The LG TONE Studio (HBS-W120) is a lightweight wireless stereo headset that uses Bluetooth
technology.
This product can be used as an audio accessory for devices supporting either the A2DP or Hands-Free
Bluetooth prole.

If the communication network of the device you are connecting to supports “HD Voice Calling,”
you can make voice calls in high denition.

HBS-W120 Pairing and Connecting
You can easily pair and connect the device following the voice prompts
from the earbuds or the speaker.
If you hear that the battery is insufcient, recharge the battery before
proceeding with pairing.
If pairing is not completed within three minutes, power automatically turns
off.
When power automatically turns off, slide the Power switch from the
OFF to the ON position to turn power on again.

Connecting Manually (connecting to other devices or reconnecting)

the ON position to turn it on.
2 The blue Indicator lamp turns on and HBS-W120 switches
to Search mode.
3 Select LG HBSW120 from the device list to connect.
Multiple Connections
HBS-W120 can be connected to two devices like a mobile phone and a PC, etc., and used on them
simultaneously.
An additional device can be connected while HBS-W120 is connected to one device.
1 Press and hold the Call button and slide the Power switch to the ON position to turn it on.
2 The blue Indicator lamp turns on and HBS-W120 switches to Search mode.
3 From the mobile phone or device list, select LG HBSW120 to connect.
4 A voice message will indicate that the connection is completed. This device becomes the
“Main Connected Device.”
5 Try to connect to HBS-W120 using a previously connected device. This device becomes the
“Sub Connected Device.”
NOTE: If the HBS-W120 is simultaneously connected to two devices, the last connected device
becomes the Main Connected Device. The main functions work based on the Main
Connected Device.

Automatic Reconnection
If you turn on HBS-W120, it automatically connects to the previously connected device
(Main Connected Device or Sub Connected Device). (If the product cannot nd the device, it switches
to Search mode.)
If the product does not automatically connect to the device you want, search HBS-W120 in the
device you want to connect to and connect it manually.
Dual Play
You can connect two HBS-W120 headsets to listen to the same music.
1 Connect the rst HBS-W120 to your mobile phone or device.
2 Press and hold the
Next

button
and Play/Pause button of the rst HBS-W120
simultaneously for more than one second. (This HBS-W120 becomes the Master headset.)
3 Press and hold the
Previous ( ) button
and Play/Pause button of the second HBS-W120
simultaneously for more than one second. (This HBS-W120 becomes the Slave headset.)
4 An alert will indicate the connection status once the two HBS-W120 headsets are connected.
To disconnect Dual Play, press the Previous ( ) button or the Next ( ) button and
the Play/Pause button simultaneously for at least one second.
NOTE: Dual Play supports both Android and iOS.
The music playback functions can only perform in the Master headset while Dual Play is activated.
(Except Equalizer Mode Change and volume control)
If the Master headset and Slave headset are disconnected during Dual Play and they later
enter an environment in which they can reconnect, they will automatically attempt a Dual Play
connection.
Multi-connection is not available during Dual Play.

Wired connection (audio input terminal)
When the headset is turned on, use a wired connection through the audio input terminal to play
music through speakers.
NOTE:
When wired audio is connected, the Dual Play connection and the Bluetooth connection will be cut.
The audio cable is purchased separately and is not provided when purchasing the product.
When the audio cable is disconnected, an automatic connection is established with the most
recently connected device. (If no device is found, Search mode is activated.)
Earphones mode is unavailable when the audio cable is connected.
Use a portable 3.5 mm audio cable.

Pairing with TV and other devices (tablet, notebook PC, etc.)
You can connect and use HBS-W120 with TV and other devices that support the Bluetooth function.
For details on how to connect, refer to the user manual supplied with the product.

Compatible with Bluetooth enabled devices (Smartphone, Tablet and Laptops).
Compatible with Bluetooth audio enabled LG Smart TV’s running WebOS, manufactured from 2015
onward. For other Smart TV compatibility, please consult with the TV manufacturer.

If you make a call using a mobile phone, the call is automatically

Press and hold the Call button for one second to dial the last number

Briey press the Play/Pause button twice.
(Every time you press this button, the call switches to the mobile
phone or HBS-W120.)

while on the phone.
The existing call switches to call waiting status. Press and hold the
Call button again for one second to switch back to the previous call.

NOTE: The Voice Dial and Redial functions work on the “Main Connected Device” or on the device
on which you made the last call. (The Voice Dial and Redial functions may work differently
depending on the mobile phone being used.)

Switching Music Players
If you stop the current music in play, and then play music on either of the two connected devices,
HBS-W120’s music playback and control change to those of such device.
Switching Speaker/Earphones Mode
Slide the Speaker/Earphones mode switch toward the desired direction to change the mode.
NOTE: When making a mobile call in Speaker mode, only the speaker on the upper right hand side
is active.
Earphones Mode Speaker Mode
Setting up the Vibration Speaker (Wearable Bass™)
The strength of the bass and vibration is adjusted in
stages depending on the equalizer mode.
Press and hold the Volume control wheel/button while
playing audio (music) to change the equalizer mode.
Bass (default) > Normal (general) > Treble (emphasis
on high notes)
Put on the product and turn on the Vibration Speaker to
enjoy immersive surround sound and vibrations.

Out of Range
If the device connected to HBS-W120 is out of effective communication range (33 feet/10 meters),
the communication signal becomes weak and the communication is lost.
If the device comes back within the effective communication range, the product automatically
reconnects to HBS-W120.
If the device is not automatically reconnected, press the Call button on HBS-W120 to connect to
it manually.
If a device that is not in use moves out of range in multi-connection mode, automatic reconnection
function is not supported.
LG Tone & Talk™
Search for “LG Tone & Talk” in Google Play™ store or scan the QR code on
the right to install LG Tone & Talk.
HBS-W120 can use the following functions in LG Tone & Talk:
NOTE: The LG Tone & Talk feature can only be used one function at a time.
LG Tone & Talk can be used on Android™ smartphones.

1. Go to Tone & Talk and select Current Time Alert.

1. Go to Tone & Talk and select a speed dial contact.

You can change the equalizer mode through the app.

NOTE: The Current Time Alert and the Voice Memo features cannot be used at the same time.
When making selections in the Tone & Talk app, you can only use one function at a time.
The Voice Memo feature may not be supported on some devices.
Troubleshooting

If the mobile phone does not support headset and hands-free function,
you cannot use the calling features. Check the battery level and charge it.
Cannot register HBS-W120
to the mobile phone
Check whether HBS-W120 is turned on.

- If you press and hold the Call button while you slide the Power switch
to the ON position to turn the power on, the HBS-W120 switches
to Search mode.
The sound is low Control the sound level of the device connected to HBS-W120.
Connection to TV is lost,
or TV cannot be connected
Check whether the TV is turned off or switched to sleep mode.
If you turn off the TV and turn it on again, you will need to reconnect it
(refer to the user manual provided with the TV).

Dual Play cannot be connected
Please check your battery level and charge the battery.
Refer to the Connecting Quickly/Connecting Manually instructions and
connect your HBS-W120 to your mobile phone or device.
Position two HBS-W120 headsets within 1 foot (30 centimeters) of
each other.
Refer to the Dual Play connection instructions to connect the two
HBS-W120 headsets.
NOTE: Connections are only supported between two identical HBS-W120
models.

Additional Information
1. Radio frequency exposure
This Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headset HBS-W120 is a radio transmitter and receiver. When in
operation it communicates with a Bluetooth-equipped mobile device by receiving and transmitting
radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic elds (microwaves) in the frequency range 2.4 to 2.4835 GHz.
Your Bluetooth headset is designed to operate in compliance with the RF exposure guidelines and
limits set by national authorities and international health agencies when used with any compatible
LG Electronics mobile phone.

The following environments affect the range and reception of Bluetooth signals:
- When walls, metal, human bodies, or other obstacles exist between the Bluetooth device and
the connected device.
- When equipment that uses 2.4 GHz frequency signals (wireless LANs, wireless phones,
microwave ovens, etc.) is placed near the devices being used.
3. Potentially explosive atmosphere
Turn off your electronic device when in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere.
Although this is uncommon, your electronic device could generate sparks. Sparks in such areas
could cause an explosion or re resulting in bodily injury or even death. Areas with a potentially
explosive atmosphere are often but not always clearly marked.

4. Emergency calls
IMPORTANT!
This Bluetooth headset and the electronic device connected to the headset operate using radio
signals and mobile and landline networks as well as user-programmed functions, which cannot
guarantee connection under all conditions. Therefore, you should never rely solely upon any
electronic device for essential communications (e.g., medical emergencies). Remember, in order
to make or receive calls, the headset and the electronic device connected to the headset must be
switched on and in a service area with adequate mobile signal strength. Emergency calls may not
be possible on all mobile phone networks or when certain network services and/or phone features
are in use. Check with your local service provider.
5. Battery information
A rechargeable battery has a long service life if treated properly. A new battery or one that
has not been used for a long period of time could have reduced capacity the rst few times it
is used. Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures, never above +50°C (+122°F) or
below -10°C (+14°F). For maximum battery capacity, use the battery at room temperature. If the
battery is used in low temperatures, the battery capacity will be reduced. The battery can only be
charged in temperatures between +10°C (+50°F) and +45°C (+113°F).
6. Recycling the battery in your
Bluetooth
headset
The battery in your Bluetooth headset must be disposed of properly and should never be placed
in municipal waste. The LG Electronics service partner that removes the battery will dispose of it
according to local regulations.
7. Conditions
- The warranty is valid only if the original receipt issued to the original purchaser by the dealer,
specifying the date of purchase and serial number, is presented with the product to be repaired or
replaced. LG Electronics reserves the right to refuse warranty service if this information has been
removed or changed after the original purchase of the product from the dealer.
- If LG Electronics repairs or replaces the product, the repaired or replaced product shall be warranted
for the remaining time of the original warranty period or for ninety (90) days from the date of
repair, whichever is longer. Repair or replacement may involve the use of functionally equivalent
reconditioned units. Replaced parts or components will become the property of LG Electronics.
- This warranty does not cover any failure of the product due to normal wear and tear, or due
to misuse, including but not limited to use in other than the normal and customary manner, in

accordance with instructions for use and maintenance of the product. Nor does this warranty
cover any failure of the product due to accident, modication or adjustment, acts of God, or
damage resulting from liquid.
- This warranty does not cover product failures due to improper repair installations, modications,

on the product will void the warranty.
- THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES, WHETHER WRITTEN OR ORAL, OTHER THAN THIS

Important Safety Information
Avoiding hearing damage
Permanent hearing loss may occur if you use your headset at a high volume.
Set the volume to a safe level. Over time you can become accustomed to a higher volume that may
sound normal but can be damaging to your hearing.
If you experience ringing in your ears or mufed speech, stop listening and have your hearing
checked. The louder the volume, the less time is required before your hearing could be affected.
Hearing experts suggest that to protect your hearing:
• Limit the amount of time you use the headset at high volume.
• Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings.
• Turn the volume down if you can’t hear people speaking near you.
Lower the volume before switching to Earphones mode from Speaker mode.
While in Speaker mode, do not listen to or adjust the volume with the headset placed close to your ears.
Using headsets safely
Use of headsets to listen to music while operating a vehicle is not recommended and is illegal in
some areas. Be careful and attentive while driving. Stop using this device if you nd it disruptive or
distracting while operating any type of vehicle or performing any other activity that requires your
full attention.

Vinculación y conexión de HBS-W120
Para vincular y conectar el dispositivo fácilmente, siga las indicaciones de
voz a través del auricular o el altavoz.
Si oye que el nivel de batería es insuficiente, cargue la batería antes de
continuar con la vinculación.
Si la vinculación no se completa dentro de tres minutos, el producto se
apagará automáticamente. Cuando se haya apagado automáticamente,
deslice el Interruptor de encendido desde la posición OFF a la ON para
encenderlo de nuevo.

Conexiones múltiples
El HBS-W120 se puede conectar a dos dispositivos (como un teléfono móvil y una computadora,
entre otros) y utilizarlos al mismo tiempo.
Se puede conectar un dispositivo adicional mientras el HBS-W120 esté conectado a otro.
1 Mantenga presionado el Botón llamar y deslice el Interruptor de encendido hacia la posición
ON para encender el dispositivo.
2 Se encenderá la luz indicadora azul y el HBS-W120 cambiará al modo de búsqueda.
3 En la lista de teléfonos móviles o dispositivos, seleccione LG HBSW120 para conectarse.

Si enciende el HBS-W120, se conecta automáticamente al dispositivo conectado previamente

Si el producto no se conecta automáticamente al dispositivo que desea, busque HBS-W120 en el
dispositivo al que desea conectarse y conéctelo manualmente.
Dual Play
Puede conectar dos auriculares HBS-W120 para escuchar la misma música.

Si el auricular principal y el secundario están desconectados durante la conexión Dual Play
y luego ingresan a un entorno en el que se pueden volver a conectar, intentarán realizar una
conexión Dual Play automáticamente.
La conexión múltiple no está disponible durante Dual Play.

Conexión por cable (terminal de entrada de audio)
Cuando el auricular está activado, utilice una conexión por cable a través del terminal de entrada de
audio para reproducir música con los altavoces.
NOTA: si el audio está conectado por cable, se cortarán las conexiones de Dual Play y Bluetooth.
El cable de audio se vende por separado y no viene incluido con la compra del producto.
Cuando el cable de audio está desconectado, se establece una conexión automática con el
dispositivo conectado más reciente. (Si no se encuentra ningún dispositivo, se activa el modo
de búsqueda)
El modo de auriculares no está disponible cuando el cable de audio está conectado.
Use un cable de audio portátil de 3,5 mm.

Este auricular estéreo inalámbrico Bluetooth, modelo HBS-W120, es un transmisor y receptor

3. Atmósferas potencialmente explosivas
Cuando se encuentre en una atmósfera potencialmente explosiva, apague el dispositivo electrónico.
Aunque es poco frecuente, este dispositivo electrónico podría generar chispas. Las chispas en
dichas áreas pueden causar una explosión o un incendio y provocar lesiones personales o incluso
la muerte. Las zonas con riesgo de explosión suelen estar claramente señaladas, aunque no en

4. Llamadas de emergencia

Este auricular Bluetooth y el dispositivo electrónico conectado a él funcionan con señales de

5. Información sobre la batería
Las baterías recargables tienen una vida útil prolongada si reciben el tratamiento adecuado.
Las baterías nuevas o que no se hayan utilizado por mucho tiempo podrían tener una capacidad
reducida las primeras veces que se utilizan. No exponga la batería a temperaturas extremas,
superiores a +50°C (+122°F) o inferiores a -10°C (+14°F). Para obtener la máxima capacidad de la
batería, úsela a temperatura ambiente. Si se utiliza la batería en condiciones de temperaturas bajas,
la capacidad se verá reducida. La batería solo puede cargarse a temperaturas entre +10°C (+50°F)
y +45°C (+113°F).
6. Reciclado de la batería del auricular
Bluetooth
La batería del auricular Bluetooth debe desecharse con el procedimiento adecuado y nunca debe
arrojarse al basurero municipal. Los encargados del servicio técnico de LG Electronics que extraigan
baterías las desecharán de acuerdo con las reglamentaciones locales.

7. Condiciones
- La garantía tiene validez únicamente si, junto con el producto que se va a reparar o reemplazar,
se presenta la factura original que el distribuidor le emitió al comprador original. LG Electronics
se reserva el derecho de denegar el servicio de garantía si no se presenta dicha información o si
hubiera habido modificaciones luego de la compra original del producto al distribuidor.
- Si LG Electronics repara o reemplaza el producto, el plazo de garantía del producto reemplazado
o reparado equivaldrá al tiempo restante del plazo de la garantía original o noventa (90) días a
partir de la fecha de reparación, el período que sea mayor. La reparación o el reemplazo podrían
implicar el uso de unidades reacondicionadas con funciones equivalentes. Los componentes o las
piezas reemplazadas pasarán a ser propiedad de LG Electronics.
- La presente garantía no cubre fallas por desgaste natural ni uso indebido, entre otros casos, usos
fuera de lo normal y habitual, conforme a las instrucciones de uso y mantenimiento del producto.
La cobertura tampoco abarca fallas del producto que se deban a accidentes, modificaciones o
ajustes, caso fortuito o daño producido por algún líquido.
- La garantía no cubre fallas del producto a causa de instalaciones, reparaciones o modificaciones
incorrectas llevadas a cabo por personas que no estén autorizadas por LG Electronics. Todo indicio
de manipulación en cualquiera de los sellos del producto anulará la garantía.
- NO EXISTEN GARANTÍAS EXPRESAS, NI ORALES NI ESCRITAS, SALVO LAS QUE CONSTAN
EN EL PRESENTE DOCUMENTO, INCLUYENDO, ENTRE OTRAS, LAS GARANTÍAS IMPLÍCITAS
DE COMERCIALIZACIÓN O IDONEIDAD PARA UN FIN DETERMINADO. LA DURACIÓN DE
CUALQUIER GARANTÍA IMPLÍCITA SE LIMITA AL PLAZO DE LA PRESENTE GARANTÍA LIMITADA.
ASIMISMO, LG ELECTRONICS O SUS DISTRIBUIDORES NO SERÁN RESPONSABLES, EN
NINGUNA CIRCUNSTANCIA, POR DAÑOS FORTUITOS O EMERGENTES DE ÍNDOLE ALGUNA,
INCLUYENDO, ENTRE OTROS, PÉRDIDAS COMERCIALES O DE GANANCIAS, HASTA EL MÁXIMO
DESCARGO DE RESPONSABILIDAD PERMITIDO POR LA LEY.
- En algunos estados y países, no se permite la exclusión o la limitación de daños fortuitos y
emergentes, ni la limitación del plazo de las garantías implícitas. Por lo tanto, las exclusiones
o limitaciones de los párrafos anteriores podrían no aplicarse en su caso. La garantía provista
no afecta los derechos del consumidor establecidos por la legislación nacional pertinente en
vigencia ni los derechos del consumidor en relación con el distribuidor que surjan del contrato

Garantía limitada
Sujeta a las condiciones de la presente garantía limitada, LG Electronics garantiza que este producto
no presenta fallas de diseño, materiales ni mano de obra en el momento en que el consumidor realiza
la compra original, y que no las presentará por un período posterior de un (1) año. En caso de que el
producto requiera servicio técnico de garantía, sírvase llevarlo al establecimiento del distribuidor que
se lo vendió o comuníquese con el centro de contacto de LG Electronics de su región para obtener
más información.
Información importante de seguridad
Reducción de la capacidad auditiva
Si utiliza el auricular con un nivel de volumen alto, podría sufrir hipoacusia permanente.
Configure el volumen en un nivel inocuo. Con el tiempo, podría acostumbrarse a un volumen de
sonido más alto que podría parecer normal, pero que podría dañar su capacidad auditiva.
Si le zumban los oídos o siente que los sonidos le llegan medio apagados, no utilice el dispositivo y
consulte a un otorrinolaringólogo. Cuanto más alto sea el volumen, más rápido podría verse afectada
su audición.
Algunos expertos en audición sugieren que, para proteger la audición, se debe:
• Limitar el tiempo de uso del auricular a volumen alto.
• Evitar subir el volumen para contrarrestar el exceso de ruido ambiental.
• Bajar el volumen si no oye a la gente que habla cerca de usted.
Baje el volumen antes de cambiar al modo Auriculares desde el modo Altavoz.
Mientras está en modo Altavoz, no escuche ni ajuste el volumen con los auriculares puestos cerca
de los oídos.
Uso seguro de los auriculares
No se recomienda utilizar auriculares para escuchar música mientras conduce un vehículo y, en
algunas zonas, es ilegal hacerlo. Sea precavido y cauto al conducir. No utilice el dispositivo si le resulta
molesto o lo distrae mientras maneja cualquier tipo de vehículo o realiza alguna otra actividad que
requiera toda su atención.
