shiatsu en un solo lugar
. Una vez que la
unidad está funcionando en Shiatsu Localizado
(Spot Shiatsu), usted puede ajustar la posición del
mecanismo manteniendo presionado cualquiera de los
dos botones hasta alcanzar la posición deseada.
La
flecha hacia arriba (Up Arrow) desplaza el
mecanismo hacia arriba y la flecha hacia abajo
(Down Arrow) lo desplaza hacia abajo. Cuando usted
suelta el botón, el mecanismo se detiene en el lugar
donde se encuentra.
Botón “Power” de encendido
Para encender las funciones de masaje, presione
primero el botón POWER (encendido). El indicador

.D. se iluminará y confirmará su selección.

ara apagar las funciones de masaje, simplemente
presione el botón una vez más. El indicador L

posición más baja y luego se apaga.
