NOTE: If moisture forms on the walls or windows of the room, turn off the humidifier. The room already has plenty of humidity and additional moisture may cause damage. • • Cord and Plug Installation Safety Instructions The length of cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in, or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary an approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the humidifier (refer to the rating information placed on the humidifier). Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over. Fill water container with cool tap water to the to the “Top Full” line (See Figure 2). DO NOT fill the container higher than the Top Full line. Some models may include a small hole above the “Top Full” line to prevent overfilling. After filling, return motor assembly to the water container. Unit may make a vibrating noise if the motor assembly is not positioned properly. Figure 1 Motor assembly Water Container OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS WARNING: To protect against electrical shock, always unplug your humidifier when not in use, before cleaning, rinsing, filling or moving. When in use, the motor assembly must be positioned on the water container for proper operation. 1. To remove the motor assembly, lift it directly upward from the water container (See Figure 1). Always rinse and empty the water container before filling and after use. 2. Fill water container. • Always unplug the unit, lift top of unit and place upside down to avoid damage to the impeller stem (See Figure 3).
