from any physical ailment that would limit the user’s capacity to
operate the controls or who has sensory deficiencies in the lower
half of their body.
• This unit should not be used by children or invalids without adult
supervision.
• This product is not for use in automobiles.
Instructions for Use
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug
(one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper
outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
This mat is powered by and comes with a UL-approved cord.
Untie cord strap, extend cord and insert plug into 120-volt household
electrical outlet to power unit.
Place the mat on any hard, flat surface in your house for a
luxurious massage.
See pages 6-7 for instructions on the use of the hand control.
Pillow
The Back Reliever Rx Therapeutic Body Mat comes with a pillow that is
vacuum packed and stored in the back pocket of the mat. Just slide
the pillow out and open the vacuum pack; the pillow will fluff and
become a comfortable head rest. Place it on the upper end of the mat
and adjust as needed.
Maintenance
To store
Fold the power cord and tie with strap and
place the cord in the small pocket on the
back of the mat. Insert the hand control in
the pocket located on the side of the mat.
Slide the pillow into the big pocket on the
back of the mat.
Use Fold & Hold™ system to fold the mat
and store it in a safe, dry, cool place (see
Figure 1.)
Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed
objects which might cut or puncture the
fabric surface. To avoid breakage, do not
wrap the power cord around the unit. Do not
pull the unit by the hand control cord.
To clean
Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before
cleaning. Clean only with a soft, slightly
damp sponge.
• Never allow water or any other liquids to come into contact with the
unit.
• Do not immerse in any liquid to clean.
• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene,
glass/furniture polish or paint thinner to clean.
• Do not attempt to repair the Therapeutic Body Mat. There are no
user serviceable parts. For services, send the unit to the HoMedics
address listed in the warranty section.
NOTE: Cleaning instructions apply to the unit
and removable flap.

Legs
To choose invigorating vibration leg massage,
press this button. Vibration will turn on in Low (L)
intensity and the corresponding L.E.D. will
illuminate. To change the intensity, continue to
press the button and the unit will cycle through
Medium (M), High (H) and then off.
NOTE: When selecting the leg vibration
feature with the Rolling massaging action,
there might be a slight decrease in the
vibration strength. This adjustment is
perfectly normal and should not be
interpreted as a defect.
NOTE: There is a 15-minute auto shut off
on the unit for your safety.
Power Button
To turn on the
massage functions,
first press the POWER
button. The L.E.D.
indicator will illuminate
and confirm your
selection. To turn off
the massage
functions, simply press
the button again. The
L.E.D. indicator will
blink while the rolling
massage mechanism
returns to its highest
point and then it will
turn off.
NOTE: the Rolling
massage
mechanism always
“parks” or finishes
in its highest
position. It will
continue to this
position after the
power has been
turned off. If the
electrical supply is
interrupted, when
power is restored,
the mechanism will
“park” or move to
its highest position.
Programs
Choose from 3 preset
programs where the
Rolling massage travels
up and down in a specific
area of the back. To
select a program, simply
press the button and the
LED will illuminate. To
deselect, press the
button again. With each
press, the massage
heads will move to the
next preset area of the
back (the programs go
through the cycles of Full
Back, Upper Back and
Lower Back).

While the Rolling

LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY
HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for
a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. HoMedics warrants that its
products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty
extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, mail the product and your dated sales receipt
(as proof of purchase), postpaid, to the following address:

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer
purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the
terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the
attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized
repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction
or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation
damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is
at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond
the control of HoMedics.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product
is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country
than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products
damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE
NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY
OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS
COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL
OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR
REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE
PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE

Instrucciones de uso
Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, este artefacto tiene un enchufe
polarizado (una paleta es más ancha que la otra). Este enchufe encaja de
una sola forma en un tomacorriente polarizado. Si el enchufe no encaja
completamente en el tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe. Si aún así no
encaja, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado para que instale
el tomacorriente adecuado. NO cambie el enchufe en modo alguno.
Esta alfombra viene equipada con y se alimenta por medio de, un cable
homologado por UL. Desate la cinta del cable, extienda el cable e inserte
el enchufe en un tomacorriente doméstico de 120 voltios para alimentar
la unidad.
Coloque la alfombra sobre cualquier superficie dura y plana en su casa,
para obtener un masaje de lujo.

Cojín
La alfombra Back Reliever Rx Therapeutic Body Mat trae un cojín
empacado al vacío y almacenado en el bolsillo posterior de la alfombra.
Simplemente saque el cojín y abra el paquete al vacío; el cojín se
desplegará transformándose en un cómodo descanso para la cabeza.
Colóquelo en el extremo superior de la alfombra y ajústelo según lo desea.
Mantenimiento
Para guardar
Enrolle el cordón eléctrico, amárrelo con la
correa y colóquelo en el bolsillo pequeño
detrás de la alfombra. Ponga el control
manual en el bolsillo lateral de la alfombra.
Ponga el cojín en el bolsillo grande detrás
de la alfombra.
Use el sistema Fold & Hold™ para doblar
y guardar la alfombra en un lugar seguro,
seco y fresco (ver Figura 1).
Evite el contacto con bordes filosos u objetos
punzantes que puedan cortar o perforar la
superficie la tela que lo recubre. Para evitar
roturas, no envuelva el cordón eléctrico
alrededor de la unidad. No cuelgue la unidad
del cable del controlador.
Para limpiar
Desenchufe la unidad y deje que se enfríe
antes de limpiarla. Limpie únicamente con
una esponja suave, apenas humedecida.
• Nunca permita que el agua ni otro líquido
entre en contacto con la unidad.
• No sumerja en ningún líquido para limpiar.
• No use nunca limpiadores abrasivos, cepillos, gasolina, queroseno,
productos para brillar vidrio o muebles o adelgazadores de pinturas,
para hacer la limpieza.
• No trate de reparar la alfombra Therapeutic Body Mat. No hay piezas
que necesiten servicio. Por servicio, envíe la unidad a la dirección de
HoMedics que se detalla en la sección de garantía.

Legs (Piernas)
Para seleccionar un masaje vigorizante vibratorio
del área de las piernas, presione este botón.
La vibración se enciende con intensidad baja
(L) y el L.E.D. correspondiente se ilumina.
Para cambiar la intensidad, siga presionando
el botón y la unidad recorre el ciclo entre
Mediana (M), Alta (H) y luego se apaga (Off).
NOTA: Cuando seleccione la característica
de vibración de las piernas con el masaje
Rodante, habrá un leve descenso en la
intensidad de la vibración. Este ajuste
es perfectamente normal y no se debe
interpretar como un defecto.
NOTA: Para su seguridad, en la unidad
hay un apagado automático de 15 minutos.
Botón de
encendido
Para encender las
funciones de masaje,
presione primero el
botón de encendido
(POWER). El indicador
LED se iluminará y
confirmará su selección.
Para apagar las
funciones de masaje,
simplemente presione
el botón una vez más.
El indicador LED
destella mientras
el mecanismo de
masaje rodante vuelve
a su punto más alto,
y luego se apaga.
NOTA: El mecanismo
móvil de masaje
siempre se apaga
y termina en la
posición más alta.
Continuará en esta
posición después
de que haya apagado
la energía. Si se
interrumpe el
suministro eléctrico,
al restablecerse
la energía,
el mecanismo se
"estacionará” o se
moverá hacia su
posición más alta.
Programas
Escoja entre los
3 programas
preestablecidos en los
cuales el masaje Rodante
se desplaza hacia arriba
y hacia abajo en un área
específica de la espalda.
Para seleccionar un
programa, simplemente
oprima el botón y el
L.E.D. se ilumina.
Para deseleccionarlo,
oprima el botón otra vez.
Cada vez que oprime el
botón, las cabezas de
masaje se desplazan
a la siguiente área
preseleccionada de
la espalda (los programas
recorren los ciclos de F
ull
Back/espalda completa,
Upper Back/hombros y
Lower Back/región lumbar).
Partial (Parcial)
Mientras el masaje rodante
se desplaza al área de la
espalda que usted desea
tratar, oprima este botón.
Las cabezas de masaje
se desplazan hacia arriba
y hacia abajo en ese área
específica de la espalda.
Oprima las flechas para
ajustar la acción de masaje
hacia arriba y hacia abajo.
Cubierta removible
Retírela para lograr un masaje
más intenso de la espalda.
