1. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical

Code ANSI/NFPA 70 and local electrical codes. Electrical

installation should be performed by a qualied licensed

electrician.

2. The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted

and capable of reliably supporting 35 pounds (15.9 kg). Use

only UL Listed outlet boxes marked “Acceptable for Fan

Support of 35 pounds (15.9 kg) or less.”

3. The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 ft (2.1 m)

clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the oor.

4. Do not operate the reversing switch while the fan blades are

in motion. You must turn the fan off and stop the blades before

you reverse the blade direction.

5. Do not place objects in the path of the blades.

6. Electrical diagrams are for reference only. Light kits that are

not packed with the fan must be UL listed and marked suitable

for use with the model fan you are installing. Switches must be

UL General Use Switches. Refer to the instructions packaged

with the light kits and switches for proper assembly. Use 9.5 W

LED bulbs max (included).

7. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors should

be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the outlet box.

The wires should be spread apart with the grounded conductor

and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the

outlet box.

8. All setscrews must be checked and retightened where

necessary before installation.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury,

do not bend the blade brackets (also referred to as

anges) during assembly or after installation. Do not

insert objects in the path of the blades.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of re or electric

shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed

control device.

WARNING: Remove the rubber motor stops on

the bottom of the fan before installing the blades or

testing the motor.

WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock,

turn the electricity off at the main fuse box before

wiring. If you feel you do not have enough electrical

wiring knowledge or experience, contact a licensed

electrician.

The supplier warrants the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a lifetime

after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The supplier also warrants that all other fan parts, excluding any glass or acrylic blades, to be

free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of one year after the date of purchase by the

original purchaser. We agree to correct such defects without charge or at our option replace with a comparable or superior model if the product is

returned. To obtain warranty service, you must present a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase. All costs of removing and reinstalling the product

are your responsibility. Damage to any part such as by accident, misuse, improper installation, or by afxing any accessories, is not covered by

this warranty. Because of varying climatic conditions this warranty does not cover any changes in brass nish, including rusting, pitting, corroding,

tarnishing, or peeling. Brass nishes of this type give their longest useful life when protected from varying weather conditions. A certain amount of

“wobble” is normal and should not be considered a defect. Servicing performed by unauthorized persons shall render the warranty invalid. There is

Installation

MOUNTING OPTIONS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock

or personal injury, mount to outlet box marked

“Acceptable for fan support of 35 lbs. (15.9 Kg) or

less”, and use screws provided with the outlet box. An

outlet box commonly used for the support of lighting

xtures may not be acceptable for fan support and may

need to be replaced. If in doubt, consult a qualied

electrician.

If your ceiling fan does not have an existing UL-listed mounting

box, then install one using the following instructions:

□ Disconnect the power by removing the fuses or turning off

the circuit breakers.

□ Secure the outlet box directly to the building structure. Use

the appropriate fasteners and materials. The outlet box and

its bracing must be able to fully support the weight of the

moving fan (at least 35 lbs.). Do not use a plastic outlet box.

The illustrations below show three different ways to mount the

outlet box.

If the canopy touches the downrod, then remove the canopy bottom

cover, and turn the canopy 180° before attaching the canopy to the

mounting plate.

To hang your fan where there is an existing xture but no ceiling joist,

you may need an installation hanger bar as shown above

(available at any Home Depot store).

NOTE: You may need a longer downrod to maintain

proper blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped

ceiling. The maximum angle allowable is 30° away from

horizontal.

□ Remove the canopy ring (D) from the canopy (C) by

turning the ring counter-clockwise until it unlocks.

□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C)

by loosening the two canopy screws (FF) located in the

“L shaped” slots.

□ Remove and save the two canopy screws (FF) and lock

washers (GG) in the round holes. This will enable you to

remove the mounting bracket (A).

□ Route the wires exiting the top of the fan motor (F),

through the coupler cover (E), and canopy ring (D).

□ Make sure the slot openings are on top and route the

wires through the canopy (C) and then through the

ball/downrod assembly (B).

□ Remove the setscrew (RR) by turning it counterclockwise.

□ Install the downrod (B) by inserting it into the motor collar

(TT), and turning it clockwise until it is tight.

□ Reinstall the setscrew (RR) turning clockwise until tight.

CAUTION: To ensure wobble-free operation and to

avoid damage to the fan, the downrod (B) and the

setscrew (RR) must be completely tightened

□ Pass the 120-Volt supply wires through the center hole in the

mounting bracket (A).

□ Install the ceiling mounting bracket on the outlet box by sliding

the mounting bracket (A) over the two screws (II) provided with

the outlet box. If necessary, use leveling washers (not included)

between the mounting bracket (A) and the outlet box. Note that

the at side of the mounting bracket (A) is toward the outlet box.

When using close-to-ceiling mounting, it is important that the

mounting bracket be level.

□ Securely tighten the two mounting screws (II).

outlet box.

□ Remove canopy ring (D) from the canopy (C) by turning the

ring counter-clockwise until it unlocks.

□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C) by

loosening the two canopy screws (FF) located in the “L

shaped” slots.

□ Remove and save the two canopy screws (FF) and lock

washers (GG) in the round holes. This will enable you to

remove the mounting bracket (A).

□ Remove the decorative canopy bottom cover (M) from the

canopy (C) by pressing the three studs located inside the

bottom of the canopy.

□ Remove three of the six screws (JJ) and lock washers (KK)

(every other one) securing the motor collar to the top of the

fan motor housing (F).

□ Place the rubber gasket (AA) over the remaining three

screws, and route the wires exiting the top of the fan motor

(F) through the canopy ring (D). Make sure the slot opening is

on top, then proceed to place the ceiling canopy (C) over the

collar at the top of the motor (F).

□ Align the mounting holes with the holes in the motor (F) and

fasten, using the three screws (JJ) and lock washers (KK)

removed previously. Tighten the mounting screws securely.

Hanging the fan

□ Carefully lift the fan-motor assembly (F) up to the slide-on

mounting bracket (A).

□ If using the downrod, insert the ball portion of the ball/

downrod assembly (B) into the socket of the slide-on

mounting bracket (A).

□ Turn the ball/downrod assembly (B) clockwise until it is

seated with the tab of the slide-on mounting bracket (A)

aligned with the slot in the ball.

□ If using close-to-ceiling mounting, hang the fan on the hook

provided by utilizing one of the holes at the outer rim of the

ceiling canopy (C).

WARNING: The hook (UU) is only to balance the fan while

making the electrical connections. Failure to hang as shown

may result in the hook (UU) breaking, causing the fan to fall.

The hook must pass from the inside to the outside of the

canopy.

WARNING: When hanging the fan on the hook (UU) it is

critical that you use one of the non-slotted (round) holes in

the canopy (C).

Wiring the fan to the receiver

□ The fan comes with 30 in. lead wires for use with an extended

ball/downrod assembly. If using the 4.5 in. ball/downrod

assembly (B) provided, you can cut the lead wires to your

desired length (no shorter than 12 in.) This will make extra

room in the canopy (C), if you do not wish to cut the wires,

you will need to neatly wrap them.

□ Connect the fan motor green wire(s) to the household green

or bare wire using a wire connecting nut (CC).

□ Connect the fan motor white wire to the household white wire

using a wire connecting nut (CC).

□ Connect the fan motor black and blue wires to the household

black wire using a wire connecting nut (CC).

□ Secure each wire connecting nut using electrical tape.

□ Turn the wire connecting nut (CC) upward and push the wiring

into the outlet box (NN).

IMPORTANT: Use the wire connecting nuts (CC) supplied with your

fan. Secure the connectors with electrical tape and ensure there

are no loose strands or connections.

NOTE: The fan comes with 54 in. lead wires for use with an

extended ball/downrod assembly. If using the 4.5 in. ball/downrod

assembly (B) provided, you can cut the lead wires to your desired

length (no shorter than 12 in.).

WARNING: Remove the rubber motor stops on the bottom of the

fan before installing the blades or testing the motor.

Wrapping the extra wire

□ Gently wrap the excess wire around the mounting bracket,

under the receiver.

□ Secure with electrical tape.

NOTE: Follow this step ONLY if you did not cut the extra length off

from the wires coming from the ceiling fan.

□ Align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy (C) with the two

screws in the mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage the

slots and turn clockwise to lock in place.

□ Firmly tighten the two mounting screws.

□ Install the two mounting screws (FF) and lock washers (GG)

(saved from Assembly Step 1 “Preparing for mounting”) into

the holes in the canopy (C) and tighten rmly.

□ Install the decorative canopy ring (D) by aligning the ring’s

slots with the screws in the canopy (C). Rotate the ring

clockwise to lock in place.

WARNING: When using the standard ball/downrod mounting, the

tab in the ring at the bottom of the mounting bracket must rest in

the groove of the hanger ball. Failure to properly seat the tab in

the groove could cause damage to the wiring.

WARNING: The locking slots of ceiling canopy are provided only

as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly unattended

until all four canopy screws are engaged and rmly tightened.

Attaching the blade brackets

□ Fasten the blade bracket (I) to the motor (F) by inserting the

alignment post into the slot on the bottom of the fan-motor

assembly (F) and tightening the motor screws that are pre-

assembled to the blade bracket (I).

□ Repeat for the remaining four blade brackets (I).

Mounting the fan

(close-to-ceiling mount)

□ Carefully unhook the fan from the mounting bracket (A) and

align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy (C) with the two

screws in the mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage the

slots and turn clockwise to lock in place. Immediately tighten

the two mounting screws rmly.

□ Install the two mounting screws (FF) and lock washers (GG)

saved from Assembly Step 1 “Preparing for mounting” into the

holes in the canopy (C) and tighten rmly.

□ Install the decorative canopy ring (M) by aligning the ring’s

slots with the screws in the canopy (C). Rotate the ring

clockwise to lock in place.

WARNING: The locking slots of ceiling canopy are provided only

as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly unattended

until all four canopy screws are engaged and rmly tightened.

Attaching the fan blades

□ Mount the fan blades (J) to the blade bracket (I) by aligning

the three key-slot holes in the blade (J) with the three posts

on the top of the blade brackets (I).

□ Hold the blade (J) close to the blade bracket (I) and press

the blade (J) down rmly. Ensure the key-slot holes are

properly seated on the blade arm posts.

□ While still holding the blade (J) down, rmly slide the blade

(J) away from the bracket (I) side until the blade (J) engages

in the locking mechanism (SS).

□ Make sure the locking mechanism (SS) at the rear of the

blade bracket (I) springs upward and butts against the edge

of the blade (J) indicating a secure connection.

□ Visually inspect the top of the blade bracket (I) to ensure the

locking mechanism (SS) is securely in place.

□ Repeat for the remaining blades (J).

□ Remove the three screws (QQ) from the light kit tter

assembly (G).

□ Connect the wires exiting the bottom of the motor assembly

(F) by connecting the molded adaptor plugs together (blue to

blue, white to white).

□ Slide the light kit (G) and secure it to the switch housing

using the three screws (QQ) that were removed in the rst

step.

CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect

the electrical supply circuit to the fan before installing the

light kit.

Installing the bulbs and attaching the

glass bowl

□ Remove the compressing ring (MM) from the threaded

socket of the light kit (G) by turning the compressing ring

(MM) counterclockwise until it unlocks.

□ Insert the glass shade (H) into the light kit cowling and turn

the compressing ring (MM) clockwise to tighten and secure

the glass shade. Repeat for the remaining shades.

□ With power off, screw the LED bulbs (K) into the sockets.

□ Attach the pull chain extensions (BB) to the light pull chain

and fan pull chain.

CAUTION: Make sure the power is off before attaching or

removing the glass bowl.

WARNING: Allow the glass bowl to cool completely before

removing.

CAUTION: Over lamping the fan will result in the fan lights

shutting down until the proper wattage bulbs are installed.

Reset the lights by turning off the power, replacing the bulbs

with the correct wattage bulbs, and turn the power on.

Operation

Turn on the power and check the operation of the fan. The pull

chain controls the fan speeds as follows:

1 pull - High, 2 pulls - Medium, 3 pulls - Low, 4 pulls - off

The appropriate speed settings for warm or cool weather depends

on factors such as the room size, ceiling height, and number of

fans.

The fan is shipped from the factory with the reversing switch

positioned to circulate air downward. If airow is desired in the

opposite direction, turn your fan off and wait for the blades to stop

turning, then slide the reversing switch (YY) (located in switch cup)

to the opposite position, and turn the fan on again. The fan blades

will turn in the opposite direction and reverse airow.

A. Warm weather - (Forward) A downward airow creates a cooling

effect. This allows you to set your air conditioner on a warmer

setting without affecting your comfort.

B. Cool weather - (Reverse) An upward airow moves warm air off

of the ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit on a cooler

setting without affecting your comfort.

NOTE: Wait for the fan to stop before reversing the direction of

blade rotation.

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution

The fan will not start. □ Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.

□ Check the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing.

The fan is noisy. □ Ensure all motor housing screws are snug.

□ Ensure the screws that attach the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are tight.

□ Ensure the wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch housing.

□ Allow a 24-hour “breaking in” period. Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this time.

□ If you are using the Ceiling Fan light kit, ensure the screws securing the glassware are tight. Check that the light

bulbs are also secure.

□ Ensure the canopy is a short distance from the ceiling. It should not touch the ceiling.

□ Ensure your outlet box is secure and rubber isolator pads were used between the mounting plate and outlet box.

The fan wobbles. □ Check that all blade and blade arm screws are secure.

□ Most fan wobble problems are caused when blade levels are unequal. Check this level by selecting a point on

the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades. Measure from a point on the center of the blade to the point on the

ceiling. Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement, and measure from the same point on

each blade to the ceiling. Repeat for each blade. Any measurement deviation should be within 1/8 in. Run the fan

for ten minutes. If the fan continues to wobble please contact Customer Service and a balancing kit will be sent

to you at no charge.

□ Because of the fan’s natural movement, some connections may become loose. Check the support connections, brackets, and blade

attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.

□ Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years. Do not use water when cleaning, as this could damage

the motor, or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock. Use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the nish. The

plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or tarnishing.

□ You can apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood for additional protection and enhanced beauty. Cover small scratches with a

light application of shoe polish.

□ You do not need to oil your fan. The motor has permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings.

1. Todo el cableado debe cumplir con el Código Nacional de

fabricación ni de materiales al momento del envío desde la fábrica. El proveedor también garantiza, por un año a partir de la fecha de adquisición por el

como soporte de ventilador y tal vez deban reemplazarse.

En caso de duda, consulta a un electricista calicado.

Si tu ventilador de techo no tiene una caja de montaje aprobada

por UL, instala una conforme a las instrucciones siguientes:

□ Desconecta la energía retirando los fusibles o apagando

los cortacircuitos.

□ Asegura la caja eléctrica directamente a la estructura de la

edicación. Usa sujetadores y materiales apropiados.

La caja eléctrica y su soporte tienen que poder sostener el

peso completo del ventilador en movimiento (al menos

15.9 kg). No uses una caja eléctrica de plástico.

Las ilustraciones más abajo muestran tres formas distintas de

montar la caja eléctrica.

Si la cubierta toca el tubo bajante, retira la tapa inferior de la cubierta

y gira la cubierta 180º antes de jarla a la placa de montaje.

Para colgar el ventilador donde haya una lámpara, pero ninguna viga

de cielo raso, tal vez necesites una barra colgante como se muestra

más arriba. (disponible en cualquier tienda de The Home Depot).

NOTA: Tal vez necesites un tubo bajante más largo

para mantener la altura mínima adecuada de las aspas

al instalar el ventilador en un techo inclinado.

El ángulo máximo permitido es 30º con respecto a la

□ Retira de la cubierta (C) su aro (D), girándolo hacia la

izquierda hasta liberarlo.

□ Retira el soporte de montaje (A) de la cubierta (C)

aojando los dos tornillos de la cubierta (FF) ubicados

en las ranuras en forma de “L”.

□ Quita y guarda los dos tornillos de la cubierta (FF) y las

arandelas de seguridad (GG) en los oricios redondos.

Esto te permitirá retirar el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Inserta los cables que salen por la parte superior del

motor del ventilador (F) a través de la cubierta del

acoplador (E) y del aro de la cubierta (D).

□ Asegúrate de que las ranuras estén en la parte superior,

pasa los cables a través de la cubierta (C) y seguidamente

a través del conjunto del tubo bajante/bola (B).

□ Gira a la izquierda el tornillo de jación (RR) para quitarlo.

□ Instala el tubo bajante (B) insertándolo en el collarín del

motor (TT) y girándolo hacia la derecha hasta quedar

apretado.

□ Reinstala el tornillo de jación (RR) girándolo hacia la

derecha hasta quedar apretado.

PRECAUCIÓN: Para asegurarte de que no haya

oscilación y evitar dañar el ventilador, el tubo

bajante (B) y el tornillo del jación (RR) tienen que

estar completamente ajustados.

□ Pasa los cables de suministro de 120 V a través del oricio

central en el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Instala el soporte de montaje de techo sobre la caja eléctrica

deslizando el soporte de montaje (A) sobre los dos tornillos

(II) suministrados con la caja eléctrica. Si es necesario, usa

arandelas niveladoras (no incluidas) entre el soporte de montaje

(A) y la caja eléctrica. Fíjate que el lado plano del soporte de

montaje (A) esté hacia la caja eléctrica. Cuando uses el montaje

cerca del techo, es importante que el soporte de montaje esté

nivelado.

□ Aprieta rmemente los dos tornillos de montaje (II).

□ Retira de la cubierta (C) su aro (D), girándolo hacia la

Esto te permitirá retirar el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Retira la cubierta inferior decorativa (M) de la cubierta (C)

oprimiendo los tres pernos ubicados en el interior de la

parte inferior de la cubierta.

□ Retira tres de los seis tornillos (JJ) y arandelas de seguridad

(KK) (alternados) que sujetan el collarín del motor a la parte

superior de la carcasa del motor del ventilador (F).

□ Coloca la junta de goma (AA) sobre los otros tres tornillos e

inserta los cables que salen por la parte superior del motor

de ventilador (F) a través del aro de la cubierta (D). Asegúrate

de que la abertura de ranura esté hacia arriba y enseguida

procede a colocar la cubierta de techo (C) sobre el collarín en

la parte superior del motor (F).

□ Alinea los oricios de montaje con los oricios del motor (F)

y asegura con los tres tornillos (JJ) y arandelas de

seguridad (KK) retirados anteriormente. Aprieta bien los

tornillos de montaje.

Cómo colgar el ventilador

□ Con cuidado, levanta el conjunto del motor y el ventilador (F)

hasta el soporte de montaje deslizante (A).

□ Si usas el tubo bajante, inserta la bola de soporte del conjunto

del tubo bajante/bola (B) en el casquillo del soporte de montaje

deslizante (A).

□ Gira el conjunto de tubo bajante/bola (B) hacia la derecha hasta

que quede encajado con la pestaña del soporte de montaje

deslizante (A) alineada con la ranura de la bola.

□ Si montas cerca del cielo raso, cuelga el ventilador del gancho

suministrado usando uno de los oricios en el borde exterior de

la cubierta de techo (C).

ADVERTENCIA: El gancho (UU) debe usarse solo para sostener

el ventilador mientras se hacen las conexiones eléctricas.

Si no se cuelga como se muestra, puede romperse el

gancho (UU) y el ventilador se caerá. El gancho tiene que

pasar de adentro hacia fuera de la cubierta.

ADVERTENCIA: Al colgar el ventilador en el gancho (UU),

es fundamental que uses uno de los oricios sin ranura

(redondos) de la cubierta (C).

Cómo cablear el ventilador al receptor

IMPORTANTE: Usa las tuercas de conexión de cables (CC)

incluidas con tu ventilador. Sujeta los conectores con cinta

de electricista y asegúrate de que no haya conexiones ni

cables sueltos.

NOTA: El ventilador viene con cables terminales de 1.4 m para

usar con un conjunto extendido de tubo bajante/bola.

Si usas el conjunto extendido de tubo bajante/bola (B) de 11.4 cm

ncluido, puedes recortar los cables terminales al largo deseado

(no menos de 30.5 cm).

ADVERTENCIA: Quita los tapones de goma del motor en la

parte inferior del ventilador antes de instalar las aspas o de

vericar el motor.

□ El ventilador viene con cables terminales de 76.2 cm para

usar con el conjunto extendido de tubo bajante/bola. Si usas el

ensamblaje extendido de tubo bajante/bola (B) de 11.4 cm

(incluido), puedes recortar los cables terminales al largo

deseado (no menos de 30.5 cm). Esto dejará más espacio en la

cubierta (C). Si no quieres cortar los cables, deberás enrollarlos

cuidadosamente.

□ Conecta el o los cables verdes del motor del ventilador al cable

verde o pelado del hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de

cables (CC).

□ Conecta el cable blanco del motor del ventilador al cable blanco

del hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de cables (CC).

□ Conecta los cables negro o azul del motor del ventilador al cable

negro del hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de cables (CC).

□ Asegura cada tuerca de conexión de cables con cinta de

electricista.

□ Gira la tuerca de conexión de cables (CC) hacia arriba y coloca el

cableado dentro de la caja eléctrica (NN).

Cómo enroscar el cable sobrante

□ Con cuidado, enrosca el exceso de cable alrededor del

soporte de montaje debajo del receptor.

□ Asegura con cinta de electricista.

NOTA: Sigue estos pasos SOLO si no cortaste el cable sobrante del

ventilador de techo.

□ Alinea las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta de techo (C) con los

dos tornillos del soporte de montaje (A). Empuja hacia arriba

para enganchar las ranuras y gira de izquierda a derecha para

asegurarlas en su sitio.

□ Ajusta rmemente los dos tornillos de montaje.

□ Instala los dos tornillos de montaje (FF) y las arandelas de

seguridad (GG) (guardados en el Paso 1 del ensamblaje,

“Preparación para el montaje”) en los oricios de la cubierta

□ Instala el aro de cubierta decorativo (D) alineando las ranuras

ADVERTENCIA: Cuando uses el montaje estándar del tubo

bajante/bola, la pestaña en el aro en la parte inferior del soporte

de montaje tiene que encajar en la ranura de la bola de soporte.

Si la pestaña no se asienta correctamente en la ranura, se puede

dañar el cableado.

ADVERTENCIA: Las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta del techo

solo sirven de ayuda durante la instalación. No dejes de vigilar

el ensamblaje del ventilador hasta que los cuatro tornillos de la

cubierta estén jos y rmemente ajustados.

Cómo jar los soportes de las aspas

□ Ajusta el soporte del aspa (I) al motor (F) insertando el poste de

alineación dentro de la ranura de la parte inferior del motor del

ventilador (F) y ajustando los tornillos del motor que están

pre-ensamblados al soporte de aspa (I).

□ Repite este procedimiento para los cuatro soportes de aspas (I)

restantes.

Cómo montar el ventilador

□ Con cuidado, desengancha el ventilador del soporte de

montaje (A) y alinea las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta

del techo (C) con los dos tornillos en el soporte (A). Empuja

hacia arriba para enganchar las ranuras y gira de izquierda a

derecha para asegurarlas en su sitio. Inmediatamente aprieta

con rmeza los dos tornillos de montaje.

□ Instala los dos tornillos de montaje (FF) y las arandelas de

seguridad (GG) (guardados en el Paso 1 del ensamblaje,

“Preparación para el montaje”) en los oricios de la cubierta

□ Instala el aro de la cubierta decorativa (M) alineando las

ranuras del aro con los tornillos en la cubierta (C). Gira el aro

hacia la derecha para jarlo en su lugar.

ADVERTENCIA: Las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta del techo

solo sirven de ayuda durante la instalación. No dejes de vigilar

el ensamblaje del ventilador hasta que los cuatro tornillos de la

Cómo jar las aspas del ventilador

□ Monta las aspas del ventilador (J) al soporte correspondiente (I)

alineando los tres oricios tipo ojo de cerradura en el aspa (J)

con los tres postes de la parte superior de los soportes (I).

□ Sostén el aspa (J) cerca de su soporte (I) y presiónala (J) hacia

abajo con rmeza. Asegúrate de que los oricios tipo ojo de

cerradura estén correctamente apoyados sobre los postes del

brazo del aspa.

□ Mientras sujetas el aspa (J) hacia abajo, deslízala hacia el lado

opuesto del soporte (I) con rmeza, hasta que el aspa (J) se

acople al mecanismo de cierre (SS).

□ Asegúrate de que el mecanismo de cierre (SS) en la parte

posterior del soporte del aspa (I) se eleve y haga tope contra

el borde del aspa (J) para indicar conexión segura.

□ Revisa la parte superior del soporte del aspa (I) para

garantizar que el mecanismo de cierre (SS) esté asegurado

en su lugar.

□ Repite para las aspas restantes (J).

NOTA: El ventilador cuenta con avances novedosos

para facilitar y acelerar la instalación de las aspas.

□ Quita los tres tornillos (QQ) del conjunto del soporte del kit de

luces (G).

□ Conecta los cables que salen de la parte inferior del conjunto

del motor (F), uniendo los enchufes con adaptadores

moldeados (azul con azul, blanco con blanco).

□ Desliza el conjunto del kit de luces (G) y asegúralo a la caja del

interruptor usando los tres tornillos (QQ) que se quitaron en el

primer paso.

PRECAUCIÓN: Para disminuir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica,

desconecta el circuito de energía del ventilador antes de

instalar el kit de luces.

Cómo instalar las bombillas y

colocar la pantalla de vidrio

□ Quita el aro compresor (MM) del portabombillas roscado del

kit de luces (G) girándolo hacia la izquierda hasta liberarlo.

□ Inserta la pantalla de vidrio (H) en la cubierta del kit de luces

y gira el aro compresor (MM) hacia la derecha para ajustar

y asegurar la pantalla de vidrio. Repite para las pantallas

restantes.

□ Con la corriente desconectada, instala las bombillas LED (K)

en los portabombillas.

□ Fija las extensiones de los interruptores de cadena (BB) a los

interruptores de cadena de la lámpara y del ventilador.

PRECAUCIÓN: Asegúrate de que la corriente esté cortada

antes de montar o retirar el tazón de vidrio.

ADVERTENCIA: Espera que el tazón de vidrio se enfríe

completamente antes de retirarlo.

PRECAUCIÓN: Colocar bombillas de vataje incorrecto hará

que las luces del ventilador se apaguen hasta que se instalen

las bombillas adecuadas. Para cambiar las luces, apaga la

electricidad, reemplaza las bombillas por otras del vataje

correcto y vuelve a conectar la electricidad.

Funcionamiento

Enciende la electricidad y verica el funcionamiento del ventilador.

El interruptor de cadena controla las velocidades del ventilador de la

siguiente manera:

1 vez: alta, 2 veces: media, 3 veces: baja y 4 veces: apagado.

Las conguraciones de velocidad apropiadas para clima cálido o frío

dependen de factores como el tamaño de la habitación, la altura del

techo y la cantidad de ventiladores.

El ventilador se envía desde la fábrica con el interruptor de reversa

colocado para hacer circular el aire hacia abajo. Si deseas dirigir

la corriente de aire en la dirección contraria, apaga el ventilador

y espera que las aspas se detengan; seguidamente desliza el

interruptor de reversa (YY) (ubicado en la caja del interruptor) hacia

la dirección opuesta y vuelve a encender el ventilador. Las aspas del

ventilador girarán en sentido contrario y cambiarán la dirección de la

corriente de aire.

A. Clima cálido - (Forward - Hacia adelante) Un ujo de aire

descendente surte efecto refrescante. Esto te permite congurar tu

aire acondicionado a temperatura más alta sin afectar tu comodidad.

B. Clima frío - (Reversa) Un ujo de aire hacia arriba desplaza el aire

cálido lejos del cielo raso. Esto te permite congurar la unidad de

calefacción a temperatura más baja sin afectar tu comodidad.

NOTA: Espera a que se detenga el ventilador antes de invertir la

dirección de giro de las aspas.

□ Verica los fusibles o cortacircuitos principales y secundarios.

□ Verica las conexiones de cables en línea con el ventilador y las conexiones de cables del interruptor en la caja

de interruptores.

□ Asegura que todos los tornillos de la carcasa del motor estén ajustados.

□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos que unen el soporte de aspa al cuerpo del motor estén bien apretados.

□ Asegúrate de que las conexiones de tuerca de cable no choquen unas con otras ni con la pared interior de la caja

del interruptor.

□ Deja que transcurra un período de “adaptación” de 24 horas. En ese período desaparecen la mayoría de los

ruidos asociados a un ventilador nuevo.

□ Si usas el kit de luces de ventilador de techo, asegúrate de que los tornillos que sujetan el vidrio estén bien

apretados. Verica que las bombillas estén igualmente aseguradas.

□ Asegúrate de que la cubierta esté a corta distancia del techo. No debe tocar el techo.

□ Asegura que la caja eléctrica quede bien ajustada y que se hayan instalado almohadillas aislantes de goma entre

la placa de montaje y la caja eléctrica.

El ventilador oscila. □ Verica que todas las aspas y los tornillos de sus brazos estén bien ajustados.

□ La mayoría de los problemas de oscilación del ventilador se deben a que las aspas no están al mismo nivel.

Verica este nivel seleccionando un punto en el cielo raso sobre la punta de una de las aspas. Mide desde un

punto en el centro de cada aspa a un punto en el techo. Rota el ventilador hasta que la siguiente aspa esté en

posición para medir y mide desde el mismo punto en cada aspa hasta el cielo raso. Repite el procedimiento

para cada aspa. Las desviaciones de la medición no deben pasar de 0.3 cm. Enciende el ventilador durante

diez minutos. Si el ventilador continúa oscilando, comunícate con el servicio al cliente y te enviarán un kit de

compensación de aspas, sin costo alguno.

□ Debido al movimiento natural del ventilador, algunas conexiones pueden aojarse. Revisa dos veces al año las conexiones de soporte, los

soportes y los accesorios de las aspas. Comprueba que estén seguros. No es necesario desmontar el ventilador del techo.

□ Limpia el ventilador con frecuencia para que luzca como nuevo al paso de los años. No uses agua al limpiar. Esto puede dañar el motor o la

madera e incluso provocar descarga eléctrica. Usa sólo un cepillo suave o un paño sin pelusas para evitar arañar el acabado.

El revestimiento está sellado con laca para minimizar la decoloración u opacidad.

□ Puedes aplicar a la madera una na capa de pulimento para muebles y asegurar así mayor protección y superior belleza. Cubre los

arañazos pequeños con una leve aplicación de lustrador para calzado.

□ No necesitas lubricar el ventilador. El motor tiene cojinetes de bola sellados y permanentemente lubricados.

ADVERTENCIA: Asegúrate de que la fuente de corriente

está apagada antes de limpiar el ventilador.
