Installation

Make sure the power to all devices you will be connecting is
turned off.

Connect the HDMI source to the Input port on the splitter.
Note: The length of the HDMI cable connecting the source to the splitter
must not exceed 16.4 ft. (5 m).
Notes:
• The maximum distances referenced in these instructions have been tested
at a UHD 4Kx2K video resolution of 3840 x 2160 @ 24Hz and 30Hz with
36-bit (12 bits per channel) Deep Color using 28 AWG (0.08 mm
2
) HDMI
cables. Longer distances between the splitter and connected monitors are
achievable using 24 AWG (0.2 mm
2
) HDMI cables.
• When connecting monitors that support different maximum resolutions, the
video resolution displayed will be limited to the lowest maximum resolution.
For example, if connecting a combination of 1080p and 4Kx2K monitors, a
1080p video resolution will be displayed on all screens.

Troubleshooting
If you are unable to obtain an acceptable image after following the
installation instructions, try the troubleshooting tips below:
1
Press the reset button on the splitter to reset the signal being
sent to the connected displays.
Note: The B118-002-UHD does not feature a reset button.

Is the external power supply that came with the product
connected and plugged into a working power source? For
the product to function properly, it must be connected to and
receiving power from the external power supply.

Was the power to the connected devices turned off prior to
installation? If not, restart them.
4
What resolution are you trying to obtain? Tripp Lite’s UHD
4Kx2K HDMI splitters are tested to support video resolutions up
to 3840 x 2160 @ 24Hz and 30Hz, at 36-bit Deep Color
(12 bits per channel).
Installation

Connect an available Output port on the splitter to the HDMI input
port of your display.
Note: The length of the HDMI cable connecting the splitter to the display
must not exceed 23 ft. (7 m).

Repeat step 3 for the remaining Output ports on the splitter.
5
Connect the included power supply to the splitter, then plug it
into a Tripp Lite Surge Protector, Power Distribution Unit (PDU), or
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

Turn on the power to the HDMI source, splitter, and displays.

What HDMI cable length are you using? (See the Installation
section in this manual for details on the maximum cable distance).
The shorter the cable being used, the higher the resolution you
will be able to obtain. If you are not able to receive an acceptable
image, try using a shorter cable, or lowering your source’s video
resolution or color depth settings.

What type of cabling are you using? Inferior cabling can
result in poor performance, so it is important you use cables that
can support the video resolution you are trying to obtain. It is
recommended you use Tripp Lite’s P568-Series High Speed HDMI
cables, as they have been tested to work with the B118-Series
splitters.

Test your cables to ensure they are working properly. For
example, connect your HDMI cable between a source and monitor
that you know works to see if the cable is functioning.

Is the unit located in an area that exposes it to higher
temperatures? If the product is overheated, it will not function
properly.

Are you connecting monitors that have different maximum
resolutions? When doing so, the video resolution displayed will
be that of the lowest maximum resolution supported among the
connected monitors. For example, when connecting 1080p and
4Kx2K monitors, 1080p video will display.

1-Year Limited Warranty
Tripp Lite warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period
of one (1) year from the date of initial purchase. Tripp Lite’s obligation under this warranty is limited
to repairing or replacing (at its sole option) any such defective products. To obtain service under
this warranty, you must obtain a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number from Tripp Lite or
an authorized Tripp Lite service center. Products must be returned to Tripp Lite or an authorized
Tripp Lite service center with transportation charges prepaid and must be accompanied by a brief
description of the problem encountered and proof of date and place of purchase. This warranty does
not apply to equipment which has been damaged by accident, negligence or misapplication or has
been altered or modified in any way.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, Tripp Lite MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Some states do not permit limitation or exclusion of implied warranties; therefore, the aforesaid
limitation(s) or exclusion(s) may not apply to the purchaser.

Solución de Problemas
Si no puede obtener una imagen aceptable después de seguir las
instrucciones de instalación, intente con los consejos para solución
de problemas a continuación:

Presione el botón de restauración en el divisor para

¿Qué longitud de cable HDMI está usando? (Para obtener
detalles sobre la distancia máxima del cable, consulte la sección
Instalación en este manual). Mientras más corto el cable que se
utilice, mayor será la resolución que podrá obtener. Si no puede
recibir una imagen aceptable, trate de usar un cable más corto, o
reducir la resolución de video o la configuración de profundidad de
color de su fuente.

¿Qué tipo de cableado está usando? Un cableado inferior
puede resultar en bajo rendimiento, por lo que es importante
utilizar cables que soporten la resolución de vídeo que está
intentando obtener. Se recomienda utilizar cables HDMI alta
velocidad serie P568 de Tripp, han sido probados para trabajar
con los divisores de la serie B118.

Garantía limitada por 1 año

Appuyer sur le bouton de réinitialisation sur le coupleur pour
réinitialiser le signal envoyé aux écrans connectés.
Remarque : Le B118-002-UHD ne comporte pas de bouton de
réinitialisation.

La source d'alimentation externe expédiée avec le produit
est-elle connectée et branchée à une source en bon état de
fonctionnement? Pour que le produit fonctionne correctement,
il doit être connecté à une source d'alimentation externe et
alimenté par celle-ci.

L'alimentation des appareils connectés a-t-elle été mise
hors tension avant l'installation? Si non, procéder à un
redémarrage.

Raccorder un port de sortie disponible sur le coupleur au port
d'entrée HDMI de l'écran.

Quelle résolution cherchez-vous à obtenir? Les coupleurs HDMI
UHD 4 K x 2 K de Tripp Lite sont testés pour prendre en charge
une résolution vidéo jusqu'à 3 840 x 2 160 @ 24 Hz et 30 Hz, à
36 bits Deep Color (12 bits par canal).

Quelle longueur de câble HDMI est utilisée? (Voir la section
Installation dans le présent manuel pour des détails sur la
distance maximale des câbles.) Plus le câble utilisé est court,
plus la résolution sera élevée. S'il n'est pas possible d'obtenir une
image acceptable, essayer d'utiliser un câble plus court ou de
réduire la résolution vidéo de la source ou les paramètres de la
profondeur des couleurs.

Quel type de câblage est utilisé? Le câblage de qualité
inférieure peut entraîner une mauvaise performance, il est donc
important d'utiliser des câbles qui peuvent prendre en charge la
résolution vidéo souhaitée. Il est recommandé d'utiliser des câbles
HDMI grande vitesse de série P568 de Tripp Lite, car ils ont été
testés pour fonctionner avec des coupleurs de la série B118.

Tester les câbles pour s'assurer qu'ils fonctionnement
correctement. Par exemple, brancher le câble HDMI entre
une source et un moniteur en bon état de fonctionnement pour
déterminer si le câble fonctionne correctement.

des températures plus élevées? Si le produit surchauffe, il ne
fonctionnera pas correctement.

Перед началом установки все подключаемые устройства должны быть обесточены.

Подключите источник HDMI-сигнала к порту Input (Вход) разветвителя.
Примечание. Длина HDMI-кабеля, соединяющего источник с разветвителем, не должна
превышать 5 м.
Примечания:
• Максимальные расстояния, указанные в настоящем руководстве, тестировались при
видеоразрешении UHD 4Kx2K, равном 3840 x 2160 при 24 Гц и 30 Гц с 36-битовым кодированием
цвета (по 12 бит на канал) с использованием HDMI-кабелей калибра 28 AWG (0,08 мм

Выявление и устранение неисправностей
Если выполнение указаний по установке не позволяет достичь приемлемого качества
изображения, попробуйте воспользоваться приведенными ниже рекомендациями по
выявлению и устранению неисправностей:

Нажмите кнопку перезапуска на разветвителе для сброса сигнала,
передаваемого на подключенные дисплеи.
Примечание. Модель B118-002-UHD не имеет кнопки перезапуска.

Подключен ли поставляемый в комплекте внешний блок питания к
работающему источнику питания? Для надлежащего функционирования данного
изделия оно должно подключаться к внешнему блоку питания и запитываться от него.

Было ли отключено питание подключенных устройств до начала установки?
Если нет, выполните их перезапуск.
4
Какого разрешения вы пытаетесь добиться? Выпускаемые компанией TrippLite
разветвители UHD 4Kx2K HDMI тестируются на предмет поддержки видеоразрешений
до 3840 x 2160 при 24 Гц и 30 Гц с 36-битовым кодированием цвета (по 12 бит на канал).

Соедините свободный порт Output (Выход) разветвителя со входным HDMI-портом
своего дисплея.
Примечание. Длина HDMI-кабеля, соединяющего разветвитель с дисплеем, не должна

Какой длины кабель HDMI вы используете? (Подробнее о максимальной
протяженности кабеля см. в разделе Установка данного руководства). Чем короче
используемый кабель, тем выше разрешение, которое вы сможете получить. В
случае невозможности добиться приемлемого качества изображения попробуйте
использовать более короткий кабель либо уменьшить параметры видеоразрешения
или разрядности цвета своего источника.

Какого типа кабели вы используете? Использование ненадлежащих кабелей
может привести к ухудшению рабочих характеристик, в связи с чем необходимо
использовать кабели, поддерживающие тот уровень видеоразрешения, который вы
пытаетесь получить. Рекомендуется использовать выпускаемые компанией TrippLite
высокоскоростные HDMI-кабели серии P568, поскольку они успешно прошли испытания
на совместную работу с разветвителями серии B118.

Проверьте используемые кабели на предмет их надлежащего
функционирования. Например, для проверки функционирования HDMI-кабеля
соедините через него исправно работающие источник и монитор.

Не подвергается ли устройство воздействию повышенных температур
в том месте, где оно установлено? В случае перегрева изделие не может
функционировать надлежащим образом.

Не подключались ли мониторы с различным максимальным разрешением?
В этом случае получаемое видеоразрешение будет ограничиваться наименьшим из
максимальных значений видеоразрешения подключенных мониторов. Например, при
подключении мониторов с разрешениями 1080p и 4Kx2K получаемый видеосигнал
будет иметь разрешение 1080p.

Гарантийные обязательства
Ограниченная гарантия 1 год
Компания TrippLite гарантирует отсутствие дефектов материалов и изготовления в течение одного (1) года с момента
первоначальной покупки. Обязательства компании TrippLite по настоящей гарантии ограничиваются ремонтом или заменой
(по ее единоличному усмотрению) любых таких дефектных изделий. Для получения услуг по данной гарантии необходимо
получить номер Returned Material Authorization (RMA - разрешение на возврат материалов) от компании TrippLite или ее
авторизованного сервисного центра. Изделия должны быть возвращены в компанию TrippLite или ее авторизованный сервисный
центр с предоплатой транспортных расходов и сопровождаться кратким описанием возникшей проблемы и документом,
