purchaser must be made available for all Glacier Bay warranty claims.
This warranty excludes incidental/inconsequential damages and failures due to misuse, abuse or normal wear and tear. This warranty
excludes all industrial, commercial & business usage, whose purchaser are hereby, extended a five year limited warranty from the date of
purchase, with all other terms of this warranty applying except the duration of the warranty.

PLANNING INSTALLATION
This medicine cabinet is designed for recessed installation in a standard wall opening 14 in. wide, 24 in. or 34 in. high, and 3½ in (or more)
deep.
NOTE: A mounting kit is available for purchase from The Home Depot if you wish
to install this medicine cabinet directly to a wall. Model number GBF26.

Mounting the cabinet
NOTICE: Any electrical or plumbing obstructions should be removed
or relocated by qualified trade personnel in strict compliance with all
applicable building codes.
□ To replace an existing cabinet, remove the old cabinet and
verify that the wall opening is 14 in. wide, 24 in. high, and
3½ in. (or more) deep. Proceed to step 2 if these
dimensions are correct.
□ For a new installation, select a wall opening site that is
centered between wall studs that are positioned 16 in. on
center. Use a stud finder to locate the studs.
□ The center of the wall opening is commonly located 60 in.
above the floor. Alter this dimension to suit individual
needs or to facilitate clearance between the top or bottom
of the hinged mirror and obstacles such as counter top,
faucet, electrical outlet, light fixture, ceiling, etc.
□ Mark and cut the 14 in. wide x 24 in. high wall opening.
Use a level to ensure the cut lines are level before you
begin cutting the wall.
□ Place the cabinet in the wall opening with the top of the
cabinet body return flange held fully against the wall.
Noting that the mounting system inside the cabinet
positions the mounting screws (AA) at a 15° angle, install
two screws (AA) in the upper mounting holes inside the
cabinet. Use only the screws provided (do not use nails). Do
not fully tighten the screw heads into the nests at this time;
leave approximately ¼ in. of thread exposed. To assist with
the installation, mark and drill .078 in. diameter pilot holes
(at the 15° angle) into the studs and/or coat the screw
threads with soap.
□ Install two screws (AA) in the lower mounting holes. Leave
¼ in. of the thread exposed.
□ Some walls are not flat and plumb. Using a carpenter’s
level, adjust as necessary to level the cabinet as viewed
facing the cabinet and viewed from the side. Check the fit
of the cabinet door to the cabinet body flange. Correct any
gap between the door and body by shimming as necessary
between the wall and the body flange at the corner
diagonally opposite the gap. (Example: If the gap is
top/right, shim bottom/left). Adjust the shim thickness for
cross-axis alignment to achieve a satisfactory fit between
the door and body.
□ Tighten all four mounting screws (AA) until the screw heads
are just seated in their nests. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!

Care and Cleaning
□ The best and safest cleaner for a mirror is clean water used with a soft cloth.
□ Never spray anything directly onto a mirror. Instead, apply the cleaner to a soft cloth and then wipe the mirror.
□ Never use any acid, alkali, abrasive or ammonia-based cleaners; they are likely to destroy the mirror and will void the warranty.
□ Avoid drips and “puddling” at the mirror edge.
□ Thoroughly dry all mirror edges.
□ Medicine cabinets should be one of the last items installed in new construction to avoid contact with solvents, cleaners, etc.
□ In humid climates, install mirrors after air conditioning is operational.
□ Good ventilation will keep mirrors from “sweating” and creating harmful condensation.

Cómo montar el botiquín
A
VISO: Cualquier obstrucción eléctrica o de fontanería debe ser
retirada o reubicada por personal calificado en estricto cumplimiento

□ Para reemplazar un botiquín existente, retire el viejo botiquín y
compruebe que la abertura de la pared es de 14 pulg. de
ancho, 24 pulg. de alto, y 3½ pulg. (o más) de profundidad.
Proceda con el paso 2 si estas dimensiones son correctas.
□ Para una instalación nueva, seleccione un lugar de
abertura de pared que esté centrado entre montantes de
pared colocados a 16 pulg. en el centro. Use un localizador
de montantes para localizar los montantes.
□ El centro de la abertura de la pared generalmente se
localiza a 60 pulg. sobre el piso. Altere esta dimensión
para que se ajuste a las necesidades individuales o para
facilitar el espacio libre entre la parte superior o inferior del
espejo con bisagra y obstáculos como mostradores, grifos,
tomacorrientes, luminarias, techo, etc.
□ Marque y corte la abertura de la puerta a 14 pulg. de ancho x
24 pulg. de alto. Use un nivel para garantizar que las líneas de
corte estén niveladas antes de comenzar a cortar la pared.
□ Coloque el botiquín en la abertura de la pared con la parte
superior de la brida de retorno del cuerpo del botiquín

aproximadamente ¼ pulg. de rosca expuesta. Para ayudar a
la instalación, marque y perfore agujeros piloto de 0.078
pulg. de diámetro (al ángulo de 15°) en los montantes y/o
recubra las roscas de los tornillos con jabón.
□ Instale dos tornillos (AA) en los agujeros de montaje
inferiores. Deje ¼ pulg. de la rosca expuesta.
□ Algunas paredes no son planas y no están a plomo.
Utilizando un nivel de carpintero, ajuste según sea
necesario para nivelar el botiquín visto de frente y de los
lados. Revise el ajuste de la puerta del botiquín con la brida
del cuerpo del botiquín. Corrija cualquier espacio entre la
puerta y el cuerpo calzando según sea necesario entre la
pared y la brida del cuerpo en la esquina diagonalmente
opuesta al espacio. (Ejemplo: Si el espacio está
arriba/derecha, calce en el fondo/izquierda). Ajuste el
espesor de la calza para un alineamiento transversal para
lograr un ajuste satisfactorio entre la puerta y el cuerpo.
□ Apriete los cuatro tornillos de montaje (AA) hasta que las
cabezas de los tornillos estén justamente asentadas en sus
nidos. ¡NO APRIETE DEMASIADO!

Cuidado y limpieza
□ El mejor y más seguro limpiador para un espejo es agua limpia utilizada con un paño suave.
□ Nunca rocíe nada directamente sobre un espejo. En lugar de eso, aplique el limpiador a un paño suave y luego limpie el espejo.
□ Nunca use ningún ácido, álcali, abrasivo o limpiadores basados en amoníaco ya que probablemente destruirán el espejo y anulará la
garantía.
□ Evite gotas y la creación de charcos en el borde del espejo.
□ Seque completamente todos los bordes del espejo.
□ Los botiquines deben ser uno de los últimos artículos instalados en una construcción nueva para evitar el contacto con solventes,
limpiadores, etc.
□ En climas húmedos, instale los espejos despues de que el aire acondicionado esté funcionando.
