Quick Reference Guide (QRG) contains the product’s connection and
mounting information, as well as the menu options and the DMX values.

• Always connect this product to a grounded circuit to avoid the risk of

Always disconnect from the power source before cleaning this product or replacing
the fuse.
• Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while the product is on.
• Make sure the power cord is not crimped or damaged.
• If mounting this product overhead, always secure it to a fastening device using a
safety cable.
• Make sure there are no flammable materials close to the unit while operating.
• Do not touch this product’s housing when operating because it may be very hot
• Always make sure that the voltage of the outlet to which you are connecting this
product is within the range stated on the decal or rear panel of the product.
• This product is for indoor use only! (IP20) To prevent risk of fire or shock, do not
expose this product to rain or moisture.
• Always install this product in a location with adequate ventilation, at least 20 in
(50 cm) from adjacent surfaces.
• Be sure that no ventilation slots on the unit’s housing are blocked.
• Never connect this product to a dimmer.
• Make sure to replace the fuse with the same type and rating.
• Never carry this product from the power cord or any moving part. Always use the
hanging/mounting bracket or the handles.
• The maximum ambient temperature is 104 °F (40 °C). Do not operate this product
at higher temperatures.
• In the event of a serious operating problem, stop using this product immediately.
• Never try to repair this product. Repairs performed by unauthorized technicians
can lead to damage or malfunction. Please contact the nearest authorized technical
assistance center.

Before You
Begin
Prior to using your Mega Trix, ensure that you have received all parts indicated
above in good condition. If the container or material inside appear damaged or show
signs of mishandling, notify the carrier immediately, not Chauvet.
Product
Description
The Mega Trix is a lightweight, animated DMX effect light. Super-crisp optics
create sharp beams of light with flowing animations from pod-to-
pod with no
moving parts. Mounting easily to most tripods and speaker stands, the Mega Trix
also offers power linking to save time and clutter.

AC Power
This product has an auto-ranging power supply that works
with an input voltage
range of 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
To eliminate wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use
completely disconnect from power via breaker or by unplugging it.
Power Linking
You can link up to 17 Mega Trix units at 120 VAC and 32 units at 230 VAC. Never
exceed this number.
Fuse Replacement
To replace the fuse in the Mega Trix, use the following steps:
1. Disconnect this product from the power outlet.
2. Wedge the tip of a flat head screwdriver into the slot of the fuse holder.
3. Pry the safety cap out of the housing pulling out the installed fuse.
4. Remove the blown fuse from the safety cap and replace with a fuse of the exact
same type and rating.
5. Insert the fuse holder back in place and reconnect power.

DMX Linking
The Mega Trix can work with a DMX controller when linked using a regular DMX
serial connection.
If you are not familiar with the DMX standard, please download the DMX Primer

Connection
The Mega Trix uses a regular DMX data connection for its DMX personalities.

To ensure full access to all channels in each DMX mode, the highest recommended
DMX address is 510.

Sustitución del
fusible
Para sustituir el fusible del Mega Trix, siga estos pasos:

Le Mega Trix est un système d'éclairage léger à effets DMX animés. Des optiques
ultra-
précis permettent la projection de faisceaux de lumière bien définis en
animations flottantes d'unité en unité, sans pièce mobile. Facile à monter sur la

Remplacement
du fusible
Pour remplacer le fusible du Mega Trix, suivez les étapes suivantes :

2. Insérez et calez la pointe d'un tournevis à tête plate dans la fente du porte-fusible.
3. En faisant levier, faites sortir de son emplacement le couvercle de sécurité, puis
retirez le fusible.
4. Retirez le fusible obsolète du couvercle de sécurité et remplacez-le par un fusible
équivalent.
5. Insérez à nouveau le porte-fusible à sa place et rebranchez l'appareil.

Dieses Gerät verfügt über ein Vorschaltgerät, das automatisch die anliegende
Spannung erkennt, sobald der Netzstecker in die Schukosteckdose gesteckt wird, und
kann mit einer Eingangsspannung von 100~240 V AC, 50/60 Hz arbeiten.
Um unnötigen Verschleiß zu vermeiden und die Lebensdauer des Geräts zu

Auswechseln der
Sicherung
Zum Auswechseln der Sicherung des Mega Trix gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
1. Trennen Sie das Gerät vom Stromnetz.
2. Klemmen Sie die Spitze eines Flachkopfschraubendrehers in den Schlitz des
Sicherungshalters.
3. Hebeln Sie die Sicherheitsabdeckung vom Gehäuse weg ab, und nehmen Sie den
Sicherheitshalter heraus.
4. Entfernen Sie die durchgebrannte Sicherung, und ersetzen Sie diese durch eine
Sicherung des gleichen Typs und mit den gleichen Werten.
5. Setzen Sie die Sicherung wieder ein, und schließen Sie das Gerät an das
Stromnetz an.

AC-stroom
Dit product heeft een voeding met automatisch bereik die werkt met een

Vervangen van
de zekering
Gebruik de volgende stappen voor het vervangen van de zekering in de Mega Trix:
1. Ontkoppel dit product van het stopcontact.
2. Wig de punt van een platte schroevendraaier in de sleuf van de zekeringhouder.

Druk de beveiligingskap uit de behuizing, waardoor de geplaatste zekering wordt
uitgetrokken.
4. Verwijder de doorgebrande zekering uit de beveiligingskap en vervang deze
